Discussion of Service Learning as Pre-Education of Social Work Practicum

An overview of the trends in Certified Social Worker, to organize the discussion is between the social work education and social worker education. It refers to reference standards indicated by the Science Council of Japan and the global definition of social work,and to understand the reality of post-enforcement new social worker education curriculum since 2009, "Welfare Mind" of the origin of the social work education is important.

Evaluation Using Rubrics in American Higher Education
Get PDF40020865506ルーブリックをもちいた評価の好事例について，留学など教育目標が抽象的に設定されやすい領域，学習成果の評価が教育改善に結びついている事例などを対象に，アメリカへの訪問調査を実施した。本稿では大学３件と機関研究の支援組織２件について論じた。ルーブリックの利用は大学内部の評価をより妥当なものとするが，大学コンソーシアムにおけるルーブリックの利用は，個別大学をこえて評価の信頼性を確保するとともに，大学の多様性にも対応していた。留学の評価について，留学から期待される成果を学生にあらかじめ考えさせ，帰国後に省察的学習をうながすことは多くの大学で行われていたが，留学の成果を帰国後の学習にいかに結びつけるかを，留学にさきだって学生に計画させている大学もあった。ルーブリックを活用した評価は，学生調査の実施やデータ分析をしばしばともなう。アメリカにはそれらを支援する組織があり，機関研究の水準を高めていた。To explore the good practices of evaluation utilizing rubrics in higher education, a site visit to the United States was carried out. Examples were chosen mainly from the domain where educational goals were often set abstractly, such as study abroad, and/or the institutions that the outcomes assessment were tied to the educational improvement, in the wider framework of institutional research. Cases of student writing in Carleton College, study abroad in small Wabash College, study abroad in large-scale University of Georgia, and two support organizations of institutional research were discussed. The assessment in the universities became more appropriate by using rubrics. In addition, using rubrics in the university consortium enhanced the reliability of assessment across the individual university, and also accepted the diversity of universities. As for the outcomes assessment of study abroad, in many universities, a student must report prospective results before starting abroad and actual outcomes after returning home. However, in a university, a student should plan how to tie the outcomes of studying abroad to his/her leaning after returning home. Evaluation utilizing rubrics often accompanies by the student survey and the data analysis. The Possibility for the Use of Smart Devices while Learning Outside the Classroom
Get PDF40020784071In recent years, the use of the Internet through the smart device that is the representation of smartphones is rapidly increasing. On the other hand, in the ICT environment of the university, place and time for the use are still largely constrained, which is a problem for its easily-used spread. In this study, we examined the possibility for the use of smart devices while learning outside the classroom in order to complement the ICT environment offered by the university. As a result, the following two points have been showed. ① The main time zone and the place used by the majority of the students are suitable for the learning outside the classroom. ② It is clear that it is without reference to the anxiety about the use of the Internet that the students have a positive attitude to use actively smartphone while learning. Based on the above, it is suggested that the possibility of the learning environment through the smartphone can be availably utilized to the learning outside the classroom, including the "flipped classroom".近年、スマートフォンに代表されるスマートデバイスによるインターネットの利用は、急激に増えている。一方で、大学のICT環境では、場所や時間的制約は依然大きく、利用しやすさの面で課題がある。そこで、本研究では、大学が提供するICT環境を補完すべくスマートデバイスを活用した授業外学習の可能性について検討した。その結果、以下の2点が分かった。①大多数の学生の主な利用時間帯と場所は、授業外学習をするのに適している。②インターネットの利用に対する不安の程度に関係なく、スマホの学習活動への有効活用に関しては積極的に捉えている。これにより、スマホによる学習環境は「反転授業」も含めた授業外学習へ活用できる可能性が示唆された。departmental bulletin pape

The Image of domestic help during the 1950s as seen in Shigeko Yuki's novel Jyochukko
Get PDF40020784023This paper examines the image of domestic help in an urban middle class household as seen in Jochukko (1954), a short novel by Shigeko Yuki, the first postwar winner of the Akutagawa Prize. The novel’s protagonist Hatsu is a young woman with meager opportunities who came to Tokyo from an isolated village in Yamagata. The story unfolds along the axis of the relationship between Hatsu, employed as domestic help in a household of hardheaded people with little interest in others, and Katsumi, the nine-year-old second son shunned by the family.
Conspicuous in this work is the attitude of the employers, who demand a master-servant relation-ship with domestic help under their command. This is apparent not just among the adults but among the children as well. The mid-1950s in Japan was a time in which improving the working conditions of domestic help attracted the attention of society amid a shortage of domestic help. The ardent desireof domestic help was for their occupation to be recognized as a profession. Seen from a different angl one could say that under the generally accepted view of their status at the time, domestic help were treated as being a step lower in social standing.本稿は、戦後初の芥川賞を受賞した作家，由起しげ子の短篇小説『女中ッ子』（1954年）を資料として，都市中間層の家庭における女中像について考察したものである。主人公は，わずかな機縁を頼りに山形の寒村から上京してきた少女・初。物語は，他人に対して無関心で，要領よく生活する人間の集まりである家庭に女中として雇われた初と，家族から疎んじられる9歳の次男坊・勝見との触れあいを軸にして展開する。
この作品で顕著なのは，女中を配下に置き，主従関係を求める雇主側の意識である。それは大人のみならず子どもにも見られる。1950年代半ばの日本は，女中不足を背景に，女中の待遇改善が社会の関心を集めた時代である。女中をひとつの職業として認めてほしいというのが，女中たちの切なる願いであった。裏返せば，女中を一段見下げたものとして扱うのが，当時の一般的な女中観だったといえよう。departmental bulletin pape
