The Nichi-bun Course Project Efforts and Aim to Open to the Public: The Basic Design of the Corpus of Letters by Akiko Yosano by Showa Women's University Modern Library
Get PDFIn this paper, we report on the basic design of the corpus of "Akiko Yosano's letters which are owned by the Modern Library of Showa Women's University". We have been working on this corpus as a part of course project in the Department of Japanese Language and Literature since the academic year 2022. These ninety-one letters were written by Yosano in her later years and addressed to Yosano's disciple Mitsuko Omi, and her family. In creating this corpus, we referenced the digital archive of these letters and the reprinted version published by Sugimoto and Otsuka （1991）. In the future, we will collaborate with the digital archives in opening this corpus to the public.departmental bulletin pape
