    Romatoid artritli bireylerde egzersiz eğitiminin diz eklemipropriosepsiyonu, ağrı, fiziksel fonksiyon ve yaşam kalitesine etkisi

    Bu çalışma romatoid artrit (RA)'lı bireylerde egzersiz eğitiminin; diz eklemi propriosepsiyonu, izokinetik kuvveti, ağrı, fonksiyonellik, performans, düşme korkusu, günlük yaşam aktiviteleri, biyopsikososyal durum ve yaşam kalitesine etkisini belirlemek amacıyla randomize kontrollü olarak gerçekleştirildi. 19 RA tanılı kadın birey (10=Eğitim, 9=Kontrol) katıldı. Değerlendirmeler egzersiz programının başında ve sonunda gerçekleştirildi. Eğitim grubuna (EG) 12 hafta boyunca telerehabilitasyon ile BETY (Bilişsel Egzersiz Terapi Yaklaşımı) uygulandı. Kontrol grubuna (KG) müdahale yapılmadı. Propriosepsiyon ve izokinetik kuvvet ölçümleri Biodex Dinamometre cihazı ile gerçekleştirildi. McGill Ağrı Anketi Kısa Formu, Zamanlı Kalk ve Yürü Testi (TUG), 10 Basamak Merdiven Testi, Western Ontario and McMaster Üniversitesi (WOMAC) Osteoartrit İndeksi, 6 dakika Yürüme Testi, Sağlık Değerlendirme Anketi (HAQ), Düşme Etkinlik Ölçeği (DEÖ), BETY-Biopsychosocial Questionnaire (BETY-BQ), Hastane Anksiyete Depresyon Ölçeği (HADS), ve Dünya Sağlık Örgütü Yaşam Kalitesi Ölçeği-Kısa Form (WHOQOL-BREF) değerlendirilmelerde kullanıldı. EG´nin 60˚'de sağ (p=0,003) ve sol (p=0,033) diz proprioseptif hatası kontrol grubundan azdı. Tedavi sonrasında proprioseptif hata değeri; KG içinde sağ diz 60˚'de (p=0,035), EG´de sağ diz 30˚ ve 60˚'de KG`ye göre azaldı (sırasıyla p=0,028 ve p=0,024). Peak tork değerleri; EG´nda KG´na göre yükseldi (p<0,05), KG içinde ise azaldı (p<0,05). EG´nun VKİ, 6 dakika yürüme mesafesi, TUG, merdiven testi, WOMAC, BETY ve WHOQOL skorlarında anlamlı iyileşmeler (p<0,05) gözlendi. RA yönetiminde BETY'nin fonksiyonel etkiler yanında psikolojik ve sosyalleşme etkileriyle de yaşam kalitesini iyileştirdiği sonucuna varıldı. Anahtar Kelimeler: Romatoid artrit, diz eklemi, egzersiz tedavisi, propriosepsiyon, biyopsikososyal model.This study was conducted as a randomized controlled trial to determine the effects of exercise training on knee joint proprioception, isokinetic strength, pain, functionality, performance, fear of falling, activities of daily living, biopsychosocial status and quality of life in individuals with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). 19 female individuals with RA (10=Education, 9=Control) participated. Evaluations were performed at the beginning and end of the exercise program. The education group (EG) received BETY (Bilişsel Egzersiz Terapi Yaklaşımı-BETY-Cognitive Exercise Therapy Approach) with telerehabilitation for 12 weeks. No intervention was made to the control group (CG). Proprioception and isokinetic strength measurements were performed with a Biodex Dynamometer. McGill Pain Questionnaire-Short Form, Timed Up and Go Test (TUG), 10-Step Stair Test, WOMAC Osteoarthritis Index, 6 min. Walk Test, Health Assessment Questionnaire (HAQ), Falls Efficacy Scale (FES), BETY Biopsychosocial Questionnaire (BETY_BQ), Hospital Anxiety Depression Scale (HADS), World Health Organization Quality of Life Scale-Short Form (WHOQOL-BREF) were used for evaluations. Right (p=0.003) and left (p=0.033) knee proprioceptive error of EG at 60˚ was less than the control group. After treatment, proprioceptive error value; In CG, right knee at 60˚ (p=0.035), in EG, right knee at 30˚ and 60˚ decreased compared to CG (p=0.028 and p=0.024, respectively). Peak torque values increased in EG compared to CG (p<0.05), and decreased in CG (p<0.05). Significant improvements (p<0.05) were observed in EG's BMI, 6 min. walking distance, TUG, staircase test, WOMAC, BETY and WHOQOL scores. It was concluded that BETY improves quality of life with its psychological and socialization effects as well as functional effects in RA management.     "Can anyone hear me?": The evaluation of human behaviour during earthquakes in Turkey

