An Analysis of the Authorized Textbooks for “Logic and Expression”: Focusing on Genre Analysis Using the Systemic Functional Linguistic Approach
本研究は,高校英語教育における検定教科書のジャンル分析研究という基礎的研究の位置づけをなす。本稿は,シュレッペグレルの選択体系機能言語学(SFL)のアプローチを用いて,高校外国語科「論理・表現」の検定教科書のジャンルの種類と出現頻度の割合を明らかにすることを目的とする。本研究における分析対象は,「論理・表現Ⅰ」(9冊),「論理・表現Ⅱ」(9冊),「論理・表現Ⅲ」(9冊)の検定教科書(27冊)にある日本語および英語で書かれたテクストデータである。分析結果をふまえ,高校ライティング教育と大学ライティング教育との関わりについて検証を行い,高大接続の観点から見た場合,外国語科目「論理・表現」がどのような科目であるかを考察する。結果として,シュレッペグレルの7つのジャンルのうち,大学ライティング教育でよく扱われる「論証(Exposition)」のジャンルに関しては,高校外国語科目「論理・表現」教科書全体における扱い少ないことから,高校生の論証につながる意識が醸成されにくいことが示唆された。This study is a basic research on genre analysis of certified textbooks in high school English education. This paper aims to clarify the types and frequency of genres in the certified textbooks for the high school foreign language “Logic and Expression” using Schleppegrell's Systemic Functional Linguistics (SFL) approach. The analysis targets the text data in Japanese and English from the certified textbooks “Logic and Expression I” (9 books), “Logic and Expression II” (9 books), and “Logic and Expression III” (9 books), a total of 27 books. Based on the results, the relationship between high school writing education and university writing education is examined, and the nature of the foreign language subject “Logic and Expression” is discussed from the perspective of the high school-university connection. As a result, it was suggested that among Schleppegrell's seven genres, the genre of “exposition,” which is often dealt with in university writing education, is less addressed in high school foreign language “Logic and Expression” textbooks as a whole, indicating that it is difficult to cultivate high school students' awareness leading to exposition.departmental bulletin pape
The Role of Principals in Curriculum Management: An Analysis of Teacher Organization Building Based on a Questionnaire Web Survey of School Administrators in 2022
本論文の目的は,公立小・中学校校長を対象にしたWeb調査結果にもとづき,令和の教育改革で求められている,教師を相互に尊重する組織づくりや,教師の心理的安全性を確保した組織づくりを,積極的に行えている校長の考え方と学校運営の特徴を捉え,校長によるカリキュラム・マネジメントに関わる取り組みについて考察することである。
その結果,以下のことが明らかになった。第一に,それらの組織づくりをすることが,自身の理想とする学校像の実現に寄与することが明らかになった。第二に,校長のカリキュラム・マネジメントについては次のことがわかった。教師を相互に尊重する組織づくりを積極的に行っている校長は,その取り組みを,国家が決めた目標を達成することを目的に,所定のルールに則って確実にカリキュラム・マネジメントを行っていくためのツールにしている傾向がある。それに対し,教師の心理的安全性を確保できる組織づくりをしている校長は,彼らが学校に誇りを持てたり,新しいことに挑戦できたりするようなことを積極的に行っている。この組織づくりをベースにして,自律的なカリキュラム・マネジメントに関わる取り組みを行っている。In order to meet the requirements of Japan's Reiwa educational reforms, this study aims to investigate the attitudes and traits of principals who are actively involved in creating organizations that promote respect among teachers or that establish psychologically secure conditions for teachers. This study is to investigate the curriculum management activities of public elementary and junior high school principals based on the findings of an online survey that was administered to them.
