Student learning during practical training in mental health welfare
Get PDFapplication/pdf本研究は鹿児島国際大学の実習教育の概要を紹介すること、また、学生へのアンケートについてKJ法を参考に分析し、実習生の学びを明らかにすることを目的としている。対象者は、同意のとれた16名の卒業生であった。自由記述の内容をカード化したところ、107枚のカードが得られ､66個の小グループ、16個の中グループ、７つの大グループにグループ編成がなされた。分析の結果、実習生は、精神科病院の管理的環境や長期入院が患者にもたらしている影響、そして多職種連携により患者のストレングスに焦点を当てた積極的なカンファレンスと治療について学んでいた。実習生は困難を抱えつつも笑顔の当事者と関わり当事者の経験について話を聞き、また精神保健福祉士や看護師、医師などからの話を聞く中で、自己覚知を深めていた。実習生のこのような学びと自己覚知から教員は実習生を指導しつつも彼らからも学ぶという相互作用の重要性が示唆された。This study introduces an overview of the practical training program currently being conducted at the International University of Kagoshima, and examined students' experiences.
Students completed a questionnaire containing free writing questions, which was analyzed qualitatively using the KJ method. A total of 16 students responded. Their responses were organized into 7 major categories.
Students learned about the influences of the administrative environment of psychiatric hospitals and long-term hospitalization on patients. Furthermore, they learned about the aggressive efforts of staff to promote patients' strengths, and deepened their self-awareness by listening to narratives of staff and other parties.
The results suggest the importance of the interaction between teacher's instruction and students' learning, and how teachers can learn from students' learning.論文(Article)departmental bulletin pape

A study on the current state of employment in mentally disabled : the gateway to promoting the employment of people with developmental disorders
Get PDFapplication/pdfIn this study, the current employment situation of people with developmental disorders was surveyed on the basis of the statistical studies conducted by the government. It is assumed that people with developmental disorder accounted for about 8% of the disabled people at home between the ages of 18 and 64 years. People diagnosed with developmental disorders account for about 9% of the people certified with mental disabilities. The number of mentally handicapped employees has been increasing, but many of them prove to be short-time workers. It is presumed that the following two factors make it difficult to elucidate the employment situation of people with developmental disorders. When high function developmental disorders underlie schizophrenia or depression, the diagnosis will be more complex. In addition, no certificate has yet been officially issued for people with developmental disorders. In order to promote the employment of those people, not only must administrative agencies take measures to support their workplace settlement, but efforts of the employers are also necessary.論文(Article)departmental bulletin pape
A study of "adj+descending" and "adj+ascending" in modern Chinese in semantics and time
Get PDFapplication/pdfThe “ascending” and “descending” in modern Chinese can not only be used as predicates, but also can be used as directional verbs followed by verbs and adjectives. Following the adjective, the verbs indicate the quality and state of the object and also have temporal meaning. So far, the study with time as an object is very rare. In this paper, it marks the structure of the “adjective + directional verb” with the form of “adj + descending” and “adj + ascending”, taking the time characteristics into the exploration content, and discusses the similarities and differences in the two aspects of semantics and time.
On the semantic side, the “adj + descending” indicates the downward continuation and parallel continuation. The downward continuation implies the negative semantics, while the parallel continuation implies the positive semantics. On the other hand, “adj + ascending” means the beginning of ascending and the process of ascending. The beginning and process of ascending carries positive semantics.
In time, the downward continuation can be further divided into the continuation of the state and the persistence of the result. Parallel continuation only indicates the continuation of the state. On the other hand, the temporal characteristics of “adj + ascending” is: if it is the beginning of ascending, it is persistence of the properties or degree; if it is the process of ascending, it is continuation.論文(Article)departmental bulletin pape

A forecast of future population trends and home vacancies over a period of 30 years from 2017 to 2047 in a rural farming community in Kagoshima Japan
Get PDFapplication/pdfThis paper makes a detailed forecast of future population trends and home vacancies in a single rural farming community in southern Japan. We find that this apparently thriving community is, in fact, shrinking steadily and in danger of eventual extinction. Conservative estimates show a population loss of 59% over the next 30 years with 69% of the currently occupied households becoming vacant during that same period. Meanwhile there are very few couples of child-bearing age to potentially replenish the population and keep the local elementary school from closing its doors. Under these circumstances, drastic action is required in order to maintain anything approaching the status quo. In conclusion, this paper looks at the many cultural, psychological and financial challenges the community will have to address and overcome if it is to remain viable.論文(Article)departmental bulletin pape
