Hydrogel Nanocomposites with Silver Nanoparticles
Copolymer hydrogels based on acrylic monomers (primarily acrylamide and acrylonitrile) are synthesized and their physicochemical properties are investigated. Methods of incorporation of nanoparticles of gold and silver into hydrogel pores and methods of their stabilization using reagents of different nature are developed. Our studies showed pronounced bactericidal properties of the nanocomposites regarding gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria and, at the same time, their biocompatibility to stem cells
Synthesis of Potential Inhibitors of InhA with Pyrrolidine-2,5-dione Core Fragment and Evaluation of their Biological Activity
We report here the discovery, synthesis and screening results of the series of 3-bulky substituted pyrrolidine-2,5-dione derivatives as a novel class of potential inhibitors on InhA, a key enzyme involved in the fatty acid biosynthesis pathway (type II) of M. tuberculosis as well as inhibitors of Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37Rv
New hydrogen-sensitive films based on V2O5 and WO3 with Pt catalyst
Optical properties of the films of vanadium and tungsten oxides in a gas atmosphere, containing hydrogen, have been investigated. Films have been synthesized by electrodeposition and chemical deposition from aqueous solutions. Vanadium (V) oxide films and tungsten (VI) oxide films with a platinum catalyst reversibly change their color being exposed to hydrogen. The present work show promising use for such films as sensitive optical elements for gas sensors
Photoelectric and Spectral Properties of Composite Films based on GCBE-Oligomer with Different Concentrations of Polymethine Dyes
Thin film of composites based on N-epoxypropylcarbazole and n-butylglycidyl ether co-oligomer (GCBE) sensitized by various concentrations of cationic polymethine dyes with different polymethine chain length have been prepared. Their photophysical, electrical, and spectral properties have been investigated. All studied composite films have been shown to exhibited photoconductivity effect. In film composites with high concentration of the dye photovoltaic effect have been detected. The diffusion nature of this effect and its features correlation with electronic properties of PCFs components has been established
Aromatic Structure Influence on the Selectivity of Substituted Methacryloylaminophenylmethacrylates Free-Radical Polymerization
A new dimethacrylic monomer with biphenylbenzoate-type aromatic core was tested to the possibility to carry out its selective homopolymerization under conditions of thermoinitiated radical polymerization in DMF solution. The kinetics of thermo-induced radical homopolymerization of this monomer as well as some model compounds were studied by dilatometry. The preferring polymerization of O-methacryloyl double bond was proved by 1H NMR spectroscopy
SiC Nanofibers in Canals and Pores of Cordierite Honeycomb Material as a Support for Catalyst in CO-PROX Reaction
The Cu–Co oxide system supported on SiC nanofibers deposited on cordierite was studied in the CO oxidation reaction in the presence of hydrogen
Hydantoins Derived from Ketopinic and 4-camphorcarboxylic Acids
Diastereospecific formation of hydantoins from ketopinic and 4-camphorcarboxylic acids under Bucherer-Bergs reaction conditions has been investigated. The easiness of this transformation provides a straightforward synthetic pathway to enantiopure conformationally rigid amino acids derivatives, as well as functionalized hydantoins, starting from inexpensive and easily available natural camphor
Regioselective Raction of 1-(arylimino)-1H-isoindol-3-amines with Aryl isocyanates
Aryl isocyanates were found to react regioselectively with 1-(arylimino)-1H-isoindol-3-amines by exocyclic nitrogen atom of amino group to form N-phenyl-N'-[3-(arylimino)-2,3-dihydro-1H-isoindol-1-ylidene]ureas in high yields. The structure of compounds formed was surelyconfirmed by 1H NMR spectra and NOE experiments
Holographic Recording Media based on Electron Donor Oligomers
For optical holographic recording by photothermoplastic technique reversible holographic media based on oligomers with hole type of conductivity are used. New carbazole containing radial tetrasubstituted silanes and germanes are described in the present work
The synthesis of Benzoazines on the base of o-Bromomethylbenzophenone derivatives
Convenient and efficient methods for the preparation of novel phthalazine and pyrazino[1,2-b]isoquinoline derivatives are reported that utilized the reaction of [2-(bromomethyl)phenyl](4-chlorophenyl)methanone with 1,2-dinucleophiles. The crystal structure for 11-(4-Chlorophenyl)-1-oxo-1,2-dihydropyrazino[1,2-b]isoquinolin-5-ium bromide is also described
