Measurement of inclusive very forward jet cross sections in proton-lead collisions at √sNN = 5.02 TeV
Measurements of di ff erential cross sections for inclusive very forward jet production in proton-lead collisions as a function of jet energy are presented. The data were collected with the CMS experiment at the LHC in the laboratory pseudorapidity range 6 : 6 < < 5 : 2. Asymmetric beam energies of 4TeV for protons and 1.58TeV per nucleon for Pb nuclei were used, corresponding to a center-of-mass energy per nucleon pair of p sNN = 5 : 02TeV. Collisions with either the proton (p+ Pb) or the ion (Pb+ p) traveling towards the negative hemisphere are studied. The jet cross sections are unfolded to stable-particle level cross sections with pT & 3 GeV, and compared to predictions from various Monte Carlo event generators. In addition, the cross section ratio of p+ Pb and Pb+ p data is presented. The results are discussed in terms of the saturation of gluon densities at low fractional parton momenta. None of the models under consideration describes all the data over the full jet-energy range and for all beam con fi gurations. Discrepancies between the di ff erential cross sections in data and model predictions of more than two orders of magnitude are observed
Structural change and output volatility reduction in OECD countries: evidence of the Second Great Moderation
In this article, we provide new, novel evidence for a more recent structural break (in 2010) indicating a greater moderation of output volatility compared to the well-known break during the mid-1980s. The period of analysis runs from 1962Q2 to 2018Q3. It covers 26 OECD countries. In terms of methodology, it has mainly been used as the measures of conditional and unconditional volatility and procedures of structural break detection (Inclan–Tiao test and autoregressive conditional heteroscedasticity model). As a result, it has been found that output greatly stabilized following the structural break at 2010Q1 in the post-era of 2008/09 global financial crisis. Moreover, output stabilization is robustly evident for 24 (out of 26) OECD countries. From a political standpoint, it is implied that the Keynesian view may be influential in this moderation. Government expenditures and fiscal programs, regulations of financial markets against the sub-prime lending and limitations to trade of mortgage-backed securities might have been the main driver of stability. Rapid improvement of digitalization and technical productivity may be regarded as another relevant reason that might have contributed to the stabilization process. © 2019, The Author(s)
Measurement of the t t ¯ production cross section, the top quark mass, and the strong coupling constant using dilepton events in pp collisions at √s=13Te
PubMed: 31148943A measurement of the top quark-antiquark pair production cross section sigma(t (t) over bar) in proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV is presented. The data correspond to an integrated luminosity of 35.9 fb(-1), recorded by the CMS experiment at the CERN LHC in 2016. Dilepton events (e(+/-) mu(-/+), mu(+) mu(-), e(+) e(-)) are selected and the cross section is measured from a likelihood fit. For a top quark mass parameter in the simulation of m(t)(MC) = 172.5 GeV the fit yields a measured cross section sigma(t (t) over bar) = 803 +/- 2 (stat) +/- 25 (syst) +/- 20 (lumi) pb, in agreement with the expectation from the standard model calculation at next-to-next-to-leading order. A simultaneous fit of the cross section and the top quark mass parameter in the POWHEG simulation is performed. The measured value of m(t)(MC) = 172.33 +/- 0.14 (stat)(-0.72)(+0.66) (syst) GeV is in good agreement with previous measurements. The resulting cross section is used, together with the theoretical prediction, to determine the top quark mass and to extract a value of the strong coupling constant with different sets of parton distribution functions
Measurement of the top quark Yukawa coupling from t¯t kinematic distributions in the lepton + jets final state in proton-proton collisions at √s=13 TeV
Results are presented for an extraction of the top quark Yukawa coupling from top quark-antiquark (t (t) over bar) kinematic distributions in the lepton plus jets final state in proton-proton collisions, based on data collected by the CMS experiment at the LHC at root s = 13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 35.8 fb(-1). Corrections from weak boson exchange, including Higgs bosons, between the top quarks can produce large distortions of differential distributions near the energy threshold of t (t) over bar production. Therefore, precise measurements of these distributions are sensitive to the Yukawa coupling. Top quark events are reconstructed with at least three jets in the final state, and a novel technique is introduced to reconstruct the t (t) over bar system for events with one missing jet. This technique enhances the experimental sensitivity in the low invariant mass region, M-t (t) over bar. The data yields in M-t (t) over bar, the rapidity difference vertical bar y(t) - y((t) over bar)vertical bar, and the number of reconstructed jets are compared with distributions representing different Yukawa couplings. These comparisons are used to measure the ratio of the top quark Yukawa coupling to its standard model predicted value to be 1.07(-0.43)(+0.34) with an upper limit of 1.67 at the 95% confidence level
