Pre-entrance Education at Japanese Universities: Suggestions for Transfer Students' Pre-overseas Education
Get PDF2020年度から「国境を越えた「仮想反転授業」による留学前教育に関する実証研究」をスタートさせた。この研究を推進するための知見を得るために、これまでの入学前教育に関する先行研究のレビューに加え、関西国際大学における入学前教育関連データ（2017～2019年度）の分析を行った。その結果、いずれの年においても、入学前教育課題の達成率が高いほど、入学時点での基礎学力診断テストの成績および初年次春学期のGPAが高くなる傾向が見られ、かつ達成率の高群と低群の間に有意差が認められた。これらの結果から、前述の実証研究の推進にあたり、どのような示唆が得られるか考察した。From 2020, we have started “Empirical Research on Pre-overseas Education by Cross-border ‘Virtual Flipped Classroom’”. To gain insights to drive this research, we analyzed pre-entrance education-related data (2017-2019) at Kansai University of International Studies, in addition to the reviews of previous studies on pre-entrance education. As a result, in any year, the higher the achievement rate of the tasks for pre-entrance education, the higher the grade of the diagnostic test for basic academic skill at the time of admission, also the GPA of the first spring semester tends to be higher. Moreover, a significant difference was observed between the high and the low groups of achievement rate. リーディング授業での語彙学習方略に関する調査
Get PDFVocabulary learning strategy (VLS) is important in language learning. According to research, many students do not know how to use vocabulary strategies. Also in this university, it is the first time to survey student’s vocabulary learning strategies (VLSs) in reading class. We will use the results to teach students the best VLSs. The goal of this research was to survey the VLSs of students in the reading class. Eleven students participated in the research. The finding was all students use a limited number of VLSs to learn vocabulary. The next step is to teach the students the different kinds of VLSs for different kinds of learning tasks because each learning task requires specific VLSs.語彙学習戦略は言語学習にとって重要である。これまでの研究では、多くの学生が語彙学習方略をどう使用すればよいのか理解していないことが報告されている。本研究の目的は、リーディングにおける本学の学生の語彙学習方略を明らかにし、最適な語彙学習方略の指導を検討することである。研究には11人の学生が参加した。その結果、すべての学生が限られた語彙学習方略しか使用していないことが明らかになった。今後のステップとして、それぞれの学習タスクに応じた語彙学習方略をリーディングの授業を通じて指導する必要がある。departmental bulletin pape
Needs of Community Residents for Community Contribution Activities of a Nursing Department
Get PDFPurpose: This study aims to understand what residents near the university the authors belong to expect in community contribution activities of the Department of Nursing, and to examine the ways of the activities for the future. Methods: Anonymous self-rated questionnaires were distributed to 3,184 households in the university neighborhood, covering questions about the demographics, health conditions, recognition of the university and the Department of Nursing, what residents expect the university to contribute to the community, and the wishes, opinions, and requests for community contribution activities. Results: We collected 1,090 responses (34.2%), and of these 1,088 were determined to be valid (34.2%). It was found that 84.8% had expectations for the community contribution activities of the Department of Nursing, including “making the university facilities available to community residents”, “visits to the elderly living alone”, and “health consultations”. Conclusions: The results showed specific needs of community residents for possible contributions from the Department of Nursing to the community. In future activities, it will be necessary to work in harmony with present community activities by collaborating with the municipality and local organizations.departmental bulletin pape

A Study on the School Management Based on the Knowledge of Special Needs EducationⅪ：Understanding the Developmental Situation from Children's Works and Applying it to Teaching①
Get PDF毎年、多くの学校園からの依頼を受け、教室巡回指導に出向かせていただいている。困っている子どもたちは、授業中に座っていられなかったり、教室を飛び出したり、すぐに友だちに手をだしてしまったり等々、様々な形でその困っているところを表出している。
その状況に対して、どのようにそれらの子どもたちと関わり、指導・支援すればよいのかの糸口を見つけるために、教室にある観察記録や絵や習字などの作品から、子どもたちがどのような点で困っているのかなどプロフィールの読み取りを行っている。
教室巡回後の担任の先生との情報交換では「普段見ていないのに、なぜそんなことが見えるんですか？」とか「どうしたら、わかるようになりますか？」などと尋ねられることも多い。
その一つの回答として、Ⅱ章では、絵や文字などから子どもたちのプロフィールを読み取る基本的な理念として、ITPA理論や感覚統合の視点を紹介した。さらに、Ⅲ章では0歳児～3歳児までの絵とそこからの読み取りの事例を提示した。
しかし、読み取りをすることそのものが目的ではない。本当の目的はこのような手法を通して子どもたち一人ひとりに応じた的確な関わり方ができるようになったり、指導・支援の仕方を工夫できるようになったりすることにある。そしてそれが、より良い学級集団づくりに結びついてくれることを心より願っている。Every year, the author is asked by many schools to visit their classrooms to give guidance. Children who are in trouble show their problems in various ways, such as not being able to sit in class, running out of the classroom, or immediately lashing out at their friends.
