GREEN MARKETING A CHALLENGE FOR CONSUM GENERATION

    No full text
Identifying how the population looks at the pro-environment marketing strategy, the weaknesses and strengths of this strategy as well as its involvement in environmental marketing, employee responsibility and the firm\u27s efforts to pursue a continuous process of improvement are also some of the objectives targeted in this study. All these objectives, as well as the environmental components of marketing, must be linked to the objectives and environmental policy of the company. The chances of success of environmental marketing depend on the extent to which it is considered the cornerstone of an integrated concept, anchored in the environmental management of the company. Through this study we wanted to analyse the behavior, opinions and attitudes of the population of Suceava County regarding green marketing strategies; we also set out to know through this paper the benefits and opportunities of green marketing strategy, to study its challenges, to check the awareness of the population in this area regarding the green marketing status (Green marketing) as well as the social responsibility adopted by companies in Romania, and last but not least to identify to what extent the choice of end consumers is influenced by the approach of green marketing strategies by companies/organizations. The research coordinates are spatial, the research took place in the online environment on a sample of 385 people; time, the data presented were collected through quantitative research, the questionnaire was distributed between 02.05.2020-17.05.2020 to the population of Suceava County and modal, the respondents received a message either on the phone or on social networks in the text of which was incorporated the link to the access link on the Google forms platform containing the questionnaire. Thus, e-mail was used to invite the chosen people to participate in the online questionnaire.Identifying how the population looks at the pro-environment marketing strategy, the weaknesses and strengths of this strategy as well as its involvement in environmental marketing, employee responsibility and the firm\u27s efforts to pursue a continuous process of improvement are also some of the objectives targeted in this study. A BIBLIOMETRIC ANALYSIS OF THE GLOBAL RESEARCH ON BIG DATA FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

    No full text
There is a growing interest in the literature on the theme of big data and sustainable development. As the volume of data is increasing exponentially so does the need to analyse, understand and use this data in the context of UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development Goals. The data revolution, the open data movement, the rise of Artificial Intelligence and the Internet of Things have the power to transform society through integrated actions in order to tackle the environmental, economic and social challenges that we are facing today.  Despite all these opportunities, there is still a lack of knowledge on how to make the best use of all existing big data and how it can be mapped in research areas so the public can benefit. Therefore, this paper proposes a bibliometric analysis on the subject of big data for sustainable development with the aim to assist in the development of future research papers. To this end, journals indexed in Scopus database have been used. We extracted a total of 281 papers that were further analysed using the following criteria: publication year, affiliation, country, funding sponsor, type of research document, subject area and most identified keywords. The results of the review serves as the basis for determining possible future research projects, raising awareness at the country level as to the lack of funding towards this domain and the achievement of SDG sustained by the UN.   Key words: big data sustainable development bibliometric analysis   JEL classification: Q01, Q54, Q55, Q5

THE IMPACT OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC ON THE FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE AND PRICE OF THE SHARES OF THE ENERGY AND FUEL COMPANIES LISTED ON THE MAIN SEGMENT OF THE BUCHAREST STOCK EXCHANGE

    No full text
It is known that many factors influence the stock prices and the value of energy and fuel companies. Among them we can mention the economic, social, environmental, political factors, and recently the Covid-19 pandemic. The aim of the study is to examine the probability and intensity of the deterioration of the financial situation and the decrease in the share prices of energy and fuel companies listed on the main segment of the Bucharest Stock Exchange (Romania) during the pandemics. The study has used mixed benchmarking methods, in time and space, and highlighted the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the financial performance and share prices of three energy and fuel companies listed on the main segment of the stock market. The risk of declining the financial performance and the share price of energy and fuel companies has increased significantly. This issue has been associated both to a temporary reduction in energy and fuel demand, to the pandemic restrictions introduced in most countries as well as to the behavior of the market investors

    No full text
The public debt in Romania has experienced a spectacular increase in the last 2 years. More and more economic analysts sound the alarm and warn the government about the dangerous effects of this phenomenon on the country\u27s economy. It will analyze the evolution and structure of public debt during 2015-June 2021, the causes of this increase and the consequences on the Romanian economy. At the same time we will study the behavior and decisions of the state leadership that led to this evolution. The paper includes 5 chapters. Introduction, in which we will define public debt and the current context related to this aspect. Here too we will refer to the motivation of approaching this analysis. The next chapter is Literature Review, in which we will present recent studies on public debt in general and public debt in Romania. Legal stipulations regarding public debt in Romania is a chapter in which the main normative acts regarding this aspect will be presented. In Database and analysis, the evolution and structure of public debt in the period 2015-2021 will be presented in figures, as well as other aspects related to the cost of public debt and the sovereign rating. The paper is based on data provided by the Ministry of Public Finance and the National Bank of Romania as well as the relevant tax legislation in Romania. Own calculations and correlations were performed based on this information. The conclusions in the last chapter are that the public debt has “exploded” in an impermissible, non-transparent and unsustainable way, without the responsible public entities clearly explaining the phenomenon. The consequences for the economy in the future are not known but can be intuited, given the status of Romania\u27s emerging country. The public debt in Romania has experienced a spectacular increase in the last 2 years. The business cycle in the representation of Robert E. Lucas, Jr.

    No full text
In various forms, economists are still taking sustained action to find specific answers to questions related to the issue of economic fluctuations. In this context of continuing concerns, both the "old" classics and the "new" classics have made substantial progress in their own theories of the business cycle. If, in order to explain the economic fluctuations, the old classics based their theory on non-governmental intervention as well as on the flexibility of prices, wages and interests, the new classics transpose the same problem through a reference, mainly, to technological disturbances, information asymmetry, as well as to real business cycles. In general terms, it can be argued that the new classics continue to believe that the business cycle can be understood in an equilibrium-oriented market model, thus maintaining the classical equilibrium model. This study represents a foray into the history of classical economic thinking, providing a current perspective on the main research directions of the new classical school in the field of business cycles in relation to the contributions made by economist Robert E. EFFECTS AND CHARACTERISTICS OF THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE 1921 AGRARIAN REFORM IN IAȘI COUNTY – AN ECONOMETRIC APPROACH

    No full text
Notwithstanding the multiple perceived deficiencies of the 1918-1921 agrarian reform pointed out by several authors, it can be firmly stated that it had considerable impact both in the County of Iași as well as in most other territorial units of interwar Romania, fact which is recorded in most of the papers written on the topic of the reform. Some of the most important effects of the vast process of redistribution of the land fund - perhaps the most extensive one ever recorded in the world or in Europe at least, according to the opinion of many reputed historians and economists were in the end expropriation of the big agricultural landowners in the county and the appropriation of peasants with individual plots. The discrepancy between the positive perception of the interwar period by a large share of contemporary Romanian society and the critical assessments and analyses in the works of some historians, mainly foreign ones, which are based on historical reports, data and information, can be justified and better understood on making use of statistics and statistical validation of the economic performance of the Kingdom of Romania between 1918 and 1939. Notwithstanding any critique of Statistics as a universal panacea with inevitable potential shortcomings, most authors agree that such assessments are highly relevant
