Optimizing Classroom Engagement: Improving Student Focus and Participation Using the Talking Stick Learning Model
This research aims to investigate methods to enhance student engagement and attentiveness during classroom instruction. Specifically, it explores the effectiveness of the talking stick learning model in fostering active listening among students. Adopting a qualitative approach with a phenomenological lens, this study examines the experiences of a group of students in utilizing talking sticks during classroom interactions. Through direct observation and interviews, data were collected to assess students' level of involvement, focus, and participation following the implementation of the talking stick model. The findings reveal that the majority of students (29 out of 32) demonstrated improved listening skills with the implementation of the talking stick method, indicating its potential efficacy in enhancing classroom dynamics. This study sheds light on innovative strategies to promote student engagement and active learning
A research of semantic field Semantic Field of Oral Activity in Sasak Language in The Ampenan District
This research is entitled Semantic Field of Oral Activity in Sasak Language at Ampenan District. The aim of this research is to classify and analyze the components of the oral activities in Ampenan District. This is qualitative research that uses a descriptive approach. To collect data, this research uses the introspection method; listening method with tapping techniques, uninvolved listening techniques, note-taking techniques; and cakap (speak) method. Furthermore, to analyze the data, this research used the intralingual matching method to classify lexemes of the semantic field and the extra-lingual matching method to analyze the components of each lexeme. Meanwhile, to present the results of the analysis, both formal and informal methods are used. The data of this research include lexemes of the semantic field of oral activity and the components of each lexeme in the Sasak language. A total of 30 oral activity lexemes were found to occupy the semantic field with the classification: (1) the oral activity, to eat, (2) to drink, (3) to speak, (4) to make sounds, and (5) to produce something (besides sound) from the mouth
Modulation Technique in Clarifying the Implicature of Qur’anic Kin?yah Verses
Modulation techniques are used when there is a gap in the lexical meaning of a translation, so a shift in semantic meaning is needed, such as a change in perspective, to avoid untranslatability in translation. This study analyzes the use of modulation techniques in translating Qur’anic kin?yah verses. Kin?yah is a figurative expression to describe something with a different meaning from its original. Therefore, translating kin?yah verses requires an in-depth understanding of the implicature hidden in the utterance. This study uses a qualitative approach with a content analysis method. The researcher will examine the content of the study of Qur’anic kin?yah verses and their translations from the Ministry of Religious Affairs. The research uses primary data sources in the form of Qur’anic kin?yah verses with a law theme due to differences of opinion among scholars and researchers. Then, the research analyzes the application of the modulation techniques and their implicature meaning based on relevance. The research finds that the Qur’anic kin?yah verses have shifted meaning from denotative to connotative, which aims to hide the original meaning and avoid inappropriate words. After analyzing the implicature meaning, it is found that the law-themed Qur’anic kin?yah verses contain majazi (connotative) meanings that refer to the meaning of intercourse as seven utterances, marriage as two utterances, and menstrual blood as one utterance. The shift in meaning has implications for better understanding and avoiding ambiguity in the translated text. Also, it contributes to the improvement of the readability and quality of translated Qur’anic verses
Increasing the Students’ Ability in Reading Comprehension by Using Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) Strategy at the Eighth Grade of SMP Negeri 3 Gunungsitoli Selatan in 2023/2024
Reading is a process that starts with word recognition, progresses to comprehension, and involves the reader and the text negotiating meaning. The aim of the study was to improve the reading comprehension skills of eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 3 Gunungsitoli Selatan in 2023–2024 by implementing the Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) program. Two Stay Two Stray is the strategy that give opportunities for students to share the information with other learning groups in classroom activities. Some students of the eighth grade could not comprehend the particular descriptive text in the form of identifing the generic structure of reading comprehension especially in descriptive text, and the students were unable to understand the language features of reading comprehension especially descriptive text.In this research, Classroom Action Research (CAR) were applied by the researcher, that has devided into two cycles and two meetings for each. In the first cycle the students skills in reading comprehension were not satisfying due to the students level of “very fail and less level” moreover, the teaching enviromentalin learning process under the ideal condition, in cycle two the condition of teaching learning process were very good, so the result is satisfying. Scores ranged from 65 to 85, with 85 being the highest possible. Furthermore, the lowest possible score was 65 while the average for students in Cycle II was 85. Moreover, Cycle II students' average score was 72.The Two Stay Two Stray Strategy can improve pupils' reading comprehension skills, according on the researcher's analysis of the research findings
Textual Discourse Analysis in the Raya and the Last Dragon Movie