The following was made evident by this investigation. First, it was discovered that creating these kinds of organizations helps to achieve the school image that principals have in mind. Second, the following information about curricular management by principals was discovered. In order to accomplish the objectives established by the country, principals who actively create organizations that promote respect among teachers often utilize these initiatives as a tool to make sure that curriculum management is done in compliance with the guidelines. Conversely, principals who create organizations that guarantee teachers' psychological safety are actively involved in initiatives that enable educators to feel proud of their school and take on new tasks. Aspects of Students' Perceptions in Early Experiential Training
早期体験実習における学生の気づきの内容を実習後レポートより分析した。机上の事前学内実習を反映した【環境を整えることの重要性】や【看護師としての視点や能力が相当必要であると自覚したこと】の具体的場面から【医療安全対策が重要であること】や【連携・協働・情報共有・対話が現場では欠かせないこと】の気づきを得ていた。事前学内実習に留まらず学生は,連携や協働を行う上で【看護管理機能がよりよい看護に繋がること】に気づき看護サービスの質に関わっていることを捉えていた。また患者と看護師のやり取りの見学や看護師から直接,行動の意図を教示されることで【「看護」が考えていたことよりも奥が深くまた幅が広いということ】【倫理的視点ということの意味を知るということ】を考える機会となっており自己課題を認識し【看護師への志望が早期体験実習によってより強く変化したこと】に繋がっていた。
記述したレポートの内容分析から良い気づきがあってもその場では言語化出来ない学生,また時間をかけてレポートを記述しながら思考を深めることができる学生,良い気づきがあることを自覚していない学生等,さまざまなレディネスに応じて各々学生の気づきを丁寧に意味づけ、解釈を支援し,自ら気づく反応を引き出すことが教員としての役割だと考える。The contents of students' realizations in the early experience training were analyzed from their post-training reports. The students' perceptions of the importance of medical safety measures and the necessity of cooperation, collaboration, information sharing, and dialogue in the field were gained from specific situations that reflected the content of the pre-service training on the desk, such as “the importance of preparing the environment” and “the realization that the viewpoint and abilities as a nurse are quite necessary. Not only in the preliminary on-campus training, the students realized that “nursing management functions lead to better nursing care” and that they are involved in the quality of nursing services when they conduct collaboration and cooperation. In addition, by observing the interactions between patients and nurses and learning directly from the nurses about their intentions, the students had the opportunity to consider that “nursing” is deeper and broader than what they had thought, and to understand the meaning of an ethical perspective. The students recognized their own issues and their aspirations to become nurses changed even more strongly as a result of the early experience training.
The content analysis of the written reports revealed that some students were unable to verbalize their good insights on the spot, while others were able to deepen their thinking while taking time to write their reports, and others were unaware that they had good insights. As a teacher, I believe it is my role to carefully make sense of each student's awareness, support their interpretations, and elicit their reactions to become aware of their own awareness.departmental bulletin pape
Critical Perspectives on Collaboration between Japanese and English in English Language Teaching: Insights from Literature Reviews on L1 and L2 Relationships
本研究の目的は,母語習得,第二言語習得の視座から,母語(L1)である日本語と第二言語(L2)である英語の関係について議論し,英語科教育において「日本語と英語の連携」に必要な視点を明らかにすることである。現行学習指導要領と同解説において,国語科を中心として,外国語科(英語科)などの他教科との連携を図るように工夫を行う旨の記述がなされた。これは,国語である日本語(国語科教育)と外国語である英語(英語科教育)の連携を示唆するものである。教育実践において,一部の研究先進校では,国語科と外国語科(英語科)の教科間における共通の指導方法や指導内容の連携が行われてきた。しかしながら,英語科教育研究においては,英語を日本語と連携させて学ぶために必要な視点について明らかにされてこなかった。そのため,本研究では,母語習得,第二言語習得における海外の先行研究の知見を援用し,母語と第二言語の関係の視座から,英語科教育において,英語を母語である日本語と連携させながら学ぶ際に,「日本語と英語の連携」に必要な視点とは何かを明らかにすることを目的とする。