Multiparticle correlations and higher order harmonics in pPb collisions at √s(NN)=8.16 TeV
The elliptic and higher-order azimuthal anisotropy Fourier harmonics (v(n)) are obtained for pPb collisions at root s(NN) = 8.16 TeV over a wide range of event multiplicities based on multiparticle correlations. The data were collected by the CMS experiment during the 2016 LHC run. A sample of peripheral PbPb collisions at root s(NN) = 5.02 TeV covering a similar range of event multiplicities to the pPb results is also analyzed for comparison. The ratios of different harmonic moments are obtained for both v(2) and v(3) with high precision, which allows a direct comparison to theoretical predictions assuming a hydrodynamic evolution of the created medium with initial-state density fluctuations, particularly probing the non-Gaussian nature of initial-state fluctuations in small collision systems. The presented results provide crucial insights into the origin of collective long-range correlations observed in small collision systems
Hücre yapışma molekülleri içeren peptid hidrojeller

(KLEL), KLDVKLDVKLDV (KLDV), KLDVKLDVKLKV (KLKV1),
KLKVKLDVKLKV (KLKV2), KLKVKLKVKLKV (KLKV3) were synthesized using
solid phase peptide synthesis (SPPS) method based on Fmoc chemistry. Reverse phase
HPLC and MALDI-TOF mass spectroscopy characterization methods were used to assess
the purity of the peptides. Three different synthesis procedures were tested, and it was
found that employing DMF:DMSO at 1:1 ratio as a solvent increased purity of the
resultant peptide. FTIR results indicated the presence of expected β-sheet secondary
structure, as well as an interference band from TFA salts for all of the peptides. All the
peptides formed hydrogels at pH 7.4 with 1 wt% concentration in deionized water (DIW).
AFM results of these hydrogels indicated that KLKV1 and KLKV2 had fibrous
morphology with a width of 5-20 nm and 7-18 nm respectively. KLDV and KLKV3
peptide hydrogels, on the other hand, exhibited globular structures, having sizes with
15-50 nm and 8-15 nm, respectively. Storage moduli (G’) of these hydrogels in DIW were
obtained as ~860 ± 150 Pa, ~260 ± 60 Pa, ~210 ± 30 Pa and ~1850 ± 200 Pa for KLDV,
KLKV1, KLKV2 and KLKV3 respectively. Of these peptides, only HCl salt of KLDV
and KLKV1 peptides more readily formed hydrogels in PBS but at 1.5 wt%
concentration. G’ values of these KLDV and KLKV1 hydrogels were determined as
~1810 ± 850 Pa and ~700 ± 230 Pa, respectively. Cell proliferation tests (CCK-8 assay)
of KLDV and KLKV1 hydrogels were performed by using L929 mouse fibroblast cells.
Empty wells (TCPS) were used as a control group. Cell proliferation was observed to be
comparable for both select hydrogels and empty wells, suggesting possible applications
of these hydrogels in tissue engineering.Bu çalışmada KLELKLELKLEL (KLEL), KLDVKLDVKLDV (KLDV),
KLDVKLDVKLKV (KLKV1), KLKVKLDVKLKV (KLKV2), KLKVKLKVKLKV
(KLKV3) dizinleri ve kısaltmalarına sahip peptidler, f-moc kimyası temelli katı faz peptid
sentez yöntemi (SPPS) kullanılarak sentezlenmiştir. Peptidlerin saflığını değerlendirmek
için ters faz HPLC ve MALDI-TOF kütle spektroskopisi karakterizasyon yöntemleri
kullanılmıştır. 3 farklı sentez prosedürü test edilmiştir ve çözgen olarak 1:1 oranda
DMF:DMSO kullanılmasının, elde edilen peptidin saflığını artırdığı bulunmuştur. FTIR
sonuçları, tüm peptidler için beklenen β-sheet ikincil yapısıyla birlikte, TFA tuzlarından
gelen girişim bandını göstermiştir. Bütün peptidler, ağırlıkça 1% derişim, pH 7.4 ve
deiyonize su içerisinde hidrojel oluşturmuştur. Bu hidrojellerin AFM sonuçları, KLKV1
ve KLKV2’nin, sırasıyla 5-20 nm ve 7-18 nm genişlikte lifli morfolojiye sahip olduğunu
göstermiştir. Diğer taraftan, KLDV ve KLKV3 peptid hidrojelleri, sırasıyla, 15-50 nm ve
8-15 nm boyutları arasında küresel yapılar sergilemiştir. Deiyonize suda hazırlanan bu
hidrojellerin, saklama modülleri, KLDV, KLKV1, KLKV2 ve KLKV3 için, sırasıyla,
~860 ± 150 Pa, ~260 ± 60 Pa, ~210 ± 30 Pa ve ~1850 ± 200 Pa olarak elde edilmiştir. Bu
peptidlerden, sadece KLDV ve KLKV1 peptidlerinin HCl tuzları, PBS içerisinde,
ağırlıkça 1.5% derişimde hidrojel oluşturmuştur. Bu KLDV ve KLKV1 hidrojellerinin G’
değerleri, sırasıyla ~1810 ± 850 Pa ve ~700 ± 230 Pa olarak belirlenmiştir. KLDV ve