is study examines textual discourse in the animated movie “Raya and the Last Dragon,” with a focus on grammatical and lexical cohesion to understand how language supports narrative coherence and emotional impact. Although there is substantial research on textual cohesion and discourse patterns in various contexts, there is a notable gap in investigating how animated films, which merge visual and verbal elements, use these linguistic techniques to construct complex narratives. This research addresses this gap by applying Halliday and Hasan's (1976) theoretical framework to analyze how cohesive devices function within the film’s dialogues. Through the descriptive-qualitative method, the research explores cohesive devices to enhance our comprehension of this linguistic phenomenon. Data collection involved meticulously observing the movie and analyzing the data through both formal and informal methods. The analysis revealed 416 instances of grammatical elements, with references being the most frequently used. These references ensure clarity and continuity in dialogues by linking back to previously mentioned characters or objects, thereby keeping the conversation smooth and coherent. In the lexical analysis, 78 instances were identified, with repetition being the most common. Repetition emphasized key themes, strengthened emotional connections, and effectively conveyed the movie's main messages. This study provides new insights into how animated films uniquely employ cohesive devices to enhance storytelling and character development, and contributing to the broader field of textual discourse analysis
ANALISA PENGARUH GAJI, LINGKUNGAN KERJA, PELATIHAN DAN PENGEMBANGAN TERHADAP KEPUASAN KARYAWAN PADA TONYS VILLAS & RESORT, SEMINYAK-BALI
Abstrak
Kemajuan dan keberlangsungan organisasi sangatlah ditentukan oleh unsur Sumber Daya Manusia. Karena Sumber Daya Manusia merupakan inti dari sebuah organisasi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah 1) Gaji berpengaruh secara parsial terhadap Kepuasan Karyawan, 2) Lingkungan Kerja berpengaruh secara parsial terhadap Kepuasan Karyawan, 3) Pelatihan dan pengembangan berpengaruh secara parsial terhadap Kepuasan Karyawan serta 4) apakah Gaji, Lingkungan Kerja, Pelatihan dan pengembangan berpengaruh secara simultan terhadap Kepuasan Karyawan pada Tonys Villas & Resort, Seminyak-Bali Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif terhadap karyawan Tonys Villas & Resort, Seminyak-Bali. Populasi penelitian adalah karyawan kontrak Tonys Villas & Resort, Seminyak-Bali dengan sampel penelitian sebanyak 80 responden dengan menggunakan metode sensus atau sampel jenuh. Teknik analisis statistik inferensial menggunakan analisis regresi linier berganda dengan bantuan software SPSS.25.0. Instrumen tes yang digunakan adalah uji validitas dan reliabilitas dengan menggunakan pendekatan korelasi bivariate, analisis korelasi indikator terhadap konstruk menggunakan analisis konformatori faktor dan uji hipotesis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gaji, lingkungan kerja serta pelatihan dan pengembangan berpengaruh simultan terhadap kepuasan kerja karyawan, selanjutnya secara parsial ditemukan bahwa gaji serta pelatihan dan pengembangan berpengaruh terhadap kepuasan karyawan namun lingkungan kerja tidak berpengaruh terhadap kepuasan kerja karyawan pada Tonys Villas & Resort, Seminyak-Bali.
Abstract
The progress and sustainability of the organization is largely determined by the Human Resources element. Because Human Resources is the core of an organization. The purpose of this study was to find out whether 1) Salary has a partial effect on Employee Satisfaction, 2) Work Environment has a partial effect on Employee Satisfaction, 3) Training and development has a partial effect on Employee Satisfaction and 4) Does Salary, Work Environment, Training and development have a simultaneous effect on employee satisfaction at Tonys Villas & Resort, Seminyak-Bali This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach to the employees of Tonys Villas & Resort, Seminyak-Bali. The research population was Tonys Villas & Resort Seminyak-Bali contract employees with a sample of 80 respondents using the census method or saturated sample. The inferential statistical analysis technique uses multiple linear regression analysis with the help of SPSS.25.0 software. The test instruments used were validity and reliability tests using a bivariate correlation approach, analysis of the correlation of indicators to constructs using conformational factor analysis and hypothesis testing. The results of the study show that salary, work environment and training and development have an effect simultaneously on employee job satisfaction, then it is partially found that salary and training and development have an effect on employee satisfaction but the work environment has no effect on employee job satisfaction at Tonys Villas & Resort, Seminyak – Bali.

THE INFLUENCE OF GOVERNANCE AND PROFITABILITY MECHANISMS ON CORPORATE VALUE WITH ENVIRONMENTAL DISCLOSURES AS A MEDIATION VARIABLE
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji dan menganalisis pengaruh pengungkapan lingkungan dalam memediasi hubungan antara tata kelola dan profitabilitas terhadap nilai perusahaan pada Perusahan PROPER. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh perusahaan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) periode 2019 sampai 2022. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 540 data. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa mekanisme tata kelola dan profitabilitas meningkatkan nilai perusahaan artinya investor cenderung melihat mekanisme tata kelola dan profitabilitas sebagai sinyal dalam menentukan keputusan investasi. Pengungkapan lingkungan tidak dapat meningkatkan nilai perusahaan, investor tidak memandang dan pengungkapan lingkungan sebagai isu yang menarik dan dianggap tidak memiliki kandungan informasi. Hasil penelitian ini juga membuktikan bahwa tata kelola dan profitabilitas tidak dapat meningkatkan nilai perusahaan melalui pengungkapan lingkungan.

