Portrait of the Use of Indonesian of Factory Workers in Pekalongan Regency
This study aims to provide a comprehensive portrayal of Indonesian language utilization among factory workers in Pekalongan Regency. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, the research investigates the factors influencing language preference and usage within this community. Data collection methods include documentation, questionnaires, and interviews, with analysis conducted through proficient engagement listening techniques. The findings reveal a nuanced interplay of factors shaping language behavior among factory workers. While Indonesian emerges as the dominant language in the workplace, driven by professional demands and the need for intercultural communication, the use of regional languages, particularly Javanese, persists in daily interactions. Notably, this linguistic landscape is influenced by factors such as workplace dynamics, societal norms, and generational shifts. By shedding light on these patterns, the study contributes to our understanding of language dynamics within industrial settings and highlights the importance of sociolinguistic factors in shaping communication practices.
 
'Gemoy' Campaign Strategy: Norman Fairclough's Critical Discourse Analysis
Linguistically, "gemoy" is not listed in the KBBI. This word is a pun on "gemas," which in KBBI means very irritated or very irritated, but in slang, "gemoy" describes more positive feelings of resonance. This article explores how the term 'gemoy' is used strategically in the 2024 presidential election campaign through the lens of Fairclough's critical discourse analysis model. This case study focuses on the @mypresident.id Instagram account and a post entitled "When 'Gemoy' Becomes a Trend in Indonesian Society". This study aims to analyze the use of the term "gemoy" during the 2024 presidential election campaign. This research applies qualitative descriptive methods with critical discourse analysis techniques. The data collected is in the form of all lingual elements, namely words, phrases, clauses, and sentences containing the word "gemoy" in the comment column of netizens on Instagram @mypresident.id. The data were analyzed using the three dimensions of Fairclough's Model Critical Discourse Analysis, which consists of a textual dimension, a discursive dimension, and a sociocultural dimension. The dimensions of sociocultural practices were further analyzed using Dell Hymes' SPEAKING theory. The results show that communication strategies that utilize "gemoy" branding to build politicians' self-image have provided practical examples of how politicians can use digital media to create a more relatable and attractive image in this digital age to influence public opinion. Pengaruh Penggunaan Project Strategies terhadap Kemampuan Menulis Paragraf Argumentasi Siswa Kelas Delapan
This experimental study investigates the impact of Project Strategy on the argumentative writing skills of eighth-grade students. The study aims to (1) evaluate the students' writing proficiency using Project Strategy, (2) assess their skills without this strategy, and (3) determine if Project Strategy significantly enhances their writing ability. The population consists of 120 students, with a sample of 60 students selected randomly. Data were collected through essay tests, and a pretest confirmed the groups' homogeneity. The experimental group's mean pretest score was 63.00, while the control group's was 53.50. Post-treatment, the experimental group's mean score improved to 73.33, indicating a good proficiency level, compared to the control group's 63.67, which was deemed adequate. Hypothesis testing showed a significant effect (tcount = 5.110, ttable = 2.002), suggesting that Project Strategy positively influences students' writing abilities. Based on these findings, it is recommended that English teachers adopt innovative strategies to improve writing skills, emphasizing the importance of effective paragraph construction in English education.

