Synthesis of chromones, annulated with oxygen-containing heterocycles with two hetero atoms at C(7)-C(8) bond
The present review represented the advanced synthetic strategies for chromones annulated at the C(7)-C(8) bond with five-membered, six-membered, and seven-membered oxygen-containing heterocycles with two heteroatoms, such as 6H-[1,3]dioxolo[4,5-h]chromen-6-one, 2,3-dihydro-7H-[1,4]dioxino[2,3-h]chromen-7-one, 3,4-dihydro-2H,8H-[1,4]dioxepino[2,3-h]chromen-8-one, 2,3-dihydro-1H,7H-chromeno[7,8-b][1,4]oxazin-7-one, 4H,12H-pyrano[2,3-a]phenoxazine-4-one and 9,10-dihydro-4H,8H-chromeno[8,7-e][1,3]oxazin-4-one. The biological activity of naturally occurring and modified synthetic fused hetarenochromones has been also highlighted
Sorption properties of saponite clay, in situ modified by poly(4-vinylpyridine-co-styrene), towards Cu(II), Cd(II), Pb(II), Mn(ІІ) and Fe(III) ions
In situ modification with copolymer of 4-vinylpyridine and styrene (molar ratio 3:1) of natural mineral saponite from deposit Tashkivske(Ukraine) by radical polymerization was carried out. Anchorage of organic polymer 4-vinylpyridine-co- styrene on the mineral surface was proved by IR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry and scanning electron microscopy. The amount of immobilized copolymer in the synthesized composite material according to the thermogravimetric analysis is 8.5 wt.%. The recorded adsorption capacity of the composite with respect to Cu(II), Pb(II) and Fe(III) ions was increased in comparison with native mineral saponite
6-Oxyindan-1-ones with dipeptide chains
Through N-acylation of a- or b-amino acid units by 2-(3-oxo-2,3-dihydro-1H-inden-5-yloxy)acetic acid using the method of N-hydroxysuccinimide esters new dipeptide indan-1-one derivatives were obtained. In general, the direct interaction of the acetic carboxyl group of the substrate with the amino group of the a- or b-dipeptide is a more productive strategy than the sequential peptidic condensation of the two amino acids
Adsorption of binary mixtures of sodium hexadecyl sulfate and ethoxylated octylphenols from aqueous solutions at activated carbon
Adsorption of binary mixtures of sodium hexadecyl sulfate and oxyethylated octylphenols surfactants from aqueous solutions at activated carbon AG-3 was studied. It is found that the process of mixed adsorption depends on total surfactants concentration in the mixture, the ratio of components in the mixture and their surface activity. Adsorption data is confirmed by measurements of the zeta potential values of activated carbon particles in the surfactants mixtures
UV-curable hybrid organic-inorganic membranes for the use as PEM in fuel cell
The series of membranes were prepared by UV-initiated polymerization of acrylic monomers (acrylonitrile AN, acrylic acid AA and potassium 3-sulfopropylacrylate SPAK) at the presence of photoinitiator (2,2-dimethoxy-2-phenylacetophenone (DMPA)) and cross-linker ethyleneglycole dimethacrylate (EGDMA), and simultaneous sol-gel process in TEOS-based sol-gel system. Characterization of the obtained nanocomposites includes measurements of proton conductivity, thermal behaviuor, water/methanol uptake, free surface energy. The synthesized membranes have high proton conductivity (10-2 Sm/cm) and other properties allowing to consider them as promising candidates for fuel cell application
Reactions of [2-(Bromomethyl)phenyl](4-chlorophenyl)methanone: A New Synthesis of [1,3]Thiazolo[3,2-b][2,4]benzodiazepine, Benzimidazo[1,2-b][2,4]benzodiazepine and Benzimidazo[1,2-b][2]benzazepine Derivatives
A new approach to the development of a number of azolo-condensed azepines and diazepines has been proposed. The method for the synthesis of [1,3]thiazolo[3,2-b][2,4]benzodiazepine, benzimidazo[1,2-b][2,4]benzodiazepineandbenzimidazo[1,2-b][2]benzazepinederivatives involves the reaction of [2-(bromomethyl)phenyl](4-chlorophenyl)methanonewith5-methyl-1,3-thiazol-2-amine, 1H-benzimidazol-2-amineand1,2-dimethyl-1H-benzimidazole. The formation of the quaternary salt of the initial diazole has been done under mild conditions in MeCN. The following intramolecular condensation has been realized by heating 2-amino azolium salts in AcOH or in Et3N as in the case of 2-methyl azolium salt. The structures of these cyclic compounds have been confirmed by mass spectrometry measurements, elemental analysis and NMR spectra
Identification and determination of ascorbic acid, free organic acids and tannic substances in the grass of Inula L. genus species
The level of studying of Inula L. genus species, growing on the territory of Ukraine, is insufficient today. The study of chemical composition, accumulation of biologically active substances, pharmacological action of investigated grass species’ extracts of Inula L. genus of Ukrainian flora are of current interest. The aim of the work is making qualitative and comparative analysis of ascorbic, organic acids and tannic substances content in the raw material of investigated species of Inula L. genus (Inula britannica L. and Inula helenium L.). Quantitative determination was carried out by volume titration method. The presence of ascorbic acid, organic acids and tannic substances in the raw material of Inula L. genus investigated species was established with the help of paper chromatography and thin-layer chromatography methods. The quantitative determination of total organic acids was carried out according to XI edition of State Pharmacopoeia methods in terms of malic acid. Water extracts were studied for the tannins presence in raw material of Inula L. genus investigated species. Compounds identification was carried out through chemical reactions in accordance with Ukrainian State Pharmacopeia. The results obtained showed the perspective of further study of the biological activity of Inula britannica L. and Inula helenium L
Kinetic study of carbon dioxide catalytic methanation over cobalt–nickel catalysts
Based on the data of the thermoprogrammed desorption and using mass-spectroscopic analysis of desorbed products and on the kinetic patterns of the methanation process for cobalt–nickel catalysts, we suggested a mechanism for the reaction which passes through forming intermediate formyl compounds: CHO*, HCOH*, and HCOOH*. Because of the high stability of the carbon dioxide molecule, the step of adding the first hydrogen atom is the limiting step. Such a mechanism is in good agreement with the proposed kinetic equations
Fluorinated analogues of lipidic dialkynylcarbinol pharmacophores: synthesis and cytotoxicity in HCT116 cancer cells
Lipidic alkynylcarbinols (LACs) have been identified as potential antitumor compounds, and a thorough understanding of their pharmacophoric environment is now required to elucidate their biological mode of action. In the dialkynylcarbinol (DAC) series, a specific study of the pharmacophore potential has been undertaken by focusing on the synthesis of three fluorinated derivatives followed by their biological evaluation. This work highlights the requirement of an electron-rich secondary carbinol center as a key structure for cytotoxicity in HCT116 cells
Researching The Process Of Hydrogen Generating From Water With The Use Of The Silicon Basis Alloys
There was researched the process of hydrogen generating from water with help of the ferrosilicon aluminium and ferrosilicon alloys with additives of the alkaline earth metals.There was studied the reaction of the considered alloys interaction under changing the NaOH solution concentration from 10% to 13,3% when the initial temperature range was from 90°С to 130°С. There was determined the necessary content of iron and calcium impurities to increase the gas evolution. The recommendations were formulated as to using the alloys of the silicon and iron with barium impurities for hydrogen generating in the gas generators
