    Analysis of Teachers' Personality Competence in the Manuscript "Sedikit Tentang Pendidikan" by Haji Ismail Arsyad

    This study aims to analyze the teacher personality competencies outlined in the manuscript Sedikit Tentang Pendidikan by Haji Ismail Arsyad. The continuing prevalence of moral decay in educational settings serves as the rationale for investigating the teacher personality competencies presented in this manuscript, as they offer significant relevance for application in educational contexts.The research employs a descriptive-analytical method with a qualitative approach, utilizing content analysis for data collection. The primary data source was the manuscript transcribed by Dr. Erwin Mahrus, S.Ag., complemented by secondary sources such as related books and journals. The findings reveal that the manuscript Sedikit Tentang Pendidikan emphasizes several key personality traits that teachers should possess, including a strong character, authority, noble morals, and the ability to serve as role models for students. This study is expected to contribute to the development of teacher personality competencies in the field of education and offer valuable insights for academics, educators, and society at large.Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menganalisis kompetensi kepribadian guru yang ada di dalam manuskrip karya Haji Ismail Arsyad yang berjudul “Sedikit Tentang Pendidikan.” Masih menjamurnya dekadensi moral di bangku pendidikan menjadi alasan kenapa kompetensi kepribadian guru dalam manuskrip ini perlu dikaji. Sebab di dalam manuskrip ini terkandung kompetensi kepribadian guru yang sangat relevan diterapkan di bangku pendidikan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah metode deskriptif analitik dengan pendekatan kualitatif serta pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik content analysis. Sumber primer dalam penelitian ini ialah manuskrip karya Haji Ismail Arsyad yang telah dialih aksarakan oleh Dr. Erwin Mahrus, S.Ag. Sementara sumber sekunder yang peneliti gunakan yaitu buku dan jurnal-jurnal yang berkaitan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa di dalam manuskrip “Sedikit Tentang Pendidikan” ada beberapa kepribadian khas yang harus dimiliki oleh guru, di antaranya: memiliki kepribadian yang kuat, berwibawa, dan berakhlak mulia, serta menjadi panutan bagi siswa. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi dalam pengembangan kompetensi kepribadian guru di bidang Pendidikan, serta dapat memberikan sumbangsih terhadap para akademisi, guru dan masyarakat pada umumnya

    AN ANALYSIS OF BUYA HAMKA’S THOUGHTS ON ADAB CRISIS SOLUTION THROUGH HIKMAH METHODS ACCORDING TO TAFSIR AL-AZHAR

    Courtesy or adab is crucial in human life because it will influence many other aspects of life. The current courtesy crisis is vital to overcome to create civilized people. One of the solutions to the courtesy crisis is wisdom (hikmah). This research analyzed Buya Hamka’s thoughts on solutions to the courtesy crisis through the wisdom method. The research employed a literature study method with a content analysis approach. Data was obtained from Buya Hamka’s works and books and journals related to Buya Hamka’s thoughts. Data analysis used three steps: compare, contrast, and criticize. The research revealed that Hamka defined wisdom as a harmony of interrelated meanings, where achieving wisdom was the main goal for those who attempted to learn it. Hamka offers several ways to gain wisdom, i.e., reading and understanding the Qur’an, thinking deeply, and imitating good behavior. The goals of wisdom include being wise in carrying out obligations, knowing the nature of things/the secrets of life, being able to adjust actions and knowledge, knowing God, and achieving happiness. According to Hamka, wisdom can solve the courtesy crisis by maximizing seven aspects of spiritual intelligence: al-ruh, al-qalb, al-nafs, al-aql, faith, worship, and courtesy.     STRATEGI LEMBAGA DAKWAH DALAM INOVASI KEWIRAUSAHAAN DI ERA DISRUPTIF

