    Upaya Pencegahan Penyakit Degeneratif Melalui Edukasi Pola Hidup Sehat dan Pemeriksaan Kesehatan Gratis

    Masyarakat Kelurahan Bandarharjo merupakan kelompok masyarakat dengan mayoritas berada pada golongan ekonomi menengah kebawah yang umumnya kurang mendapat perhatian. Permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh warga Kelurahan Bandarharjo adalah tidak pernah melakukan dan kurangnya fasilitas kesehatan untuk melakukan pemeriksaan kesehatan rutin. Kurangnya pemeriksaan rutin dapat menyebabkan timbulnya penyakit pada warga. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengedukasi masyarakat Bandarharjo mengenai pentingnya edukasi menjaga pola hidup sehat untuk pencegahan timbulnya penyakit degeneratif. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dalam bentuk penyuluhan dan pemeriksaan kesehatan gratis dengan metode POCT. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat antusias dengan kegiatan penyuluhan dan mendapatkan informasi kesehatan mengenai kadar glukosa dan asam urat dalam darah. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan pengabdian yang dilakukan telah memberikan manfaat dengan penyediaan informasi kesehatan jasmani pribadi bagi masyarakat Kelurahan Bandarharjo

    ABSTRACT Anemia is a pressing health problem worldwide, especially in developing countries like Indonesia. This condition occurs when the hemoglobin (Hb) level in the blood is below normal, disrupting the oxygen transport process to body tissues. The aim was to determine the effect of giving purple sweet potato onde-onde on increasing hemoglobin in students of SMA 1 Liwa, West Lampung 2025 who suffer from anemia. This study used a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group design. The subjects were 60 female adolescents suffering from anemia at SMA 1 Liwa, West Lampung 2025 who were divided into treatment and comparison groups. The treatment group was given purple sweet potato onde-onde twice a day, each time giving 60 grams for 10 consecutive days. The data collected included hemoglobin levels, macronutrient intake, and iron, and were analyzed using appropriate statistical tests. Results The average hemoglobin level before treatment was 10.85 g/dl and after treatment was 11.94 g/dl with an average decrease of 1.090 g/dl. The results of the paired t-test showed a p-value of 0.001 (<0.05) which indicates that there is an effect of giving purple sweet potato onde-onde filled with chicken liver with the addition of green bean flour on increasing hemoglobin levels in students of SMA 1 Liwa, West Lampung 2025 who suffer from anemia. There is an effect of giving purple sweet potato onde-onde on increasing hemoglobin in students of SMA 1 Liwa, West Lampung 2025 who suffer from anemia.   ABSTRAK Anemia merupakan salah satu permasalahan kesehatan yang bersifat mendesak di seluruh dunia, khususnya di negara-negara berkembang seperti Indonesia. Kondisi ini terjadi ketika kadar hemoglobin (Hb) dalam darah berada di bawah nilai normal, sehingga proses transportasi oksigen ke jaringan tubuh menjadi terganggu. Tujuan mengetahui pengaruh pemberian onde-onde ubi ungu terhadap peningkatan hemoglobin pada siswa SMA 1 Liwa Lampung Barat 2025 yang menderita anemia. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain quasi experiment dengan pretest-posttest control group design. Subjek penelitian adalah 60 remaja putri yang menderita anemia di SMA SMA 1 Liwa Lampung Barat 2025 yang dibagi menjadi kelompok perlakuan dan pembanding. Kelompok perlakuan diberikan onde-onde ubi ungu 2 kali sehari, setiap kali pemberian sebanyak 60 gr diberikan selama 10 hari secara berturut-turut. Data yang dikumpulkan meliputi hasil kadar hemoglobin, asupan zat gizi makro, dan fe, serta dianalisis menggunakan uji statistik yang sesuai. Hasil Rata-rata kadar hemoglobin sebelum perlakuan sebesar  10,85 g/dl dan sesudah perlakuan sebesar 11,94 g/dl dengan rata-rata penurunan sebesar 1,090 g/dl. Hasil uji paired t-test menunjukkan nilai p-value 0.001 (<0.05) yang menunjukkan ada pengaruh pemberian onde-onde onde-onde ubi ungu isi hati ayam dengam penambahan tepung kacang hijau terhadap peningkatan kadar hemoglobin pada siswa SMA 1 Liwa Lampung Barat 2025 yang menderita anemia.     Pentingnya Indikator Satuan Epidmiolog Dalam Rangka Kebijakan Pada Pencegahan Kejadian Stunting

