Study of Direct Tax Code (DTC) as a Next Step of Tax System Reform
India is going through the phase of revolutionary changes in economic as well as administration system. Introduction of Adhaar Card was a start of all such revolutionary practices. Adhar was initially a part jokes on the government, but it has proven to be one of the important part of the all correspondence, application and identity of an individual; citizen of India. Government has introduced many innovative practices like Adhaar, most of the government departments are controlled with MIS and by National Information Council (NIC). The administrative practices are dominated by Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software. The Public Revenue Revolution was actually planned in 20th century but due to some legal and constitutional constraints, it could not work. The Tax Revolution was planned with Direct Tax Code (DTC) first and was followed by Goods and Service Tax (GST). Practically GST is just implemented and the next step should be implementation of Direct Tax Code (DTC). Direct Tax Code will have deeper impact on the economy if it is implemented with the planned technological administration. This paper will highlight the SWOC analysis of the probable implementation of Direct Tax Code.Â
Democracy and Political Stability: A Comparative Study of Estonia and India, 1991-2015
The study intends to explore the relation between democracy and political stability in Estonia and India in a comparative perspective. Democracy and political stability are an indispensable aspect in both national as well as international politics. Political stability is a necessary pre-condition for nation-building. It plays an important role in strengthening social cohesion, integration and legitimacy within the state. Estonia was under Soviet occupation for nearly 50 years. India experienced the colonial rule of the British Empire for more than 200 years. After becoming independent the consolidation of a democratic political system and governance, providing constitutional guarantees of freedom, equality, justice, rights and ensure well being of citizens’ are the nation building priorities in both post-Soviet Estonia and post-colonial India. Estonia’s democracy has now crossed two and half decades, but lacking in content. India has established a full democracy in the past more than six decades of its existence showing political stability. Hence, comparing these two democracies help to understand the factors enabling political stability.Â
Electronic Change in University Libraries: role of Tehnologies in J&K
Conversion is essential activity for library’s, as library is a growing organism and hence to manage it, is a vital and tedious task. In this paper I want to suggest a mechanism to change management which can focus that change management was relevant not only in the initial phase, but also in the developing phase of the library’s spiral cycle and is a continuous process. The ultimate goal of this work is to promote a better understanding of the process of Change Management in libraries. Research paper describes the management of technological change with in the staff of libraries of Jammu & Kashmir State Universities. It describes how much placate staff is with the technology, digitization and how much they resist change and reasons for their resistance including their perceptions for uncertainty. It also describes librarians’ role and strategies adopted by them to manage technological change and digitization. It further describes the role of communication in managing technological change and digitization. Exchange of ideas, thoughts, opinions, etc. can be regarded as an effective tool in digitized environment to lead staff and change proficiently and successfully. In the knowledge society change is the only constant thing and it is inevitable. Information Communication Technologies have brought sea changes in the field of information sharing, retrieval and dissemination.Â

RELIGIOUS ATTITUDE AND REPRODUCTIVE BEHAVIOUR: A CASE OF SOME SELECTED VILLAGES OF FARAKKA BLOCK IN MURSHIDABAD DISTRICT, WEST BENGAL.
