Study of The Integrated Community Care System based on the Aspirations of Residents Living in Depopulated Mountainous Area
application/pdfThis study involved the conduction of interviews with elderly residents inhabiting depopulated mountainous areas of Kagoshima Prefecture. The objective of this study is to elucidate the optimal structure for The Integrated Community Care System that is congruent with the aspirations of residents in mountainous and sparsely populated rural areas. The analysis revealed that the region’s strengths include “self- and mutual support” and “the presence of healthcare professionals who provide a sense of security.” However, concerns regarding the future were also expressed, including “anxiety about transportation and access to systems” and “resignation due to the lack of support reaching them.” The findings suggest the need for flexible and individualized service support that leverages the region’s strengths. “The Integrated Community Care System aligned with residents’ aspirations” can be defined as a system that respects the lives of each resident and enables support based on their intrinsic values. In the future, we will continue to pay attention to their voices and work towards the concrete implementation of this system through ongoing verification and implementation.論文(Article)departmental bulletin pape