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode eksperimental, dengan tujuan (1) untuk mengetahui hasil kemampuan siswa dalam menulis paragraf argumentasi di kelas Delapan, (2) untuk mengetahui hasil kemampuan siswa dalam menulis paragraf argumentasi di kelas Delapan tanpa Strategi Proyek, dan (3) untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh signifikan dari Penggunaan Strategi Proyek terhadap kemampuan menulis siswa di kelas Delapan. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas Delapan SMP yang terdiri dari 120 siswa. Peneliti mengambil sampel sebanyak 60 siswa secara acak dari kelas Delapan SMP. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan formulir tes esai. Oleh karena itu, tes yang memenuhi syarat tes digunakan sebagai instrumen penelitian. Setelah tes dianggap valid, peneliti melakukan pretes kepada kedua kelompok untuk mengetahui homogenitas data. Kedua kelompok tersebut homogen. Komputasi nilai rata-rata skor siswa pada pretes eksperimen adalah 63,00 dan pada pretes kontrol adalah 53,50. Setelah memberikan perlakuan kepada kelompok eksperimen, peneliti mengambil data kemampuan siswa dengan menggunakan postes. Postes yang diberikan kepada siswa adalah tes kemampuan menulis siswa dengan menulis sebuah paragraf argumentasi yang diberikan. Berdasarkan hasil data menunjukkan bahwa (1) rata-rata kemampuan menulis siswa dalam menulis paragraf argumentasi dengan menggunakan Strategi Proyek adalah 73,33 yang dikatakan baik. (2) rata-rata kemampuan menulis siswa dalam menulis paragraf argumentasi tanpa menggunakan Strategi Proyek adalah 63,67 yang dikatakan memadai. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian hipotesis, diperoleh t hitung = 5,110 dan t tabel = 2,002. Karena -t tabel < t hitung > + t tabel, yaitu: -2,002 < 5,110 > +2,002, ini berarti Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan dari penggunaan Strategi Proyek terhadap kemampuan siswa dalam menulis paragraf argumentasi secara efektif di kelas Delapan. Berdasarkan analisis tersebut, peneliti memberikan saran, yaitu (1) guru Bahasa Inggris seharusnya mampu mengajarkan siswa cara menulis paragraf dengan baik karena menulis adalah keterampilan penting dalam mempelajari atau menguasai bahasa Inggris, (2) guru Bahasa Inggris seharusnya kreatif dalam menciptakan strategi yang menarik untuk mengajarkan siswa dengan baik, dan (3) siswa seharusnya mampu menguasai cara menulis paragraf yang baik dalam mempelajari bahasa Inggris
Exploring the Integration of Inquiry Based Learning into English Instruction at the Elementary School Level: A Qualitative Descriptive Study
The integration of innovative teaching methods into early education is crucial for creating a dynamic and engaging learning environment. Among these methods, IBL stands out for its potential to develop critical thinking, creativity, and active participation among students. This qualitative descriptive research investigates integrating IBL into English instruction at the elementary school level. The study explores teachers’ perspectives on incorporating inquiry-based methods, students’ experiences, and engagement with such approaches and identifies challenges and successes in implementing IBL. Data were collected and analyzed thematically through interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis. The findings reveal that teachers view IBL positively, recognizing its potential to enhance critical thinking skills and student engagement. However, challenges such as time constraints and concerns about standardized testing were also identified. Students reported increased motivation and collaborative learning experiences through inquiry-based instruction. The study highlights the significance of IBL in promoting a deeper understanding of language concepts and fostering essential skills for 21st-century learners. Recommendations for future practice and research support further integrating inquiry-based methods into elementary English instruction
Cake Application as a Tool for Boosting Vocabulary Mastery in EFL Education
This research assessed the efficacy of the Cake application in enhancing English vocabulary proficiency among 8th-grade students at SMP IT Daarul Istiqlal Marindal I. In the present epoch of globalization, mastery of the English language has become indispensable, and digital platforms such as Cake provide inventive methods to facilitate interactive and pleasurable vocabulary acquisition. This study used a quantitative methodology, using a one-group pre-test and post-test design. The research included a sample of 30 students that were carefully chosen. The data was gathered via a preliminary assessment to gauge the level of vocabulary proficiency before using the Cake application. This study investigates whether the Cake application significantly enhances vocabulary proficiency among 