B2C market segmentation: A systematic literature review
The article provides a systematic literature review of market segmentation in the business-to-consumer (B2C) sector. Market segmentation is a critical component of strategic marketing, as it enables companies to identify and target specific groups of consumers with relevant products and services. The main objective of this review is to identify the most commonly used and effective methods of segmenting consumer markets and to explore how firms have adapted to the changing technology landscape. Additionally, the review aims to identify areas that have received less attention in research and to develop a conceptual framework for harmonizing and expanding previous research aimed at segmenting consumer markets over the past ten years. Through this review, it is evident that market segmentation is a complex process that uses multiple variables and sub-variables. This systematic literature review provides valuable insights into market segmentation in the B2C sector and contributes to advancing the fragmented literature on this topic.
Should crypto assets be regarded as securities? Implications and findings.
This paper examines the debate surrounding the classification of crypto assets as securities and its implications on the regulatory framework. The emergence of blockchain technologies and their widespread adoption have presented challenges for regulators in fitting these assets into existing financial and regulatory frameworks. The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has taken a proactive stance in asserting its authority over the crypto economy. To analyze the SEC\u27s position, this paper explores the Howey Test, a legal framework used to determine whether an investment arrangement qualifies as a security. It evaluates each criterion of the test in the context of crypto assets and discusses the SEC\u27s evolving stance. The paper emphasizes the importance of considering the context and actual influence of investors and promoters when determining whether a common enterprise exists. It also highlights the need to distinguish between cryptocurrencies marketed as currencies and those primarily used as investment assets. The paper concludes that clear definitions and regulatory guidelines are necessary to address the complexities of crypto assets and their interaction with traditional financial markets. The outcome of ongoing lawsuits and regulatory decisions will shape the future development and integration of crypto assets into existing frameworks
Mitigating the negative impacts of COVID-19 on the Readymade Garments Industry of Bangladesh.
The goal of this research work is two-fold. First, it examines the effects of COVID-19 in the workplace of the RMG industry in Bangladesh. Second, it suggests recommendations to fight the negative impact of COVID-19 on the RMG industry of Bangladesh. This research describes the potential strategies to mitigate the negative impact of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic on the readymade garment (RMG) workers of Bangladesh. It articulates the RMG workers’ existing vulnerability during the COVID-19 pandemic based on currently available evidence and personal conversations/communications with RMG workers. Both primary and secondary data were used for the study. A survey instrument was developed for collecting primary data to capture the information relating to the research objectives. We distributed the questionnaire to 400 garment workers, managers, and owner-managers. Responses were obtained from 399 rank and file employees, but 64 participants could not correctly respond to the questions. We did not consider those incorrect responses and we were left with 335 questions with the accurate response (response rate of 83% approximately). Hence the sample size is adequate and representative. We employed frequency, correlation, and regression analysis. The correlation was used to identify if there is an association and strengthen the relationship between the independent variables (adaptability, financial prowess, non-financial prowess, and compliance with CDC guidelines) and the dependent variable Covid-19). We also employed regression analysis to look at the effects of independent examine independent variables on the dependent variable (COVID-19). It is clearly revealed in this study that all the independent variables are positively and significantly correlated with the dependent variable COVID-19, as is evidenced by Pearson correlation coefficients (r) and p values of each independent variable The most considerable relationship is the Adaptability, where r = 0.167

Public – private partnership as a bridge between society\u27s needs and the sustainable development goals achievement
In contemporary economics, it can be seen how governments around the world tend to satisfy social needs by using more sustainable practices. Also, under the pressure of environmental degradation, more and more individuals in the private sector are interested in identifying solutions for sustainable development. Thus, a collaboration between the state and the private environment in the form of public-private partnerships that adapt to both economic, social and environmental needs is fundamental for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations. The parts of a public-private partnership must concretely define their objectives, to emphasize the measurement of the socio-economic dimensions of their policies, to realise a risk assessment taking into account all the essential areas of sustainable development - economic, social and environmental and to be aware that the emphasis on one dimension at the expense of the others can lead to the failure of this type of partnership to maintain enthusiasm, transparency and involvement throughout the life of the public-private partnership. Through this study, we aimed to carry out a literature review to highlight the current state of research regarding the integration of sustainability in public-private partnership projects and to identify existing gaps in this field that can become directions for further research and practice. In contemporary economics, it can be seen how governments around the world tend to satisfy social needs by using more sustainable practices. REGIONAL INNOVATION IN ROMANIA – THE CASE OF BUCHAREST-ILFOV REGION
Regional innovation systems are solid enablers to ensure economic growth and sustainability development across locations. The Regional Innovation Scoreboard (RIS) analyzes the innovation performance of European regions and proposes a set of indicators to measure the development of innovative endeavors across years. Using the data from the RIS for a period of seven years, between 2014 and 2021, the current paper evaluates the achievements of Romanian regions in terms of innovation. We have used a case study approach and selected the Bucharest-Ilfov region, the only Romanian region that overall scores as Moderate innovator. By adopting the benchmarking technique, we compare the performance of Bucharest-Ilfov region with the other seven Romanian regions in the attempt to understand how regional strengths can be applied for continuous progress. The findings suggest that an increased focus should be placed on local and regional public policies and governmental funding to increase collaboration between all entities involved in the innovation process and contribute to more innovative regions
Why leadership fails? Few causes for why good leaders do bad things:
The six factors considered for achieving success in leadership are clarity, role modeling, achievability, commitment, transparency and openness. The article analyzes the factors that generate a failure of leadership, even for the so-called widely renewed good leaders, precisely the behavior causes and developments that lead to failure and not their acquiring process. The chosen target population is represented by the leaders ruling large organizations, which need an integrated vision to produce effective leadership.
The perspective will have a theoretical basis but also an empirical one. The quantitative part relies on a survey conducted among leaders for three different industries (pharmaceutical, IT and telecom). They were asked questions regarding the causes, which produce leadership failure and finally produce misconduct and breaches of the compliance rules and regulations. In addition, the survey asked the participants to develop their proposals for preventing leadership failure. It was established the importance of the tone from the top, leading by example, a clear mechanism for checking the health of the organization from a leadership perspective. The article will also show that the way to prevent leadership failure and avoid behaviors that lead to misconduct is a permanent journey
