Developing E-Mowara: An archipelago-insighted electronic module to train middle school students\u27 computational thinking skills
To face the challenges of Indonesian education in the 21st century, the requirements for abilities are crucial, but the facts show that students are less able to use and adapt their abilities with insights aligned with the identity of the Indonesian nation. For this reason, researchers developed an E-Mowara: Interactive Emodule with an Archipelagic Outlook. This study aimed to develop the E-Mowara electronic module and find out students\u27 responses after using the developed media. The target of this study was class VIII junior high school students with number pattern material. This development research uses a design research type of development study. The data collection technique in this study used a questionnaire with data processing techniques analyzed using percentage data analysis techniques. This is based on the validation results in terms of the material average of 84.35% with the appropriate criteria, and in terms of media, an average of 85.90% with the appropriate criteria. Students\u27 responses to E-Mowara were quite good, with a percentage of 92.5%. Based on this result, the E-Mowara Electronic Module is known as valid, easy to use, and effective in developing computational thinking skills with insights that are in harmony with the identity of the Indonesian nation
Pengaruh Capital Intensity, Perencanaan Pajak, dan Risiko Bisnis terhadap Nilai Perusahaan: (Studi Empiris pada Perusahaan Sektor Konsumen Primer di Bursa Efek Indonesia Tahun 2018-2022)
The study was conducted by analyzing the 2018-2022 annual financial reports of primary consumer companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The sample used in this study consisted of 35 large consumer sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2018-2022 period using a purposive sampling technique. The variables used in this study are capital intensity, tax planning, business risk as independent variables, and firm value as dependent variables. The research method uses the panel data regression method using EViews 13 Student Version Lite software. Based on the results of the study, the best model is the fixed effect model. The results of the study indicate that there is an influence of capital intensity, tax planning, and business risk on firm value simultaneously, there is an influence of capital intensity on firm value with a significant negative effect, tax planning on firm value is stated to have no significant effect and there is an influence of business risk on firm value with a significant positive effect
Development of learning media using QuizWhizzer based on ethnomathematics as a learning exercise
The utilization of ethnomathematics-based learning media has driven this research to explore students\u27 understanding of the application of mathematics in daily life. This study aims to (1) Describe how the ethnomathematics-based learning media using QuizWhizzer as a learning exercise is developed; (2) Evaluate the validity of the ethnomathematics-based learning media using QuizWhizzer as a learning exercise; (3) Assess the practicality of the ethnomathematics-based learning media using QuizWhizzer as a learning exercise; (4) To evaluate the effectiveness of the ethnomathematics-based learning media using QuizWhizzer as a learning exercise. The research and development (R&D) method, specifically the ADDIE model, was used for this study. Data sources were obtained from the validation results of media and content experts and eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 50 Bandung. The findings indicate that (1) The development process adhered to the stages of the ADDIE model; (2) The validation of the mathematics learning media was rated as “highly valid” by both media and content experts; (3) The practicality of the learning media using QuizWhizzer was rated as “highly practical”; (4) The effectiveness of the QuizWhizzer-based learning media was rated as "effective.
