    No full text
The aim of this paper is to study the gender gap in entrepreneurship in some of OECD countries. The research methodology is based on a descriptive analysis and multivariate analysis of the data series collected from the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor website and OECD.Stat. The research included 31 OECD member countries, the data being downloaded from the organization\u27s website and refers to 2019 year. The results show that there is a positive and strong correlation between the share of self employed women and men who are employers. A determining factor that could explain this correlation could be the entrepreneurial culture in each country. In order to eliminate gender disparities in participation and economic opportunities, it is important to find the reasons for this gap. According to the Global Report on Gender Differences, published by World Economic Forum in December 2018, there is a 68% worldwide. At the current rate, the data suggest that it will take 108 years to erase global gender differences. The global disparity index is based on four sub-indices: opportunities and economic participation, education, health and survival, empowerment and political power. In terms of opportunities and economic participation, they can be assessed by looking at: labor market participation ("participation gap"), the ratio of estimated incomes of women and men and equal pay for similar work ("pay gap"); and the relationship between women and men among legislators, senior officials and managers, as well as the ratio between women and men among technical and professional workers ("promotion gap").    The aim of this paper is to study the gender gap in entrepreneurship in some of OECD countries. ANALYSIS OF THE CORRELATION BETWEEN INVESTMENTS, THE REAL COST WITH LABOR AND TOTAL EMPLOYABILITY IN THE EU, IN THE ECONOMIC CONTEXT MARKED BY THE COVID-19 PADEMIC

    No full text
The objective of the study conducted by the authors is the analysis of the impact of two indicators - the total value of investments and the real cost of labor - on the indicator total employability, in the current economic context, marked by the COVID-19 pandemic. To achieve this goal, the linear regression model was used in the analysis of the correlation between total employment, real unit labor costs and total investment volume. As a result of determining the correlation coefficients, it turned out that the number of employees depends largely on the total value of investments, which has a major impact on the labor market. On the other hand, it turned out that, in the current economic context, the need for jobs is much higher and employability no longer depends on real unit labor costs. These results are consistent with existing theoretical studies. We consider that the estimates made on the impact of the total value of investments and the real cost of labor on employability are useful in testing and implementing theories of investment and consumption in conditions of uncertainty

Public Debt and the Covid-19 Pandemic: Reality and Interconnectedness

    No full text
In the process of fulfilling their functions and obligations, states often find themselves in a situation where their own financial resources are not sufficient to achieve the set goals and objectives.Under such conditions, in order to finance government expenditures and the formation of budget revenues, it is necessary to attract domestic and foreign loans, which leads to the emergence and growth of both domestic and foreign debt. Borrowing in the face of globalization should not be considered a sensation. At the modern stage, capital has taken on the character of international mobility and it is constantly moving from country to country in order for its owner to make more profit. The unequal level of development of countries, their division into developed and developing countries gives the flow of capital movement in a largely one-way direction. Effective management of public debt, including the external debt component, is essential to ensure Georgia\u27s fiscal sustainability.Borrowing public debt is sound in the face of economic growth, but if payments for foreign debt services are growing faster than foreign exchange earnings, then there are problems with the balance of payments and the state budget. The action of any government in obtaining loans is conditioned by its financial condition. The larger the volume of government loans, the higher the share of public debt to GDP, the deeper the financial crisis. The best indicator of public debt sustainability is its ratio to nominal GDP