In order to find clues on how to relate to, and guide these children, the author uses observation records and works of art such as drawings and calligraphy in the classroom to understand the profile of the children and what kind of problems they are facing.
When exchanging information with the homeroom teachers after visiting their classrooms, the author was often asked by these teachers, "How can you see such things when you don't usually see them?”, "How can I learn to understand?” etc.
To answer one of these questions, in Chapter II, the author introduced the ITPA theory and the perspective of sensory integration as the basic principles for reading children's profiles from pictures and letters. In addition, the author presented pictures of children from 0 to 3 years old and what can be read from them in Chapter III.
However, the purpose here is not to do the reading itself. The real purpose is to be able to interact with each child in a way that is appropriate for them, and to devise ways to guide them. Satisfice in Online Mere Exposure Effect Experiments
Get PDFThe purpose of this study was to examine whether the mere exposure effect can be observed in online experiments and how to deal with the problem of effort minimization in the experimental paradigm of the mere exposure effect. Currently, problems of effort minimization such as Satisfice have been pointed out in online surveys. This problem can also occur in online experiments. Especially in the experimental paradigm of the mere exposure effect, it is highly likely that the choice "not to see the stimulus" is made due to effort minimization at the contact stage. In the present experiment, we used a confirmation task to check whether participants saw the stimuli in the exposure phase, and only those participants who saw the stimuli in the contact phase were included in the analysis. The results showed that about 20% of the participants did not see the stimuli in the exposure phase. The results showed that about 20% of the participants did not see the stimulus in the exposure phase. We examined the occurrence of the mere exposure effect only for the participants who saw the stimulus in the exposure phase, and the mere exposure effect was confirmed in all experiments本研究の目的は，単純接触効果がオンライン実験で観察できるかどうか，また単純接触効果の実験パラダイムにおける努力最小化の問題の対応方法を検討することであった。現在，オンライン調査ではSatisficeなどの努力最小化の問題が指摘されている。この問題はオンライン実験でも起こりうる。特に単純接触効果の実験パラダイムでは、接触段階で努力の最小化により「刺激を見ない」という選択がなされる可能性が高い。本実験では，確認課題により参加者が接触段階で刺激を見たか確認し，接触段階で刺激を見ていた参加者のみを分析対象とした。結果では，約20％の参加者が接触段階で刺激を見ていないことが明らかになった。接触段階で刺激を見た参加者のみを対象に単純接触効果の生起を検討したところ，いずれの実験でも単純接触効果が確認された。departmental bulletin pape
Cooperation among music festivals, Local Goverments and Communities : Based on a questionnaire survey of organizers
Get PDFThe purpose of this paper is to know quantitatively about the relationship between music festivals and the local community, focusing on the status of cooperation between the government and the local community. The results of a questionnaire survey of the organizers were used to understand the situation. The main survey items were the status of collaboration between the festival and the local government and society, support for the festival by the government, the festival's self-evaluation of contribution to the local community, and changes in the relationship in the COVID-19 pandemic.