    The disruptive era will add to increasingly open global competition, many challenges faced by today's society. Each country must compete by highlighting the superiority of its respective resources, which is called entrepreneurship. Considering the importance of entrepreneurship, an entrepreneurial spirit needs to be instilled as early as possible. At the same time, in entrepreneurial outcomes, something called innovation is needed which has an important role in developing a number of new ideas, before being transformed into a product, the previous innovation must be evaluated to study whether the product will be successful on the market. Therefore, an institution needs to have the right strategy in marketing. Likewise with missionary institutions, in order to encourage goodness and prevent evil, there needs to be a strategy for innovation in the field of entrepreneurship. When an institution only focuses on traditional methods and does not look at modern things, the da'wah institution will position itself as an institution that only includes a vision and mission without any changes. Especially in this disruptive era, da'wah institutions are required to be part of immediately adapting to various advances in technology and knowledge. The research results show that da'wah institutions must have an innovation strategy in preaching, namely developing entrepreneurship programs, technological innovation in preaching, where da'wah institutions are not blind to the existence of technology that offers efficiency in the entrepreneurial development process in a disruptive era, collaboration that creates cooperation with various parties who have the same ideology and vision, and creates new business models.Keywords: Da'wah Institutions, Entrepreneurship, Innovation, Disruptive Era[Era disruptif akan menambah persaingan global yang semakin terbuka, banyak tantangan yang dihadapi oleh Masyarakat sekarang ini. Setiap negara yang harus bersaing dengan menonjolkan keunggulan sumberdaya masing-masing yang disebut dengan wirausaha. Mengingat pentingnya kewirausahaan maka jiwa wirausaha perlu ditanamkan sedini mungkin. Tatkala dengan itu, dalam hasul wirausaha maka diperlukan yang Namanya inovasi yang memiliki peran penting dalam mengembangkan sejumlah ide-ide baru, sebelum ditransformasikan menjadi produk, inovasi sebelumnya harus dievaluasi untuk dikaji apakah produk tersebut akan berhasil dipasarkan. Maka dari itu sebuah lembaga perlu mempunyai strategi yang tepat dalam pemasaran. Begitu pula dengan lembaga dakwah, dalam mengajak kebaikan danm mencegah kemungkaran perlu adanya strategi dalam melakukan inovasi dalam bidang wirausaha. Tatkala lembaga hanya berfokus pada cara tradisional dan tidak melirik pada hal modern, maka lembaga dakwah tersebut akan meletakkan posisinya sebagai lembaga yang hanya mencantumkan visi misi tanpa adanya perubahan. Terutama pada era disruptif, lembaga dakwah dituntut untuk menjadi bagian yang segera beradaptasi dengan berbagai kemajuan teknologi dan pengetahuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lembaga dakwah harus memiliki strategi inovasi dalam berdakwah yaitu pengembangan program kewirausahaan, inovasi teknologi dalam dakwah, Dimana lembaga dakwah tidak buta terhadap adanya teknologi yang memberikan tawaran efisiensi dalam proses perkembangan kewirausahaan di era disruptif, kolaborasi yang menciptakan Kerjasama dengan berbagai pihak yang mempunyai ideologi dan visi yang sama, dan menciptakan model bisnis baru].     Implementation of the IT-Based Independent Learning Curriculum in the IPAS Subject at Muhammadiyah Islamic Primary School Karangwaru