The purpose of this study is to discuss the relationship between Japanese as a first language (L1) and English as a second language (L2), based on the major previous studies, that discussed the relationship between L1 and L2 from the perspectives of L1 acquisition and L2 acquisition, and to clarify the perspectives necessary for the “collaboration between Japanese and English” in English language education. The current Courses of Study and their commentaries state that efforts should be made to coordinate Japanese language teaching with other subjects, such as foreign language teaching, particularly English. This suggests a link between Japanese as a national language (Japanese language education) and English as a foreign language (English language education). In some schools with advanced research, educational practices were conducted to link common teaching methods and content between the subjects of Japanese and foreign languages (English). However, from the perspective of L1 acquisition and L2 acquisition, almost no previous studies in Japan have organized and discussed the theoretical background of the “collaboration between Japanese and English” in English language education. Therefore, this study focuses on the relationship between Japanese as L1 and English as L2 to examine the theoretical background of the “collaboration between Japanese and English” and to discuss the necessary viewpoints for this collaboration in English language education while taking into account major previous overseas studies on mother tongue acquisition and second language acquisition. Regional University Promotion and University Mergers in South Korea: Focusing on the Glocal University 30 Project in 2023
日本の先行事例として,少子化が深刻な韓国の高等教育政策に注目した。まず高等教育史を概観して,主要な政策課題を質と量の均衡,首都圏と他地域の均衡に整理し,構造改革・規模縮小にいたる経緯を述べた。ついで2022年以降の尹政権の高等教育政策から,地域革新中心大学支援体系(RISE),留学生誘致30万人政策,グローカル大学30政策を説明し,2023年にグローカル大学として選定された10事例の概要を述べて目的(競争力の主体)により分類した。自治体は,これに選定された大学が地域の発展に貢献することを期待し,RISEの施策により地域に必要な人材育成と進学機会の均等などをはかるのではないか。The subject of this study is South Korea's higher education policy in the context of a declining birthrate, which will serve as a precedent for Japan. First, we provide an overview of the history of higher education in South Korea, pointing out that the main issues are balancing quality and quantity, and balancing the metropolitan area and other regions. Furthermore, the process that led to the downsizing of higher education is described. Next, we explain the three main higher education policies of the current Yoon administration after 2022. In particular, with regard to the Glocal University 30 policy, an overview and characteristics of the ten universities selected for 2023 are described. The major findings are as follows:
1. The trend of the 18-year-old population can be predicted at the time of birth of that generation. The best higher education policy for Korea would be to halve the expansion in the 1990s and avoid the major contraction after 2000.
2. The Regional Innovation System & Education (RISE) is a policy that transfers significant administrative and financial authority from the central government to local governments. In South Korea, the number of local private universities going bankrupt is expected to increase between 2025 and 2030. The RISE will reduce the responsibility of the president and the central government for this situation.
3. The distinctive feature of the Study Korea 300k Project to attract 300,000 international students is its linkage with regional development. A comprehensive policy will be developed that includes the invitation of those who wish to study in South Korea, the choice of language of instruction, employment during their studies, and settlement after graduation. However, attracting international students is an area in which many countries compete, and we look forward to future result.
4. The Glocal University 30 initiative is a policy to foster a small number of competitive universities outside the metropolitan area.