KLKV1 hidrojellerinin hücre çoğalma testleri (CCK-8 analizi) L929 fare fibroblast
hücreleri kullanılarak yapılmıştır. Boş kuyucuklar (TCPS) control grubu olarak
kullanılmıştır. Her iki seçilmiş hidrojel ve boş kuyucuklar için hücre çoğalması
karşılaştırabilir olarak gözlenmiş ve sonuç olarak bu hidrojellerin doku mühendisliğinde
muhtemel uygulamaları olabileceğini önermektedir
Test durum önceliklendirmesinde kümeleme kullanımının etkililiği

As software evolves, previous test cases need to be re-executed to make sure that there is no new bugs introduced and nothing is broken in the existing behaviours. However, re-execution of all test cases could be expensive. That is why, test case prioritization method can be used to detect faults earlier by prioritizing the test cases which could have the higher possibility than others to find faults. Studying different approaches, implementing different techniques or putting these techniques to test on different programs could make it easier to answer which technique should be used for which kind of programs or faults. We address this issue, focusing on selecting different test case prioritization approaches and calculating the average fault detection ratios of prioritized test suites. As a novelty, we propose to perform an optimization algorithm on one of the approaches called `Clustering` to increase its efficiency. To do that, our main objective is determined as maximizing the distance between each clusters by using the coverage information. The distance is measured as the difference of covered functions of test cases in a test suite. In the end, this study will give a hint about selection of test case prioritization technique to be used by checking the empirical results of the experiments.Yazılım testi, yazılım geliştirme döngüsünün en önemli süreçlerinden birisidir. Çünkü, yazılım büyüdükçe, yeni hatalar ortaya çıkarılmadığından ve çalışan hiçbir fonksiyonun bozulmadığından emin olmak için önceden tanımlanmış testlerin tekrar çalıştırılması gerekmektedir. Ancak bu testlerin tekrar çalıştırılması işlemi oldukça maliyetli olabilir. Bu sebeple, yazılımdaki hataları daha erken tespit edebilmek amacıyla, hatayı bulma olasılığı daha fazla olan testleri önceliklendirmeye dayanan test durum önceliklendirmesi metodu kullanılabilir. Çeşitli yöntemler üzerinde çalışarak, çeşitli teknikleri geliştirerek ve bunları çeşitli programlar üzerinde test ederek, hangi tekniğin hangi tip programlarda yada hangi tip hatalarda kullanılabileceğine daha kolay cevap verilebilir. Biz bu konuda test durum öncelikleme yöntemlerinin seçimi ve önceliklendirilmiş test grubunun ortalama hata bulma oranlarını hesaplanmasına odaklanarak gerçekleştirdik çalışmamızı. Yenilik olarak son zamanlarda kullanılmaya başlanan yöntemlerden biri olan Kümeleme metoduna verimi artımak için optimizasyon uygulanmasını öneriyoruz. Bunu yapabilmek için, esas olarak kümeler arasındaki mesafenin kapsam bilgileri kullanılarak maksimum olmasını amaçlıyoruz. Kümeler arasındaki mesafe kümelerin kapsadığı fonksiyonlar arasındaki fark ile hesaplanmaktadır. Sonuç olarak, bu çalışma deneysel sonuçlara bakarak hangi test durum önceliklendirme yönteminin seçilebileceği konusunda ipucu vermektedir
Application of a software agility assessment model – AgilityMod in the field
Adoption of agile values and principles and transformation of organizations towards agility are not easy and straightforward. Misinterpretation of agile principles and values, and adoption of partial solutions with few agile practices instead of holistic approaches prevent organizations to obtain full benefits of agile methods. We developed the Software Agility Assessment Reference Model (AgilityMod) for the appraisal of software projects from agility perspective and to provide guidance on specifying gaps on the road towards agility (agile maturity). The meta-model of AgilityMod was defined in relation with the ISO/IEC 15504-Process Assessment Model. AgilityMod was developed in an iterative and incremental manner by running successive case studies and getting opinions of experts for the evaluation and improvement of the Model. The multiple case study that we present here in detail included the implementation of the Model in eight software development companies. The results of this case study were evaluated by the case study participants. response to requirements of the capital accumulation with the view of overcoming the
crisis of capitalism in the 1970s. Natural areas previously untouched or used for local
production have become “spatial fixes”, to which global capital switched, through state
regulations. In other words, there has been an increasing intervention into natural areas,
and occurred an intense form of commodification of nature. Privatization,
commodification and marketization of these areas lead to environmental degrading.