    This study aims to examine the implementation of the Independent Curriculum based on Information Technology (IT) in the subject of IPAS (Natural and Social Sciences) at Muhammadiyah Karangwaru Islamic Elementary School , located in Karangwaru Village, Plupuh District, Sragen Regency. The primary focus of this research is to assess the extent to which the integration of IT within the Independent Curriculum enhances the meaningfulness of the IPAS learning process. The research problem is formulated as follows: To what extent does the implementation of the IT-based Independent Curriculum influence the meaningfulness of IPAS learning at Muhammadiyah Karangwaru Islamic Elementary School? The methodology employed is a quantitative descriptive approach, with data collected through closed questionnaires distributed to the head of the madrasa and teacher. The results indicate that a significant majority of respondents hold a positive perception of the implementation of this curriculum. Specifically, 28. 6% of respondents reported that IT-based IPAS learning often provides meaningful learning experiences, while another 28. 6% affirmed that such experiences consistently occur. Conversely, only 14. 3% indicated that they seldom encounter meaningful learning, and another 14. 3% reported never having such experiences. These findings suggest that the application of the IT-based Independent Curriculum can create a more contextual, interactive, and relevant IPAS learning experience. This study contributes to the development of literature on digital education innovation in elementary Islamic education institutions and provides empirical foundations for policymakers and teacher in designing technology-based learning strategies.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka berbasis Teknologi Informasi (TI) pada mata pelajaran IPAS (Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial) di Muhammadiyah Karangwaru Islamic Elementary School , Desa Karangwaru, Kecamatan Plupuh, Kabupaten Sragen. Fokus utama penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui sejauh mana integrasi TI dalam Kurikulum Merdeka dapat meningkatkan kebermaknaan proses pembelajaran IPAS. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah: Sejauh mana implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka berbasis TI memberikan dampak terhadap kebermaknaan pembelajaran IPAS di Muhammadiyah Karangwaru Islamic Elementary School ? Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif, dengan pengumpulan data melalui angket tertutup yang disebarkan kepada kepala madrasah dan tenaga pendidik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar responden memiliki persepsi positif terhadap pelaksanaan kurikulum ini. Sebanyak 28,6% menyatakan bahwa pembelajaran IPAS berbasis TI sering memberikan pengalaman belajar yang bermakna, dan 28,6% lainnya menyatakan hal tersebut selalu terjadi. Sementara itu, hanya 14,3% yang menyatakan jarang, dan 14,3% tidak pernah merasakannya. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa penerapan Kurikulum Merdeka berbasis TI mampu menciptakan pengalaman belajar IPAS yang lebih kontekstual, interaktif, dan relevan. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi terhadap pengembangan literatur inovasi pendidikan digital di madrasah ibtidaiyah serta memberikan dasar empiris bagi pengambil kebijakan dan pendidik dalam merancang strategi pembelajaran berbasis teknologi

    CHARACTER BUILDING OF STUDENTS THROUGH RELIGIOUS HABIT FORMATION PROGRAM AT MTS IRSYADUL ANAM SLEMAN

    This study aims to describe and analyze the implementation of the religious habituation program in shaping students’ character at MTs Irsyadul Anam Sleman. The background of this research arises from the increasing urgency of Islamic education in forming learners who are not only intellectually capable but also possess noble character, emotional maturity, and strong spiritual awareness. In the context of contemporary moral challenges, religious habituation serves as an effective and preventive strategy because it integrates character formation into daily routines and consistently exposes students to religious values within the madrasah environment. Through continuous practice, religious activities are expected to internalize moral behavior, transforming external actions into habitual attitudes and personal awareness.This research employed a descriptive qualitative method, with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The research subjects consisted of the principal and Islamic Education teachers who were directly involved in planning and carrying out the program. The data were analyzed using the interactive analysis model by Miles and Huberman, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. This analytical approach enabled the researchers to obtain an in-depth understanding of the forms, procedures, supporting factors, and challenges in implementing religious habituation, as well as its influence on students’ character development.The findings revealed that religious habituation at MTs Irsyadul Anam was carried out through various structured activities, including Dhuha prayer, recitation of Asmaul Husna, daily Qur’an tadarus, Clean Friday, and Friday Infaq (charitable giving). These activities effectively fostered religious commitment, discipline, responsibility, empathy, and social care among students. In addition, the active involvement of teachers and the student organization (OSIM) strengthened supervision and created a collaborative, motivating, and enjoyable learning atmosphere. Overall, the religious habituation program played a significant role in shaping students who are faithful, well-mannered, and capable of applying Islamic values both within the school setting and in their daily lives beyond the classroom

