As elites empresariais e a Nova República: corporativismo, democracia e reformas liberais no Brasil dos anos 90
This paper unfolds itself into two main parts. The first one is about the
characteristics of the industrial entrepreneurs' formation and consolidation
process during the various phases of the import substitutive industrialization.
The second one analyses the changes that occurred in the 80's,
pointing out the continuities and ruptures with the historically Consolidated
standard. Among the points that are put in relief, we observe the
reinforcement of the trend to interest differentiation and its division in
sectors, as wells as the diversification of Instruments and acting practices.
The increasing weight of the lobby activity and the experience of the
"Câmaras Setoriais" are pointed as possible modalities of pressure and
entrepreneurial interest representation, inside an ample social configuration
of hybrid and multiform tenor. This paper unfolds itself into two main parts. The first one is about the

A distribuição desigual dos benefícios e custos da integração econômica entre países em desenvolvimento
This articles presents an analysis of some of the main effects of regional
integration and identifies some of the factors that lead to an unequal distribution of
the benefits and the costs of a regional arrangement between the countries involved.
Among the distributive effects registered as a consequence of the constitution
of a wider market, the transfer of income through commerce and the tendency to the
polarization of investments in the more developed regions and countries have
concentrated the attention of analysts. The instruments and mechanisms selected in
each individual integration treaty, as well as national policies, greatly influence the
distribution of the benefits and the costs. This articles presents an analysis of some of the main effects of regional

Condicionantes externos à política agrícola
The recent transformations that occurred in the Brazilian economic policy -
including the agricultural policy - had as a background the country's need to insert
itself in the new international economic scenery. The negotiations that took place
in the external front, particularly the recently concluded GATT's Uruguai Round
and the conformation of MERCOSUL, design a new frame of reference for the
formulation of policies. The present article analyzes these new external constraints
from the point of view of Brazilian agricultural policy, as well as their compatibility
with the guidelines that are being adopted to formulate it.The recent transformations that occurred in the Brazilian economic policy -