5. South Korea's policy of downsizing universities in the 2000s was based on university evaluations, but under the Yoon administration this has shifted to a combination of focused investment in competitive universities and local government policy decisions based on RISE. Local governments will achieve the economic growth through the contributions of the Glocal 30 universities and will use RISE to develop the human resources their regions need and ensure equal opportunities for higher education.departmental bulletin pape
Research on Human Resource Development in Performing Arts Education from the Perspectives of the Concepts of 'Identity of Mastery' and 'Hidden Curriculum': A Prologue to a New Educational Anthropological Study of Performing Arts Education
本論文は、教育人類学の視点から芸能教育研究を捉え直して、さらに発展させる試みである。教育人類学とは、人類の教育現象(人の教授・学習行為、通過儀礼や育児慣行、文化の伝達・獲得過程、文化的同化、社会化などを含む)を幅広く研究する専門分野であり、教育について数多くの貴重な研究を蓄積してきた。しかし、これまで様々な芸能教育研究が行われてきたが、教育過程の分析に有益な視点を大いにもたらしうるはずの教育人類学的研究は、意外と存在しないのが現状である。本論文では、そのような状況に対する反省から、「熟練のアイデンティティ(Identity of Mastery)」と「隠れたカリキュラム(Hidden Curriculum)」という教育人類学の2つの重要概念を手がかりに、教育人類学的な芸能教育研究の可能性を検討したい。ここでは、筆者がこれまで十数年に渡り調査研究を続けてきた中国西北地域の伝統演劇・秦腔の俳優教育の事例を主に用いる。本論文の知見は、芸能教育研究のさらなる発展に少なからず貢献できるだろう。This paper aims to advance the research on human resource development in performing arts education by incorporating two key concepts from educational anthropology: "identity of mastery" and "hidden curriculum." Traditional research in this field has primarily focused on the processes of teaching and learning skills and embodied knowledge, with insufficient attention given to the process of identity formation among learners. By applying these educational anthropological concepts, this study offers a new perspective on how learners, particularly in the context of actor education in Qin opera, a traditional Chinese theater, not only acquire professional skills but also develop a unique worldview, professional attitude, and self-awareness. While this research mainly centers on these two concepts, it suggests the potential to enrich performing arts education studies from an educational anthropological perspective, marking a significant step forward for future research in this area.departmental bulletin pape
Research on the production of LED illumination works using BLE communication: Kobe Municipal Sorakuen for the 'Niwa no Akari' event
本稿は、2024年7月28日,29日の2日間にわたり開催された,神戸市立相楽園での「にわのあかり」のイベントのために設計・制作した、BLE通信を利用したLEDイルミネーションの研究制作報告である。庭園内に設置された50個のLEDが、相楽園の「鹿威し」の動きに合わせて一斉に白色に変化する仕組みで、イベントでは概ね期待通りに機能し、来場者に楽しんでもらうこと出来た。今回は鹿威しの動きに子機が一斉に反応するだけの単純な仕組みであったが、今後はLED以外にもサウンドをはじめ様々なデバイスの制御、BLE/Wifi通信からの多種多様なメッセージにリアルタイムに応答するなど、より発展的な作品制作を目指したいと考えている。This paper is a report on the production and research of LED illumination using BLE communication, designed and produced for the 'Niwa no Akari' event at Sorakuen Garden in Kobe. The 50 LEDs placed in the garden change to white all at once and shine beautifully in accordance with the movement of the 'Shishi-odoshi' (deer scarer) in the Sorakuen Garden. During the two-day event on 28 and 29 July 2024, it generally worked as expected and was enjoyed by visitors. The specification for this event was for all the child units to move in unison in response to the movements of the deer stalker, but this is planned to be developed in the future. We would like to create an installation in which various devices other than LEDs behave in various ways, including BLE beacons and WIFI communication triggered by various triggers other than the deer stalks, as well as voice.departmental bulletin pape
Research on Children's Thoughts on Fair Play: Facilitating Factors and Inhibiting Factors