    This study seeks to examine how individuals behave in indoor and outdoor environments during an earthquake. Utilizing a nested multiple-case design, the research focused on the earthquakes that struck the & Idot;zmir and Elaz & imath;& gbreve; provinces of Turkey in 2020 and 2021 as separate cases. Data were collected through document review, specifically analyzing earthquake video footage, and the analysis was conducted using an observation form. The study reviewed 20 video recordings related to the Elaz & imath;& gbreve; earthquake (6 indoor, 10 outdoor, and 4 outdoor) and 37 videos from the & Idot;zmir earthquake (10 indoor, 22 outdoor, and 5 outdoor). The information gathered from the footage was transformed into findings through descriptive statistical analyses, including frequency and cross-table analyses. The results indicate that individuals often display similar behaviors during an earthquake. It was found that people typically move toward doors or balconies, remain still, take protective stances, and turn to the others during such events. Their reactions may range from panic to calmness, control, and confusion. Notably, most individuals did not take any belongings with them or opted for their phones or wallets. People were observed to freeze, walk, run, or move in a manner that suggested crowding

    Z kuşağının kozmetik ürün tercihlerinde çevresel bilinç ve yeşil satın alma davranışı

    İnsan var oluşundan bu yana her zaman doğayla bir bütün halinde olmuştur. Zaman içerisinde insan nüfusunun artması, ulusların yükselişi, erişimin kolaylaşmasıyla tüketime olan talep de artmıştır. Doğal kaynaklar bilinçsiz bir şekilde kullanılmış, çevreye zararlı atıklar doğaya salınmış vb. nedenlerle zamanla doğanın dengesi bozulmuş ve doğada var olan doğal kaynaklar azalmış, çevre kirliliği artmıştır. Bu durum özellikle XX. yüzyılda sürdürülebilirliğin öneminin fark edilmesine ve artmasına neden olmuştur. Zaman içerisinde bu bilinç yaygınlaşmış ve günümüzde üzerinde sıklıkla durulan, hükümet ve yerel yönetim politikası haline gelen, firmaların uyguladığı stratejilere şekil veren, tüketiciler için ise tercih nedeni olarak görülen bir parametre haline gelmiştir. Kozmetik ürünler insanın var oluşundan bu yana gelen güzelleşme, güzel görünme, başkaları tarafından beğenilme, güzel kokma vb. kendini tatmin edici nedenler ile cinsiyet, yaş, ırk vb. fark etmeksizin tüketilen bir ürün grubudur. Zamanla erişimin de kolaylaşmasıyla birlikte bu sektöre olan talep de artmıştır. Kozmetik ürün tercihlerinde Türkiye nüfusunun yaklaşık dörtte birini, dünya nüfusunun ise yaklaşık üçte birini oluşturan, diğer kuşaklara kıyasla çevresel olaylara daha duyarlı olduğu düşünülen, farkındalığı yüksek bir jenerasyon olarak görülen Z Kuşağının gösterdiği çevresel bilinci ve yeşil satın alma niyetini incelediğimiz bu çalışmamızda kozmetik ürün alışverişi yapan 411 tüketici ile anket çalışması yapılmıştır. Çevre Bilinci ve Yeşil Satın Alma Niyeti ölçeklerine faktör analizi ve güvenilirlik analizi uygulanarak ölçeklerin güvenirliği ve geçerliliği sağlanmıştır. Ölçekler arasındaki ilişki korelasyon analizi ile ortaya koyulmuş ve çevre bilincinin yeşil satın alma niyetine etkisi regresyon analizi ile ortaya koyulmuştur. Araştırma sonucunda; çevre bilincinin yeşil satın alma niyeti üzerinde pozitif yönde etki ettiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.Since the existence of man, he has always been one with nature. Over time, the demand for consumption has increased with the increase in the human population, the rise of nations, and the ease of access. Natural resources have been used unconsciously, wastes harmful to the environment have been released into nature, etc. Over time, the balance of nature has been disrupted, the natural resources available in nature have decreased, and environmental pollution has increased. This situation has led to the recognition and increase of the importance of sustainability, especially in the 20th century. Over time, this awareness has become widespread and has become a parameter that is frequently emphasized today, has become a government and local government policy, shapes the strategies implemented by companies, and is seen as a reason for preference for consumers. Cosmetic products are a product group that has been consumed since the existence of man, regardless of gender, age, race, etc. for reasons such as beautification, looking beautiful, being liked by others, smelling nice, etc. and satisfying himself. With the ease of access over time, the demand for this sector has also increased. In this study, where we examine the environmental awareness and green purchasing intention of Generation Z, which constitutes approximately one-fourth of the Turkish population and approximately one-third of the world population in terms of cosmetic product preferences, is considered to be more sensitive to environmental events compared to other generations, and is seen as a highly conscious generation, a survey was conducted with 411 consumers who shop for cosmetic products. Factor analysis and reliability analysis were applied to the Environmental Awareness and Green Purchase Intention scales, and the reliability and validity of the scales were ensured. The relationship between the scales was revealed by correlation analysis, and the effect of environmental awareness on green purchase intention was revealed by regression analysis. As a result of the research; It was concluded that environmental awareness has a positive effect on green purchase intention

    Travma sonrası stres bozukluğu olan depremzedelerde farklı egzersiz eğitimlerinin biyopsikososyal etkinliğinin araştırılması

