Social isolation among elderly persons living alone : Current status in suburban cities, depopulated areas， and remote islands
Get PDFapplication/pdfThis study aimed to conduct an analysis based on a survey performed in 4 municipalities which investigated social isolation among elderly persons living alone. This study was conducted as collaborative research between the Minami-Nippon Shimbun and International University of Kagoshima in September 2011, and obtained sample data from 1,000 cases with the support of local welfare staff members. Although economic deprivation is often considered the greatest risk factor for social isolation among elderly persons, this study also focused on differences between urban and depopulated areas to analyze the data. As the results, the level of social activities and sense of isolation were particularly affected by the level of income. This was marked in depopulated areas, where infrastructure has not been improved compared to urban areas.論文(Article)departmental bulletin pape

She collaborated very much with the people in Kagoshima in their receiving a fresh way of American democracy amid the post-war conditions they had. When she returned home in the USA after her years in Kagoshima and Fukuoka, she continued her own correspondence with Kagoshima people. In 2006, she offered a lot of documents and letters which she made and got in Japan and then in home to the Library of the International University of Kagoshima. An examination of staff members' expertise on the child development support project (day service for children) : an analysis based on a quality investigation of full-time staff with less than three years' experience
Get PDFapplication/pdf論文(Article)In this study, we examined the current status of changes in two full-time staff' members' awareness of expertise acquired during their introductory period, from pre-employment to post-employment education. The staff members have less than three years' experience working at Day Service for Children. We found that the staff members' awareness of the expertise necessary for early childhood intervention is in an ambiguous state. We considered that this may be related to the separation of issues related to the interaction between subjective learning and experience, an individual's ability to extract / select knowledge regarding early childhood intervention, and the acquisition period necessary to attain knowledge and techniques. During the pre- and post-employment stages, the staff members were aware of their expertise in comparison to their own careers and experience, which had begun as an awareness of a target person and later developed into a role / support methodology. In addition, there turned out to be a timing gap that had arisen between the awareness of the acquisition of expertise immediately after employment, and there were also psychological fluctuations in the process. It came to light that the change in each staff members' awareness of expertise would undergo changes while maintaining the order of "undifferentiation" → "differentiation" → "integration," similar to the developmental principle.departmental bulletin pape

Get PDFapplication/pdf日本の観光現場において有効とされるような観光マーケティングの理論は存在するだろうか？一般的に言って、日本でのマーケティング理論はアメリカの理論を下敷きとしている。観光マーケティングにおいては、日本とアメリカではかなりの事情の違いがある。ここを踏まえなくては日本における観光マーケティング理論の確立は覚束ない。具体的に言えば、私たちは旅行形態・観光形態を重要な要素と考えるべきである。私たちがマーケティングについて考えようとするとき、アメリカのマーケティング理論はＳＴＰ、すなわち細分化、標的設定、ポジショニングが最初に重要視され、その後具体的な手段としてマーケティング･ミックス(製品、価格、プロモーション、流通チャネル)が必要なのだとされる。しかし､日本における観光マーケティングに関していえば、私たちはまずツーリズムの様態、すなわちマス・ツーリズムかスモール・ツーリズムかを決定する必要がある。もちろん、この決定をするに際して私たちがいくつかの側面においての細分化の手法について知っていることは望ましいことではある。私たちはまた、一人の人間の実際の旅行場面を思い描いてみるべきである。例えば一人の医師がいるとして、彼は家族との旅行をするであろうし、経営する病院の職場旅行に付き合うことになるかもしれない。また医師仲間と親睦旅行で出かけることもあれば、彼がメンバーとなっているロータリークラブの国際大会参加旅行でアメリカに出かけるかもしれない。こうした面からの細部化手法が明確にされる必要がある。Is there any theory of tourism marketing being effective on the actual tourism spot in Japan? Generally speaking, the theory of marketing in Japan is based on the American theory. Especially in the field of tourism marketing, we find some differences between Japan and America. Concretely speaking, we should regard the form of travel and tourism as an important element. When we think of marketing, the American theory shall teach us the importance of STP and marketing mix. But as for tourism marketing in Japan, we should determine at first the condition of tourism, that is to say, mass tourism or small tourism.
