    EXPERIENCES OF PEOPLE LIVING WITH HIV/AIDS IN SURVIVING LIFE

    Background: Fear of contracting HIV in the community causes discrimination and stigma to people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) because people still consider HIV/AIDS taboo. Many of the sufferers struggle to reveal their HIV status to others, but they get negative results such as rejection, stigmatization and even discrimination which can be a high psychological burden. Stigma and discrimination against PLWHA are the main obstacles to achieving a good quality of life. Objectives: This study is intended to explore the in-depth experiences of people living with HIV/AIDS in surviving life. Methods: This research is a phenomenological case study. The sample in this study amounted to three people who were recruited from Healthy Loving Care Foundation Semarang City. The sample was determined using a purposive sampling technique according to the inclusion criteria, that is age 20 and 50 years, diagnosed with HIV/AIDS, conscious, cooperative, not experiencing cognitive, hearing and speech disorders, willing to participate in the study by signing the informed consent.  The data was collected by in-depth online interviews and then recorded in transcripts and analyzed using Amedeo Giorgi's data analysis technique. Results: This study showed that participants experience adversity due to HIV/AIDS but the participants get out of their slump by accepting their illness, taking treatment, finding a support system and becoming a positive people. The participants also in living their lives keep their illness a secret to survive so as not to experience bad stigma or discrimination. The results of this study reveal one main theme, Experiences of People living with HIV in Surviving life. Conclusion: This study found the support received by participants and the response of participants to their condition as an effort to survive their lives

    THE INFLUENCE OF RELAXATION TECHNIQUE ON THE LEVEL OF ANXIETY IN PRE-CIRCUMCISION SURGERY

    Background: Anxiety in children who will undergo circumcision is recognized as part of the trauma experienced by children due to actions that are considered dangerous for themselves. Excessive anxiety in pre circumcision can be prevented through one of the techniques of deep breathing relaxation.  Objectives: The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of relaxation techniques on anxiety in patients with pre-circumcision surgery at the Circumcised House Sarirogo, Sidoarjo. Design: The population target was all of the patient for the circumcision in the Circumcised House of Sarirogo, Sidoarjo as many as 28 respondents. The technique sampling in this study used Consecutive Sampling technique. The sample size obtained 22 respondents. The independent variable in this study is relaxation techniques and the dependent variable is the anxiety of pre-circumcision patients. Data were taken using a questionnaire about anxiety given to respondents before and after relaxation techniques were carried out on 1–15 September 2020. This study used Wilcoxon Statistic Test and this research design used a pre-experimental one group pretest-posttest design. Results: The results showed as many as 7 respondents (31.8%) experienced severe anxiety levels before the relaxation technique was applied, while after being given relaxation techniques, the respondent's anxiety level decreased to 3 respondents (13.6%o). Based on statistical analysis result, it found that relaxation technique affects to the level of anxiety positively (p-value = .000). Conclusion: Relaxation techniques in nursing interventions are to divert or distance the client's attention to something that is being faced. While the benefits of this technique, that is, so that someone who receives this technique feels more comfortable, relaxed, and feels in a pleasant position

    Background: The impact of HIV/AIDS affects the patient's life, both psychologically   and   physiologically   to   lower   the   level   of   Self- transcendence.  So far, the measure to determine the level of self-transcendence in HIV/AIDS patients has not been established in Indonesia. Objectives: The purpose of this study is to conduct a test of the validity and reliability of self-transcendence questionnaires in HIV/AIDS patients. Design: This study was conducted cross-sectional study. Methods: This research was conducted in the HIV group in Semarang with a total of 100 respondents. This research was carried out in August 2020. Data is collected using the purposive sampling method in patients who meet inclusion criteria, namely patients who are undergoing ARV therapy and residing in the Semarang area, and willing to be respondents. Statistical test methods used to test the validity and reliability of questionnaires are person product movement and reliability analysis. Results: The validity and reliability test using SPSS 23 software shows the entire question item has a validity result of >0.164 and the reliability test results show Cronbach's alpha 0.886 result means the entire question item in the Self-transcendence Scale questionnaire is valid and reliable.     RABIES PREVENTIONS IN HUMANS IN THE WORKING AREA OF EAST TOMONI PUBLIC HEALTH CENTER

