    Abstract: Knowledge and Practices of Eradicating Mosquito Nests against DHF Vector Breeding Sites. The Puskesmas Banjarbaru Utara includes the Mentaos and Loktabat Utara Urban Villages. From year to year the two urban villages always have DHF cases repeatedly. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge and practice of eradicating mosquito nests against DHF vector breeding sites in the Puskesmas Banjarbaru Utara. This study is an analytical study with cross-sectional design. The sample in the study were 99 family heads. The study was conducted in November 2018 until January 2019. Data were analyzed using the chi-square test. The results showed that there was a relationship between knowledge of mosquito nest eradication and DHF vector breeding sites because of the value of p (0.002) < α (0.05) and there was also a relationship between the practice of eradicating mosquito nests and vector breeding sites because of the p (0.000) < α (0.05)

    Abstrack: Type of roof, temparature and humidity in the house. The roof is the largest element that receives sun exposure. The type of roof affects the amount of heat energy that can be absorbed of reflected. The temperature and humidity in the room.This study aims to determine the relationship between the type of roof with temperature and humidity in the house in the Badaun village. This research use cross sectional design with variation of roof type was leaf, asbestos and iron sheeting. The study population was 68 houses and was analyzed using Somers'd test.The results showed that the proportion of leaf roof, asbestos and iron sheeting were 36.8%, 10.3% and 52.9%, respectively. Average home room temperature using a leaf roof type of 29.6°C, 32°C asbestos roof and 32.1°C iron sheeting roof. The average humidity of the house that uses the leaf roof is 72.28%, asbestos 55.7% and iron sheeting 57.3%. The results of the analysis using the Somers'd test proved statistically there is a strong relationship between the type of roof of the house (leaves, asbestos and zinc) with the temperature and humidity in the house in Badaun Village, Tapin District. Every home that uses zinc and asbestos roof 27 times the risk (OR = 27) hotter than the house using a leaf roof. Efforts that can be done to cope with higher temperatures and humidity is in the effort to install the ceiling of the house and always open the doors and windows every morning

    The Relations Of The Intensity Of Noise And Work Term With The Hypertension Case Of The Production Parts Employees In PT. Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk.. Some research results prove that one of the risk factor of stroke is high blood pressure (hypertension). Noise pollution may be associated with the occurrence of hypertention, this is supported by an epidemiological study in the United States. The results of that study mentioned that people exposed to noise tend to have unstable emotions. Emotional instability will lead to a stress. If the stress happened long enough, it will cause the narrowing of blood vessels, so it will make the heart to work harder to pump blood throughout the body. In a long term, blood pressure will rise, and this is called Hypertension. The purpose of this study is to determine the relations between the intensity of noise pollution and work term with the case of hypertension in the production parts employee of PT. Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk. Tanah Laut regency in 2017. The research method used is an analytical survey with cross sectional approach. The population in this study is amounted to 57 people and the sample amounted to 57 people. The results of this study indicates that there is a moderate relationship between the intensity of noise pollution with the incidence of hypertension (p-value = 0,002 < α = 0,05 r = 0,407), and there is a low relationship between work term with the incidence of hypertension (p-value = 0,014 < α = 0,05 r = 0,323). Suggestions given to the company is to provide guidance on the use of PPE, perform routine health checks on employees and rotate the position of work on the employee of production

    Abstract: Water Quality Improvement Using Aloe Vera Gel. Some people on the Trikora road, Sidomulyo Permai Ujung Complex, Banjarbaru City use swamp water with turbidity levels that do not meet the requirements, namely 42 NTU. Water sources that do not meet the requirements must be processed. Aloe vera as a natural coagulant contains mucilage which contains polygalluronic acid as a coagulant with the mechanism of adsorption and incorporation. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of dose and time variation of aloe vera gel contact as a natural coagulant in reducing turbidity of swamp water. This type of research is experimental, namely to determine the optimum dose and contact time of aloe gel as a natural coagulant. The design of this study uses Postest Only Design. Data analysis usingstatistical test Two Way Analysis of Variance with α = 0.05. Turbidity level analysis results decreased after treatment of variations in dose and contact time, the optimum dose of 1.2 grams in the contact time of 20 minutes was able to reduce turbidity of 41,63% with turbidity value of 10.73 NTU, pH 4.6 and temperature of 28.5oC. It can be suggested for further research there should be an addition of natural additives that are alkaline to increase the pH of the water

    Abstract: Knowledge of the Use of Personal Protective Equipment in UD La Tahzan Aluminum Furniture in Hulu Sungai Utara Regency. The results of the preliminary survey showed that there were 50% of 10 aluminum furniture workers who knew the importance of the benefits and uses of personal protective equipment and 50% knew less. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of knowledge with the use of personal protective equipment at UD La Tahzan aluminum furniture in Hulu Sungai Utara Regency. The research method used was an analytical survey with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study amounted to 35 people. Data analysis using X2 (Chi square) test.The results of the study showed that there were 24 people who had poor knowledge there were 23 people who did not use personal protective equipment. Statistical test results (p = 0.007) means that there is a relationship of knowledge with the use of personal protective equipment at UD La Tahzan aluminum furniture in Hulu Sungai Utara Regency. Suggestions for future researchers to measure lighting, noise especially the work climate because it is one of the factors that might influence the use of personal protective equipment