    MARKETING STRATEGY OF GOLD SAVING PRODUCTS IN ISLAMIC PAWNSHOP

    Gold Savings is a service for buying and selling gold at affordable prices through custodial facilities. This gold savings product was launched aim of helping people who want to buy gold with minimal capital. This study aims to clarify the implementation of the marketing strategy for gold savings products and the barriers to marketing gold savings products at the Islamic pawnshop Sidrap Branch. In this study, the authors used a qualitative methods field research approach. Data acquisition techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the marketing strategy of gold deposit products carried out by Islamic pawnshop Sidrap Branch is based on the marketing mix strategy, while Pegadaian Syariah Sidrap Branch focuses on the promotion mix. Focus on other marketing mix strategies. Promotional mix strategies include advertising, personal selling, promotion, and public relations. There are two constraints regarding marketing gold savings products. Mostly, it is a factor that comes from the customer, and the Islamic pawnshop's side lacks understanding of the gold savings product itself as it is a place without quality products. Readers not only know about investment products such as gold savings but also have some technical knowledge that is still lacking, but the technology currently being developed makes it easier for customers to find the information they ordered

    Migration, Balik-Islam, and Identity Formation of Muslims in Palawan of The Philippines

    Since the 1970s, Muslims in Mindanao, Philippines have had a conflict with the government. The religious-based conflict not only caused deaths but also forced people to migrate from Mindanao. One of the targeted places was Palawan Island. It is situated in the southwest of the Philippines – rather far from any other islands in the Philippines. It is then called “The Last Frontier”. This research focuses on studying the reasons for their migration to Palawan, Philippines and keeping their Islamic identities from 1970 to 2001. This research uses a socio-historical and socio-anthropological approaches. Survey methods and structured interviews are utilized to complete the literature study as primary or secondary sources. The theory of migration conflict from Nancie L. Gonzalez is used to analyse the migration in Palawan whereas for the analysis of the identity establishment, the theory of collective identity is utilized. As a result, the migration of the Muslims of Palawan, Philippines in 1970-2001 was a complex and recurrent event. The motive of the migration was the conflict in Mindanao resulting in economic opportunities in Palawan. As for the identity establishment, building the mosque became a symbol and a starting point for the Muslim migrant in Palawan. They had shared meaning in the phenomenon of Balik-Islam and their sense of belonging to Palawan as an Autonomous Region Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) via plebiscite–referendum for integration into Muslim Mindanao or not

    Church and Youth Resilience to Substance Abuse: Assessing Church Responses, Challenges and Gaps

    Realising the fundamental role of the church in youth development and social work, the study investigates the responses, challenges and gaps in combating youth substance abuse by the church. It highlights the need for holistic interventions while emphasising the need for mental health resilience. The study employed a qualitative approach, combining document analysis and review of literary materials to assess church and substance abuse among youth, especially cases studied in the Philippines and Kenya. The findings indicate that the church’s interventions in youth substance abuse include moral teachings, awareness raising and support project activities. The study also underscores the importance of family dynamics in developing resilience against substance abuse. The major challenges faced by the church concerning youth substance abuse and promoting resilience include poverty and peer pressure, which hinder the youth’s desire to undergo interventions. Moreover, cultural stigma and denial from the parents or guardians block the youth from seeking help. Cultural belief systems also disrupt family connections, further underlining the need for robust support systems. An enormous gulf exists between the church and the youth, which undermines any preventative measures that might be undertaken. The research proffers useful pointers for policymakers, church leaders, and social workers regarding the lifestyle aspects that link faith, culture, and youth substance addiction. It recommends that the church customise its approaches to address the specific challenges faced by young people struggling with substance abuse, focusing on health, healing, and resilience, aligning with the challenges faced by different youths and the need for urgent attention

    Pengaruh Motivasi Belajar Terhadap Aktivitas dan Hasil Belajar Mata Pelajaran PAI dan Budi Pekerti Di SMP Negeri 2 Galing

