    Geothermal is a natural heat resource derived from the interaction between heat that has been emitted by hot rocks and water. Geothermal energy is pollution-free, sustainable, or renewable. Geothermal energy appears on the surface in the form of geothermal manifestations such as warm ground, steamy ground, hot springs. North Sulawesi has the potential to be the location of direct and indirect geothermal development. This study aims to determine the fluid type and molecular functional groups of hot springs in Sawangan Village, North Minahasa Regency, because this location has geothermal potential. By using the geochemical method of making diagrams , it is known that the fluid type of hot springs in Talawaan Bantik Village, Wori District is of the Birkabonat type and the molecular functional groups are C = O and O-H, where the parent chain, C, O and H bind (Bicarbonate) which corresponds to the fluid type results

    This study aimed to determine the differences in student learning outcomes between the application of the Guided Discovery Method with the Constructivism Learning Model and Conventional Learning in improving students' understanding of integers in Class VII at SMP Negeri 3 Tondano. This research was a quasi-experimental study with a two-group pretest-posttest design. The population of this study was seventh-grade students, and the samples in this study were VII A as the experimental class, consisting of 25 students, and VII B as the control class, consisting of 22 students, at SMP Negeri 3 Tondano in the 2024/2025 academic year. The research results revealed that there was a significant difference in the average learning outcomes of students taught using the Guided Discovery Method with the Constructivism Learning Model compared to students taught using Conventional Methods. Based on the above results, it is concluded that the application of the Guided Discovery Method with the Constructivism Learning Model can improve students' understanding of integers in Class VII at SMP Negeri 3 Tondano. Thus, the Guided Discovery Method with the Constructivism Learning Model was proven effective in improving students' learning outcomes

    This study aims to test the feasibility of Android-based learning media using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on elemental chemistry material at Karitas Tomohon Catholic High School. This research is motivated by the lack of use of technology as a learning media in schools making students less interested in learning that is still monotonous (conventional) and less interesting. The research method used is research and development (R&D) with reference to the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The subjects of this research were chemistry teachers and students of class XII, especially class XII-A. Validation was conducted by media experts and material experts to ensure the feasibility and quality of the application. The results showed that the android-based learning media developed was very feasible with a percentage of 80% from media experts and 92% from material experts. The subject teacher's response gave a feasibility level with a percentage of 100% and student responses with a percentage of 87.78% so that it was declared very feasible as a learning media. The conclusion of this research is that android-based learning media with PBL model is effectively used in learning Chemistry Elements in high school. This media can be an innovative solution in utilizing technology to improve the quality of education

    Mathematics trains one to think systematically, scientifically, critically, and creatively.  Creative thinking such as Critical Thinking Skills, Creative Thinking Skills, Communication Skills, and Collaboration Skills are competencies needed in the second century. This research will be conducted in SMA Negeri 1 Kawangkoan Barat, Minahasa Regency, North Sulawesi Province. The subject selection technique in this study used a data source subject selection technique with certain considerations.  Data were collected with questions that refer to 4 indicators and after the data were collected, descriptive quantitative analysis was conducted. The results obtained showed that the mathematical creative thinking ability of students at the SMA Negeri 1 Kwangkoan Barat level as a whole was in the moderately creative category with the results of indicators from highest to lowest, namely fluency 36%, flexibility 26%, originality 20%, elaboration 18%

    This research is motivated by the occurrence of various difficulties in the learning process, namely teachers have not used a variety of learning methods according to students' learning styles so that students' interest in learning is still lacking. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Data collection techniques using questionnaires, interviews and documentation. The data sources in the study were outstanding biology students in class XI. The sources in the study were 3 outstanding students who obtained the highest scores in Biology subjects in Class XI A-XI G of SMA Negeri 3 Manado. Based on the data obtained through research and data validity tests using data triangulation, it can be concluded from the results of the study which show that outstanding students in Biology subjects in Class XI A-XI G of SMA Negeri 3 Manado have a combined learning style of visual, auditory and kinesthetic (VAK). However, among these learning styles, the most dominant is the kinesthetic learning style, from 21 students it was found that 3 students had a tendency towards a visual learning style, 5 students had a tendency towards an auditory learning style, 10 students had a tendency towards a kinesthetic learning style and 3 students had a combination of learning styles, namely: 1 student had a visual kinesthetic learning style, 1 student had an auditory kinesthetic learning style, and 1 student had a visual, auditory and kinesthetic learning style

