Underestimating Dengue: A Qualitative Study of Risk Perception in Dhaka, Bangladesh
Dengue, a mosquito-borne viral infection, is endemic in Bangladesh. This qualitative case study, drawing on interviews and focus groups, examines a low SES ward, seeking to deepen the exploration of community perceptions of dengue risk and its embeddedness with the socioeconomic and political context in Dhaka. The analysis identifies six overarching themes connected with the underestimation of dengue risk. The underestimation of risk becomes apparent in a reduced concern for dengue and dengue vector control, even despite a notable recent epidemic in 2000 and the ongoing circulation of dengue virus in the population
Qualitative Study of Consumer Preferences on Local TV Station
The research aimed to explore consumer preferences at Jogja TV stations as local TV station. The study uses qualitative methods through interviews in collecting data. Informants in this study are the public as viewers or consumers of Jogja TV and managers of Jogja TV programs. The data analysis technique used is a descriptive interactive model. Based on qualitative analysis it can be concluded that the Jogja TV program is aimed at the people of Special Region of Yogyakarta and surrounding areas including Solo. Viewers are focused on the status of SES C and D. Programs that are the pre-eminent preference of Jogja TV compared to other stations are programs that contain local and cultural content. Jogja TV programs that are the main preference of individual viewers are cultural and information/news programs. Other preferences are caused by regional or local appeal. Local or regional content is an attraction for several viewers. Some constraints related to the preferences of the informants are the problem of image quality, program variation, range and duration of the broadcast.Based on consumer opinion, the election organization on Jogja TV is due to the match between the number of shows, airtime, flexibility, and affordable costs. Based on the perspective of organizational consumers, the selection of Jogja TV has several disadvantages such as the coverage area and the less proactive attitude of Jogja TV
Fuzzy System and Game Theory for Green Supply Chain
In this paper, an optimization model using fuzzy game theory for three players is developed, which is affected by customer demands in a green supply chain. The proposed model includes a practical solution to increase the confidence level of players to choose plausible green strategy. Initially, the strategies are formulated using the game theory as manufacturer, costumer and government, to be able to optimize the pay-off uncertainty conditions of demands, by combining computational fuzzy set with ability of sensitive analysis of related fuzzy parameters to enhance the calculations and problem solving, with presenting Nash equilibrium the problem solving part
Application of Multi Objective Genetic Algorithm for Optimization of Core Configuration Design of a Fast Breeder Reactor
The optimization problem of nuclear fuel management, reported in the present study aimed at arriving at the optimal number of subassemblies in the two fuel enrichment zones of the core of a 500 MWe Fast Breeder Reactor. The elitist multi-objective approach of Genetic Algorithm, namely Non-dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm-II (NSGA-II), was employed in the study. The five parameters considered for optimization are: core excess reactivity, liner heat ratings of inner and outer fuel enrichment zones of the core, fissile material inventory, and breeding ratio. The results obtained from the study indicate that the algorithm is able to produce feasible solutions in an efficient manner while preserving the diversity amongst them. The fast convergence and the diversity-preserving feature of the algorithm are described. The major objective of the work is to study the viability of applying the NSGA-II into the nuclear fuel management problems of fast breeder reactors
Modulation Signal Chain for a 5G PDSCH Reciever
LTE (Long Term Evolution), marketed as 5G LTE, is a standard for wireless communication of high-speed data for mobile phones and data terminals. It increases the system capacity and speed. The standard is developed by the 3GPP (3rd Generation Partnership Project). The scrambling and modulation was implemented using hardware and software methods. The using of scrambling and modulation mapping with help of constellation method is used. Constellation method is easily differentiating the real and imaginary terms of the modulation mapping. Depending on the hardware structure, particular scrambling and modulation mapping was designed using Verilog RTL coding. Simulation and synthesis was carried out using Xilinx Vivado 2015.4.2 design and implemented on Artix-7 FPGA board. Clock cycle delay is reduced to two clock cycle

Statistical Maintenance Time Estimation Based on Stochastic Differential Equation Models in OSS Development Project
At present, the method of earned value management is often applied to the actual software projects in various IT companies. Also, open source software (OSS) are used under the various situations, because the OSS are useful for many users to make a cost reduction, standardization of systems, and quick delivery. Many OSS are developed under the peculiar development style known as bazaar method. According to the bazaar method, many faults are detected and fixed by developers around the world, and the fixed result will be reflected in the next release. In this paper, we discuss an OSS effort estimation model by using a conventional stochastic differential equation model. Moreover, we propose an optimal maintenance problem based on the proposed effort estimation model. Then, we discuss the optimal maintenance problem minimizing the maintenance effort and satisfying the earned value requirement, simultaneously. In addition, we also propose a method of judging whether the optimal maintenance time is an appropriate time from the viewpoint of the transition probability distribution of the cumulative number of maintenance effort, because proper management of maintenance effort affects software quality. Energetics of Compound Formation in Binary Sb-Sn Liquid Alloys
Energetic of mixing and symmetry at equiatomic composition in liquid Sb-Sn alloys has been investigated using complex formation model. Assuming the order energy parameters w, l12, l13, l23 are temperature dependent, information on Gibbs free energy of mixing at temperature of 905 K and other thermodynamic properties of liquid Sb-Sn alloys was discussed. Gibbs free energy of mixing was modelled using the assumed order energy parameters. Negative deviations from Raoult’s law observed and reported. Our detail examination of the Sb-Sn system suggests that the liquid alloy exhibits compound formation over the whole concentration range, and symmetry in equiatomic composition was observed, though the tendency of the compound formation in the alloy has been found to be weak.
 
Modelling Photovoltaic Panels (Tandem) In Matlab-Simulink
At the stage of development of solar photovoltaic; the direct conversion of energy carried by the solar radiation into electricity, but before consuming, it took to produce using solar panels. Modeling of solar cells is based on their electrical characteristics (relationship voltage / current) under various conditions of radiation and temperature obtained by the equivalent circuit model, we consider associations with cells semiconductors respectful individuals such as: if, AlGaAs, Tandem, we integrate this model with Matlab simulink. The aim of this work is modeled solar panels; Tandem (coupled AlGaAs / Si). This modeling is an essential step to evaluate the characteristics of photovoltaic solar panels
Preparation of Ferromagnetic Co3O4 Nanoparticles by Wet Chemical Synthesis Method
Cobalt oxide nanoparticles (Co3O4) were synthesized by wet chemical method using cobalt sulfate as precursor and ethylene glycol as surfactant. Their physico-chemical properties were characterized by high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and vibration sampling magnetometer (VSM) analyses. The crystal structure of samples after annealing was done by XRD analysis. XRD measurement exhibited the structure of Co3O4 nanocrystals for annealed samples. The TEM results showed the cobalt oxide nanoparticles with good uniformity. The SEM images revealed that the size of nanoparicles increased in the range of 20-50 nm with increasing annealing temperature. The magnetic results indicated a good coercive field and saturation magnetism around 452 G and 18 emu/g, respectively.