Exploration of high school students\u27 sentiments and emotions towards mathematics: Linked to learning outcomes
Mathematics research often focuses only on students\u27 learning outcomes without considering their emotional aspects. This study aims to describe the tendency of students\u27 sentiment toward mathematics in general and partially based on mathematics learning outcome groups, namely high, medium, and low. In addition, a mood analysis was conducted using Ekman\u27s Basic Emotion classification. Data collection techniques are questionnaires and documentation. The questionnaire contains open questions about students\u27 opinions on mathematics and closed to queries for student demographics. Documentation is done by collecting test scores from student grade books. This study used a descriptive method with data in the form of 72 comments from grade XI high school students in Bandung City, which were analyzed using the Orange Application Sentiment Analysis. The results of the study showed that (1) student sentiment was generally dominated by positive sentiment at 72.22%, (2) positive sentiment also dominated the groups of students with high, medium, and low learning outcomes, with a percentage of more than 68%, and (3) the results of the classification of emotions based on Ekman\u27s Basic Emotion indicated that "joy" was the most dominant emotion, while "anger" had the lowest frequency of occurrence. This study provides new insights regarding students\u27 emotional aspects in mathematics learning, which can be used to improve teaching strategies
Developing problem-based learning worksheet of relations and functions topic to support students’ conceptual understanding
This research is qualitative research with design research methods and a development research type aiming to produce valid and practical worksheets on relational and functional materials based on problem-based learning (PBL) to support students\u27 conceptual understanding. The learning process is carried out in the classroom with learning activities, accompanied by a student\u27s worksheet, which consists of 2 questions. The subjects of this study were students of class VIII 10 of SMP Negeri 8 Palembang, with 6 students as the focus of the research. There are 2 stages in this research, namely: (1) preliminary stage and (2) prototyping stage (formative evaluation), which is divided into 5 stages, namely (1) self-evaluation, (2) expert review, (3) one to one, (4) small group and (5) field test. This research was conducted based on the learning system in schools with data collection techniques, namely walkthroughs, tests, interviews, and questionnaires, to be collected and analyzed qualitatively to see the validity and practicality of the worksheet. The results of this study will show that the worksheet that has been made is valid, as seen from the results of the expert review and practical validation sheets obtained from the questionnaire results, with an average of 84.03%, which is included in the valid and practical categories. The developed worksheet also supports understanding PBL-based concepts (Problem-Based Learning) in solving problems given in relation and function material, which can be seen from the overall student test results
Statistics education research integrated with Islamic studies (A study of validity and practicality of textbook development)
This research is based on the need for a textbook of educational research statistics that is suitable for use, while its availability has not been met. Therefore, this research is a development study with ADDIE design (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation), which aims to develop and produce an Islamic integrated educational research statistics textbook that meets valid and practical criteria. The data in this study were collected using questionnaire techniques and validity and practicality questionnaire instruments. Development is first carried out before these two instruments are used to ensure their feasibility. The data that has been obtained is analyzed using the Aiken index formula related to the calculation of validity and percentage related to practicality. The results of this study can be summarized in two conclusions. First, the Islamic integrated educational research statistics textbook is at the "very valid" validity level. The Aiken index score is 0.9215. Second, the Islamic integrated educational research statistics textbook based on mathematical communication skills is at the "practical" level of practicality. The numerical validity value is 77.66%. The implication of the results of this study is the production of a textbook that is suitable for use and tested for its effectiveness in learning educational research statistics
Pelatihan pengembangan media pembelajaran bangun datar berbasis flipaclip bagi guru matematika SMP
