DEVELOPMENT OF STREET VENDOR BUSINESS THROUGH MARKETING COMMUNICATION CAPABILITY IMPROVEMENT IN MENTENG VILLAGE, SOUTH JAKARTA
Street vendors make a major contribution to economic activity and public welfare, especially to the weak economic group. Businesses carried out by street vendors are independent and involve the needs of many people. Street vendors as informal sectors have great potential to improve the economy, especially the weak economic community. The potential business of the street vendor at RW 14, RT 139 Menteng Dalam Village, South Jakarta must be developed because all this time they sell only to survive without any business development efforts. The business development can be done through marketing communication skills improvement by providing training. Improved marketing communication skills are carried out so that street vendors can make distinctive products, which are different from other products, always maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the place of business. In determining the selling price not only considering the raw materials that are used but also the costs of labor, electricity and other costs. Conduct simple promotions such as giving a name to the stall, making leaflets, and serving buyers in a friendly and polite manner. Make comparisons with other similar products to make and determine the product prices
FINANCING OF FINANCIAL STATEMENTS USING COMPUTER APPLICATION (STUDY ON COOPERATION IN KLATEN)
The purpose of this Community Service activity is to improve the basic knowledge of accounting, as well as the preparation of simple financial statements by utilizing the accounting information technology. Based on survey results to 11 cooperatives in Klaten it can be identified problems as follows: 1) Not well-organized bookkeeping. 2) Recording is still done manually and not yet supported by computer-based information system technology. Based on the problems faced by the cooperative, the solutions offered to cooperatives are debriefing of accounting knowledge as the basis for preparation of financial statements of cooperatives, as well as the creation of cooperative accounting programs, demonstrations, and training. Currently the first phase of the activity has been going well and smoothly. Where in this stage the cooperative began to run the preparation of financial statements by using the accounting information system technology, using TJFinanceprogram.Assistance in the utilization of cooperative accounting system that has been made, among others in the form of mentoring preparation, as well as assistance in the use of cooperative accounting system. So that the existing system can be utilized more optimally and can be developed in accordance with the needs of the cooperative management as a partner of dedication and other cooperative management members in Klaten. In addition there is an increased role of stakeholder better associated with the creation and development of cooperative applications so that in the future will be the application development process when running in accordance with what is expected by the cooperative
SMOKE FEE CAMPAIGN THROUGH SCHOOL-BASED PREVENTION PROGRAM AT MUTIARA HARAPAN ISLAMIC SCHOOL, TANGERANG – BANTEN
Children are susceptible to be passive smokers as a consequence of exposure to cigarette smoke when they are in the surroundings of smokers. Nearly 70% of children aged 13-15 years are exposed to cigarette smoke inside their homes, while 78 percent are exposed to cigarettes outside their homes. Cigarette smoke has a bad impact on health in children, even though they do not understand the dangers of cigarette smoke. For this reason, an extension activity is conducted on the dangers of cigarette smoke, so that children can understand the dangers of cigarette smoke and can be the main driver for parents and their surroundings to live smoke-free
RITUAL IN JAPANESE COMPANY: THE CASE OF ASAKAI
Poor communication is a serious problem for an organization. Based on its culture, each company has to find a strategy to improve the quality of organizational communication. This research sought to investigate how a Japanese company with their culture strived to resolve and prevent poor communication problem in the organization as represented in aritual, called ASAKAI.The research also focuses on how the local employees react to this ritual which is different than that of Indonesian companies. Qualitative data were collected by observation of practice and face to face interview that were conducted in PT. TMMIN, particularly Engineering Division. The findings revealed that ASAKAI has animportant role to improve and maintain the quality of organizational communication. The local employees also assumeand believe that ASAKAI is a good activity and no employees stand against it. The perceived conflict occured not because of the cultural difference, but because of the person whom are leading the ASAKAI
THE EVALUATION OF VILLAGE ADMINISTRATION AS A GOVERNMENTAL AXIS TO ACHIEVE AUTONOMOUS AND PROSPEROUS VILLAGE (COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT IN CIAWI, BOGOR REGENCY, WEST JAVA)
The autonomy of village government offers an important role in the development of rural areas. The village government can serve as a governmental axis, which directly shapes and governs people on daily basis. Thus, national development is inseparable from the devotion of village government. Nevertheless, there are still many problems faced by the village community, which until now cannot be completely solved. These problems ranging from the limited ability of the village government in carrying out its functions and roles, slow growth and social change in village, the tendency of rural communities to passively involve in social and economic change to dependence on parties outside the village area. It is thus imperative that the implementation of an effective evaluation process of village government must be explored and strengthened. This is research is conducted to answer “how to evaluate the village government in order to achieve autonomous and prosperous village.” This research use descriptive qualitative approach, in order to interpret facts by accurately describing the nature of certain group or individual phenomena derived from the findings. It finds that Permendagri No. 81/2015 as the focal regulation on the development of village government regulates the evaluation process of village government into eight process: (1) self-evaluation, (2) assessment, (3) analysis, (4) validation, (5) review, (6) clarification, (7) ranking, and (8) ministerial decree if needed. However, the research finds that in several indicators, there need to be some improvement or a more detailed set of sub-indicators that specifically address the diversity of village’s characteristics