    This study aims to test the feasibility of multiple representation-based interactive Android applications on atomic structure material as an independent learning resource for students at Karitas Tomohon Catholic High School. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The results showed that this application was able to facilitate learning by integrating three levels of chemical representation (macroscopic, microscopic, and symbolic). The research subjects included chemistry teachers, grade X students, especially grade X-A, as well as two media experts and two material experts. Validation by media experts showed a feasibility level of 87%, while material expert validation reached 96%. The chemistry teacher's response gave a feasibility level of 100%, while the student's response reached 88%, both of which were included in the very feasible category. This application is expected to be an innovation in chemistry learning, especially as an interesting and useful independent learning media

    This study was driven by the observation that students exhibited low interest in learning science, perceiving it as a challenging and monotonous subject. The research aimed to enhance students' interest in learning about the topic of mixture separation by utilizing the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model, integrated with a differentiation approach and Experiential Learning in class VIII of SMP Negeri 2 Weru. This research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design, implemented in two cycles, with each cycle comprising four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The findings revealed that prior to the intervention, students' learning interest achieved only 42%, which was categorized as low. Following the intervention, students' learning interest improved to 65% in the first cycle, categorized as moderate. In the second cycle, a significant increase was recorded, with students' learning interest reaching 89%, categorized as very good. In conclusion, the application of the PBL model, supported by a differentiation approach and Experiential Learning, was effective in enhancing students' interest in learning

    Rendahnya hasil belajar peserta didik disebabkan oleh kurangnya pemahaman terhadap materi yang diajarkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dengan materi Struktur Lapisan Bumi melalui penerapan model Problem Based Learning yang dikombinasikan dengan pendekatan diferensiasi di kelas VIII E SMP Negeri 1 Depok, Kabupaten Cirebon, Jawa Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan subjek sebanyak 32 peserta didik dan dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Pada siklus I, sebanyak 11 peserta didik (34,38%) mencapai ketuntasan, sementara 21 peserta didik (65,63%) belum tuntas. Pada siklus II, terjadi peningkatan dengan 25 peserta didik (78,13%) yang tuntas dan 7 peserta didik (21,88%) yang belum tuntas. Dengan demikian, terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar sebesar 43,75% dari siklus I ke siklus II. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model Problem Based Learning yang terintegrasi dengan diferensiasi efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi Struktur Lapisan Bumi di kelas VIII E SMP Negeri 1 Depok

    Tourism is a strategic sector that has an important role in promoting regional economic growth through increased local revenue and job creation. The province of North Sulawesi, especially the city of Tomohon, has superior tourism potential in the form of natural beauty and cultural wealth which is the main attraction for Indonesian tourists. Historical Data show a trend towards an increase in the number of tourist visits from 2015 to 2024, despite a significant decrease in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This study aims to predict the number of tourists visiting the city of Tomohon archipelago using simple linear regression. Based on the results of the analysis, the regression equation y = 276,756 + 23,468 X was obtained, which showed that the number of tourists increased on average by 23,468 people per year. Using this model, the prediction of the number of Indonesian tourists visiting Tomohon City in 2025 is around 534,904 people. The results of this forecasting are expected to provide useful information for the development of sustainable and competitive tourism

    ANALISIS KARAKTERISTIK FLUIDA MATA AIR PANAS DI DESA SAWANGAN KABUPATEN MINAHASA UTARA DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN GEOINDIKATOR Cl-Li-B

    The need for energy in everyday life is very important, geothermal energy has the potential to become an energy source for power plants. Indonesia has one of the largest geothermal potentials, because Indonesia is located in the Ring of Fire. One of the provinces known for its abundance of geothermal energy is North Sulawesi. The purpose of this study is to determine the characteristics of this geothermal manifestation. The method used is the Cl-Li-B Geoindicator to determine the outflow zone or upflow zone of a geothermal system. The results of the study show that the manifestation has a temperature of 39â°C with a pH of 6.39 containing a higher chloride (Cl) content than Lithium (Li) and Boron (B), the chloride (Cl) content has a percentage of 82.3529% while for Lithium (Li) has a percentage of 11.7647% and Boron (B) has a percentage of 5.8823%. The data shows that of the three parameters studied, the relatively low B/Cl ratio indicates that the hot spring comes from an old geothermal reservoir and chloride (Cl) has the highest percentage of content, it can be concluded that this manifestation is in the outflow zon