Besides, enclosure of these areas to prevent access of local people to use these natural
sources causes them not to able to keep on their livelihood activities. Local people who
have been taken away from their common lands or private properties by being deprived
of use or ownership are becoming increasingly impoverished and dispossessed.
Neoliberal practices after 2000 in the Karaburun Peninsula are striking examples
of commodification of nature and accumulation by dispossession. This study examines
neoliberal regulations, policies and practices, the overlap between the natural areas and
investments, and ownership of these areas in Karaburun Peninsula. As a result, it is seen
that the pasture areas used by the villagers to earn their living have been narrowed; their
properties have been expropriated and then allocated for wind power generation and
industrial olive cultivation. Moreover, the increase of mining investments, fish farms
and secondary dwellings on state lands, agricultural lands, pastures and coastal areas
have led to privatization of natural areas and restriction of local access.1970’lerde kapitalizmin krizinin üstesinden gelmek amacıyla sermaye
birikiminin gerekliliğine cevap olarak biyofiziksel alanlar ve kaynaklar özelleştirilmiş
ve pazar unsuru olmuştur. Daha önce el değmemiş veya yerel üretim için kullanılan
doğal alanlar, devlet düzenlemeleri ile küresel sermayenin aktarıldığı “mekânsal
sabiteler” haline gelmiştir. Başka bir deyişle, doğal alanlara müdahale artmış ve doğanın
metalaşmasının daha yoğun bir biçiminin ortaya çıkmıştır. Bu alanların özelleştirilmesi,
metalaşması ve pazarlanması çevresel bozulmaya yol açmaktadır. Ayrıca, yerel halkın
bu doğal kaynakları kullanmasını engellemek için bu alanların etrafının çevrilmesi,
yerel halkın geçim faaliyetlerine devam edemelerine neden olmaktadır. Kullanım veya
mülkiyet hakkından yoksun bırakılmak suretiyle ortak arazilerinden veya özel
mülklerinden uzaklaştırılmış olan yöre halkı giderek yoksullaşmakta ve
mülksüzleşmektedir.
2000 yılından sonra Karaburun Yarımadası'ndaki neoliberal uygulamalar,
doğanın metalaşmasının ve mülksüzleştirme yoluyla birikimin çarpıcı birer örneğidir.
Bu çalışmada Karaburun Yarımadası’ndaki neoliberal düzenlemeler, politikalar ve
uygulamalar, doğal alanlar ve yatırımların örtüşme durumu ve bu arazilerin mülkiyet
durumları incelenmiştir. Bunun sonucunda, köylülerin geçimlerini sağlamak için
kullandıkları mera alanları daraltıldığı, mülklerinin kamulaştırıldığı ve daha sonra
rüzgar enerjisi üretimi ve endüstriyel zeytin yetiştirme faaliyetleri için tahsis edildiği
gözlemlenmektedir. Dahası maden yatırımları, balık çiftlikleri ve ikincil konutların
devlet arazilerindeki, tarım ve mera alanlarındaki ve kıyılardaki artışı doğal alanların
özelleştirilmesine ve bu alanların yerel kullanımının kısıtlanmasına sebep olmaktadır