DESIGNING 'TOURIST VILLAGE - PASIRMULYA' WEBSITE THROUGH TRANSFER KNOWLEDGE & TECHNOLOGY
Pasirmulya Village, Banjaran District, Bandung Regency, West Java, is geographically located on the slopes of Mount Puntang. Pasirmulya Village has a lot of potential as a thematic tourist destination, such as; Best plantations and coffee products in the world, Tourist sites heritage radio transmitters in the Dutch colonial era, Cycling tracks and cross-country trail motorbikes, Natural tourism and beautiful panoramas, Cultural arts and life of the agrarian Sundanese indigenous people who are relatively still awake, Centers of handicrafts and typical village food, and Homestay Village - Wangun. Pasirmulya village with all its uniqueness is very potential to build as an alternative tourist destination, because it is very close to the city of Bandung. The results of field research to record the potential of Pasirmulya village which is grouped into several categories which will be used as web content in page menus according to the categories of potential existing tourism objects. Throughout the collecting data’s of potential villages and a long the process of designing the website Tourist Villageasirmulya' also involves the human resources of the local community as an activites guidance of transformation knowledge and technology. It is hoped that this website will also help introduce the Tourist VillagePasirmulya' to the wider community
EMPOWERMENT TRAINING IMPACT OF PORNOGRAPHY THROUGH INTERNET IN KELURAHAN MAPHAR, JAKARTA BARAT
Pornography causes damage to the five parts of the brain, especially in the pre frontal cortex (the right part of the brain behind the forehead of logic brain). Consequently the part of the brain responsible for logic will be deformed due to unfiltered hyper stimulation (the brain only seeks pleasure without consequence). In addition, the most worrying impact is a decrease in academic achievement and learning ability, as well as a reduced decision-making ability. Furthermore, an increasing number of active sexually active adolescents will also increase the case of unwanted pregnancies, and abortion actions that are often regarded as a solution to the problem. Through community development activities are expected to be able to contribute in the form of data and information related to the level of pornography addiction that is rife among teenagers. From the understanding that is formed, it is hoped that it can become a material consideration for policy making related to the prevention and handling of pornography among teenagers in Indonesia
COMMUNITY COMPETENCY IMPROVEMENT IN NORTH PETUKANGAN VILLAGE, SOUTH JAKARTA WITH MICROSOFT WORD TRAINING
In the era of globalization like today, the need for information technology is very high. In daily activities, of course, cannot be separated from the use of computers. People need to add insight to the field of information technology, one of which is the use of Microsoft Word. Therefore, the implementation of this community service program intends to provide knowledge for the community around RT.002 / RW.011 Petukangan Utara Village, Pesanggrahan Sub-District, South Jakarta. This activity also aims to improve the quality of society in the field of Information Technology, especially Microsoft Word. The result of this activity is that the community is able to utilize Microsoft Word to help with various homework or office work. Also, this training is expected to be able to strengthen cooperation between Budi Luhur University and the community around RT.002 / RW.011, Petukangan Utara Village, Pesanggrahan District, South Jakarta. This activity is one manifestation of the Three Pillars of Higher Education comprising Education, Research and Community Service that must be carried out by each lecturer
ENTERTAINMENT OBJECTIVE TRUSTED CITIZEN JOURNALISM TRAINING FOR YOUTH GROUPS IN SOUTH JAKARTA, JAKARTA CAPITAL CITY
Youth Groups Activities of Pesanggrahan village and Kebayoran Lama village, South Jakarta rarely published the mass media. These youth groups crave their activities can be informed to public as their self-actualization. Likewise, people wanted to know their activity. This community service activity aimed to inflame their spirit to share information of issues and problems in the local level around them. Hopefully this can preventing the youths drowned to negatives activities. This training divided into three steps: First, delivering basic journalism, news and article writing technique, journalism photography, online journalism; Second, field practice of citizen journalism thereby this youth groups members can be citizen journalist beside news consumers; Third, to published their work in mass media and social blog. Output of this social partnership program are: First, to publish these youth groups activities in mass media and social blog; Second, youth of these groups have ability to make journalism work starting from news and features which supported with journalist photography to publish in social blog and mass media. Conclusion: These Youth Groups need sustainable assistance, monitoring and evaluation so that their journalism work to be able to published in social blog and mass media continuously. These partners also need idea development to stimulating their creativities in domain of citizen journalism
SOCIALIZATION ON TREATMENT AND PREPARATION FOR VISIT TO DENTIST FOR CHILDREN WITH AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDERS
This community service activity is carried out in the form of activity (socialization) on how to educate and prepare children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (GSA) in brushing teeth and visiting dentists for dental care. This activity was conducted using the methods of lecturing, demonstration, and discussion with parents, caregivers and teachers of children with special needs for autism. This was carried out one day at the Bina Balita nursing home of Social Welfare Office of DKI Jakarta
