OS “EXCLUÍDOS DA CULTURA”: : Contradições da Divulgação da Ciência em Museus
Get PDFThis research investigated the institutional view of outsourced employees in the scientific dissemination practices of the Museum of Astronomy and Related Sciences (MAST). From the category of outsider within, by Patricia Hill Collins, we debate how these workers are made invisible in the workplace by the nature of their functions and by the social relations that produce exclusions and hierarchy. By observing a practice of non-inclusive scientific dissemination, we see in this a reinforcement of the process of invisibility found in MAST. We emphasize, however, that this does not inhibit the production of their own senses and meanings about the museum by these workers, revealing different perspectives on the institution and how it is seen in its scientific and social dimension.Esta pesquisa investigou a visão institucional dos funcionários terceirizados nas práticas de divulgação científica do Museu de Astronomia e Ciências Afins (MAST). A partir da categoria de outsider within, de Patricia Hill Collins, debatemos como esses trabalhadores são tornados invisíveis nos espaços de trabalho pela natureza de suas funções e pelas relações sociais que produzem exclusões e hierarquia. Ao observar uma prática de divulgação científica não inclusiva, vemos nisto um reforço do processo de invisibilidade encontrado no MAST. Ressaltamos, contudo, que isso não inibe a produção de sentidos e significados próprios sobre o museu por parte desses trabalhadores, revelando diferentes perspectivas sobre a instituição e como ela é enxergada em sua dimensão científica e social
MEMÓRIA (AUTO)BIOGRÁFICA E MEMÓRIA HISTÓRICA: O Acervo Maria da Glória Sá Rosa
Get PDFRésumé : Inauguré en 2019, le Fonds d’Archives Maria da Glória Sá Rosa, situé à l’Université de l’État de Mato Grosso do Sul (UEMS), dans la capitale Campo Grande, est un lieu de mémoire avec des livres, revues, journaux intimes, matériels audiovisuels, ainsi que des objets personnels du mythique appartement de Rosa. Cet article a pour but de tracer la subjectivité de Rosa, dans le but majeur de mettre en rapport son (auto)biographie et l’histoire de Mato Grosso do Sul, prônant l’indissociabilité entre sa mémoire (auto)biographique et la mémoire historique de cet état brésilien, et l’importance de ce facteur pour la constitution du fonds d’archives consacré à son héritage. Deux principaux aspects nous guident dans ce parcours : le fonds d’archives en tant que collection et la mémoire en tant qu’instance dialectique du temps vécu et du temps historique.

Inaugurado em 2019, o Acervo Maria da Glória Sá Rosa, situado na Unidade de Campo Grande da Universidade Estadual de Mato Grosso do Sul (UEMS), é um lugar de memória com livros, revistas, diários e materiais audiovisuais, além de objetos pessoais da residência de Rosa. Neste artigo, buscamos compor um quadro da subjetividade de Rosa, com o propósito precípuo de relacionarmos sua (auto)biografia na confluência com a história de Mato Grosso do Sul, assumindo a indissociabilidade entre a memória (auto)biográfica de Glorinha e a memória histórica desse estado brasileiro, e a importância desse fator para a constituição do Acervo. Dois aspectos orientam este percurso: o acervo como coleção e a memória como instância dialética do tempo vivido e do tempo histórico.

O REVERSO DE COASE:: CUSTOS E INCENTIVOS NA APURAÇÃO DE HAVERES DIANTE DA DISSOLUÇÃO PARCIAL DA SOCIEDADE EMPRESÁRIA
No full textRonald Coase’s “The Nature of the Firm”, as a guide to the constitution of firms, disregards the partners’ will as a relevant cost for their maintenance. This article, using a qualitative approach and a deductive methodology, examines the influence of legislation and decisions as costs or incentives for either the continuation or the dissolution of the firm. The holding of REsp. No. 1.877.331/SP, which established the use of the determination balance, is analyzed, bringing the position in line with Arts. 1.031, CC, and 606, CPC. Thus, all the hypotheses of partial dissolution of the companies imply the use of the same method for calculating the assets in the absence of the articles of association. It is argued, though, that this rule does not correspond to all circumstances and creates additional costs and incentives for the partners to leave the company.
A Natureza da Firma, de Ronald Coase, ao orientar a constituição das empresas, considera a vontade dos sócios dentre os custos à sua existência e manutenção. Assim, o artigo, adotando uma abordagem qualitativa e metodologia dedutiva, examina a influência da legislação e das decisões como custo ou incentivo para a continuidade e/ou dissolução da empresa. Analisa-se o julgamento do REsp. nº 1.877.331/SP, que afirmou a utilização do balanço de determinação, alinhando o posicionamento com os arts. 1.031, CC e 606, CPC. Portanto, diante da omissão do contrato social, todas as hipóteses de dissolução parcial da sociedade implicam na mesma metodologia de cálculo na apuração de haveres. VELHOS NOVOS DESAFIOS PARA O PENSAMENTO LIBERAL
Get PDFThe traditional liberal thought is based on the prevalence of individual rights and projects over collective ones, and on capitalist economy of free enterprise over state models. Historically, liberalism reformed the Ancien Régime, rivaling with conservatism and later collaborating with social democracy. The fall of the Berlin Wall was seen as the definitive victory of liberalism and capitalism, but this trajectory did not remain linear. Today, capitalism is widely accepted as the best wealth production system, but it faces new challenges stemming from globalization and exponential technologies. The unlimited diffusion of scientific knowledge, essential for modernization, now also presents threats, such as the use of weapons of mass destruction. Examples include Kim Jong-un's North Korea and the potential proliferation of such knowledge through artificial intelligence, questioning how to control these advances without limiting science. Additionally, corporate giants like Google and Amazon possess power comparable to states, threatening privacy and individual freedoms. Liberal thought must then revisit its foundations to face new challenges, including the concentration of economic power and the need for global anti-trust regulations. This requires deep reflection on how to preserve entrepreneurial freedom while avoiding corporate tyranny, akin to the state control described by Orwell in "1984". Liberalism needs a new global vision, possibly inspired by the idea of a Constitution of the Earth based on the division of powers and federalism, to remain relevant and innovative in the 21st century.O pensamento liberal tradicional baseia-se na prevalência dos direitos e projetos individuais sobre os coletivos, e na economia capitalista de livre iniciativa sobre modelos estatais. Historicamente, o liberalismo reformou o Ancien Régime, rivalizando com o conservadorismo e, mais tarde, colaborando com a social-democracia. A queda do Muro de Berlim foi vista como a vitória definitiva do liberalismo e do capitalismo, mas essa trajetória não se manteve linear. Hoje, o capitalismo é amplamente aceito como o melhor sistema de produção de riqueza, mas enfrenta novos desafios decorrentes da globalização e das tecnologias exponenciais. A difusão ilimitada do conhecimento científico, essencial para a modernização, agora também apresenta ameaças, como o uso de armas de destruição em massa. Exemplos incluem a Coreia do Norte de Kim Jong-un e a proliferação potencial de tais conhecimentos através da inteligência artificial, questionando como controlar esses avanços sem limitar a ciência. Além disso, gigantes corporativos como Google e Amazon possuem um poder comparável ao de estados, ameaçando a privacidade e as liberdades individuais. O pensamento liberal deve então revisitar seus fundamentos para enfrentar novos desafios, incluindo a concentração de poder econômico e a necessidade de regulamentações globais anti-truste. Isso exige uma reflexão profunda sobre como preservar a liberdade de empreendimento enquanto se evita a tirania corporativa, comparável ao controle estatal descrito por Orwell em "1984". O liberalismo precisa de uma nova visão global, possivelmente inspirada na ideia de uma Constituição da Terra baseada na divisão de poderes e no federalismo, para continuar relevante e inovador no século XXI.
 