The purpose of this study is to understand the relationship between festivals and local communities, including but not limited to the impact on economic activities. In the design of the survey, we were strongly aware of the importance of economic, social, physical and symbolic resources as a perspective for analyzing festivals and urban development.本稿の目的は，音楽フェスティバルと行政・地域社会との連携状況を定量的に把握することであり，フェス主催者を対象とした質問票調査の結果をもとに，課題探索的に状況の把握につとめるものである。主な調査項目は，フェスと行政や地域社会の連携状況，行政や地域社会によるフェスの支援について，フェスの地域社会への貢献（自己評価）の3点である。これに時節を考慮し，コロナ禍における関係性の変化を追加した。
分析結果は単純集計が中心ではあるが、多くのフェスが開催にあたっては自治体や行政と協議を重ねていること，一部のフェスは補助金などの支援制度を利用していることなど、2019年以前の状況について知る上で貴重なデータを提示している。departmental bulletin pape
Examination of quality of life improvement effect of “laughter yoga” An additional report: Changes in psychological state in middle-aged and elderly people and efficacy of “self-training”
Get PDFIn this study, we conducted a POMS survey and CES-D test to investigate the psychological benefits of laughter yoga. The subjects were 31 women in their 40's to 70's, group A (n=15) who took the "laughter yoga" class and "self-training" and group B (n=16) who did not take the "self-training" class. In both groups, questionnaires on "change in mood" and "depression" were administered, and the changes in the psychological state of the subjects were analyzed and evaluated, and the following conclusions were obtained. The evaluation of the "mood status" by the six scales in the POMS survey suggested that the continuous implementation of the "voluntary training" was effective in alleviating the "tension-anxiety"and improving the "depression-feel down" states. In addition, the feelings of "anger and hostility" could be improved regardless of the presence or absence of "voluntary training," and it was thought that sharing the contents of training would lead to the activation of body and mind. The results of the CES-D test suggested that the tendency to improve depression was enhanced when participants participated in the laughter yoga workshop and continued the voluntary training. "The results of the POMS survey were similar to those of the POMS survey. In group A, all the subjects who were evaluated as "depressed" before the intervention broke out of the "depressed state" during the intervention and remained in the "improved state" afterwards. In Group B, half of the subjects who were evaluated as "depressed" before the intervention also broke out of the depressed state. These findings indicate that the "depression" can be improved to some extent even in the group that received the "laughter yoga" course alone. These findings suggest that "laughter yoga" activities are useful for improving the "quality of life" as an approach to stress coping in all social situations. In addition, by reducing the burden of "self-training," laughter yoga" seems to be an effective approach for people suffering from physical and mental disorders to improve their symptoms and medical conditions.本研究においては，「笑いヨガ」の心理面における有用性の有無について，POMS調査およびCES-D検査を行い検討した。検索対象は40～70代の女性，計31名で，「笑いヨガ」の講習会に加えて「自主トレーニング」を実施したA群（ｎ＝15）と「自主トレーニング」非実施のB群（ｎ＝16）とした。両群において, 「気分の変化」と「うつ状態」についてのアンケート調査を行い，被験者の心理状態の変化について分析・評価したところ，以下の結論を得た。