    Stunting adalah masalah kesehatan global yang sangat berdampak pada kualitas sumber daya manusia di masa depan, terutama di Indonesia. Meskipun berbagai kebijakan telah diterapkan untuk mengurangi prevalensi stunting, angka stunting masih tinggi, menunjukkan perlunya evaluasi lebih lanjut terhadap efektivitas kebijakan tersebut. Artikel ini membahas pentingnya penggunaan indikator satuan epidemiologi, seperti prevalensi stunting, angka kematian bayi, cakupan imunisasi, dan sanitasi, dalam memantau dan merancang kebijakan pencegahan stunting yang lebih efektif. Indikator ini memberikan gambaran yang lebih jelas tentang faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi keberhasilan kebijakan, serta mendukung pengambilan keputusan yang berbasis data. Selain itu, pendidikan kesehatan juga memiliki peranan penting dalam upaya pencegahan stunting, terutama melalui program penyuluhan yang berkelanjutan untuk masyarakat, khususnya ibu hamil dan ibu menyusui. Program penyuluhan yang efektif dapat meningkatkan kesadaran tentang pentingnya gizi seimbang dan pengasuhan yang baik selama 1000 Hari Pertama Kehidupan. Melalui pendekatan multisektoral yang melibatkan sektor kesehatan, pendidikan, dan sosial, serta penguatan peran kader kesehatan, diharapkan prevalensi stunting dapat menurun secara signifikan. Artikel ini juga merekomendasikan pemanfaatan teknologi untuk memperluas jangkauan pendidikan kesehatan dan melakukan evaluasi kebijakan secara berkala untuk menyesuaikan dengan temuan di lapangan

    The Relationship of Working Period and Awards with The Caring Behavior of Nurses

    Caring behavior involves actions rooted in concern, compassion, skill, empathy, responsibility, sensitivity, and support. Previous studies have indicated that many nurses do not exhibit caring behavior, which is influenced by various factors. Research at RSUD Abdul Moeloek revealed that care was primarily focused on physical ailments, with limited nurse presence and inadequate psychological support for patients. Among the 10 respondents, 75% noted that nurses did not display caring behaviors, such as presence, touch, listening, and understanding, while 25% did. This study aims to examine the relationship between work experience and awards with the caring behavior of nurses in the Internal Medicine ward at RSUD Dr. H. Abdul Moeloek, Lampung. Conducted from March to April 2024, this quantitative research used a descriptive-analytic design with a cross-sectional approach. A total of 33 respondents were selected through total sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires completed by respondents and researchers. The relationship between independent and dependent variables was tested using the Chi-square test, with univariate and bivariate analysis. Results showed a significant relationship between work experience (p-value=0.007, OR=19.429) and awards (p-value=0.003, OR=13.750) and nurses' caring behavior. It is recommended that the hospital enhance service quality, especially through training, to improve nurses' caring and friendliness towards patients

    Community Readiness in Utilization of Android Application (mHealth) for Increasing Healthy Family Index

    SIPISPeKa G-2 was introduced as an innovative mHealth solution to bridge this gap by enabling real-time communication between families and health workers. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the SIPISPeKa G-2 mHealth application in improving the Healthy Family Index (IKS) in the work area of Kotabumi 2 Health Center, North Lampung. The quasi-experimental pre-test and post-test design was carried out on 150 families who were categorized as unhealthy based on 12 IKS indicators. The study was conducted from February to November, with a trial period of 3 months. Sampling using the Multi-Stage method, the results showed a significant increase in the Healthy Family Index (IKS) from an IKS value of 0.64 to 0.79 (p < 0.05). The most widely accessed services were smoking cessation services (29.01%), National Health Insurance 16.41%), and hypertension (16.03%). However, 16.03% of consultations were deemed irrelevant, indicating the need for further education.     Identification of Determining Factors of Stunting Prevalence