“A CONTEMPLAR EMULDECIDA AS REFULGENTES HISTÓRIAS DE SEU PASSADO DE TRIUNFOS”: : Luiz José da Costa Filho e o anjo lacrimoso da História (1907-1917)

This article seeks to analyze the historiographical achievements of Luiz José da Costa Filho throughout the first two decades of the 20th century, through texts published in newspapers in Aracaju between 1907 and 1917. The intellectual contributed by proposing an articulated conception of history with the actions and demands arising from experiences on national soil. A task that implied not only the contemplation of the remains of the past, but, notably, the exercise of finding meaning in the ordering of the past and in problematizing the condition of heritage.

O presente artigo busca analisar os fazeres historiográficos de Luiz José da Costa Filho ao longo dos dois primeiros decênios do século XX, por meio dos textos publicados em jornais aracajuanos entre os anos de 1907 e 1917. O intelectual contribuiu ao propor uma concepção de história articulada com os fazeres e com as demandas oriundas das experiências vivenciadas em solo nacional. Um fazer que implicava não somente na contemplação dos resquícios do passado, mas, notadamente, no exercício de encontrar sentido na ordenação do passado e na problematização acerca da condição do patrimônio.

The purpose of the study is primarily framed by the fact that it is the first attempt to jointly analyze the Giselle ballet and the paintings by C. Friedrich, and to provide their comprehensive description from a standpoint of mystical beauty reflected in Romanticism trend in art in the 19th century.
The author highlights the innovations originating in the ballet theatre and the pictorial art of the period, which landed a natural balance in the spatial organization principles between all components of performance and painting. It is shown that they cooperate at the junction of a figurative romantic idea as a powerful psychological tool
SERVIÇO SOCIAL E PRODUÇÃO DO CONHECIMENTO: QUAL O LUGAR DO DEBATE DAS RELAÇÕES ÉTNICO-RACIAIS?
Get PDFThe aim of this article is to elucidate the debate on the production of knowledge on ethnic-racial relations in postgraduate studies in Social Work, expressed in dissertations and theses from 2013-2022. To do this, we mobilized the debate based on exploratory qualitative research, using bibliographic and documentary sources. We present a brief discussion in order to situate the Brazilian Social Service as a profession and area of knowledge and we advance in some mediations around the agenda of ethnic-racial relations as an object of research. As a summary, we conclude that although it is still in its infancy in relation to the totality of productions in the area, the present time sums up central inflections within the profession and in the production of knowledge on the subject, but still incurs major investigative challenges, such as the theoretical-methodological trends that have informed such productions.O presente artigo tem por objetivo elucidar o debate da produção do conhecimento acerca das relações étnico-raciais no âmbito da pós-graduação na área do Serviço Social, expresso nas dissertações e teses no período de 2013-2022. Para isso, mobilizamos o debate a partir da pesquisa qualitativa de caráter exploratório, recorrendo a fontes bibliográficas e documentais. Apresentamos, uma breve discussão a fim de situar o Serviço Social brasileiro como profissão e área do conhecimento e avançamos em algumas mediações em torno da agenda das relações étnico-raciais enquanto objeto de pesquisa. Em caráter de sínteses, concluímos que embora ainda incipiente em relação à totalidade das produções na área, o tempo presente sumárias inflexões centrais no âmbito da profissão e na produção do conhecimento acerca da matéria, ainda, incorre desafios investigativos de monta, a exemplo das tendências teórico-metodológicas que têm informado tais produções.