POMS調査における６尺度による「気分の状態」の評価では，「緊張－不安感」の緩和や「抑うつ－落込み」状態の改善については，「自主トレーニング」の継続実施が効果的であることが示唆された。また「怒り－敵意」の感情は，「自主トレーニング」の有無に関わらず改善が可能であり，トレーニングの内容の共有が，心身の活性化に繋がるものと考えられた。
またCES-D検査における評価結果より，「笑いヨガ」講習会の参加に加え，「自主トレーニング」を継続実施した場合に，「うつ状態」の改善傾向が促されることが示唆された。「うつ状態」改善効果については，POMS調査の結果に同調していた。すなわち，A群では，介入前に「うつ状態」と評価された被験者全員が，介入中に「うつ状態」から脱却し，その後も「改善状態」が持続した。またB群においても，介入前に「うつ状態」と評価された被験者の半数に「うつ状態」からの脱却が認められた。本所見は，「笑いヨガ」講習の単独実施群においても，ある程度の「うつ状態」改善効果が得られることが判明した。
以上の所見から，「笑いヨガ」の活動が，社会のあらゆる場におけるストレスコーピングへの取り組みとして，「生活の質」の改善に役立つものと考えられる。そして，「自主トレーニング」の負荷軽減により，心身の不調に悩む人々に対して，症状の改善や医学的な応用による病状の改善にも「笑いヨガ」が効果的な取り組みであると思われる。departmental bulletin pape

DX人材の育成と文系大学におけるデータサイエンス教育プログラムに関する研究
Get PDFDigital transformation is now being promoted speedily in all industries. In various fields of social, industrial, and business situations, problem-solving based on the existence of big data is emphasized. Therefore, there is an urgent need to develop human resources that have the ability of data analysis/utilization, create new value and solve problems based on this. Following the publication of the model curriculum by the Japan Inter-University Consortium, MEXT is promoting measures related to the "Certified Education Program" MDASH to enroll all students in AI/data science literacy level education. Correspondingly, the movement to introduce data science education is now spreading at many universities. However, it cannot be said that the goals of the human resources image required by the digital transformation era and the contents of the data science education curriculum suitable for the university are not always clearly recognized. Therefore, in this paper, we will discuss the essence of DX and the characteristics of human resources required in the DX era, and also describe the basic form of data science education, especially the construction of a curriculum for data science education at small private liberal arts universities such as our university. And then, we discussed the issues involved in data science education, such as the impact of information education reform in high school, the introduction of "information" in the common test for university admission, and the possibility of a fusion of data science knowledge in specialized education and how to integrate data science education with expertise education, and how we should overcome the barriers for the liberal arts students who lack mathematics foundations and IT skills in data science learning.昨今、デジタルトランスフォーメーションの動向はあらゆる業界でスピーディーに推進されていて、社会、産業、ビジネスのさまざまな場面において、ビッグデータに基づく問題解決が強調されている。そのため、データ分析・活用の能力を持ち、新しい価値を創造し、これに基づいて問題を解決する能力を持っている人材の育成が急務となっている。特に、データサイエンスやAI技術応用分野で活躍できる人材の必要性が高まり、国立6大学を拠点校とする「データサイエンス教育強化拠点コンソーシアム」がリテラシーレベルのモデルカリキュラムを公表したことを受け、文科省はＡI・データサイエンスリテラシーレベルの教育を全学生が履修することを目標に、MDASH「認定教育プログラム」という施策を推進している。これに順じて、多くの私立大学でデータサイエンス教育導入の動きが広がっている。
しかしながら、一方では、デジタルトランスフォーメーション時代に求められる人物像の目標や、大学にふさわしいデータサイエンス教育カリキュラムの内容が必ずしも明確に認識されているとは言えない。そこで本稿では、これらの問題を踏まえて、DXの本質とDX時代に求められる人材の特徴について考察するとともに、データサイエンス教育カリキュラムの基本形、特に文系の小規模私立大学におけるデータサイエンス教育のカリキュラムの構築について論じる。
最後に、大学におけるデータサイエンス教育課題として、高校における情報教育改革の影響や大学入学共通テストで「情報」の導入の影響、そしてデータサイエンスの知識と専門領域教育における専門知識との融合の可能性など、大学のデータサイエンス教育に関する課題について議論する。また、数学の基礎力とITスキルが不足している文系大学生のデータサイエンスの学習における障壁をどのように克服するか、数学基礎とプログラミングを統合するリメディアル教育についても論じる。departmental bulletin pape