ABSTRACT: The relation between major religious group and reproductive behavior, based on primary sample survey data has been explored. The results indicate that religions has a significant effect on reproductive behavior of some selected villages of Farakka block , of the major two religious group studied, Muslims were found to have the highest giving birth of child rather than Hindus. Religious attitude in reproductive behavior persisted even after controlling for the effect of several major indices of social and economic development such as women education, employment, age at marriage and contraceptive use. Necessary steps are taken through General Awareness, Governments Role and involve Religious Leaders. Education as an Instrument of Social Change
Education is considered as the most powerful and effective instrument of social change and social development in present time. social change implies change in the social structure and function of the various units which form society .social structure includes social institution like family ,the marriage system , caste system ,educational institution ,customs, manners, literacy form, language, dress and food habits etc. It is the education that brings about the assimilation of the cultural values and transmit it from generation to generation .It provides a stability to the society and explains the complexities of life .the individual character ,personality ,common sense, culture, thinking, skills, habits etc depends upon education. Education has been and is being played as an agent of socialization of the younger generations so as to reach the expectations of the society. Education is the fundamental method of social progress and reform .Its guides the children towards new values and assists the development of intelligence and increase the society potential for its own transformation. society promotes industrialization, urbanization, rural development and social mobility by various means one of the main ones being education.    The axe of education can cut down the thik roots of outmoded traditions, superstitions, ignorance, backwardness etc which hinder the process of social change. Education acts as a ‘social organiser’ and ‘social leveler’ by providing vocational training ,skills and knowledge to its citizens .the outstanding function of education should be to prepare children for active and co-oprative democratic citizenship in changing world
Biodegradability and Nitrogen Use Efficiency of Crotonaldehyde Diurea in Wheat
A field experiment was conducted to test the efficacy of Rhodococcus spp for biodegradability of crotonaldehyde diurea and its N use efficiency in wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)â€at different critical growth stages and five treatments of nitrogen. The soil sample was collected and attempted to isolate the Rhodococcus spp. on selective medium. The Rhodococcus spp. showed profuse growth in a medium containing 0.1 % urea and slightly less profuse growth on the medium containing 0.1 % CDU as a sole nitrogen source. The CDU contained ammonical and nitrate nitrogen 19.6 and 13.0 %, respectively. It thus appeared that the soil microorganism Rhodococcus spp. can utilize the CDU probably suggesting that microorganism could have enzymatic activity which can degrade CDU. The activity of nitrate assimilating enzyme was assayed from the leaf tissues at four critical stages showed that the treatment T5 (100 % CDU) recorded highest activities of  NR, NiR, and GS, high nitrogen up take, high NUE and higher grain yield. Thus it appeared that Crotonaldehyde Diurea (CDU) is biodegradable by the Rhodococcus spp. present in the soil rhizosphere and applied once at the time of sowing

Nutritional Composition and Oil Quality Parameters of Sesame (Sesamum indicum L.) Genotypes
The present investigation was undertaken to evaluate the physical characteristics, proximate composition, anti-nutritional factors and oil quality parameters of sesame seeds of nine genotypes, varying in seed size having seed index(2.85-3.15g/1000 seeds) and seed caot colour.The proximate composition of whole sesame seeds revealed: moisture-9.3 to 10.9; crude fat-46.6 to 52.4; crude fibre-2.0 to 4.8 and carbohydrate-7.3 to 12.2 percent. The genotype JLS-9707-2 recored the highest oil content (52.4%) followed by genotypes Hawari ( 51.35%) and JLT-7 (50.3%).      The chemical composition of defatted meal of sesame revealed: moisture- 8.0 to 10.0; crude protein 24.0 to 27.6; crude fibre 3.0 to 5.0; ash 4.0 to 5.2; total carbohydrates 6.3 to 9.8 percent, free amino acids1.84 to 3.73 mg g-1 ; IVPD 27.4 to 29.6 percent; IVSD 158.25 to 266.4 mg maltose g-1 2 hrs-1 and the minerals Fe 2.30; Mn 1.93; Zn1.06 and Cu 0.35 mg kg-1. The polyphenols content ranged from 0.28 to 0.49 percent and the phytate phosphorus from 156.8 to 187.6 mg 100 g-1 meal. This study indicates that the defatted meal of genotype JL-Sel-06-13 exhibited better nutritional composition with respect to crude protein, minerals, IVPD besides low levels of crude fibre and anti-nutritional factors.The oil quality parameters viz., iodine value varied from 91.68 to 102.47 ; saponifiaction value from 188.5 to 193.6; acid value from 0.36 to 0.81 and peroxide value from 4.0 to 7.34 meq kg-1 . The oil of all genotypes exhibited good quality as far as the extent of unsaturation, low level of acid and the peroxide value of freshly extracted oil were concerned. The genotypes, JL-166 and JL-Sel-Agri-95-10 exhibited superior oil quality. The results on variations in quality of sesame oil stored at ambient conditions up to 30 days indicated that the genotype JL-Sel-9848-02 exhibited better oil quality and shelf-life, followed by the genotype JL-Sel-05-01. The seed colour did not show any correlation with the phytate phosphorus content, however brown seeded genotypes recorded higher polyphenol content