    Stunting is a chronic nutritional problem characterized by a toddler's height being below the standard for their age. This condition has long-term impacts on a child’s physical and cognitive development, as well as future productivity. This study was conducted to identify the determinant factors of stunting prevalence in Gunung Lurah Village, Cilongok Subdistrict, Central Java Province, Indonesia. The study employed a case-control design with a descriptive-analytic approach. The instruments used included the Kesehatan Ibu dan Anak book and questionnaires. The population in this study consisted of all mothers with toddlers in Gunung Lurah Village, totaling 648 individuals. The sample included mothers with stunted toddlers, totaling 43 (case group), and mothers with non-stunted toddlers, also totaling 43 (control group), with a 1:1 matching ratio, meaning the number of samples in the control group was equal to that in the case group. Bivariate analysis was conducted using the Chi-Square test, while multivariate analysis employed multiple logistic regression. The Chi-Square test results indicated that five out of nine factors studied had a significant association with stunting (p<0.05), namely parental knowledge (p=0.014), parenting style (p=0.004), exclusive breastfeeding (p=0.030), low birth weight (p=0.012), and socio-economic factors (p=0.001). The multiple logistic regression analysis revealed that socio-economic factors were the most significant determinant of stunting (p=0.001). This study concludes that socio-economic status is the main factor influencing the incidence of stunting. These findings are expected to serve as a basis for designing more effective programs to prevent stunting at the village level

    Association between Access to Clean Water and Health Services and the Incidence of Stunting in Sungai Landas Village, Banjar District, South Kalimantan

    Stunting among infants and toddlers in Sungai Landas Village, Banjar Regency, remains above the national target. Access to clean water and healthcare services plays a crucial role in preventing stunting, but the relationship between these two factors in this area has not yet been studied simultaneously. The study aim to analyze the association between access to clean water and access to healthcare services with the incidence of stunting among children under five in Sungai Landas Village. A quantitative cross-sectional study was conducted involving 30 children under five selected through purposive sampling. Data were obtained using an adapted Indonesian Nutritional Status Survey (SSGI) questionnaire, which assessed water source quality and the frequency of access to healthcare services. Stunting status was determined by measuring height-for-age according to Regulation of the Minister of Health No. 2 of 2020. Bivariate analysis was run with Fisher’s Exact test to assess the association between access to clean water and healthcare services and stunting incidence. Bivariate analysis revealed no significant association between access to clean water and stunting (p = 0.267), nor between access to healthcare services and stunting (p = 0.469). There is no significant association between the type of drinking water source or the frequency of healthcare service access and stunting among children under five in Sungai Landas Village. Other factors, such as a balanced diet and hygienic practices, also play a role. Recommendations include strengthening education on water treatment and family nutrition, improving the quality of healthcare services, and implementing multisectoral programs for more effective stunting reduction

    Upaya Pencegahan Penyakit Degeneratif melalui Pengendalian Kadar Kolesterol di Desa Srimenanti, Bandar Sribawono, Lampung Timur

    Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bermitra dengan Majlis Taklim Al-Huda di Desa Srimenanti, Kecamatan Bandar Sribawono, Lampung Timur. Kegiatan ini merupakan lanjutan dari Pengabdian masyarakat tahun 2023. Hasil dari kegiatan pada tahun 2023 menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak 69.2% peserta skrining mengalami hipertensi. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian lanjutan ini untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap faktor risiko, pengobatan, serta pentingnya pengendalian hipertensi melalui pemantauan kadar kolesterol. Kegiatan berlangsung bulan Mei-Agustus 2024, yang diikuti oleh 50 orang anggota Majlis Taklim. Metode yang dilakukan meliputi skrining kadar kolesterol tahap awal, edukasi kesehatan, skrining tahap lanjutan, pemberian alat cek kolesterol, serta pelatihan penggunaannya. Hasil skrining awal sebelum dilakukan edukasi, menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata kadar kolesterol mitra tergolong tidak normal yaitu sebesar 224 mg/dL. Sebanyak 66% responden memiliki kadar kolesterol tidak normal dan 34% dengan kategori normal. Terjadi peningkatan pemahaman dan pengetahuan terhadap penyakit hipertensi, dari nilai 14% menjadi 86% setelah dilakukan edukasi dan penyuluhan. Pada skrining tahap lanjutan, terjadi penurunan persentase peserta dengan kadar kolesterol tidak normal, yaitu menjadi 19%, dan 62% memiliki kadar normal. Kegiatan ini terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman dan kesadaran masyarakat akan pentingnya menjaga pola makan untuk mencegah hipertensi. Program ini juga berpotensi menjadi pemicu keterlibatan aktif masyarakat dalam menjaga kualitas hidup yang lebih baik

