Plants of Biroujima
Get PDFapplication/pdf枇榔島は、志布志湾沖約4kmに位置し、周囲約4km、面積17.8ha最高標高は83mである。ビロウをはじめ亜熱帯の植物が繁茂しているため、1956(昭和31)年7月国の特別天然記念物に指定されている。
今回の調査で54科112種の植物物(シダ植物5科15種､裸子植物2科2種、双子葉植物38科71種、単子葉植物9科24種)を観察した。
特記すべき植物はビロウ、ナンゴクウラシマソウ、ハマアザミである。
調査日：2015年5月17日Plants of Biroujma are 54 family 112 species (Pteridophyta 5 family 15 species, Gymnospermae 2 family 2 species, Dicotyledoneae 38 family 71 species, Monocotyledoneae 9 family 24 species) in this investigation.

"The power of imagination regarding old age and death" preface (I)
Get PDFapplication/pdf本稿は、「老いと死をめぐる想像力」をテーマとする拙稿を集成した論文の序章の前半にあたる。本稿は、まず、文学者の優れた想像力・洞察力・表現力によって、老いや死の問題を現前化させる力に着目し、文学との「領域横断性」に触れる。主に、旧約聖書の「ヨブ記』とＭ,ヴェーバーの『プロテスタンテイズムの倫理と資本主義の精神」を中心に据え、その後､論文が抱えている4つの課題を提示する。第1の課題、すなわち「なぜ民俗学の素材を使用するのか」が最も重要な位置を占める。というのは､この部分が論文の構成にストレートに関わるからである。他の課題とは､第2に「文学的想像力と社会学的想像力の架橋可能性とは｣、第3に「死者と生者の関係性に着目するとは｣、第4に「ジェンダーの視点では何を具体的に考察するのか」であるが、本稿は第一の民俗学に関わる課題のみを扱う。This document will serve as the first half of the preface to "Discussion," a collection of my work that addresses the theme of "the power of imagination regarding old age and death." This piece will focus on the power possessed by writers—through outstanding imagination, insight, and expression—to introduce the issues of old age and death to the public and allude to the "cross-disciplinary nature" of literature. Primarily centered on the Old Testament's Book of Job and M. Weber's The Protestant Ethic and the Spirit of Capitalism (Die protestantische Ethik und der 'Geist' des Kapitalismus), I present four questions with which the works in "Discussion" engage with. The first question is "Why use folkloristic materials?" This question occupies the primary position because it is directly related to the structure of the subsequent studies. The other questions include the following: "What is the potential for bridge-building between the literary and sociological power of imagination?" "What does it mean to focus on the relation between the living and the dead?" and "What is specifically considered from the perspective of gender?" Social interaction, supporting system, disaster prevention measures, and medical system of an island villages : a survey of the middle-aged and elderly persons living in Sumiyo Town of Amami City
Get PDFapplication/pdf本研究の目的は奄美市住用町における中高年者の社会的かかわり状況と、見守り体制、災害への備え、医療体制などの現状と課題をアンケート調査により把握し、地域課題の改善に役立てることである。郵送調査により、５５歳以上74歳以下の476人を調査対象とし、175人から回答を得た（回収率36.8％)。
回答者は夫婦世帯が多く、世帯収入は年金が多かった。地域の交流は少し減ってきていたが、地域への愛着は高かった。家族との交流、近所づき合い、相談相手、役割などは女性の方が男性よりも良好であった。見守りは自然な形でなされていたが、見守り体制作りへの要求もあった。集落の防災組織はうまく機能しているが、避難所の確保や水害対策などに課題を残していた。医療体制については診療所への肯定的評価がある一方、緊急医療や専門医療への要望が強かった。地域の課題では買い物が不便とか自然災害に弱いなど社会的・自然的課題があった。The purpose of the study was to assess the present state of the social interaction, the supporting system, the disaster prevention measures, and the medical system in Sumiyo Town of Amami City. A questionnaire was personally mailed to 476 residents of 55 to 74-year-old and later returned. The number of people who responded to the questionnaire was 175 and the rate of collection was 36.8%.