    Background: Rabies is a deadly disease that is transmitted from animals to humans and attacks the central nervous system (WHO, 2016). Data reported by the World Animal Health Organization (OIE) revealed that the global human death rate due to rabies is almost 70 thousand per year. In other words, every ten minutes one person in the world dies from the virus. Objectives: This study aimed to find out the knowledge and prevention of rabies carried out by the community around the East Tomoni Public Health Center. Methods: This study was conducted in the working area of East Tomoni Public Health Center by involving 390 participants in August 2020.  Data was collected using simple random sampling. The instrument of this study is questionnaire. Statistical test method used to know independent variables are  univariat analysis and bivariat analysis. Results: The majority of good knowledge as much as 351 (90%) respondents were less Knowledge while 39 (10%) respondents. Good attitude as many as 318 (81.5%) Respondents have a pretty good attitude as many as 72 (18.5%) Respondents. Good rabies prevention measures were 347 respondents (88.9%) while those who had less rabies prevention measures were 43 (11.02%) respondents. The results of the study using the Pearson Chi-Square test showed that the level of knowledge was p-value = 0.000 (α < 0.05) means there is a relationship between the level of knowledge and rabies prevention measures in the work area of ​​the Tomoni Timur Public Health Center, whereas, the attitude with the Pearson Chi-Square test shows that the attitude of p-value = 0.000 (α < 0.05) means that there is a relationship between attitude and rabies prevention measures in the working area of ​​the Tomoni Community Health Center. Conclusion: There is a relationship between knowledge and attitudes of the community and rabies prevention in the East Tomoni Community Health Center

    Background: The spread of COVID-19 has continued to increase since March 2020. Patients with chronic kidney failure who undergo Hemodialysis are one of the groups vulnerable to COVID-19 because they routinely undergo Hemodialysis. One of the ways to prevent transmission of COVID-19 to hemodialysis patients is by providing education to comply with the COVID-19 prevention Health protocol. Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of virtual education on Hemodialysis patient compliance in preventing covid-19 transmission at the Muhammadiyah Hospital in Lamongan. Methods: This study used the Pre-Experiment approach one group pre-test post-test design on all CKD patients who were routine Hemodialysis at Muhammadiyah Lamongan Hospital from October - December 2020 who were taken using the purposive sampling technique. The intervention given was playing educational videos for 2 months. Data were collected using a questionnaire before and after the intervention, which was tested by the Wilcoxon test with α <0.05. Results: There were 69 patients who took part in the entire processes until it was completed. The results revealed that there were differences in the level of compliance of hemodialysis patients before and after treatment (p = 0.000). Further research with larger sample and RCT design is needed for stronger generalization in population. Conclusion: Providing educational videos can increase the level of compliance of hemodialysis patients in implementing Health protocols to prevent transmission of COVID-19

    SOCIETY DIMENSIONS REVIEWED FROM LOSS & GRIEVING IN COVID-19 PANDEMIC ERA

    Background: Covid-19 pandemic has spread across the world and is having an impact globally. The rules for handling the Covid-19 pandemic force people to change their habits and patterns of daily life. Covid-19 has brought dramatic changes to our lives, including many losses. However, change or transition experienced by the community due to the Covid-19 pandemic can cause loss and grief (Rosyanti&Hadi, 2020). Objectives: This study aims to determine society dimension variables with loss and grief in Covid-19 pandemic era. Methods: Correlational analytic with cross sectional approach. A sample of 278 respondents with accidental sampling technique. The instrument used a questionnaire distributed by social media which included data on community dimensions and instrument loss and grieving community facing the Covid-19 pandemic. The validity and reliability of the research instrument were tested using the Cronbach's Alpha test.  Descriptive analysis with process analysis, analytic analysis with chi square test and Spearman's Rho at a significance level of 5%. Results: Based on age, adolescence to early adult are mostly in the anger stage (33.3%), adult and the elderly range are in the Bargaining stage (50.76-70%). Based on gender, male (48.4%) and female (57.2%) are in the Bargaining stage. Based on the education: basic until higher education, more than half of them are in the Bargaining stage (42.8-54.4%). Based on occupation, most respondents who do not work are in the anger stage (50%) government employees, general employees, self-employed and still in school are in the Bargaining stage (47.2-61.8%). Conclusion: The length of time the incident occurred, the cultural context, the similarity of policies, and the territorial background of the Indonesian State greatly influenced the loss and grieving stages, making the majority of the grieving stages in the Bargaining stage

