Ternary Rhenium(I) Complexes: from Fluorescent Reporters to Interesting Scaffolds for Dual-Imaging Heterobimetallic Probes

    Get PDF
Five ternary tricarbonylrhenium(I) complexes based on a pyridinetriazole moiety, so called pyta, were synthesized and spectroscopically characterized. The photophysical properties of these cationic complexes of general formula, [Re(CO)3(pyta-COOMe)L] (L = substituted pyridine derivatives) have been investigated, as well. Three of them are fluorescent and could be considered as interesting scaffolds for the preparation of dual-imaging heterobimetallic species

Alkanes and Alkyls: their Structural Isomers, Clanes and Cycle Indices

    Get PDF
Alkanes are investigated in every detail, that any original news about them seems more and more sophisticated and complicated [1]. Newertheless this area of organic chemistry remains quite mysterious and attractive. Some bases of the enumeration of the isomer numbers have been included into the course books for students of Kiev National Taras Shevchenko University [2 – 3]. We are suggesting here two new aspects of the alkanes struсture and topology, discussing them together with alkyls

Thermochemistry of Al-Si-Fe(Co, Ni) Ternary Melts

    Get PDF
The thermochemical properties of Al-Co-Si liquid alloys remain unexplored. Therefore, to estimate the interaction characteristics of liquid Al-Co-Si alloys we have simulated the mixing enthalpies, using the regular approximation and applying "geometric" model by Bonnier-Caboz

Dielectric Conductivity of Cross-Linked Polyurethanes Modified with Heteropolynuclear Cu3Mn Complexes

    Get PDF
The dielectric and relaxation properties of cross-linked polyurethane, modified with heteropolynuclear Cu3Mn(L4) complexes with various ligands in outer coordination sphere were analyzed by dielectric relaxation spectroscopy. It was shown, that the modifier introduction in polyurethane leads to conductivity level increasing due to: i) complex formation between functional groups of polyurethane and heteropolynuclear compounds and ii) increase in the macrochain mobility

Michael addition of heteronucleophilic substances to N – Ar substituted maleimides: green approach

    Get PDF
A new method for the preparation of the adducts of aromatic hetero nucleophiles (NH, SH, ОH) to the activated C=C bond of N-aryl-substituted maleimides using Michael reaction was developed. A possibility to obtain mono-adducts was demonstrated for 2-aminopyridine derivatives. It was proven that in the case of amino phenols, which possess three potential nucleophilic centers, only the addition to amino group occurs. Utility of the method for the formation of C–C bond in Michael reaction was also demonstrate

Small-Sized Holographic Devices With Polymer based Reversible Recording Medium

    Get PDF
The principle of the photothermoplastic method of hologram recording as well as the general requirements for photothermoplastic holographic recording media based on photoconductive polymer films are considered. The holographic recording media obtained by authors based on carbazolyl- and ferrocenyl-containing oligomers doped with organic dyes are discussed Some examples of practical application of such media in holographic interferometry are demonstrated

Influence of Chemical Nature of Aromatic Rings in Methacrylic Azomonomers on their Polymerization Properties

    Get PDF
Methacrylic azomonomers based on para-aminoacetanilide were synthesized. Azofragments include various aromatic rings: benzene, naphthalene, 8-oxyquinoline and thiazole derivatives. We studied the kinetics of their polymerization. It was shown that the polymerization rate depends on the nature of the aromatic ring in azohromofore. Structurally colored (co)polymers based on synthesized monomers were obtained and the absorption spectra of polymer films were recorded

    Towards fluorescent indolyl-carbo-benzenes

    Get PDF
The C18 macro-aromatic carbo-benzene core is a strong chromophoric unit resembling the porphine ring which is prone to quench the emission of fluorophoric substituents. Within the aim of preparing fluorescent carbo-benzenes (and carbo-cyclohexadiene parents) for measurement of their two-photon absorption cross-section by the TPEF method, several indole derivatives were devised and anchored to the C18 macrocycle either directly, p-phenylogously or ethynylogously. Synthesis methodology and spectroscopical measurements are presented in a comparative prospec

Spectral and Basic Properties of Flavones in the Ground and Excited States

    Get PDF
Dependence between structures of R-oxyflavones and their spectral and basic properties has been investigated. It was found that pKa of flavones, depending on positions of hydroxy and methoxy groups, increase by 6-8 orders of magnitude upon excitation and reaches 3.7-6.6 units. Due to high pKa* value carbonyl group can serve as a proton acceptor in the excited-state intramolecular proton transfer as far as in the formation of phototautomers of 7- and 4'-hydroxyflavones in protic solvents