本研究の目的は,児童のフェアプレイ行動を促進・阻害する要因を明らかにし,要因の関係性を検討することであった。自由記述によって得られた全記述データを対象にテキストマイニングソフト・KHCoder(Ver.3. beta.01)による分析を試みた。その結果,促進要因については7個のサブグラフが得られた。また,阻害要因については,6個のサブグラフが得られた。促進要因はフェアプレイ精神とセルフコントロールに整理され,阻害要因は,セルフコントロールの喪失とセルフコントロールを乱す心理に整理された。以上のことから,フェアプレイ行動の指導においては,フェアプレイ精神とセルフコントロールを高めることが重要であろうことが示唆された。This study aimed to clarify the factors that promote and hinder fair play behavior in children and to clarify the relationships between these factors. All descriptive data obtained through free description was analyzed using text mining software KHCoder (Ver.3. beta.01). As a result, seven subgraphs were obtained for promotion factors. Six subgraphs were obtained for hindering factors. Promotion factors were classified into a fair play spirit and self-control, while hindering factors were classified into a loss of self-control and the psychology of disrupting self-control. These findings suggest that it is important to enhance fair play spirit and self-control when teaching fair play behavior.departmental bulletin pape
オーラルコミュニケーション 1 における Flipgrid の統合に関する記述的研究
この研究の目的は、オンラインビデオプラットフォームであるFlipgridを「オーラルコミュニケーション1」の授業に統合する方法を検討することであった。参加者は、2022年、2023年、2024年の春学期に在籍していた観光学科の1年生であった。研究の結果によれば、参加傾向が一貫して学生の関与の高さを示しており、非同期型の協働活動が学生の間で最も高い反応を示すことが明らかとなった。言語学習への学生の関与を向上させる目的でFlipgridを使用する際のガイドラインを提供するために、この研究において、Flipgridがシラバスにどのように組み込まれ、コースの補助活動としてどのように活用されたかという説明がなされることになると考えている。The purpose of this study was to examine the integration of Flipgrid, an online video platform, in Oral Communication 1. The participants consisted of first year tourism majors enrolled in the spring semesters of 2022, 2023, and 2024. Results indicated that participation trends show consistent student engagement, with asynchronous collaborative activities having the highest responses among students. The ways in which Flipgrid was incorporated in the syllabus and was utilized as a supplementary activity for the course will be explained to provide guidelines for using it to enhance student engagement in language learning.departmental bulletin pape
An Inspection Survey on the Educational Culture in the Country of Georgia: Based on the Narratives of University Faculties and University Students about Education in the Country of Georgia
本論文の目的は,発話データと観察データをもとにした当該社会の文化的ナラティヴ分析の手法を用いて,ジョージアの人々の市民性や国民性に対する学校教育の影響を考察することである。
その結果,次のことが明らかになった。ジョージアの教育文化の特徴として,以下の3点が捉えられた。1つ目は,制度面ではEUへの加盟を意識した調整が進められてきており,人々の意識においても同様の傾向が認められたこと,2つ目は,〈歓待の精神〉を人々が自分たちのナショナル・アイデンティティとして自認し,誇りを持ってそれが語られていること,3つ目は自国の歴史と文化へのリスペクトの高さである。
上記の2点目と3点目の市民性や国民性に関わることについては,学校カリキュラムの影響は大きいものの,それ以上に社会全体が抱える歴史や文化の影響を大きく受けていることが明らかになった。しかし,それは,歴史や文化単独の影響というよりは,学校カリキュラムを通してのフォーマルな学びと,日常的なインフォーマルな学びの,輻輳的学修の成果と言うべきものであった。The purpose of this paper is to examine the influence of the school education on the citizenship and national identity of the Georgian people, using the method of cultural narrative analysis of the society based on spoken and observational data.
Then, the obtained results are as follows; (1) While adjustment to EU accession has been made in the institutional aspects, the same tendency was observed in people's consciousness. (2) They recognized the “spirit of hospitality” as their national identity and spoke of it with pride. (3) They showed a high level of respect for their country’s history and culture.
It has become clear that while the above-mentioned citizenship and national identity were greatly influenced by the school curriculum, they are even more influenced by the history and culture of the society as a whole. This was not the result of the influence of the history and culture alone, but rather the result of the convergent learning, which is a combination of formal learning through the school curriculum and informal learning on a daily basis.departmental bulletin pape