8th-grade EFL students. This was followed by a period of application use, and subsequently, a post-assessment was conducted to assess the enhancement in vocabulary mastery after utilizing the program. The data analysis was performed using SPSS 25, which included doing normality tests, descriptive statistical analysis, and paired T-tests. The research results indicated a significant improvement in students' proficiency in vocabulary after the use of the Cake program, as shown by a mean pre-test score of 53.67 and a post-test score of 76.00. The paired T-test confirmed this disparity with a significance value of 0.000, suggesting that the enhancement in students' learning outcomes was not a result of chance. The study's findings indicate that using the Cake application is a successful method for enhancing pupils' proficiency in English vocabulary. This program not only improves vocabulary abilities, but also stimulates students' enthusiasm for studying English with its captivating interactive elements. Hence, it is advisable for educators to contemplate using digital tools such as Cake to boost vocabulary acquisition inside the classroom setting
Analisis Pembelajaran Mufradat Anak Usia Dini Menggunakan Youtube Berdasarkan Teori Behaviorisme Thorndike
Learning Arabic vocabulary in early childhood is essential for developing basic language skills. However, more attention must be paid to applying digital media, such as YouTube, to language learning with a behaviorist approach, specifically Thorndike's theory. This study aims to analyze Arabic vocabulary teaching in early childhood using YouTube based on Thorndike's behaviorism theory at Asy-Syukuriyah TPA. The research method is descriptive qualitative, with a purposive sampling technique involving teachers as informants. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results showed that using YouTube as a medium for learning Arabic vocabulary is to the principles of the law of readiness, practice, and consequences in Thorndike's behaviorism theory. The law of readiness can be seen from the teacher ensuring the children's readiness before starting learning. Furthermore, the law of practice is seen by repeating material through videos to strengthen memory and questions about the material provided. Finally, the law of consequences is seen in the praise given by the teacher when children successfully answer the questions presented. In conclusion, if used strategically and systematically, YouTube as a learning media can be an effective tool in teaching Arabic in early childhood and can strengthen the association between stimulus and response through repetition. The findings have implications that YouTube-based learning based on Thorndike's theory of behaviorism has the potential to be applied more widely, with further research on different age groups and subjects as well as in-depth analysis of student characteristics.Pembelajaran mufradat (kosakata) Bahasa Arab, pada anak usia dini memiliki peran penting dalam mengembangkan keterampilan bahasa mereka sejak dini. Namun, terdapat kesenjangan dalam penerapan media digital, seperti YouTube untuk pembelajaran bahasa dengan pendekatan behaviorisme, khususnya teori Thorndike. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pembelajaran mufradat pada anak usia dini menggunakan youtube berdasarkan teori behaviorisme Thorndike di TPA Asy-Syukuriyah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif, dengan teknik purposive sampling yang melibatkan guru sebagai informan. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan YouTube sebagai media pembelajaran mufradat sesuai dengan prinsip-prinsip hukum kesiapan, latihan, dan akibat dalam teori behaviorisme Thorndike. Guru memastikan kesiapan mental dan fisik anak sebelum pembelajaran, mengulangi materi melalui video untuk memperkuat ingatan, serta memberikan pujian dan penghargaan untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar anak. Penggunaan video YouTube yang menarik dan menyenangkan dapat memperkuat asosiasi antara stimulus dan respons melalui pengulangan. Kesimpulannya, YouTube sebagai media pembelajaran, jika digunakan secara strategis dan sistematis, dapat menjadi alat bantu yang efektif dalam pengajaran Bahasa Arab bagi anak usia dini. Cognitive Function of the Elderly in Banjar Busana, Desa Sibanggede, Badung Regency: A Descriptive Study
