Hubungan antara Kecanduan Media Sosial dengan Kecemasan pada Siswa SMA Negeri 4 Denpasar
[The Relationship between Social Media Addiction and Anxiety of SMA Negeri 4 Denpasar]
As technology and information develop, humans cannot be separated from social media. Currently, social media addiction is something experienced by teenagers, they are willing to spend their time which can have a negative impact on psychological conditions, one of which is anxiety. There are many health problems experienced by adolescents, one of which is anxiety. This study aims to determine the relationship between social media addiction and anxiety in students of SMA Negeri 4 Denpasar. This study used an analytic observational method with a cross-sectional approach. The study was conducted at SMA Negeri 4 Denpasar with the study population including all students totaling 1466 students and responded by 258 students. Data collection was conducted using the Social Media Addiction questionnaire adapted from the Internet Addiction Test (IAT) and the Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS) questionnaire. Furthermore, the data will be analyzed bivariate using the IBM application SPSS25 and with the Spearman test method. The analysis result is said to be significant if the p-value <0.05. The results showed that most respondents did not experience anxiety (62%). In level of social media addiction are mostly at a moderate level (65.1%). The value Spearman test obtained is 0.388 which indicates the strength of the correlation is low and unidirectional. This means that there is a relationship between social media addiction and anxiety in students of SMA Negeri 4 Denpasar.
Seiring berkembangnya teknologi dan informasi, manusia tidak dapat dipisahkan dari media sosial. Saat ini kecanduan media sosial adalah hal yang dialami oleh remaja, mereka rela menghabiskan waktunya yang dapat berdampak negatif bagi keadaan psikologis salah satunya kecemasan. Terdapat banyak masalah kesehatan yang dialami remaja, salah satunya kecemasan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan kecanduan media sosial dengan kecemasan pada siswa SMA Negeri 4 Denpasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode observasional analitik dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Penelitian dilakukan di SMA Negeri 4 Denpasar dengan populasi penelitian mencakup seluruh siswa yang berjumlah 1466 siswa dan direspon oleh 258 siswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan kuesioner Kecanduan Media Sosial yang diadaptasi dari Internet Addiction Test (IAT) dan kuesioner Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS). Selanjutnya, data dianalisis secara bivariat menggunakan aplikasi IBM SPSS25 dengan metode uji Spearman dengan hasil analisis dikatakan signifikan apabila nilai p <0,05. Didapatkan hasil mayoritas responden tidak mengalami kecemasan (62%). Pada tingkat kecanduan media sosial mayoritas pada tingkat sedang (65,1%). Nilai uji Spearman yang diperoleh adalah 0,388 yang menunjukkan hasil positif searah dengan kekuatan korelasi rendah. Hal ini menunjukkan hubungan antara kecanduan media sosial dengan kecemasan pada siswa SMA Negeri 4 Denpasar.
 
Hubungan Tingkat Stres dengan Kadar Glukosa Darah Puasa pada Pasien DM Tipe 2 di RSUD Sanjiwani Gianyar
[Relationship between Stress Levels and Fasting Blood Glucose in Type 2 DM Patients at Sanjiwani Hospital Gianyar]
Diabetes mellitus is a chronic dissease that causes effects on the metabolic system. In a stressful situation, there is excessive production of the cortisol, which reduces the body's sensitivity to insulin. Cortisol can make glucose difficult to enter cells and accumulate in the blood, increasing blood glucose levels. The purpose of this research is to analyze the correlation between stress levels and fasting blood glucose levels in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients at Sanjiwani Hospital, Gianyar. The method used analytical observational with a cross sectional approach using 95 sample of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus in Sanjiwani Hospital and using a consecutive sampling technique. Data collection using primary sources : a diabetic distress scale questionnaire and secondary data (medical records). Data analysis by spearman test. The characteristics of the research subjects were that the majority the late elderly age range (44.2%), the majority of patients were male (53.7%), their highest education was high school (44.2%), as many as (31.6%) worked as self-employed, and patients had no family history of DM (69.5%). The stress level of the subjects in this study was dominated by severe stress levels (45.3%) almost of subjects' glucose was high (74.7%). The results of the Spearman correlation test analysis obtained a significance value of 0.00 with a significance level of 0.05, which means there is a correlation between stress levels and fasting blood sugar levels in type 2 DM patients at Sanjiwani Hospital. The correlation coefficient figure shows 0.373, meaning the strength of the relationship is weak. The correlation coefficient positive so that the corellation between the variables is one direction, meaning the stress can increase the blood glucose levels.
