In’ikās al-Bī`ah fī al-Amṡāl al-‘Arabiyyah wa al-Malāiwiyyah
This study aimed to determine the environmental opposites between Arabic and Malay proverbs. It used contrastive descriptive method to analyze similarities and differences in environmental opposites of both proverbs. The data sources used were Arabic and Malay proverbs from various literatures. The results showed that in Malay proverbs, although the stories and events are lost, the words do not deviate far from general proverbs and particularly Arabic proverbs. Arabic and Malay proverbs environments have similar characteristics even though they use quite different word choices
Indonesian International Scientific Publication Trend, 2015-2019
This article discusses trends in Indonesia's international scientific publications in the 2015-2019 period. Indonesian international scientific publications are sourced from the Scopus data base and the data were analyzed using a bibliometric approach with visualization of VOSviewer version 1.6.15. The results show that Indonesia's international publications during the 2015-2019 period experienced a significant increase, namely 8,373 publications in 2015 to 46,028 publications in 2019, or an increase of 5.5 times from the publication in 2015. Munir, A was recorded as the most productive writer with produced 239 publications during those five years, followed by Sarno, R (221 publications), Purnomo, MH (207 publications), Hidayanto, A.N. (182 publications), and Rahim, R. (167 publications). Universitas Indonesia as the institution with the most publications with 11,661 articles, followed by the Bandung Institute of Technology (8,961 publications), Gadjah Mada University (7,369 publications), Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (5,096 publications), and Diponegoro University (4,997 publications). Other results show that most (50.9%) publications produced by authors from Indonesia are published in Scopus indexed international proceedings (such as the IOP Conference Series, AIP Conference Proceedings, MATEC Web of Conferences, E3S Web of Conferences, and ACM International Conference Proceedings. Series), and articles in international journals (46.7%). The most collaborators came from Malaysia (5,780 articles), Japan (5,373 articles), Australia (3,253 articles), the United States (2,849 articles), and England (2,194). Engineering is the most predominantly published research field, this is confirmed by the top 3 sources of publications, namely the Journal of Physics Conference Series (10.61%), IOP Conference Series Earth and Environmental Science (8.28%), and IOP Conference Series Materials Science and Engineering (6.33%). The conclusion of this study shows that there is a significant increase in Indonesian international publications indexed by Scopus of 549.71% during the 2015-2019 period. This significant increase stems from the publication of articles by Indonesian authors in international proceedings
Political Communication Strategy of The Eramas Success Team's in Achieving Support at the 2018 Simular Election In North Sumatra
This research aims to find out: first the communication strategy of the ERAMAS success team in gaining support for the 2018 simultaneous regional elections in North Sumatra, the second the campaign communication strategy for the ERAMAS pair in attracting public attention, the three obstacles faced by the ERAMAS success team in the 2018 simultaneous regional elections in North Sumatra. This study uses qualitative research with a naturalistic approach, this approach intends to create a systematic and objective description of an event by collecting, evaluating, verifying, and synthesizing evidence to support facts in order to obtain a conclusion. Data collection in this study was carried out using various observation techniques (observations), interviews, and documentation. This research refers to the Scored theory which states that political communication strategy is divided into political marketing, political campaigns, media and political jargon. The results show that: first, the communication strategy of the ERAMAS success team in gaining support for the 2018 simultaneous regional elections in North Sumatra is by: a) direct alternation, b) involving all elements of society, and c) maximizing the role of social media. Two Communication Strategies The campaign for the ERAMAS pair in attracting public attention is by: a) dialogical and open, b) campaigning culturally and structurally, and c) holding religious and social activities. The three obstacles faced by the ERAMAS success team in the 2018 simultaneous regional elections in North Sumatra are: a) remote geographical location, b) lots of slander and bad framing, and c) intervention from the central government. Integrating Politeness Principles and Strategies in Counselling Technique: A Phenomenological Study
Politeness is an important academic topic. An action must be taken to prevent rudeness. As a result, this study investigates how counseling techniques can modify students' behavior to be more courteous by implementing politeness tactics and concepts. Furthermore, the purpose of this study is to determine why counseling strategies may alter students' perspectives. The research was conducted using a phenomenological study using an observation checklist and interview guideline. The instruments were triangulated for validity. Data collection, data condensation, data display, and conclusion were all used in the data analysis. The findings revealed that Counselling Technique could have an impact on the outcome. The findings revealed that Counselling Technique had the ability to change students' conduct to become more polite. The students used negative politeness methods to consult with the instructors during its execution. Furthermore, students used all of the politeness standards, including the tact principle, generosity principle, modesty principle, approval principle, compassion principle, and agreement principle. Studi Evaluasi Penyediaan Kebutuhan Infrastruktur dan Lingkungan Pada Kegiatan CSR PT Indonesia Power Semarang Power Generation Unit