The population in this study is all companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the period 2019 to 2022. The sample used in this study was 540 data. The results of this study show that governance and profitability mechanisms increase company value, meaning that investors tend to see governance mechanisms and profitability as signals in determining investment decisions. Environmental disclosure cannot increase the value of the company, investors do not view and environmental disclosure as an attractive issue and are considered to have no information content. The results of this study also prove that governance and profitability cannot increase corporate value through environmental disclosure.

PENGENDALIAN PERSEDIAAN PART NON MOVING DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN METODE FSN ANALISIS
Agung Toyota Tabanan merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang otomotif serta mempunyai 3 divisi yaitu Administrasi, Operasional dan Marketing. Divisi Admisnistrasi menangani semua pembukuan, akuntansi dan aktivitas kesekretariatan di dalam perusahaan. Divisi Operasional terdiri dari kegiatan bengkel dan kegiatan spare part dalam menyediakan item untuk kendaaraan yang akan melakukan servis ke Agung Toyota Tabanan. Divisi Marketing menangani pemasaran mobil baru. Divisi Operasional, khususnya pada bagian spare part, selalu mengalami permasalahan yaitu tidak bisa secara rutin mengendalikan persediaan part non moving sesuai dengan target yang sudah ditetapkan oleh induk perusahaan. Masalah ini terjadi disebabkan adanya beberapa persediaan part non moving memiliki frekuensi permintaan yang tinggi hingga melebihi batas maksimal permintaan terhadap part non moving. Oleh karena itu diperlukan metode FSN Analysis untuk mengendalikan persediaan part non moving demi meminimalisir terjadinya over stock. Metodologi yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah analisis deskriptif kuantitatif dengan melakukan pengumpulan data seperti observasi atau pengamatan, wawancara dan studi kepustakaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode FSN Analysis di Agung Toyota Tabanan terhadap persediaan spare part sangat bermanfaat dalam memandu pembelian dan pemesanan. Hal ini dapat memberikan gambaran yang jelas kepada manajemen ketika pergerakan part berubah menjadi slow moving dari kategori non moving, atau sebaliknya. Sehingga dapat membantu untuk mengkategorikan kembali dan mempertahankan tingkat persediaan yang optimal sesuai dengan pergerakan aktual part selama beberapa waktu.

Pengaruh Aktivitas sosial Dan Lingkungan Terhadap Nilai perusahaan Dengan Gender Deversity Sebagai variabel Moderasi Pada Perusahaan Pertambangan
Penelitian ini bertujuan menginvestigasi peranan moderasi Gender Diversity Dewan Direksi dan Gender Diversity Dewan Komisaris atas pengaruh aktivitas sosial dan aktivitas lingkungan terhadap nilai perusahaan. Populasi penelitian adalah Perusahaan Pertambangan terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia dari Tahun 2017 sampai 2021. Variabel penelitian ini terdiri dari: variabel independen yaitu aktivitas sosial dan aktivitas lingkungan, variabel dependen yaitu nilai perusahaam diukur dengan price book value (PBV), variabel moderasi gender diversity Dewan Direksi dan Dewan Komisaris serta menggunakan 3 variabel kontrol yaitu ukuran perusahaan (size), umur perusahaan serta return on assets (RAO). Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis regresi linear berganda dengan SPSS 17.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukan aktivitas sosial berpengaruh negatif signifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan, aktivitas lingkungan berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan. Hasil pengujian moderasi Gender Diversity Dewan Direksi berperan memperlemah pengaruh aktivitas lingkungan terhadap nilai perusahaan, namaun tidak berperan mememoderasi pengaruh aktivitas sosial terhadap nilai perusahaan. Gender Diversity Dewan Komisaris berperan memperkuat pengaruh aktivitas lingkungan terhadap nilai perusahaan namum berperan memperlemah pengaruh aktivitas sosial terhadap nilai perusahaan. Hasil pengujian variabel kontrol umur perusahaan dan ROA berpengaruh terhadap nilai perusahaan, tetapi size tidak berpengaruh terhadap nilai perusahaan. Limitasi penelitian ini belum memasukan aktivitas ekonomi dan tata kelola sebagai diterminan dari nialai perusahaan dan tekanan stakeholder sebagai variabel moderasi. 
Pengaruh Kualitas Pelayanan Dan Harga Terhadap Word Of Mouth, Melalui Kepuasan Orang Tua Sebagai Variable Intervening Pada Lembaga Kursus Gambar Funart Studio Di Kota Semarang
This research aimed to analyze the influence of service quality and price on word of mouth, with customer satisfaction acting as the intervening variable, at FunArt Studio in Semarang. Data for this study were obtained through the distribution of questionnaires, resulting in a sample size of 68 respondents. The data were analyzed using path analysis and the Sobel test with SPSS 25.0. The findings of this study concluded that (1) service quality has a significant direct and indirect impact on word of mouth through customer satisfaction, (2) price has a significant direct and indirect impact on word of mouth through customer satisfaction, and (3) customer satisfaction has a significant impact on word of mouth..