Penyakit kronis yang sering terjadi yaitu diabetes melitus, diabetes menimbulkan efek pada sistem metabolik. Dalam keadaan stres, hormon kortisol akan meningkat dan sensitivitas insulin pada tubuh akan menurun sehingga bisa membuat glukosa tinggi. Tujuan dari penelitian untuk mencari korelasi stres dengan GDP penderita DM tipe 2 di RSUD Sanjiwani Gianyar. Metode yang digunakan yaitu observasional dengan pendekatan cross sectional dengan menggunakan sampel pasien DM tipe 2 di RSUD Sanjiwani Gianyar yang berjumlah 95 orang dan diambil menggunakan teknik consecutive sampling. Pengambilan data menggunakan data primer yaitu kuesioner Diabetic Distress Scale dan data sekunder yaitu rekam medis. Analisis data dilakukan secara univariat dan bivariat (uji spearman). Karakteristik responden penelitian mayoritas memiliki rentang usia lansia akhir (44,2%), mayoritas berjenis kelamin laki-laki (53,7%), pendidikan terakhir yaitu SMA (44,2 %), sebanyak (31,6%) bekerja sebagai wiraswasta, dan pasien tidak memiliki riwayat keluarga DM (69,5%). Tingkat stres responden penelitian ini didominasi memiliki tingkat stres berat sebanyak (45,3%) dan mayoritas glukosa darah pada responden yaitu tinggi (74,7%). Hasil analisis uji korelasi spearman diperolah nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,00 dengan taraf signifikan sebesar 0,05 artinya terdapat korelasi tingkat stres dengan glukosa darah puasa pada pasien DM tipe 2 di RSUD Sanjiwani Gianyar. Angka koefisien korelasi menunjukkan angka 0,373 artinya kekuatan hubungan yang lemah. Koefisien korelasi nilainya positif artinya korelasi masing-masing varabel bersifat searah maka dari itu semakin berat tingkat stres maka menyebabkan glukosa darah semakin tinggi.
 
Pemberdayaan Keluarga Pasien Dalam Perawatan Penyakit Paru Obstruktif Kronik (PPOK) di Rumah
Penyakit Paru Obstruktif Kronik (PPOK) suatu penyakit pada saluran pernafasan yang ditandai dengan adanya obstruksi atau penyempitan yang bersifat kronis. PPOK akan menurunkan kualitas hidup penderita sehingga penderita memerlukan perawatan jangka panjang. Peran penting keluarga pasien adalah memberikan dukungan dan perawatan kepada pasien. Rendahnya pengetahuan mitra tentang penyakit PPOK khususnya dalam hal perawatan pasien di rumah merupakan permasalahan prioritas mitra. Kegiatan PKM ini bertujuan memberikan solusi pemecahan masalah kesehatan mitra melalui upaya peningkatan pengetahuan mitra tentang penyakit PPOK. Kegiatan yang dilaksanakan adalah penyuluhan mengenai gejala, penyebab, cara penularan, cara pencegahan, dan pengobatan PPOK. Sedangkan berkaitan dengan perawatan di rumah, pemecahan masalah yang dapat diberikan adalah pelatihan tentang cara perawatan pasien di rumah, penyerahan paket alat dan obat nebulizer di rumah serta pendampingan mitra pasca kegiatan penyuluhan dan pelatihan. Tahapan kegiatan PKM yaitu persiapan, analisa situasi, penentuan sasaran dan kegiatan, penyuluhan, pelatihan penggunaan alat nebulizer, penyerahan bantuan alat nebulizer, pendampingan selama satu bulan, evaluasi dan pembuatan laporan kegiatan PKM. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi kegiatan PKM disimpulkan bahwa tingkat pengetahuan mitra meningkat rata-rata 93% setelah kegiatan PKM, mitra dapat menyediakan alat nebulizer di rumah serta mampu menggunakan alat nebulizer dengan benar sehingga mempermudah perawatan pasien secara mandiri
Unveiling the Enigmatic Semiotics of Batak Culture in Missing Home Movie
Culture is one of the lifestyles inherited from generation to generation. This research aims to unveil Batak Toba culture in Missing Home movie by using Barthes’ Semiotic theory since Batak Toba culture is very well-known for its diversity. Descriptive qualitative method through collecting data predominantly in the form of words, images, and other visual or textual representations was used since this research focused on social phenomena and its nature, provide a holistic description or action which was conveyed in the form of words and language for a special context. The object of the research was a movie released in 2022 namely Missing Home. Barthes’ semiotic theory (denotation, connotation and myth) was employed to analyzed the data. Semiotic can be in the form of songs, music notes, dialogue and body movements which in this research Barthes prioritizes 3 main pillars, namely denotation, connotation and myth. This research carried out several concepts with the aim of revealing Barthes' semiotic signs. The sign has been shown through images, dialog, scenes and the background of the movie. Based on the analysis, it was found that there were 7 scenes contained the semiotic meaning (denotation, connotation and myth) from Barthes’ semiotic theory. To conclude, this research can shed light on how cultural symbols, rituals, and traditions are portrayed, provide insights into how cultural elements are interpreted and represented in media, especially within the context of a specific movie
Teacher Contribution as Learning Agent at SMP Negeri 32 Pekanbaru
