    The Attitude of CNN Indonesia Online Media in Reporting Corruption Cases in Indonesia

    This study aims to reveal the types of language attitude employed by the online media outlet CNN Indonesia in reporting corruption cases in Indonesia and to analyze how ideological messages are represented through the use of such attitudes. The research adopts a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The analysis is conducted using the Appraisal theory, particularly the subsystem of attitude, which encompasses affect, judgement, and appreciation. The data consist of clauses containing evaluative attitudes drawn from 15 CNN Indonesia news texts on corruption cases published between January 1 and December 31, 2024. The data were collected through documentation, observation, and note-taking techniques, and analyzed using an interactive model. The findings indicate that the use of attitude is dominated by the judgment category (65%), particularly within the subcategory of propriety, which evaluates perpetrators of corruption as unethical, immoral, and irresponsible. Additionally, positive judgment is used to legitimize law enforcement agencies as professional and credible actors. The appreciation category (29%) is used to assess the social, economic, and ecological impacts of corruption. In comparison, affect (6.27%) is rarely applied and more frequently appears implicitly to reinforce the negative image of the perpetrators. These findings suggest that language attitude functions not only as a linguistic evaluative tool but also as an ideological strategy through which the media frames perpetrators as "public enemies" and strengthens the hegemony of anti-corruption discourse

    The Quality of Sentence Translation Realized as Face-Threatening Speech in the Wolf Totem Novel

    Translated novels are an important tool for Indonesian readers to find out the complete contents of novels in foreign languages, one of which is Chinese novels. The purpose of this study was to determine the translation quality of face-threatening utterances in the Wolf Totem novel so that it is easier for Indonesian readers to understand the contents of the novel holistically. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative (Santoso, 2021; Arikunto, 2009; Saebani, 2008; Creswell, 2007) using a pragmatic approach to face-threatening speech act (Brown and Levinson, 1987; Austin, 1962; Searle , 1969; Djatmika et al, 2016). Translation theory is used to analyze translation techniques used to measure the quality of translation in terms of accuracy, acceptability, and readability (Nababan, 2003; Nababan et al, 2012; Molina and Albir, 2002; Newmark, 1988; Catford, 1965) . The findings in this study are the use of discursive creation techniques as much as 53%, with the accuracy level of 53%, the acceptability  level 91%, and readability level of  94%

    Aplikasi Sensor MQ-3 dan Arduino Uno untuk Mengukur Kadar Alkohol dalam Minuman Tradisional

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun alat pengukur kadar alkohol yang ekonomis dan mudah dioperasikan menggunakan Arduino Uno dan sensor MQ-3. Alat ini dikembangkan untuk mendeteksi konsentrasi alkohol pada minuman, khususnya minuman tradisional yang umumnya tidak mencantumkan kadar alkohol secara eksplisit. Perancangan mencakup penggabungan komponen perangkat keras seperti sensor MQ-3, Arduino Uno, dan LCD 16×2, serta pemrograman melalui Arduino IDE. Kalibrasi alat dilakukan terhadap larutan alkohol dengan konsentrasi 5–40%. Hasil kalibrasi menunjukkan hubungan fungsi logaritmik dengan nilai R² = 0,9971 antara nilai sensor dan konsentrasi alkohol. Pengujian dilakukan terhadap minuman beralkohol dan berlabel yang menunjukkan bahwa alat mampu mengukur kadar alkohol dengan tingkat kesalahan relatif antara 5–20%. Dengan menggunakan alat ini, beberapa sampel minuman tradisional beralkohol dapat ditentukan kadar alkoholnya seperti tuak 7%, tajok 17%, dan arak 33,75%. Penelitian ini dapat memberikan kontribusi berupa solusi alternatif pengukuran kadar alkohol yang terjangkau dan aplikatif di masyarakat.This research aims to design and build an economical and user-friendly alcohol content measuring device using the Arduino Uno microcontroller and the MQ-3 sensor. The tool is developed to detect the alcohol concentration in beverages, especially traditional drinks that do not explicitly state their alcohol content. The design includes integrating hardware components such as the MQ-3 sensor, Arduino Uno, and a 16×2 LCD and programming through the Arduino IDE. Calibration of the device is performed using alcohol solutions with concentrations ranging from 5% to 40%. The calibration results show a strong logarithmic relationship (R² = 0.9971) between the sensor values and alcohol concentrations. Testing was conducted on alcoholic beverages and labelled drinks, demonstrating that the device can measure alcohol content with a relative error margin of 5% to 20%. Using this device, the alcohol content of several traditional alcoholic beverages such as tuak (7%), tajok (17%), and arak (33.75%) can be determined. This research could provide an alternative solution for affordable and practical alcohol content measurement in society