Berdasarkan observasi diketahui bahwa masih terdapat guru matematika yang kesulitan dalam menggunakan dan mengembangkan media pembelajaran, khususnya di Kabupaten Pringsewu, Lampung. Jadi, tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan guru matematika di Kabupaten Pringsewu terkait dengan pembuatan media pembelajaran matematika berbasis IT dengan menggunakan FlipaClip. Metode yang digunakan adalah pelatihan dengan 40% teori dan 60% praktik. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dengan tahapan melakukan tes awal, melaksanakan pelatihan, dan melaksanakan tes akhir. Peserta kegiatan ini sebanyak 20 orang yang merupakan guru matematika SMP di Kabupaten Pringsewu. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes dan observasi. Selanjutnya teknik analisis data secara deskriptif dan menggunakan N-Gain. Hasil yang diperoleh yaitu terjadi peningkatan pemahaman guru tentang media pembelajaran, bangun datar dan FlipaClip yang ditunjukkan dari hasil N-Gain di mana 45% peserta mengalami peningkatan sedang dan 55% mengalami peningkatan tinggi. Selain itu, Guru sudah mulai memiliki keterampilan dalam membuat media pembelajaran menggunakan FlipaClip yang ditunjukkan oleh praktik yang dilakukan guru serta produk akhir yang dihasilkan oleh para guru Matematika SMP di Kabupaten Pringsewu. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa guru telah mengalami peningkatan pemahaman dan memiliki keterampilan dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis FlipaClip
Meningkatkan potensi kreatif dan motorik halus anak usia dini dengan kolase bahan alam
Komponen utama dari pendidikan anak usia dini adalah pengembangan kreativitas dan keterampilan motorik halus, karena sifat-sifat ini memengaruhi kapasitas kognitif dan sosial pada masa depan. Melalui kegiatan kolase, program pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan motorik halus dan kreativitas anak-anak di TK Permata Ibu dan RA Mutiara Hati. Kegiatan kolase dipilih karena memungkinkan eksplorasi bahan alam yang merangsang imajinasi dan keterampilan motorik halus. Peserta dalam pengabdian ini adalah 57 peserta didik berusia 4-6 tahun. Teknik pengumpulan data mencakup observasi yang dinilai berdasarkan ketepatan, koordinasi tangan-mata, dan kreativitas dalam menata bahan kolase dan analisis hasil kerapian dalam penempelan bahan alam pada kolase. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif untuk mengevaluasi peningkatan keterampilan motorik halus dan kreativitas anak. Anak-anak dapat mengembangkan keterampilan koordinasi tangan-mata, ketepatan dalam menempel bahan, dan kreativitas saat menata kolase. Hasil ini menegaskan bahwa kegiatan kolase dapat menjadi metode pembelajaran efektif untuk pengembangan kreativitas dan motorik halus anak usia dini. Kegiatan ini juga menunjukkan potensi untuk diperluas dengan melibatkan variasi bahan alam yang lebih beragam
Struktur Komunitas Gastropoda di Vegetasi Mangrove Desa Sungai Nibung, Kabupaten Tulang Bawang
Mangrove salah vegetasi yang hidup di sepanjang muara sungai dimana kondisi kesehatan ekosistem ini sangat mempengaruhi kelimpahan dan keragaman biota asosiasi, seperti makrozoobentos. Salah satu dari biota makrozoobentos tersebut adalah gastropoda. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis keanekaragaman dan kelimpahan gastropoda di vegetasi mangrove Desa Sungai Nibung, Kabupaten Tulang Bawang. Penelitian ini dilakukan dari bulan Juli-Agustus 2023 di Desa Sungai Nibung, Kabupaten Tulang Bawang, Lampung. Pengambilan data kerapatan mangrove dilakukan sebanyak tiga kali ulangan pada tiap stasiun ukuran 10 x 10 m2 sedangkan kelimpahan gastropoda 1 x 1 m2. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan gastropoda ditemukan sebanyak 560 individu yang terdiri dari 11 spesies, dan 7 famili dengan pola distribusi seragam, acak dan berkelompok dengan vegetasi mangrove cukup rapat. Kelas Ukuran dan Hubungan Panjang Berat Ikan Seluang Pipih (Oxygaster anomalura Van Hesselt, 1823) di Desa Aek Kanan Kabupaten Padang Lawas Utara
Penelitian terkait aspek biologi pada ikan penting dilakukan, mengingat belum adanya data Oxygaster anomalura dari wilayah perairan Desa Aek Kanan. Data dan informasi aspek biologi ikan berguna di dalam upaya pengelolaan sumber ikan Oxygaster anomalura secara lestari. Penelitian bertujuan memperoleh data kelas ukuran dan hubungan panjang berat Oxygaster anomalura di Desa Aek Kanan, Kabupaten Padang Lawas Utara. Penelitian menggunakan metode purposive sampling dengan penentuan stasiun pengamatan berdasarkan perbedaan karakteristik habitat. Sampel ditangkap pada bulan Juni, Juli, dan Agustus 2024. Ikan yang tertangkap kemudian diukur panjang total dan berat. Data hasil penelitian di sajian dalam bentuk tabel dan grafik dengan menggunakan aplikasi Microsoft Excel 2010. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini diperoleh 7 ukuran kelas dengan komposisi yang mendominasi kelas ukuran 115-127 mm sebanyak 20 individu dan paling sedikit diperoleh kelas ukuran 154-166 mm (2 ekor).