    Çalışmanın amacı travma sonrası stres bozukluğu (TSSB) semptomları olanlarda farklı egzersizlerin biyopsikososyal etkisini araştırmaktı. Çalışmada karma yöntemler araştırması kullanıldı. Çalışmaya TSSB semptomlu 38 birey üç gruba (n=11 kontrol, n=13 kombine, n=14 aerobik) randomize olarak dahil edildi. Kombine egzersiz grubuna haftada iki gün Bilişsel Egzersiz Terapi Yaklaşımı (BETY) ve haftada üç gün aerobik egzersiz 8 hafta uygulandı. Aerobik egzersiz grubuna ise 8 hafta, haftada üç gün aerobik egzersiz uygulandı. Nicel aşamada tedavi öncesi ve sonrası bireylerin fonksiyonel kapasiteleri 6 dakika yürüme testi, basınç ağrı eşiği algometre, TSSB semptomları TSSB Kontrol Listesi (PCL-5), Travma Sonrası Stres Tanı Ölçeği ve Olayların Etkisi Ölçeği-Revize anketleri, anksiyete depresyon ve stres düzeyleri Depresyon Anksiyete ve Stres Ölçeği, uyku kaliteleri Pittsburgh Uyku Kalitesi İndeksi, yaşam kaliteleri Kısa Form-36, biyopsikososyal durumlarında BETY-Biyopsikososyal Ölçeği (BETY-BQ) ve tedavi etkinliği Global Değişim Ölçeği (GROC) ile değerlendirildi. Sonrasında nitel veriler yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme sorularıyla odak grup görüşmelerinde toplandı. Nicel analiz sonuçlarında kombine ve aerobik egzersiz grubundakilerin TSSB semptomları, depresyon ve stres düzeyleri, yaşam kaliteleri, biyopsikososyal durumları ve tedaviyle değişim miktarlarının kontrol grubuna göre iyileştiği bulundu (p<0,05). GROC ile ölçülen tedavi ile değişim miktarının, kombine egzersiz grubunda aerobik egzersiz grubuna göre daha iyi olduğu gözlendi (p<0,05). Nitel analiz sonuçlarının nicel analiz sonuçlarını destekleyip zenginleştirdiği görüldü. Aerobik ve kombine egzersizin TSSB semptomu olanlarda fonksiyonel kapasite, TSSB semptomları, uyku kalitesi, yaşam kalitesi ve biyopsikososyal durumu iyileştirmek için reçete edilebileceği sonucuna varıldı. BETY'nin TSSB semptomu olanlarda biyopsikososyal yaklaşım olarak kullanılabileceği görüldü. TSSB haricinde stres semptomu olanlarda egzersizin etkinliğini gösteren ileri çalışmalara gerek vardır.The aim of this study was to investigate the biopsychosocial effects of different exercise modalities in individuals with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) symptoms. A mixed-methods research design was employed. A total of 38 individuals with PTSD symptoms were randomly assigned into three groups: control (n=11), combined exercise (n=13), and aerobic exercise (n=14). The combined exercise group participated in Cognitive Exercise Therapy Approach (BETY) sessions twice a week and aerobic exercise sessions three times a week for 8 weeks. The aerobic exercise group engaged in aerobic exercise three times a week for 8 weeks. In the quantitative phase, participants were assessed before and after the intervention using the 6-Minute Walk Test for functional