    This study aims to determine the motivation, activities, and learning outcomes of students, as well as the influence of motivation on learning activities and learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education and Character Education at SMP Negeri 2 Galing. The research method uses descriptive quantitative research. The subjects of this study were students in grades VIII A and B at SMP Negeri 2 Galing. Data collection techniques used observation, questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis used, namely, validity test, reliability test, normality test and simple linear regression test. The results of the study showed: (1) student learning motivation is included in the very good category; (2) learning activities are included in the good category; (3) learning outcomes are included in the good category; and (4) the influence of learning motivation on learning activities and outcomes is included in the high category. The influence of learning motivation on students' learning activities obtained F count of 335.342 with a significance level of 0.000 0.05, and a percentage level of 89.9%, while the influence of learning motivation on learning outcomes obtained F count of 601.979 with a significance level of 0.000 0.05, and a percentage level of 94.1%

    Dakwah Melalui Tradisi Brokohan Masyarakat Jawa di Desa Rasau Jaya

    Abstract:The Brokohan tradition is one of the traditions of Indonesian society, especially from the Javanese tribe which aims to expect barokahan from Allah SWT, for the blessings that have been given, namely in the form of offspring. The Brokohan tradition has been proven to be able to preserve the culture of gratitude, harmony and friendship of the Javanese people. This success is inseparable from the meanings and ways of the Javanese people in carrying out the brokohan tradition. This article tries to explain the meaning contained in barokohan as an effort to preserve the positive traditions of the Javanese people. The purpose of this study is for the general public to know about the meaning of the Brokohan tradition. The data collection process is carried out by qualitative methods, while the analysis uses descriptive analysis.  The results of the analysis gave rise to 3 major themes regarding the meaning of the Brokohan tradition, namely: the meaning of gratitude to the creator, the meaning of friendship, and the meaning of harmony. The study of these three meanings is very useful for the general public, especially those who are in the Javanese tribal environment. The need for positive traditional data in the current era is important to be fulfilled immediately, in the midst of a pluralistic society and tribal conflicts caused by differences in traditions. The central theme in this article is the importance of preserving positive traditions in the midst of the onslaught of globalization.Keywords: Tradition, Brokohan, Javanese, Gratitude, Gathering, Harmony. Globalization.Abstrak :Tradisi Brokohan adalah salah satu tradisi masyarakat Indonesia, khusunya dari suku Jawa yang bertujuan untuk mengharapkan kebarokahan dari Allah SWT, atas nikmat yang telah diberikan yakni berupa keturunan. Tradisi Brokohan terbukti dapat melestarikan budaya syukur, kerukunan dan sillaturahim Masyarakat Jawa,. Keberhasilan itu tidak terlepas dari makna-makna dan cara masyarakat jawa dalam melaksanakan tradisi brokohan. Artikel ini mencoba memaparkan tentang makna yang terkandung dalam barokohan sebagai upaya pelestarian tradisi positif masyarakat Jawa. Tujuan Studi ini adalah supaya masyarakat umum mengenal tentang sebuah makna dari tradisi Brokohan. Proses pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode kualitatif, sedangkan untuk analisisnya menggunakan analisis deksriptif.  Hasil analisis memunculkan 3 tema besar mengenai makna tradisi Brokohan yakni: makna syukur kepada sang pecipta, makna silaturahmi, dan makna kerukunan. Kajian tentang ketiga makna itu sangat berguna bagi khususnya masyarakat umum yang berada dalam lingkungan suku Jawa. Kebutuhan akan data tradisi yang positif di era saat ini, menjadi penting untuk segera dipenuhi, ditengah tengah masyarakat yang majemuk dan konflik-konflik kesukuan yang diakibatkan oleh perbedaan tradisi. Tema sentral dalam artikel ini adalah pentingnya melestarikan tradisi positif di tengah gempuran globalisasi.Kata-kata Kunci: Tradisi, Brokohan, Suku Jawa, Syukur, Silaturahmi, Kerukunan.