Countries around the world are currently entering an aging population era, where the number of elderly individuals is increasing. In the elderly, there is a decline in intrinsic capacities such as physical, mental, and cognitive capacities, which hampers their functional abilities. Cognitive function impairment is an early stage of cognitive decline and is a risk factor for dementia, which significantly disrupts daily activities. Banjar Busana, Desa Sibanggede, is one of the banjars with a relatively large elderly population, totalling 117 individuals. However, data on the cognitive function profile in Banjar Busana, Desa Sibanggede, is not yet definitively available. This study aims to determine the cognitive function profile of the elderly in Banjar Busana, Desa Sibanggede, Badung Regency. The population of this study comprises all elderly individuals in Banjar Busana in 2023, totalling 117 people. The sample size was calculated using the formula by Dean et al., 2013, with a 95% confidence level, resulting in a sample size of 90 individuals. The sample was then selected using simple random sampling. Cognitive function was measured using the MoCA-INA questionnaire. The data were analyzed descriptively and quantitatively. The results showed that the majority of respondents were aged 60-69 years (59%), with more male respondents (51%) than female respondents (49%). Respondents experiencing cognitive function impairment amounted to 47%, while those without cognitive function impairment were 53%. It is recommended to provide more education to the community regarding the dangers of cognitive function impairment and preventive efforts
MEMBINGKAI DIMENSI SDGS INDONESIA MELALUI STRATEGI MARKET CONDUCT, EDUKASI DAN PERLINDUNGAN KONSUMEN ERA EKONOMI DIGITAL
Penelitian ini bertujuan memberikan gambaran kajian perilaku pelaku usaha jasa keuangan (market conduct), edukasi dan perlindungan konsumen yang dibingkai dalam dimensi Sustainable Development Goals sebagai upaya mencapai tujuan pembangunan berkelanjutan tahun 2030. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan peneliti sebagai instrumennya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah analisis konten dengan menggunakan aturan yang berlaku di Otoritas Jasa Keuangan berupa UU No 4 Tahun 2023 dan aturan lain serta hasil pengamatan yang mendukung proses analisis.
Melalui aturan yang telah dijadikan standar acuan yang berlaku diharapkan akan memberikan peluang dalam menemukan potensi kebijakan yang akan membawa perubahan perilaku pelaku usaha jasa keuangan dengan tetap berdasarkan peraturan perundangan yang berlaku. Hasil penelitian diharapkan akan memberikan alternatif solusi untuk penerapan standar yang berlaku menuju terwujudnya tujuan pembangunan berkelanjutan (sustainable development goals) Indonesia.
 
PENGARUH KUALITAS PELAYANAN, FASILITAS DAN HARGA TERHADAP KEPUASAN PASIEN PRAKTEK BIDAN MEGAWATI
The number of independent midwifery practices has been steadily increasing each year, particularly in the area of North Tambun sub-district, necessitating the need for competitiveness to compete with other independent midwifery practices. This research aims to determine the influence of Service Quality, Facilities, and Price on Patient Satisfaction in North Tambun sub-district. The respondents of this study were 100 outpatient patients at Bidan Megawati Debataraja's clinic. The research utilized the accidental sampling method, employing a Google Form questionnaire through a quantitative analysis approach processed using SPSS 25. The statistical data analysis used Classic Assumption Test, Determinant Test, Multiple Linear Regression Analysis, and Hypothesis Test. The results of the study indicate that there is a positive and significant partial influence of service quality on patient satisfaction. However, there is no significant positive partial influence of facilities on patient satisfaction. Additionally, there is a positive and significant partial influence of price on patient satisfaction. Simultaneously, there is a positive and significant influence of service quality, facilities, and price on patient satisfaction
The Role of Work Motivation in Mediating Work Discipline and Work Culture on Employee Performance
Work dicipline and work culture are based variable that can affect employee performance. The purpose of this research is to analyze (1) the effect of work discipline and work culture on employee performance; and (2) the role of work motivation in mediating work discipline and work culture on employee performance. Research conducted at PT. Multi Jaya Agung in Denpasar City, Bali Province. The number of research samples is 50 respondents. Respondents in this study were 50 employees. Data analysis using the smartPLS 3.2.8 program. The results showed that Work Discipline had a not significant positive effect on employee performance, work discipline had a positive and significant effect on work motivation, work motivation had a positive but not significant effect on employee performance, work culture had a positive and significant effect on employee performance, work culture had a positive effect and significant effect on work motivation, work motivation does not mediate work discipline on employee performance, and work motivation does not mediate work culture on employee performance.