capacity, an algometer for pressure pain threshold, PTSD Checklist for DSM-5 (PCL-5), PTSD Diagnostic Scale, and the Impact of Event Scale-Revised for PTSD symptoms. Depression, anxiety, and stress levels were measured with the Depression Anxiety and Stress Scale, sleep quality with the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index, quality of life with the Short Form-36, biopsychosocial status with the BETY Biopsychosocial Questionnaire (BETY-BQ), and treatment effectiveness with the Global Rating of Change (GROC) scale. Qualitative data were collected through semi-structured focus group interviews. Quantitative findings revealed that PTSD symptoms, levels of depression and stress, quality of life, biopsychosocial status, and perceived treatment change significantly improved in both the combined and aerobic exercise groups compared to the control group (p<0.05). The combined exercise group showed significantly greater improvement in treatment change measured by the GROC compared to the aerobic group (p<0.05). Qualitative findings supported and enriched the quantitative results. It was concluded that aerobic and combined exercises can be prescribed to improve functional capacity, PTSD symptoms, sleep quality, quality of life, and biopsychosocial status in individuals with PTSD symptoms. BETY was found to be a usable biopsychosocial approach for individuals with PTSD. Further research is needed to demonstrate the effectiveness of exercise in individuals experiencing stress symptoms other than PTSD

    National Responses to Global Concern: Examination of Disaster Management in Türkiye from the Perspective of Environment, Security and Sustainable Development

    While climate change-induced natural disasters are increasing in number, their destructive effects are also becoming more severe. This study answers the question whether disaster management policies in Türkiye are in line with the ‘2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development’ and the ‘Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction (2015-2030)’. Within the scope of the research, Türkiye’s Twelfth Development Plan and AFAD Strategic Plan 2024-2028 are analysed and a comparison is made in the context of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction. Accordingly, it is determined that climate change is a global concern and a security issue due to the disasters it causes and negatively affects sustainable development; the current disaster management approach in Türkiye is compatible with sustainable development goals and Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction (2015-2030); and finally, Türkiye’s disaster management is based on a multi-actor process and has a disaster governance approach.     Advancements in AI and AutoML for Plant Leaf Disease Identification in Sustainable Agriculture