    Kajian Pembuatan Cupcake dengan Penambahan Tepung Bayam Merah dan Tepung Ikan Teri sebagai Alternatif Makanan Selingan Tinggi Zat Besi dan Kalsium bagi Ibu Hamil

    Cupcake merupakan salah satu makanan selingan yang banyak disukai oleh masyarakat, baik anak-anak hingga dewasa. Produk cupcake yang dikonsumsi saat ini masih memiliki kandungan gizi terbatas, sehingga perlu ditambahkan beberapa pangan lain untuk meningkatkan nilai gizi cupcake. Nilai gizi cupcake dapat ditingkatkan dengan penambahan tepung bayam merah dan tepung ikan teri yang mempunyai kandungan zat besi dan kalsium yang cukup tinggi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui sifat organoleptik (warna, rasa, aroma, tekstur dan penerimaan keseluruhan) serta kandungan zat besi dari cupcake dengan penambahan tepung bayam merah dan tepung ikan teri yang paling disukai. Metode yang digunakan berupa deskriptif dengan satu kali pengulangan dalam pembuatan produknya. Penelitian ini menggunakan 2 faktor, faktor pertama yaitu penambahan tepung bayam merah dengan konsentrasi 8%, 12%, 16%, dan 20%, faktor kedua yaitu penambahan tepung ikan teri dengan konsentrasi 8%, 12%, 16% dan 20%. Uji organoleptik menggunakan metode uji hedonik, kemudian dilanjutkan uji kadar zat besi dengan metode Plasma Terpasang Secara Induktif Spektrometri Massa (ICP – MS), kandungan zat gizi menggunakan TKPI 2020, dan foodcost pada cupcake yang paling disukai.  Berdasarkan uji organoleptik didapatkan hasil cupcake dengan penambahan tepung bayam merah dan tepung ikan teri yang paling disukai yaitu formula 1 dengan penambahan tepung bayam merah dan tepung ikan teri sebanyak 8%. Hasil analisis zat besi cupcake dengan penambahan tepung bayam merah dan tepung ikan teri dengan menggunakan TKPI yaitu sebesar 1,28 mg, sedangkan berdasarkan uji laboratorium kadar zat besi didapatkan sebesar 8,7 mg. Perlu dilakukan uji umur simpan untuk mengetahui berapa lama produk cupcake bisa dikonsumsi dengan baik. Dan pada saat pencampuran mentega cair kedalam adonan harus dipastikan tercampur dengan rata karena jika tidak tercampur rata maka cupcake tidak mengembang dengan sempurna

    Airborne Microbial Assessment and Its Implication for Laboratory Safety

    The impact of airborne microbes on laboratory workers is substantial, as exposure to elevated bioaerosol concentrations can lead to respiratory illnesses, allergic sensitization, and an increased risk of laboratory-acquired infections. The air quality in microbiological laboratories is therefore a critical component of occupational health and safety. Previous studies have shown that microbial levels in educational laboratories frequently exceed international and national guidelines. Despite increasing recognition of the importance of indoor air quality, limited data are available on microbiological laboratory conditions outside Java, particularly in South Kalimantan. This study employed a descriptive, cross-sectional, observational design using the midget impinger method to collect air samples at two sampling points in each laboratory before and after ventilation activation, resulting in a total of 12 samples. Airborne bacterial counts were used to quantify microbial load, while temperature and relative humidity were simultaneously measured. Data were analyzed descriptively, and pre–post ventilation differences were assessed using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank test. All microbial loads remained below the WHO (500CFU/m³) and Ministry of Health Republic Indonesia (700CFU/m³) thresholds. Three laboratories which relied solely on natural ventilation, exhibited the highest microbial counts, whereas laboratories with mechanical ventilation showed consistently lower levels. Although no significant differences were observed between pre-post ventilation conditions, naturally ventilated spaces tended to show higher microbial loads. Overall, airborne microbial levels and environmental parameters across the three laboratories remained within acceptable limits. However, higher humidity was associated with higher microbial concentrations, underscoring the importance of maintaining indoor environmental conditions within recommended ranges to ensure laboratory safety
