The marine goddess in East Asia : introduction of the Maso-belief in the Kyushu and Ryukyu lslands of Japan

During the 11th and 12th centuries, China, Japan, Ryukyu, and Korea, located in the vicinity of each other in the East China Sea, had already formed a sphere of trade based on the sea traffic. This study mainly treats the Maso-belief, which was considered to be related to a typical marine goddess, in the East China Sea region. Belief in this goddess is widely held in various places, not only in the East China Sea area but also in Southeast Asia. This belief system was brought to Japan in the Middle Ages by the Chinese. The purpose of this study is to consider how the Maso-belief intruded into Japan, by examining its historical background. This study also identifies certain features of the marine goddess in East Asia and discusses how this form of belief has been received and transformed in Japan.departmental bulletin pape
Philological study of the Tale of Goetsu in the Otogizoshi-Goetsu
Get PDFapplication/pdf論文(Article)The Taiheiki is Japanese historical epic of a period of war that occurred during the second half of the 14th century. Another work, Otogizoshi-Goetsu. Is a Japanese prose narrative of a story that took place during the 5th centuries BC. These two works contain the Tale of Goetsu. In the Goetsu-tale, the king of Etsu is defeated at Kaikeizan. Despite great trials and tribulations, after several years, he seeks revenge against the enemy, the king of Go. There are two literary texts in Otogizoshi-Goetsu : the Koukeibon and the Kokugakuinbon. In this philological paper, which combines the approaches of literary criticism, history, and linguistics, I first analyze the language used in these two historical texts. As a result of my analysis, I determine that the Kokugakuinbon is a better text for historical interpretation because the Koukeibon is a text written in a later period. The Koukeibon had been altered to allow for transparency and ease of understanding. Secondly, I compare the Taiheiki with the Otogizoshi-Goetsu. There are only three remarkable differences between these two works, which have inclination: supplemental episodes have been added to the Otogizoshi-Goetsu, particularly in the case where the story context is obscure in the Taiheik. The Otogizoshi-Goetsu has been changed because of the intellectual curiosity of its readers. 日本では観光ビジネスにおいて旅行会社が果たす役割が非常に大きいのであるが、コト
ラーの著書では、アメリカの現状に合わせてホテルの役割を重視して記述がなされてい
るからである。また、旅行形態や観光形態に関して細分化の作業が十分ではない。こう
した点から、日本における観光マーケティング原理確立のためには、コトラー理論の検
証が必要である。Philip Kotler is considered to be one of the greatest in the field of study for marketing. His work
"Marketing Management" is a monumental one in that field. He also broadened the concept of
marketing. For example, "Marketing for Hospitality&Tourism" was published on tourism. But
can we Japanese consent to the effectiveness of his theory in Japan? In his work the importance
of hotel is emphasized, but on the other side, there are few references on travel agency. It is
probably suited to the actual condition in USA. In Japan travel agency plays an important role in

Estimating income distribution function with GMM
Get PDFapplication/pdfIn this article, we propose GMM estimation method of income distribution with classified data. The method uses class intervals, frequencies and class means. As a result, it is found that the information from class means have an effect on the estimates with GMM.