    Evaluation of Aerology Diagrams and Analysis of Upper-Air Information Using RAOB and ECMWF Model Data During Significant Weather Events at Minangkabau Meteorological Station

    This research investigates the analysis of atmospheric conditions using radiosonde data and the ECMWF ERA5 model for extreme weather events at Minangkabau International Airport, West Sumatra. The study measures atmospheric stability indices and other parameters obtained from observational data and the model. Using a Skew-T Log-P diagram, the analysis shows that atmospheric conditions on January 16, 2024, and January 27, 2024, were volatile, supporting the development of extreme weather phenomena such as thunderstorms. CAPE value on January 16 was 2898 J/kg (observations) and 3345 J/kg (model). The correlation between observational data and the ECMWF model shows very high results, with correlation values of 0.9970 on March 8, 2024, and 0.9977 on April 2, 2024, indicating that the ECMWF model accurately represents atmospheric conditions. This research proves that the ECMWF model is reliable for weather forecasting at Minangkabau International Airport

    Identifikasi Struktur Bawah Permukaan Daerah Potensi Panas Bumi Bajawa dan Sekitarnya Menggunakan Metode Gravitasi

    This study aims to identify the subsurface structure of geothermal systems in the Bajawa area, East Nusa Tenggara, using gravity methods based on GGMplus 2013 satellite data. The analysis was conducted on complete Bouguer anomaly data that had been corrected and separated into regional and residual components using Butterworth filters. 3D modeling and 2D cross-section incisions were performed on regional anomalies, having density variations between 1.9 - 3.5 g/cm³, a range of regional anomaly values of 92-138 mGal and depths up to 4.43 km. Based on the results of the analysis of the distribution of rock density values, suspected rock formations as geothermal systems such as the presence of reservoirs from the Nangapanda formation (Np) with densities ranging from 1.9 - 2.66 g/cm³, host rocks from the Aimere Scoria formation (As), Andesite Sasa (Ss), Andesite Inie Lika (Ik), Andesite Mataloko (Mk), Andesite Bobo (Bb) and Andesite Siutoro (Si), Inerie Basalt (Ie), Wabela Basalt (Wa), Lahar Deposit (Lh) and Tuf Welas (Wt) with densities ranging from 2.49 - 2.8 g/cm³ and heat sources from Maumbawa Basalt (Mb) with densities ranging from 2.7 -3.5 g/cm³ and Andesite Wangka (Wn) with densities ranging from 1.9 -2.9 g/cm³. This finding strengthens the indication that the Bajawa area and its surroundings could be a potential prospect area for geothermal systems.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi struktur bawah permukaan sistem panas bumi di daerah Bajawa, Nusa Tenggara Timur, menggunakan metode gravitasi berbasis data satelit GGMplus 2013. Analisis dilakukan terhadap data anomali Bouguer lengkap yang telah dikoreksi dan dipisahkan menjadi komponen regional dan residual menggunakan filter Butterworth. Pemodelan 3D dan sayatan penampang 2D dilakukan pada anomali regional, memiliki variasi densitas antara 1,9 – 3,5 g/cm³, rentang nilai anomali regional 92–138 mGal dan kedalaman hingga 4,43 km. Berdasarkan hasil analisis sebaran nilai densitas batuan, teridentifikasi dugaan formasi-formasi batuan sebagai sistem panas bumi seperti keberadaan reservoir dari formasi Nangapanda (Np) dengan densitas berkisar antara 1,9 – 2,66 g/cm³, batuan penudung dari formasi Aimere Scoria (As), Andesit Sasa (Ss), Andesit Inie Lika (Ik), Andesit Mataloko (Mk), Andesit Bobo (Bb) dan Andesit Siutoro (Si), Inerie Basalt (Ie),Wabela Basal (Wa), Deposit Lahar (Lh) dan Tuf Welas (Wt) dengan densitas berkisar antara 2,49 – 2,8 g/cm³ dan sumber panas dari Basal Maumbawa (Mb) dengan densitas berkisar antara 2,7 – 3,5 g/cm³ dan Andesit Wangka (Wn) dengan densitas berkisar antara 1,9 – 2,9 g/cm³. Temuan ini memperkuat indikasi wilayah Bajawa dan sekitarnya dapat menjadi wilayah prospek potensi sistem panas bumi