    The application of artificial intelligence (AI) has shown to be transformational in the field of precision agriculture. In recent years, the demand for effective agricultural practices has been growing considerably, and thus, the proper utilization of AI capabilities will certainly resolve some of the challenging issues and further develop the processes for environmental preservation. Also, the AI’s transformative effect on agriculture has developed itself by replacing some substandard practices with modern and effective approaches. The proposed system describes the idea of an AI application that uses plant scanning technologies to solve agricultural issues. The goal of this smartphone application is to give farmers, agricultural professionals, and other related stakeholders a simple tool for the early detection and proactive management of plant-related difficulties. The proposed system uses AI tools, including machine learning and computer vision techniques, to analyze images that the potential users can take using a mobile smartphone to investigate plants diseases. The software instantly analyzes the images after scanning a plant to produce a detailed report explaining the implicit faults found along with possible remedies and interventions. Eventually, our system offers comprehensive solutions for effectively predicting and addressing the impeding agricultural issues that scan through various plants. Further, the proposed system tends to provide solutions for monitoring the state of the plant and enhance the space for high crop yielding, which, in turn, reduces losses and paves the way for sustainable agricultural practices. Let us explore the cutting-edge world of AI and automated machine learning (AutoML) in the context of sustainable agriculture with a focus on the rapid and accurate identification of plant diseases.     ChatGPT as a collaborative research assistant in the ICF linking process of the brief version of the Burn Specific Health Scale

    Introduction: Burn injuries profoundly affect multiple aspects of health-related quality of life (HRQoL). The Brief Version of the Burn Specific Health Scale (BSHS-B) is commonly used to assess HRQoL in burn survivors. Linking such tools to the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) enhances data comparability and standardisation for patients with burn injuries. However, linking process is often complex and time- consuming. Large language models may support linking process and help streamline future linking studies in burn rehabilitation. Objectives: This study evaluated the feasibility of using ChatGPT-4o as a collaborative assistant in the ICF linking process of BSHS-B items. Methods: The study followed the refined ICF linking rules. In the first stage, two physiotherapists independently linked the contents of BSHS-B items to ICF categories. When the two linkers disagreed, a third assigned the item to a category. In the second stage, ChatGPT-4o guided by specialised prompting performed the same task according to linking rules. In the content analysis, Cohen’s Kappa coefficient was computed to evaluate the consistency between expert consensus and ChatGPT-4o-based linking. An agreement on item perspective analyses was also conducted. Frequencies of identified ICF categories across major domains were reported descriptively. Results: The agreement between linkers on ICF category assignment was fair (κ = 0.41, p < .001), while ChatGPT and expert consensus agreement was moderate (κ = 0.55, p < .001). In the perspective analysis, agreement between experts was fair (κ = 0.21, p < .01), whereas ChatGPT demonstrated almost perfect agreement with experts (κ = 0.86, p < .001). A total of 25 ICF codes were identified, mainly in Activity Participation (52.11 %) and Body Functions (40.85 %). Conclusion: ChatGPT demonstrated substantial potential in the ICF linking process as a supportive tool. While not replacing human expertise, ChatGPT may be able to reduce workload and facilitate ICF linking process

    Identıfyıng Crıtıcal Barrıers To Cırcular Constructıon Adoptıon From A Cross-Country Perspectıve

