Survey on Recognition of Tools Used in Elementary School Arts and Crafts : Comparison with the Perception of Elementary School Teachers and Children
In this research, elementary school teachers and children' perceptions of the tools used in the arts and crafts described in the elementary school learning guideline commentary arts and crafts were investigated.
Last year, I conducted an awareness survey of belonging to the teacher training course and confirmed that there are tools that cannot answer the name or answer that they have no experience of using it.
From the teacher's survey, it was confirmed that most of the tools answered the correct name and had experience in using them. It became clear that children, like last year's students, answered that they did not know the name or had some equipment that they had never used. It was also found that the response tendency of children is the same as that of last year's students.
Considering that the recognition of the equipment shown by the children continues until they study the specialized course of the university, it is important at what stage they have the same recognition as the teacher to smoothly study arts and crafts. It became clear that it is necessary to clarify what kind of measures should be taken in specialized courses of teacher training courses at universities, new training, teacher training, etc. to raise awareness of tools used in arts and crafts.departmental bulletin pape

40022531639I arranged the summary and history, problems of the representative technique of Life-Cycle-Assessment which was the framework to perform an environmental assessment of industrial products, process. In the standard pile-up method, problems include technical border, circulation, and multi-production. In the Input-Output table, problems include regional border, 1 commodity corresponding to 1 value, and multi-production. I showed the issues to develop the integrated LCA model.
Reflection to Connect Experiences and Social Issues : Focusing on Student Narratives in "Contextualizing Self in Society"
This report examines the effects of the class " Contextualizing Self in Society " on the students who took it. Theirs narratives are being exploratively reviewed to examine ways to make experiential learning more effective. As a result of the practice, we found three key elements: connection to and structuring of the experience, content to be experienced in experiential learning as a subject for reflection, and a means for student’s narratives.departmental bulletin pape
A School Management Based on the Findings of Special Needs Education(10)Consider the Current Situation of Schools and Nurseries under the Influence of the New Coronavirus Infection
I heard from principals about the impact of the new coronavirus on educational activities in schools when I went to schools on the job training and in-service training after the reopening of schools.
I would like to write as of January 2021 about what I heard from teachers and what I felt firsthand about the various effects of the new coronavirus on teachers and children in schools under conditions that were unimaginable last year.
First, I thought about the impact of the new coronavirus on schools in two ways: the impact of the long holidays and the impact after schools reopen.
What was the impact of the unexpected spring break, which was lengthened by the government's request for temporary closure of schools nationwide last year, on children and parents, and on schools?
Next, although the school was reopened, I considered what kind of educational activities would be affected in the current situation where teachers and children were wearing masks and conducted activities with social distance.
Finally, I proposed specific measures to deal with these impacts.
Even under these circumstances, schools have a responsibility to contribute to the growth of children, and they continue to make efforts every day. I will continue to make efforts to improve the competence of teachers so that they can calmly accept the impact of the unexpected new coronavirus and respond flexibly to the crisis.departmental bulletin pape
The Future of Recurrent Education in Japan : A Case Study of Competency-Based Education in Texas
A case study of the Texas Affordable Baccalaureate Program was conducted as an example of competency-based education (CBE) in the United States. The organizational leadership course, which is a part of the Program, is a new combination of the manpower demand for middle management with a bachelor's degree in the local areas and the educational demand for college dropouts and associate degree holders aiming for a bachelor's degree and promotion and more income. Many of these adult students have some ability of organizational leadership at the time of admission, and the period and cost of education could be reduced by prior learning assessment and acceleration of learning by CBE. Its features are extraction of learning outcomes (competencies), curriculum with one semester of seven weeks, design of distance learning subjects, learning support by instructors (coaches) and learning management system, online evaluation of learning outcomes, low tuition fees, and so on. The content and development process of the CBE is worthy of reference for Japan. For example, since there are few university dropouts in Japan, the prior learning assessment may generate more educational demand. Online evaluation of learning outcomes could also be useful for higher education in Japan with COVID-19.departmental bulletin pape
A Study of the Ability to Cut Out Shapes with Scissors in Early Childhood(2)From a Comparison with Tracing
The focus of this study was the skill of using scissors in early childhood, with the goal of understanding the ability of children to use scissors to cut lines and shapes.
We attempted tried to further clarify the relationship by cutting out the shape and tracing the shape. As a result, it was confirmed that deviation of all tasks decreased with increasing age in both the task of cutting out lines and shapes and the task of scribing lines and shapes. There was also a difference in the results for each task when the age was lower, but there was no significant difference for any task after the age of 5 years and 6 months. It can be concluded that cutting out a shape with scissors and tracing a shape have the same tendency to improve with age.
Furthermore, since the results of this survey showed the same tendency, the ability of cutting out shapes with scissors and tracing with a pen both affect improvement i.e., the task line and the shape of the task. I further concluded that there is the ability to grasp the whole picture.departmental bulletin pape
An analysis of quality of the health promotion effect by the "laughter yoga" after the "healthy walking" in the rising generation enforcement
40022531558In this study, we investigated what kind of health benefit the enforcement of the laughter yoga course brought. We inspected it objectively while performing healthy walking before laughter yoga course and comparing it with the effect. We considered whether an approach of the laughter yoga that added healthy walking was useful as a help of mental health care of the rising generation in "a new lifestyle". The authors carried out a field work in "Arima Onsen area" on August 2, 2020. The subject was 13 students (n=13). It was before a start of the fieldwork (contrast) and enforced various student physical examination of three times after before after the healthy walking namely laughter yoga course enforcement. The healthy walking assumes it equivalency for a warm-up before the laughter yoga course enforcement. The drop of a blood pressure level, each vital sign level such as a heart rate and the ventilatory frequency was accepted by healthy walking. In addition, the breathing functions such as temperature and lung capacity and SpO2 levels were kept during this period. And a stress suppressant effect was detected by laughter yoga course enforcement because the large drop of the salivary α -1 amylase activity level was seen with the further drop of a blood pressure level, each vital sign level of a heart rate and the ventilatory frequency. It is thought that a relaxation effect is provided by such a mental and physical stabilization action.departmental bulletin pape
Recent Trends in University Quality Assurance : The Globalization of the Higher Education Marketplace or the Manifestation of Institutional Isomorphism? : Some Preliminary Observations
40022531565This essay is an exploratory review of recent developments in quality assurance (QA) in three of the world’s most prominent university systems: China, the United Kingdom and the United States. It will explore recent global trends emphasizing learning and teaching within Higher Education (HE) and discuss the ways they relate to larger trends in globalization. This study will look at the interplay between external and internal factors motivating higher education institutions (HEIs) to improve educational quality. It concludes that the oft-cited reason of neo-liberalistic policies and the integration of the global HE market is only one factor influencing the actions of HE systems worldwide. In many national systems, shared professional values, norms and concerns over reputation appear to have been equally powerful in motivating change. As a result of this institutional isomorphism, it is not inevitable that the current convergence of QA practice will continue. This essay will conclude by discussing the ramifications of other country’s QA experience for the future of Japanese HE.departmental bulletin pape
