Estará dividido en dos partes, en primer lugar trataremos los conceptos de lectura, comprensión y aprendizaje de la misma y la segunda parte, estará relacionada con las estrategias de comprensión lectora necesarias para los lectores. La lectura es uno de los grandes retos abordados en la escuela de hoy en día. La enseñanza de calidad de los diferentes procesos que propician una adecuada comprensión lectora es crucial para el alumno, ya que una lectura correcta es imprescindible para poseer autonomía en la sociedad actual.The article is a summary of the book "Reading Strategies" by Isabel Solé. It will be divided in two parts, taking first into account the concept of reading, of reading comprehension and the acquisition of them. The second part will deal with the reading strategies that readers will need to acquire to follow up the text. A good reading comprehension among students is one of the school's goals. The quality teaching of the different precesses is vital for students because a good reading level is basic to reach autonomy in today's society

Se analiza brevemente el contexto histórico, centrándose en los aspectos sociales, económicos y políticos, y en los sucesos más relevantes que tuvieron lugar antes, durante y después de dicho gobierno, para así comprender las aspiraciones sociales agresivas que caracterizaron a la sociedad británica desde los 70 hasta los 80, y que se retratan en 3 películas diferentes: "Abigail's Party", "High Hopes" y "The Ploughman's Lunch".This paper attempts to look into the cinematic representation of the psychosocial situation of the working classes during the premiership of Margaret Thatcher as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom (1979-1990). A brief historical and contextual background is provided, focusing on the most relevant social, economic and political aspects and events taking place before and during the time, so as to comprehend the aggressive social aspirations that characterized British citizenship from the 70s to the 80s, which are portrayed in three different movies, namely, 'Abigail’s Party' and 'High Hopes' by Mike Leigh, and 'The Ploughman’s Lunch' by Ian McEwan

Get PDFDado que las TIC son extremadamente beneficiosas dentro y fuera del contexto escolar, y es escasa la información que existe sobre por qué las estudiantes tienden a estar por detrás de sus homólogos masculinos en cuanto a su uso, este artículo analiza el rol del profesorado de secundaria, quienes, en numerosas ocasiones, promueven y mantienen los estereotipos asociados a las diferencias de género, y cuyo comportamiento (consciente o inconscientemente) sitúa a las adolescentes en un segundo plano en cuanto a las TIC se refiere.Since ICT are extremely advantageous in and out of the school context and very little is known about the reasons why female students seem to be backward if compared with their male counterparts and missing many of these technological benefits; this review analyses what the scientific literature produces regarding the role of secondary teachers who, in many occasions, act as developers and maintainers of many of these gender differences and stereotypes, and whose behavior towards students –consciously or unconsciously- places girls in a second position when it comes to ICT
