This study aims to examine the role of school principals and work motivation in influencing teacher performance based on digital technology. The case study is conducted at Dayah Terpadu Almuslimun Lhoksukon. The research was carried out in North Aceh Regency in July 2024. The sample consists of 118 respondents. The research model uses quantitative statistics with WarpPLS software version 8.0. The results indicate that the leadership style of the school principal affects teacher performance. Additionally, work motivation influences teacher performance. The coefficient of determination for the endogenous variable of leadership style has an impact of 53.9% on teacher performance, with the remaining 47.1% being influenced by other variables not covered in this study

Pengaruh Keyakinan Matematika (Belief Mathematic) dan Rasa Ingin Tahu (Curiosity) Terhadap Kemampuan Komunikasi Matematika

    No full text
The purpose of this research is to determine: 1) The influence of mathematical beliefs on students' mathematical communication abilities; 2) The influence of curiosity on students' mathematical communication skills; 3) The influence of mathematical beliefs on students' curiosity; 4) The indirect influence of mathematical beliefs through curiosity on students' mathematical communication skills. The research method used is a correlational survey method with statistics using a path analysis design. The research population was all 10th grade high school students in Sape District, odd semester of the 2023/2024 academic year, totaling 619 students. The number of samples taken was 243 students. The research results show: 1) There is an insignificant effect of mathematical beliefs on mathematical communication skills. This is proven by the value of Tcount = 1.278 and Sig. 0.203 > 0.05. 2) There is a significant influence of curiosity on mathematical communication skills. This is proven by the value of Tcount = 2.035 and Sig. 0.043 < 0.05. Referring to the hypothetical decision making criteria that the Sig value. 0.043 < 0.05. 3) There is a significant influence of mathematical beliefs on curiosity. This is proven by the value of Tcount = 35.915 and Sig. 0.000 < 0.05. 4) There is a significant indirect effect of mathematical beliefs through curiosity on students' mathematical communication skills. This is proven by the value of Tcount > Ttable (2.60 > 1.97). The conclusion that can be obtained from the research above is that mathematical beliefs have an insignificant influence so they need to be improved and studied more deeply regarding the aspects that inhibit students' mathematical beliefs. Then, in improving students' mathematical communication skills, mathematical beliefs need to be encouraged in the aspect of curiosity

Ethnography of Science: A Literature Review

    Get PDF
The study of how certain communities or ethnic groups perceive and comprehend science is known as ethnoscience. This discipline investigates how various communities use, comprehend, and interpret science. While some communities could be more skeptics and hesitant to adopt new science and technology, others might be more receptive to both. Beliefs, culture, and religion may all have an impact on how society applies science. In addition, ethnoscience investigates the ways in which science affects society. An educational strategy called ethnoscience links the actual knowledge of a society to scientific understanding . It is a new type of ethnography that allows cultural researchers to develop grassroots ideas based on ethno and folk without necessarily accepting western cultural theories that may be irrelevant.Ethnoscience is an interdisciplinary field of study that combines the principles of ethnography and science. This field aims to understand the relationship between culture and science. This article discusses the origins of ethnoscience, the scope of the field of ethnoscience studies, and the future of ethnoscience. Ethnoscience encompasses a variety of scientific disciplines, including anthropology, sociology, history, and philosophy of science. One of the main research areas in ethnoscience is the study of indigenous knowledge systems. Ethnoscience also studies the relationship between science and religion. Ethnoscience can help us understand how scientific knowledge is produced and used in different cultural contexts

Syntactical Pattern of News Headlines in The Jakarta Post and The Diplomat Reporting The 2024 Indonesian Presidential Election

    Get PDF
The research discussed the syntactical pattern in news headlines between two different-country background news report channels, The Jakarta Post and The Diplomat reporting the same case, that was Indonesian Election 2024. The data source consists of twenty different news titles from both channels published on June 6, 2023. A qualitative approach with a descriptive analysis is used in this research. The Syntax underlying tree pattern by Van Valin et al (1997) serves as the framework for this research. The research findings showed that it was found that the Indonesian channel, Jakarta Post, have all sentential headline pattern in their ten news with nine simple sentences and one complex sentence, while The Diplomat which is from America, have eight sentential headlines and two phrased pattern from their ten news with simple sentence form at all headlines

Quality Of Algebra Questions to Measure Mathematical Literacy Ability Using Partial Credit Model

    Get PDF
Mathematical literacy skills require someone to understand, analyze, interpret, evaluate and synthesize knowledge obtained from the problems faced by modeling them into appropriate solutions in solving a problem effectively. The need to develop questions according to students' daily problems can familiarize students with mathematical literacy. The research developed mathematical literacy test questions on the theme of tobacco farming in the Puger Jember area to measure students' mathematical literacy abilities at the high school level. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) using the Thiagarajan model which is modified into three stages, namely definition, planning and development. Field trial results were analyzed using Ministep software with Rasch modeling using the Partial Credit Model (PCM) method. The results obtained from the ten questions that were developed can be said to be fit, with the reliability of 139 interactions between students and the question items, the quality is still poor, 75 students' interactions between students and the question items are of good quality. The item reliability of the literacy questions developed was 0.80 in the first 75 samples, 0.95 in the next 75 samples and 0.89 in the last 64 samples, indicating that the questions developed were good and able to measure students' abilities well