    Circular construction (CC) is a transformative approach in the construction industry, emphasizing the integration of circular economy (CE) principles to overcome sustainability barriers, reduce waste, and optimize resource efficiency. This innovative methodology prioritizes material design, deconstruction, and reuse while fostering collaboration to drive systemic change. However, CC adoption faces significant challenges across countries, which has limited global understanding and implementation. These disparities highlight the need for targeted research to address barriers specific to various national contexts. Transitioning to CC offers an opportunity to decouple construction activities from resource depletion and environmental degradation. Yet, the limited research on CC adoption, particularly regarding its impact on project performance, underscores the urgency of identifying hindering factors. Therefore, this study aims to systematically identify, classify, and prioritize critical barriers through a systematic literature review (SLR). Barriers will be categorized based on their occurrence in countries with differing development levels, enabling cross-country insights and comparisons. The findings will illuminate the most critical obstacles to CC adoption and propose key indicators and strategies to address them. This research seeks to facilitate CC adoption globally by offering actionable insights, contributing to enhanced construction management practices, and sustainable development. © 2025 ISEC Press

    Dijital pazarlamanın tüketici gözüyle satışçılar üzerindeki etkisinde yapay zekanın aracılık rolü

    Bu çalışma, dijital pazarlama stratejilerinin tüketici gözüyle satışçılar üzerindeki etkisini ve bu etkide yapay zekâ destekli uygulamaların aracılık rolünü incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Araştırma, 417 katılımcıdan elde edilen anket verileri ile gerçekleştirilmiş olup, veriler çeşitli istatistiksel analiz yöntemleriyle değerlendirilmiştir. Çalışma kapsamında, ölçek tanımlayıcı istatistikler, geçerlilik ve güvenirlik testleri, normallik testleri, fark testleri ve korelasyon analizleri yapılmıştır. Geçerlilik ve güvenirlik testleri sonucunda ölçeğin yüksek güvenilirlikte olduğu belirlenmiş (Cronbach's Alpha = 0,985) ve normallik testleri verilerin normal dağılıma uygun olduğunu göstermiştir. Fark testleriyle cinsiyet ve yaş değişkenlerine göre anlamlı bir farklılık bulunmazken, eğitim düzeyi, iş deneyimi ve sektörel faktörler açısından istatistiksel olarak anlamlı farklılıklar tespit edilmiştir. Araştırma bulguları, katılımcıların büyük bir kısmının yapay zekâ destekli alışverişi faydalı ve zaman tasarrufu sağladığı şeklinde değerlendirdiğini ortaya koymuştur. Ancak, finansal bilgilerin paylaşılması konusunda tüketicilerin kaygı duyduğu görülmüştür. Korelasyon analizinde, ölçeğin tüm bölümleri arasında pozitif ve anlamlı ilişkiler bulunmuştur. Sonuç olarak, yapay zekâ destekli alışveriş sistemleri, tüketiciler tarafından olumlu algılanmakta ve özellikle eğitim düzeyi ve iş deneyimi gibi faktörler bu algıyı şekillendirmektedir. Çalışma, yapay zekâ tabanlı dijital pazarlama uygulamalarının, müşteri memnuniyetini artırma ve satın alma eğilimlerini güçlendirme potansiyeli taşıdığını ortaya koymaktadır.This study aims to examine the impact of digital marketing strategies on sales personel from the consumers' perspective, focusing on the mediating role of artificial intelligence (AI)-based applications in this relationship. The research was conducted using survey data collected from 417 participants and analyzed through various statistical methods. The study included descriptive statistics, validity and reliability tests, normality tests, difference tests, and correlation analyses. The validity and reliability tests confirmed high reliability of the scale (Cronbach's Alpha = 0.985), and normality tests indicated that the data were normally distributed. Difference tests revealed no significant differences based on gender and age, while statistically significant differences were found concerning education level, work experience, and sectoral factors. The findings showed that the majority of participants perceive AI-supported shopping as beneficial and time-saving; however, concerns were noted regarding the sharing of financial information. Correlation analysis indicated positive and significant relationships across all sections of the scale. In conclusion, AI-supported shopping systems are positively perceived by consumers, with factors such as education level and work experience influencing this perception. The study demonstrates the potential of AI-based digital marketing applications to enhance customer satisfaction and strengthen purchase intentions
