ROMANIA’S REGIONAL INEQUALITIES IN RELATION TO THE OBJECTIVES OF THE EUROPE 2020 STRATEGY
No full textThe present paper represents a study of the competitiveness of Romania in relation to the targets of the Europe 2020 strategy, in order to draw up a current regional ranking of the competitiveness. There are significant disparities in the regional contribution to the achievement of Europe 2020 national targets, which will affect both Romania\u27s competitive position within the European Union and its long-term evolution. The purpose of this paper is to highlight these regional differences in terms of progress in achieving the Europe 2020 targets by analyzing their evolutions in the period and at the end of the implementation program. In this respect, the Principal Component Analysis method is used to establish two regional rankings corresponding to 2016 and 2020 that illustrate their intermediate and final progress. The results show that employment rate and tertiary education are the targets with the greatest impact on the final regional score and those that most differentiate the regions between them. On the other hand, the results show the tendency of regions to diverge from some strategic targets, which will further complicate Romania\u27s long-term competitive mission
THE REGULATION OF THE LIMITED LIABILITY COMPANY WITH A SOLE PARTNER IN THE EUROPEAN UNION
No full textThe limited liability company with a sole partner has existed from the beginning in the most controversial corporate form. This fact contradicts the principles governing the body of legal entities in general and companies in particular. The normative consecration of the sole proprietorship was made to the detriment of the economic enterprise based on the theory of the patrimony of affectation by finally opting for its integration within the limited liability company due to the numerous practical operational advantages of this type of company. This vision also characterizes the way the regulation of the limited liability companies with sole partner is made at the level of the European Union based on the provisions of the Council Directive 89/667 / EEC of Dec. 21st, 1989 on the company law in respect of the limited liability companies with a sole shareholder as amended by Council Directive 2006/99 / EC of November 20th, 2006.
EMPLOYEES’ BEHAVIOR WITHIN LABOR MARKET: GENERATION Z VS. GENERATION Y
No full textNowadays many companies around the world are facing the new generation of employees, identified as Z, with different expectations and aspirations that in some points are very different than those of the generation before, that is called Y. Taking into consideration the fact that attracting and retaining the talents within the company is becoming a high priority, representing the core component in developing and delivering the high value for the customers, a better employee generation profile understanding is of utmost importance in developing the most appropriate HR strategies. Thus, the purpose of this study is to create a profile pattern regarding the labor market entry and behavior for the two generations: Y vs. Z. In this respect a survey was conducted on 112 students from Arges County and the measurements was conducted in five directions: career expectations; selecting an employer, company and industry sector; career priorities; personal life towards professional life, what my generation is doing. The results of the study reveal the fact that there are many differences between the two generations with very well outlined profile patterns. REGIONAL DETERMINANTS OF EXPORT COMPETITIVENESS IN MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY IN CANTON SARAJEVO, BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA
No full textLocated in Southeast Europe, Bosnia and Herzegovina suffered from the negative trade balance. There is an increase of export performance; however, the import value is much higher exceeding the export value. To solve that issue, this research aims to investigate regional determinants and its impact on export competitiveness of manufacturing industry in Canton Sarajevo, the center of economy of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Regional determinants assessed are foreign ownership, urbanization, and localization. Regression analysis using SPSS software was conducted. Type of manufacturing industry, urbanization, and localization were the independent variables, meanwhile export competitiveness was the dependent variable. Type of manufacturing industry shows positive impact on export competitiveness. There are 94 out of 490 exporting companies in Canton Sarajevo that belong to manufacturing industry. Out of 94 companies, the most represented companies are fabricated metal products. The manufacturing industry plays a significant role to the export competitiveness in Canton Sarajevo. The biggest urbanization ratio percentage was 23.08% in 2018. The biggest localization ratio percentage was 9.33% in 2016, meaning that localization dropped in years. According to the export incomes data, results show that a small municipality, such as Ilijaš, gains the biggest export incomes. The regression analysis shows positive linear correlation between variables.

No full textPeople is the more important resource for any organization, flexibility is a highly desirable attribute for all companies; organizational flexibility is possible through people. This paper reports about the relationship between human resources management and organizational performance that can be upgraded by getting flexibility. The study was made in two main phases, first, a literature review looking for the state of the art about human resources management and organizational flexibility. Second, using affinity diagram, the relationship between these and the company performance was identified, for summarized in a conceptual proposal. The study conclude that companies can get high performance using the human resources management to be flexible
