Results of Covid -19 on small and medium practice auditing firms
As a result and the influence of covid-19, many enterprises faced problems like they had never before. For many small businesses, it is important to have a trusted consultant in the form of small and medium-sized audit firms, who we can ask for help and advice during the current crisis. Although covid-19 has posed many challenges, it has also become a catalyst for both business and small and medium-sized firms, to undergo their digital transformation. Firms with small and medium practices should switch to automated auditing remotely, because it enables a more cost-effective, efficient and quality audit. They need to develop the ability to offer cloud-based consulting services. Experts adapt to the changing environment created in the field of business, properly change the processes of preparation and submission of financial statements, the information disclosed in the financial statements and re-evaluate the possibilities of maintaining the activities of enterprises in the near future
HOW CAN THE DEVELOPMENT OF SPECIAL ECONOMIC ZONES STIMULATE PRIVATE INVESTMENTS - THE CASE OF THE «LIPETSK» IN RUSSIA
Russia has always had problems with the uneven development of regions. This is due to the country\u27s large size, different socio-cultural factors, and the taxation system, which forces the regions to send most of the collected taxes to Moscow. This causes social tension, accelerates the widening of the economic gap between regions, and reduces the opportunities for regions in economic cooperation. This paper presents an assessment of the possibilities of correcting the current situation by creating special economic zones in the regions that can stimulate the development of the regional economy and infrastructure. The scientific novelty of the study is the development of a methodology for assessing the impact of SEZs on the regional economy by determining the share of SEZs in the economic indicators of the region, comparing them with those of other SEZs, and correlating the relationship between the volume of private investments of SEZs and various socio-economic indicators. The study\u27s practical significance is to develop practical recommendations for developing and improving industrial-production-type SEZs to increase the rate of development of the Lipetsk region\u27s economy
CULTURAL DIFFERENCES IN BUSINESS COMMUNICATION
Since business is a collaborative activity, intercultural communication has developed into being an essential part in the business world.Understanding how to communicate effectively with people from other cultures has become a priority for many organizations as individuals from different cultural backgrounds do not only have different languages, but also different rules and strategies of interacting. As a consequence, problems of intercultural misunderstanding often arise in multinational organizations because of the difficulty of finding appropriate ways to communicate intentions, expectations, attitudes, feelings, and beliefs. The paper gives an overview of the interdisciplinary field of intercultural business communication by focusing on some key cultural dimensions identified by Geert Hofstede, such as power distance, uncertainty avoidance, individualism and collectivism, masculinity and femininity, as well as the concept of low- and high-context cultures developed by Edward T. Hall
EVOLUTIONARY DOUBLE ENTRY ACCOUNTING: BEFORE AND AFTER LUCA PIACIOLO\u27S SUMMA
Both as researchers and as ordinary people, we often go too easily over the history of human knowledge. Science constrains us to carefully analyze the past, an act that guides our steps in the present and future. We often rush to decree ideas and opinions present in our universe since several centuries ago as discoveries of the modern world. The truth is that Luca Paciolo is one of the most commented authors in the history of mankind, some assessing the number of scientists and not only who debated and criticized in writing his famous work at over 1700. Luca Paciolo was born in 1445 in Borgo San Sepolcro (nowadays Sansepolcro) in the Arezzo region of the Florentine Republic, becoming a well-known mathematician who worked and taught, including at the court of Duke Ludovico Sforza in Milan. His most famous work is "Summa de l\u27arithmetica, geometria, proportioni e proportionalita" published in 1494, a work of mathematics and geometry that presents, in Chapter XI, for the first time for that era, the double entry accounting method. This was a turning point in the history of accounting, marking its undisputed rise to the modern form in which we know it these days. This paper aims to show the essential role that Luca Paciolo played in the development of this science, to place into a context the evolution of accounting and of the double entry but also to clarify the historical status that Paciolo had: inventor or popularizer of the double entry
SOME CONSIDERATIONS REGARDING LETTER OF CREDIT ACCOUNTING
Cash, as a means of money, is a mandatory component of the accounting system because accounting can only work with values, through which take place the generalization and expression of the reality of economic phenomena. From the point of view of cash classification, depending on the presentation, we identify the letter of credit, known as a financial instrument for securing payment, also illustrating its classification with the necessary example. The topicality of the article results from the consideration that researching the specialized literature for the last years, the authors noticed the absence of articles addressing this topic. The research methods used include such methods as the normative documentary method, induction and deduction, analytical study, etc. The purpose of this article is to highlight the main arguments of using the letter of credit in terms of literature, both national and international, in order to motivate economic agents in its use, because from the moment of issuance, the supplier is assured that all the provisions of the commercial contract will be observed by the buyer
IMPACT OF TRAINING QUALITY & TEAM COMPETENCE ON ERP IMPLEMENTATION SUCCESS: EVIDENCE FROM BOSNIA & HERZEGOVINA
This study is focused on empirical factors that are influencing perceived success of ERP implementation by users in companies in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The study investigates effects of training quality and team competence on ERP implementation success in Bosnia and Herzegovina companies. A structured survey, based on previously validated scales, was used to collect the data, and once collected, was processed in SPSS and Microsoft Excel. Descriptive statistics and regression methodology were applied in SPSS. Results revealed statistically significant effects of Training Quality on ERP Implementation Success while the hypothesized effects of Team Competence on ERP Implementation Success were not confirmed. Rejection of direct effects of Team Competence emphasize some specifics of the market and the economy of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It may be that an under-developed economy and the ERP culture caused some factors to be less important in the success of the ERP implementation. Results of this study may help companies, managers and project managers in need of ERP implementation to identify important factors of perceived success by users. The population of the study is from one corporation located in Bosnia and Herzegovina with approximately 400 ERP users that developed and internally implemented their own ERP system
FAKE NEWS DETECTION ABOUT SARS-COV-2 PANDEMIC USING NEUTRAL NETWORKS AND DETECTION ALGORITHMS
Fake news has an extremely high impact on society, spreading quite simple and fast through social media, TV, internet, press, and other means of communication. The false news about the new coronavirus is blocked by the authorities, according to the decree for establishing a state of emergency. The misinformation of the population and the placement of fake news is two inevitable consequences in times of crisis, these being amplified by two other elements, which feed each other: fear of illness, which can cause deaths, but also uncertainty or lack of information on how to manage the crisis and what is involved. The need to stop the spreading of fake news, it\u27s paramount and this paper proposes to recognizing truthful information from false information during the pandemic COVID-19 through a guide learning method. This guide implies a model for distinguishing false messages in the online environment, such as Machine Learning algorithms, which can have an accuracy of over 95%

ECONOMIC GROWTH AND ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
In this research, we analyzed the link between economic growth and environmental protection for countries like: Austria, Czech Republic and Hungary. For the economic growth we used gross domestic products (GDP) as a proxy and for the environmental protection we decided to use general government expenditure by function such as: environmental protection, waste management, pollution abatement, protection of biodiversity and landscape and R&D environmental protection. Due to the restrictions in finding the data, we decided that the period under investigation would be 1995-2017. The empirical results confirmed the presence of a positive link between GDP and expenditures for all the countries analyzed, a fact confirmed by the other existing studies. After applying the Granger causality test, only in the case of Hungary was identified a unidirectional causality from GDP to R&D environmental protection.