Education is a process in the form of learning and teaching activities which basically has the aim of equipping students to be able to have the ability to interact and master the knowledge that has been taught. Teachers play a role and become a factor that greatly determines the smoothness and running of an education, because all learning activities are the centre of the entire educational process. The purpose of this research is to find out the role of teachers as learning agents at SMP Negeri 32 Pekanbaru. This research uses descriptive qualitative method with the research subjects are teachers at SMP Negeri 32 Pekanbaru as many as 11 people. Data collection techniques in this study were obtained through interviews, observation and documentation. The results showed various perceptions of teachers who were able to provide a good learning agent role for students, such as the role of the teacher as a facilitator, the role of the teacher as a motivator, the role of the teacher as a driver of learning, the role of the teacher as a learning engineer, and the role of the teacher as an inspirer, and teachers were able to identify some of the potential of students related to the lessons taught, learning problems that they like, teaching subjects by giving re-evaluation before starting learning in the classroom
Hastag War on Social Media: Unraveling Framing Strategies in the Duel #2019GantiPresiden Vs. #DiaSibukKerja
Social media has emerged as the primary avenue for individuals to articulate their political and social stances. Hashtag wars, a prevalent phenomenon, witness divergent groups utilizing hashtags to promote their agendas and express viewpoints. Within the political realm, these hashtag battles often serve as arenas for discourse and mass mobilization. This study aimed to unveil the framing strategies employed in the hashtag war between #2019GantiPresiden and #DiaSibukKerja on social media. Utilizing a content analysis approach, the research scrutinizes hashtag usage, conveyed messages, and user responses. Various framing techniques, including episodic and thematic framing, alongside positive and negative framing, are analyzed. Moreover, the research explores the influence of social media usage and user interactions on the dissemination of political messages during hashtag wars. Findings indicate the dominance of #2019GantiPresiden in the social media hashtag war. The framing strategies and political discourse of both hashtags serve distinct purposes. #2019GantiPresiden utilizes sentiment-driven or provocative language to highlight dissatisfaction with Jokowi's leadership, while #DiaSibukKerja underscores Jokowi's achievements, emphasizing stability and success. In terms of hashtag impact, #2019GantiPresiden effectively influences public opinion and garners widespread support. Conversely, #DiaSibukKerja succeeds in portraying Jokowi's leadership positively. The practical implications of this research can aid stakeholders in politics and social media to comprehend effective framing techniques for disseminating political messages through digital platforms
Analysis of Speech and Thought Presentation in Children’s Storybook Frozen: A Stylistic Study
Stylistic speech and thought presentation play crucial roles in shaping characters and enriching readers' experiences in children’s storybooks. This study delved into the depiction of speech and thought in the "Frozen" Storybook, an adaptation of Disney's 2013 film. Employing a non-participant descriptive qualitative methodology, the research analyzes internet-accessible data, employing the framework proposed by Leech and Short (2007), categorizing speech and thought into ten distinct categories. The analysis uncovers eight presentation types across twenty-two instances, with speech representation occurring twelve times and thought representation ten times. Predominant categories include IS (Indirect Speech), FIT (Free Indirect Thought), and NRTA (Narrative Report of Thought and Action), each appearing four times. Additionally, FDS (Free Direct Speech), DS (Direct Speech), FIS (Free Indirect Speech), and IT (Indirect Thought) occur three or two times, while NRSA (Narrative Report of Speech Act) occurs once. Notably, DT (Direct Thought) and FDT (Free Direct Thought) are absent. Analyzing speech and thought presentation in children’s storybooks yields insights into characters' communication and cognition, aiding readers, particularly children, in understanding motivations, emotions, and personalities. Furthermore, it fosters language development and enhances comprehension skills by exposing young readers to diverse presentation forms. Additionally, it contributes to literary analysis by elucidating authors' stylistic choices and their storytelling impacts. Ultimately, examining speech and thought presentation enhances both reading experiences and scholarly discourse on children’s literature
Religiosity in the Novel of “Garuda di Dadaku†by Salman Aristo: A Semiotic Analysis and Its Relevance to High School Literature Education