    The Factors Associated With Handler’s Action In Handling Food On Restaurants In Banjar District. In 2015 there are poisoning cases because of contaminated food by chemical, physical, and biological factors. The case occurred in Gambut Subdistrict, Kertak Hanyar, Simpang Empat and Martapura, cause South Kalimantan in the sixth province with the highest poisoning case in Indonesia. The poisoning cases of 66.7% is caused by microbial contamination on fast food from the handlers. This is because their action who are less concerned on food safety, especially they work at house. This study aimed to determine the factors associated with the handler’s action in handling food on restaurants in Banjar District. The study type was Observational Research with Cross sectional design. The method used interview and observation. The sample was determined by purposive sampling technique, which is obtained by research opinion, with the result obtain a sample amounted to 78 food handlers that work for 24 restaurants in Martapura, Banjar District.     Difference In The Number Of Airborne Operation Room Before And After UV Sterilization. Hospitals become one where the occurrence of environmental pollution, health problems or can be a place of disease transmission. The operating room is a potentially high room causing nosocomial infections in the hospital, especially surgical wound infections. Bacteriological qualities of the general surgery and in-room surgery room, the researchers assume that there are variations in different ratio rates on the stages of laboratories measurement results. So it takes empirical clarity to see the difference. This study aimed to determine the difference in the number of airborne operating room fluid before and after UV sterilization in RSUD Ratu Zalecha Martapura. This study used design of experiments (one group pre and post test design), Population in this research was amount of air of operating room at Ratu Zalecha Martapura Hospital. The sample of this research was the air space bacteria OK 1 Ratu Zalecha Martapura Hospital total operating room amounted to 5 rooms.. Data were analyzed used paired sample t-test. The results of this study indicate that there are significant differences before surgery after sterilization with postoperative 1 before sterilization p value (0.015) ≤ nilai (0.05). Advice for sterilization officers operating room are check UV rays effectivity, maintenance of UV lighting and sterilization process should be done after room sterilization

    Abstract: Existence of e.coli's pattern in ice cubes on paddler at primary school. E.coli is a large and diverse group of bacteria found in the human intestinal tract. Transmission of e.coli into a food product may be through fecal contamination due to lack of hand washing after defecation, additionally processed foods can be contaminated by e.coli from equipment that has not been cleaned and reused for the next food product one is ice cubes. This research aims to know the existence of and tracing the cause of e.coli in ice cubes on paddler at primary school in Subdistrict Antapani Bandung. Research carried out in 13 elementary school in Antapani 2018, is the type of qualitative research by conducting interviews to informant confirmed by laboratory test. Raw material for the manufacture of ice cubes using water of PDAM and water refill. This study stated that the water resources (SAB), trash and a work shirt is already 100% in state eligible, while only 70% to SPAL that use septic tank and 30% drain into the river, there are 10% that do the CTPS and 0% for the use of the APD. Observationally only dishcloth that reach 100%, the rest should be upgraded again. In terms of sanitation especially storage of ice cubes, there are 80% and 20% still do not qualify. Laboratory results state that all negative samples. Laboratory result that Ice cubes in producers and paddlers do not contain E. coli. Paddler is not yet eligible sanitation as a whole. Therefore, it is expected to pay more attention to cleanliness of the companionship

    Abstract: The Coliform and Escherichia coli in Dug Well Water and Artesian Well. The quality of well water is related to public health problems. One of the causes of contaminated well water due to contamination by microorganisms, such as Coliform and E. coli bacteria. The quality of well water that is potentially polluted is one of the wells dug at the Slaughterhouse. The purpose of this study was to describe the factors related to the presence of Coliform and E. coli bacteria in wells dug in RPH in Jember Regency. This research is a descriptive research. Data collection techniques are carried out by observation, interviews, measurements, and laboratory tests. Interviews were conducted with the managers of each RPH. Laboratory test results showed that 42% of positive well water contained Coliform bacteria and 75% E. coli bacteria. The construction of dug wells mostly does not meet the physical requirements of wells, the septic tanks do not meet the requirements because some slaughterhouses do not have septic tanks and distances of less than 11 meters, the latrines are mostly in good condition, the SPAL of Jember Regency is mostly in the condition is good, most of the groundwater level in RPH wells in Kabupaten Jember has a height of 1 to 5 meters, all types of soil in RP Jember Regency are of sand soil type, and rainfall is relatively high. The dugs wells contruction and the latrines should be reconstruction to meet the requirement of clean water for increase the public health

    The Comparison Of Emission Levels Of Carbon Monoxide Exhaust Gas In Automatic Motor Vehicle Injection System. Transportation plays a very big role as a source of air pollution, especially exhaust emissions reach 60-70%. CO emitted by motor vehicle which exceed the standard be able to cause disturbance and even death. The development of a two-stroke engine vehicle into a four-step engine is a people demand who want a vehicle which is easy and comfortable. Indonesia has many different types of vehicles, but two types of motor vehicles with the YMJET-FI and PGM-FI system are most on the market. Three fuels such as premium, pertalite and pertamax are used by the public. This research was observational analytic, using Posttest Only Design to analyze the CO emission from YMJET-FI and PGM-FI engine with premium fuel, pertalite and pertamax. CO emission was tested at engine speed of 1.900-2.000 rpm and temperature 80oC. Analysis used Two Way Analysis of Variance statistic test with α = 0,05%. The results showed that YMJET FI using premium emitted CO as 0,23%, pertalite 0,32% and pertamax 0,37%. PGM-FI using premium emitted 0,21% , pertalite 0,24% and pertamax 0,25%. The conclussion is, both of YMJET-FI and PGM-FI, using premium, pertalite and pertamax emitted CO lower than the emission quality standard according to KemenLH 2009 such as of 4,5%