The respondents to this survey were mostly couple households and their income was mainly a pension. Neighborhood interaction decreased a little. An attachment to the local community was strong. Social interaction of women (e.g. contact with family member, relations with neighbors, having counsel, and having active role) was stronger than men. Although there were spontaneous watch over activities in a natural way, the respondents hoped to have a supporting system for them. The voluntary organizations for disaster prevention were well functioned, but there were issues of making a safe shelter and establishing flood-control measures. With respect to the medical system, there was a satisfaction with the community clinic, but on the other hand, there remained demands for an emergency medical system and a specialized medical service. There were also social and natural problems that the shopping was inconvenient, the town was prone to natural disasters, and so on.論文(Article)departmental bulletin pape

"Dependent attitude" emerging from the pokkuri shinko folk belief or "Belief in sudden death" : human nature living between rationality and irrationality
Get PDFapplication/pdf有吉佐和子の「悦惚の人』が、1970年代にベストセラーとなり、この作品に登場する老人のように、下の世話までされて逝きたくなとの思いの表出が､「ぽっくり信仰」を「流行習俗」にしたと言われた。「ぽっくり信仰」は祈祷を受けた下着を身につければ「安楽往生」ができるとの現世利益にすがった俗信にすぎない。通常、我々は合理的に思考し行動しているように見えながら、人事ではいかんともしがたい場面に遭遇したとき、無意識のうちに祈ったり、お守りを握ったりして、「すがる心性」を己の中に見出すことがありえよう。筆者は８年にわたり全国各地の「ぽっくり信仰」の現地調査を行ってきた。この知見をもとに､合理と非合理に足を突っ込み生きる人間のあり様を考えたい。と同時に、この信仰が「嫁不要信仰」「嫁楽信仰」と呼ばれることから、ジェンダーの視点からも考えてみたい。In the 1970s, Sawako Ariyoshi's Kokotsu no Hito (The Twilight Years) became a bestseller. It is believed that, as expressed by the elderly characters in this work, the feeling of not wanting to die in a condition where others take care of one's excretory needs popularized the expression pokkuri shinko or "belief in sudden death." Pokkuri shinko is a folk belief regarding dependence on genseriyaku (the worldly benefit gained in this lifetime) in which one can die an "easy death" if one wears blessed underwear. In general, we appear to think and act rationally; however, when we encounter unavoidable circumstances in human affairs, we pray, buy good luck charms, and discover a "dependent attitude" within ourselves. The author conducted field surveys on pokkuri shinko in various areas all over Japan for eight years. Based on the data obtained, this study explores the condition of people caught between rationality and irrationality. This belief is also simultaneously termed yome fuyo shinko or the "belief that a daughter-in-law is unnecessary" and yome raku shinko or the "belief that the daughter-in-law's life is easy" and therefore, the author discusses this issue from the gender perspective as well.論文(Article)departmental bulletin pape
The helping professionals' internal development through engagement in an alcohol meeting
Get PDFapplication/pdfアルコールに代表される依存症は、人間関係の病であり、その援助に際しては、援助者自身の成長が重要となる。しかしこれまで援助者の成長に焦点をあてた先行研究はみられない。そこで本研究では、ある精神病院内で１３年間継続して実施されてきたアルコールミーティングにおける体験を中心にして、参加者の中から特に援助者の語りを通してみえてくる援助者の変容に焦点を当てることで、援助者が依存症援助に携わるに際し、求められる態度を明らかにすることを目的とした。様々な医療機関で行われたアルコールミーティングに携わる援助専門家の発言を対象に分析を行った結果､発言内容は「審判的態度」「誤解による無理解」「気づき」「変化」「共感」「スーパーヴァイザーによる示唆」の６つに分類された。これらのデータに基づき、依存症者から学ぶことで非審判的態度を身につけることが援助者としての成長につながることが示唆された。Alcoholics often have difficulties with relationships and in accepting the alcoholism treatment. It is usually a little difficult for the helping professionals to understand the alcoholic's behavior; therefore, internal development of helping professionals is important for better understanding of themselves and effective management of alcoholics in alcoholism treatment. However, research on the helping professionals' internal development in not to be found. The objective of this study was to clarify the attitude expected of a helping professional. This was done by analyzing a narrative of a helping professional who was engaged in an alcohol meeting. As a consequence of this, we clarified 6 themes: "dominant attitude," "incomprehension due to misunderstanding," "awareness," "empathy," and "suggestion by a supervisor. "We are of the opinion that people who engage in alcoholic treatments could grow as helping professionals by learning how to adopt a non-dominant attitude through engagements in alcohol meetings.論文(Article)departmental bulletin pape