This research carries the main objective of uncovering the religious values contained in the novel “Garuda di Dadaku†by Salman Aristo and exploring its relevance in the context of literary education in secondary schools. Through a semiotic approach, this study aims to identify and analyze the various religious themes implied in the literary work, including aspects such as faith, Sharia, and morality. In an educational context, these values have great potential to be integrated into the literature curriculum in secondary schools as part of the effort to teach students Islamic character, morals, and teachings. The results of the research analysis highlight key elements such as Aqidah, Sharia, justice, responsibility, and effort contained in the novel. The findings not only provide deep insights into the religious messages conveyed through such literary works, but also provide a solid basis for developing relevant and effective learning strategies in the classroom. By using the novel as teaching material, literature teachers can facilitate in-depth discussions on the religious values found in the story, providing students with opportunities to reflect on and internalize the moral messages conveyed. Thus, this study emphasizes the importance of using literature as a tool to discuss and instill religious values in students. As a relevant and effective resource in literature learning in secondary schools, the novel “Garuda di Dadaku†not only provides a deep reading experience, but also opens the door for deep reflection on life values and religious teachings. Thus, this study makes an important contribution to curriculum development and literature learning practices centered on understanding religious values, semiotics, and students' literary experience
Enhancing Students’ Reading Comprehension Quality Using the Jigsaw Method: A Case Study of Students in Universities
This study explored the enhancement of students' reading comprehension in language learning through the application of the Jigsaw method in university environments. Employing a qualitative research approach, data regarding the improvement of students' reading comprehension quality were gathered from students enrolled at Muhammadiyah Bhuton University, Gorontalo State University, and Muhammadiyah Mataram University. Data collection utilized the observe-participant conversation method, wherein the researcher observed the enhancement of students' reading abilities across multiple campuses. Additionally, interviews with students and lecturers were conducted to investigate research problems, with recording and note-taking techniques employed to ensure data accuracy. Reflective introspective methods were further employed, engaging both the researcher and informants in discourse based on their respective experiences. The collected data underwent reduction, classification, and verification based on their types. Subsequently, the data were tabulated through the assignment of codes to each piece of information, followed by interpretation. The research findings revealed that the improvement of students' reading abilities in Indonesian language courses at Muhammadiyah Bhuton University progressed smoothly and effectively. Furthermore, the enhancement of Arabic language reading abilities at Muhammadiyah Mataram University was broader and more intensive, while the improvement of English language reading abilities at Gorontalo State University contributed to enhanced comprehension of English texts. The practical implications of these findings suggest that cooperative approaches like the Jigsaw method can serve as effective alternatives for enhancing students' reading comprehension abilities in university setting
Assertive Speech Acts in the Second Debate Event for Vice Presidential Candidates of the Republic of Indonesia 2024
This research aims to describe and analyze assertive speech acts in the debate event for the second candidate for Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia 2024. The method used in this research is a content analysis method with a qualitative approach. The qualitative approach is an approach that examines scientific objects in the form of narrative texts, while the content analysis method is a method that involves an in-depth discussion of the content of written information. The data source for this research is the KPU RI YouTube channel which is currently hotly discussed and watched by the wider community. The data collection techniques used in this research are observation techniques, note techniques, and documentation techniques. In this research the author found 43 assertive speech acts, consisting of 26 speech acts of informing, 6 speech acts of suggesting, 5 speech acts of stating, 1 speech act of reporting, 3 speech acts of complaining, 1 speech act of demanding and 1 speech act of disappointing. Based on the utterances spoken, the speech act with the most is the speech act of telling as many as 26 utterances because this speech act contains information that one wants to give to the interlocutor and the general public, while the utterances with the fewest are the speech act of reporting, the speech act of demanding and the speech act of jealousy each with 1 statement. So, it can be said that an assertive speech act is a speech act that binds the speaker to the truth of what is being said, therefore the speaker should pay attention to his speech when speaking, especially to the general publi
