Application of Jigsaw Learning Strategy to Develop Personal Characteristic Prospective Counselors in Department of Guidance and Counseling, Universitas Nusantara PGRI Kediri
Get PDFABSTRACTThe initial observational data of researchers at the IV level in Department of Guidance and Counseling, Universitas Nusantara PGRI Kediri showed three aspects of the candidate's personal characteristics, namely empathy, unconditional acceptance, and sincerity. The researcher interpreted the lack of development of the three aspects because the lecturing process had often been expository, which paid little attention to the organization of learning experiences, so that the material that had been obtained was simply forgotten. The use of jigsaw learning is expected to be able to become learning that is able to facilitate the organization of student learning experiences, so as to be able to develop three aspects of these characteristics. This classroom action research takes place in three cycles. The results obtained during the implementation of the research in the cycle 1 showed that the average empathy, acceptance without conditions and graduation, was still at the "low" level. In the cycle 2 study it was found that the average of three characteristics was at the level of "moderate". While in the cycle 3 study it was found that the three characteristic aspects had reached the level of 'high'. However, some students are still not able to get used to fully applying the three aspects of personal characteristics. Key Words: Jigsaw Learning Strategy, Personal Characteristic, Prospective Counselor
A comparative study on Working Capital Management efficiency of selected two Indian Fertilisers Industries.
Get PDFThe study is an attempt to analyze the efficiency of working capital management of two Indian Fertilizer Industries during 2013-14 to 2017-18. The selected two Industries are namely, Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd and Chambal Fertilizers & chemical limited, while have ranked this second and third largest fertilizer company of India. Working capital to the company is like the blood to human body. If it is carried out effectively, efficiently and consistently, that will assure the health of an organization and the researcher attempts to take result of comparison between two such industries. Four ratios have been selected for measuring the financial performance i.e. .Current Ratio, Liquid Ratio, Cash Ratio and Net working Capital Turnover Ratio. This research study concluded that the Current Ratio, Liquid Ratio, Cash Ratio and Net Working Capital Ratio of 1st Company is better position on the basis of liquidity as compare to 2nd Company
SWOT Analysis on Small and Medium Enterprises (SME): Special Reference to Uva Province Sri Lanka
Get PDFAbstractNowadays Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) play a vital role in the process of development in any country. It generates employment at low cost and helps the society to move on the path of success and growth. Study report shows that there is a growing number of SMEs in Sri Lanka yearly. It also observed that many SMEs are ineffective and some are closed down. The main problem of those SMEs seems to be the low quality of their product and rise in competition in the market.  Ineffectiveness may result in the locking up of resources, wastage of capital assets, loss of production and increasing unemployment. In addition, the ineffective units are mainly affected by the reduction of loan-able funds by financial institutions. The investigation suggests that quality management in manufacturing companies should be conducted in a cost-effective way and directed towards improving the operational efficiency and effectiveness of the entire organization rather than simply satisfying the customers. Used Questionnaire and interview method for data gathering of SME at Uva province Sri Lanka. The random sample selected to the study and it consists of 100 SME, out of that 79 of female and male were responded. 30 SMEs interviewed. The paper is an attempt towards finding out the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats of SMEs in Uva province in Sri Lanka.Key Words:  SME, Small and Medium Enterprises, Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats, Uva Provinc

According to the analysis done the number of working male are 275014476and non-working male are 257142296. Similarly working women employees are 127220248 and non-working women are 369233208 and marginal women workers are 54363078.    As per comparison done between rural and urban sector, the population of rural sector is more. Male population is urban sector is 149984221 and in rural is 380438194 and female population in urban sector is 135011467 and in rural sector is 359817177. Then comparison show that main workers male population in urban area is 71187439 and in rural 169333233 and male not doing job in urban area is 73720087 and rural area is 181238592 and female main workers in urban area are12313607 and rural 60339115. females not doing jobs in urban are 119418750 and in rural area 348361440 and  female marginal workers are 3279110 in urban area and 51116622 in rural area and male marginal workers are 71187439 in urban and 169333233 in rural.           As per the above analysis it shows that working females are less than working males and to improve this situation females’ empowerment plays and important role. If more and more females stand on their own feet then it will make a large difference for a country as a whole. Self- help group play an  important role in this by helping women gain financial stability . Through self- help group women workers can get training and development to start their own small business.Like making food product and sell them in the market through self-help group. They will get a platform to show their potential. They can display their product in Bhimthadi Fair/Jatra, pavnathadi fair/ Jatraand such other exhibition

But the Tourism has recorded a mark able growth though it requires efficient management with the Planning, Organizing, staffing, Controlling, Communicating, Budgeting and Coordinating and with the suitable Tourism Policy. Tourism has excellent scope in these islands if it is properly managed. The Tourism will attract more tourists in to these islands and also be able to contribute more to the economic development of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