    Kajian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi ketahanan ekonomi Taiwan dalam menghadapi persaingan teknologi antara Amerika Serikat dan Tiongkok pada periode 2018 - 2025. Dengan menggunakan kerangka Economic Resilience Theory dan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif, kajian ini menelaah kebijakan eksternal seperti New Southbound Policy, relokasi industri, serta kebijakan domestik Industrial Policy 2.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Taiwan berhasil menjaga stabilitas makroekonomi, memperkuat efisiensi pasar, dan meningkatkan tata kelola pemerintahan serta pembangunan sosial di tengah tekanan geopolitik. Meskipun masih menghadapi ketergantungan struktural pada pasar Tiongkok dan risiko geopolitik di Selat Taiwan, strategi Taiwan terbukti efektif dalam membangun ketahanan ekonomi yang fleksibel, inovatif, dan berkelanjutan

    Background: Anemia in pregnancy remains a significant public health concern including in the working area of Sukarami Public Health Center, Lahat Regency, where the prevalence reached 38.8% in 2024. Iron deficiency is the leading cause of this condition.  One alternative effort to increase hemoglobin levels is by providing iron-rich functional foods such as DUJHA jerky (a combination of sweet potato leaves and chicken liver). Objective: to determine of effectiveness of DUJHA jerky consumption on hemoglobin levels among pregnant women. Methods: This study employed a pre-experimental design with a one- group pretest-posttest approach. a total of 32 pregnant women were selected through total sampling. The assessments included organoleptic testing, nutrient content analysis, hemoglobin level measurement, and evalution of macro and micronutrient intake before and after the intervention. Data were analyzed using a paired t-test. Results: DUJHA jerky formula 2 was most preferred by panelists. The nutritional content per 100 g includes: energy 512.9 kcal, protein 20.6 g, fat 34.69 g, carbohydrate 32.2 g, iron 14.1 mg, and vitamin C 0.8 mg. The average hemoglobin level increased from 10.1 g/dL to 10.7 g/dL post-intervention.Statistical analysis showed a significant difference (p=0.000), indicating effectiveness. Conclusion: DUJHA jerky is effective in increasing hemoglobin levels in pregnant women and has the potential to be developed as an alternative functional food to prevent anemia

    AMINO ACID, PROTEIN, AND COLOR PROFILE OF SWEET CORN EXTRACT SUBSTITUTED WITH MORINGA LEAF EXTRACT

    Sweet corn (Zea mays saccharata) is a popular source of carbohydrates and dietary fiber but has a relatively low protein content. To increase its nutritional value and functional potential, substitution was carried out with Moringa oleifera leaf extract which is rich in essential amino acids and bioactive compounds. This study aims to evaluate the effect of Moringa leaf extract substitution on the amino acid profile and color characteristics of sweet corn extract. The study design was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with two treatments, namely substitution of the addition of Moringa leaf extract, young and old shoots, in the ratio of sweet corn extract and Moringa leaf extract (80:20; 85:15 and 90:10). The test on the research results was carried out on color, the color was carried out using a colorimeter with parameters L * (brightness), a * (red-green), and b * (yellow-blue), protein content. The amino acid profile test was selected on the best research results using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The data obtained were statistically tested using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). If there was a significant difference between treatments, it was continued with the Duncan test (DMRT). The results showed that increasing the concentration of Moringa leaf extract significantly reduced the L * value and increased the a * value (p<0.05), indicating a more intense green color, without significant changes in the b * value. Meanwhile, the selected product for amino acid profile testing was in the treatment of 90:10 young leaf sweet corn extract, with high amino acids in aspartic acid (114.54 mg / L), glutamic acid (222.45 mg/L) and alanine (294.73 mg/L)