Corporate social responsibility (CSR) dapat diwujudkan dalam bentuk bantuan penyediaan kebutuhan infrastruktur dan lingkungan masyarakat untuk membangun hubungan kepercayaan dengan masyarakat serta saling mendukung kemajuan masyarakat dan perusahaan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana hasil evaluasi program CSR yang dilakukan PT Indonesia Power Semarang. Adapun metode penelitian menggunakan kualitatif deskriptif. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan survei, populasinya adalah penduduk di kawasan Gunungpati Kota Semarang. Kemudian sampel penelitian yang mereka terima dari program CSR sebanyak seratus orang. Unit analisis dalam penelitian adalah bantuan prasarana dan kebutuhan lingkungan bagi warga. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kebutuhan infrastruktur dan lingkungan dalam CSR PT Indonesia Power Semarang dinilai baik dan bermanfaat masyarakat di Gunungpati Kota Semarang
Nisā` Diction as the Concept of Women's Domestic Social Piety in al-Qur’an
This library research analyzes the word Nisā` in al-Qur'an, which describes the women’s domestic roles and standards of social piety in Islamic view. It uses the philosophical-hermeneutical approach and social piety theory to analyze the data. This research results in three main findings: First, social piety in Islam manifests responsibility as God's caliphs on earth. Second, one of social piety description in Islam is by the use of word Nisā` repeatedly in different verses and surahs of al-Qur'an. The last, Nisā` diction to describe the social piety concept, according to al-Qur'an, places women in the domestic dimension to show women's participation as God's caliphs on earth in building the ideal social order. This research contributes to the gender studies overlooked by previous researchers, as the concept of Nisā` in al-Qur'an was ignored
Keeping the middle path: mainstreaming religious moderation through Islamic higher education institutions in Indonesia
The Ministry of Religious Affairs of Indonesia continues to voice religious moderation to mainstream a peaceful Islamic discourse. This article aimed at looking at religious moderation values from several Islamic higher education institutions in Indonesia. The focus of article aims to find a pattern of the implementation of moderation in Islam in Islamic universities. This article discusses to what extent Islamic higher education institutions internalize religious moderation values to students. By conducting qualitative research, this article explores 3 Islamic higher education institutions in Indonesia: Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim, Universitas Darussalam Gontor Ponorogo, and Ma’had Aly As'adiyah. The result shows that higher education institutions play a critical role in inculcating religious moderation values through pesantren institutions. The Pesantren universities have a role in transmitting moderate Islamic values through their curriculum and various religious activities. This research reveals that religious moderation is implicated in these 3 Islamic universities. The curriculum is eclectic and reflects moderation values, such as national commitment, tolerance, non-violence, and local culture accommodation. This study concludes that the three pesantrenuniversities in Indonesia have a distinctive pattern of emphasizing moderation in the three areas: theoretical, practical, and ideological aspect.
The Syncretization of Sunan Kalijaga Teachings: A Structuralism Study In Determining Qibla Direction of Demak Great Mosque
The history of the spread of Islam in Java was carried out by the sunans or known as walisongo. They spread and develop Islam with various methods and without violence, so that Islam can be accepted by the community and become the religion of the majority of the Javanese population. One of the walisongo who taught and developed Islam in Java with the method of syncretization or acculturation between culture and Islam religion was Sunan Kalijaga. The syncretization of Sunan Kalijaga’s teachings is a propaganda medium that has succeeded in attracting people to adhere to Islam. Sunan Kalijaga built a mosque that combines Islamic culture and teachings. He also determined the qibla direction of the Great Mosque of Demak by combining Islamic teachings with Javanese culture. Sunan Kalijaga’s determination of the Qibla direction is by raising the right hand holding the Ka’ba (symbol) and the left hand (silent) holding the mustoko of the Demak mosque. If studied from Levi-Strauss Structuralism, it will be clearly seen the true meaning or message of the syncretization of Sunan Kalijaga’s teachings of the Qibla direction. One of the meanings or messages is that the determination of the Qibla direction can be done with the medium of the shadows of the Sun. Currently, this method is known as ras}dulqiblah
Analysis of factors affecting poverty in Java Island
This study aimed to determine the effect of the Human Development Index, GRDP, and unemployment by utilizing zakat as a moderator on poverty in Java in 2014-2019. This study used secondary data with a panel data model, namely annual data from six provinces in Java. The analysis method used is multiple linear regression analysis with the Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) test. The research results showed that the Human Development Index has a significant negative effect on poverty, GRDP has a negative and insignificant effect on poverty, unemployment has a negative and insignificant effect on poverty. The Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) test shows that zakat cannot moderate the relationship between the human development index, GRDP, and unemployment on poverty
Marketing communication strategy in increasing sales of pottery products
The Pottery industry sector has become a side and even main livelihood for certain people. However, changing times to a more modern era has made pottery products rarely used. It is necessary to apply the right marketing strategy so that pottery products still exist and can develop, one of which is through marketing communications. Through marketing communication is expected to increase product sales. The purpose of this study was to find out how the marketing communication strategy in increasing sales of pottery products. The research method used is qualitative through a literature study approach. Good and effective marketing communication can be a strategy for craftsmen to increase sales of pottery products. Marketing activities for pottery products are carried out by prioritizing raw materials for making pottery craftsmen themselves, so that they can know the process of making pottery craft, determining process, marketing locations or place, and promotion proces