    THE RELATIONSHIP OF PHYSICAL DISTANCING WITH MENTAL HEALTH OF INDONESIAN COMMUNITY DURING COVID-19

    Background: The spread of the COVID-19 virus has spread widely throughout the world, which affects various aspects (Lebov et al., 2017). Several aspects affected by the transmission of the COVID-19 virus are psychological / mental health impacts caused by the implementation of policies from various countries in the form of a physical distancing system (Ornell, Schuch, Sordi, & Kessler, 2020). Objectives: Analyze the relationship between physical distancing and the mental health of Indonesian community during Covid-19. Methods: The cross-sectional study design. The sample of the study was the Indonesian people affected by the covid-19 pandemic who were taken based on purposive sampling with complete answer criteria as many as 1,090 respondents. The research instrument consisted of 2 questionnaires, including: a method questionnaire in physical distancing practices methods consisting of 11 items of physical distancing application to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus as recommended by World Health Organization. The Self-Reporting Questionnaire-29 is a questionnaire issued by the Directorate of Mental Health Services of the Indonesian Ministry of Health with the domains of anxiety and depression, psychomatics, symptoms of psychotic disorders, trauma stress. Parametric statistical tests used the Pearson test (p-value < 0.05). Results: The results obtained a p-value of 0.03, which means that there is a physical distancing relationship with the mental health of the Indonesian people during Covid-19. Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between physical distancing and the mental health of the Indonesian people. Recommendations for health workers, especially nurses in providing health services to the community, must be more comprehensive and recognize client responses to prevent psychological impacts

    Health workers who are handling patient of SARS-CoV-2 (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Corona Virus 2) or better known as the Coronavirus are legal subjects who carry out their obligations properly at their leader command, ruled accordance with the legal corridors, obtained the law right and protected from positive legal norms. This narrative research aims juridical review for protection the health workers during coronavirus pandemic. Using literature that obtained by looking materials and sources that match the theme and related them. Protection of health workers as the frontline in efforts to accelerate the handling of the coronavirus pandemic. Civil Servants who served during the Covid-19 pandemic will get a promotion one level higher. The incentive budget for medical personnel comes from a budget reallocation that has been set by Mr. President Joko Widodo for 16.63 trillion in 2020. This award is in the form of compensation and for health workers who fail, the government awards “Bintang Jasa Pratama†and “Bintang Jasa Nararyaâ€. The government provides protection by issuing various policies to protect health workers as the frontline in efforts to accelerate the handling of coronavirus disease 2019.   Keywords: Health workers, legal protection, Covid-19

    Background: This pandemic has caused many changes in various aspects of life including education. This change happened so fast and did not allow us to make preparations and anticipation so that the impact would not be so great. Learning at this time is more directed at modernization activities with the help of advanced technology with the hope of helping students digest lecture material in an interactive, productive, effective, inspirational, constructive, and fun way. Objective: The aim of the research was to prove the effectiveness of e-learning during the Covid-19 pandemic on the learning motivation of students in the Nursing Study Program at STIKES Bina Sehat PPNI Mojokerto. Methods: The research design used in this research is comparative exploratory which is used to describe and mention the differences and similarities of the subject under study. The sampling technique in this study used simple random sampling approach. The sample in this study was partly students in semester 6, with a sample size of 120 respondents. Collecting data using a questionnaire. This questionnaire is a modification of the previous questionnaire from Nursalam (2016) with a likert scale distributed by google form. Results: Based on the data on the effectiveness of E-Learning, most of the respondents answered that it was quite effective as many as 79 respondents or 66%, while the motivation of the students was mostly less motivated in learning as many as 89 respondents or 75%. Spearman Rho Statistical Test are obtained ? = 0.000 with the Correlation Coefficient (r) = 0.318 which indicates a weak relationship. Conclusion: The presence of online learning methods (E-Learning) makes students motivated to learn again. During this pandemic period, it is hoped that students will remain motivated to learn and continue to attend lectures through E-Learning with various media

    THE EFFECT OF HEALTH EDUCATION ON ADOLESCENT KNOWLEDGE ABOUT ANEMIA

    Background: Anemia experienced by young women often occurs when they are menstruating. Young women must have knowledge about these conditions, so that they can overcome these problems properly. Objectives: The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of health education on the level of knowledge of adolescents about anemia. Methods: The research design used in this study was pre-experimental with a one-group pre-post test design approach. This research was conducted at the Islamic Boarding School of Tahfizh Putri Alfirdaus Hidayatullah, Sekardangan, Sidoarjo on February 28, 2021. The sampling technique used in this study was total sampling. The number of samples in this study were 24 respondents. This study uses health education materials about anemia for the treatment given and a modified questionnaire from Zulaekah's (2007) knowledge level questionnaire with a Cronbach Alpha value of .594. This research was conducted by providing health education to respondents about anemia. Before the health education was carried out, the researcher conducted a pre-test to measure the respondent's level of knowledge. After the health education was carried out, the researcher conducted a post-test to evaluate the respondents' level of knowledge about anemia. The statistical test carried out in this study is the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test with significant level ? < 0.05. Results: Based on data analysis using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test, it was found that there was an effect of health education on the level of adolescent knowledge about anemia (p-value = .011). Conclusion: It is important to provide health education about anemia to young women, so that they can find out what conditions they experience when they are anemic due to menstruation. Health workers are expected to provide this health education through health counseling or education
