A FUNÇÃO-AUTOR EM FOUCAULT NA ERA DA INTELIGÊNCIA ARTIFICIAL
Full text linkThis essay assesses the author-function as conceptualized by Michel Foucault in the context of contemporary artificial intelligence algorithms. It draws upon a comprehensive review of relevant literature and employs discourse analysis to examine the concept of artificial intelligence and its intersections with Foucault's seminal 1969 lecture, "What is an author?" delivered at the French Philosophical Society.O presente ensaio avalia a Função-Autor desenvolvida por Michel Foucault frente ao emprego contemporâneo dos algoritmos de Inteligência Artificial. Realizado por meio de revisão bibliográfica e componentes da Análise de Discurso, o texto explora inicialmente a categoria “Inteligência Artificial” para então confrontá-la com o teor da conferência “o que é um autor?” de Foucault, realizada na Sociedade Francesa de Filosofia em 1969

Full text linkEste relato de experiência descreve a adaptação e condução da oficina de alongamentos e flexibilidade ofertada pela Universidade Aberta à Terceira Idade (UATI), da Universidade Estadual de Feira de Santana (UEFS), durante o ano de 2020, frente ao cenário da pandemia da COVID-19. A oficina teve início de forma presencial em março de 2020, sendo interrompida logo na segunda semana devido ao decreto de isolamento social. A partir disso, foi necessário migrar para o formato remoto, utilizando ferramentas como o WhatsApp e o YouTube para a continuidade das atividades. O objetivo da oficina foi promover a saúde física e o bem-estar dos idosos, prevenindo o isolamento social, incentivando a prática regular de exercícios físicos e mantendo o vínculo entre os participantes. A iniciativa proporcionou benefícios significativos à saúde física e emocional dos idosos, promovendo autonomia, autoestima e interação social, mesmo diante das limitações tecnológicas enfrentadas por alguns participantes e pela própria equipe docente

Full text linkEste trabalho apresenta um projeto de iniciação científica que tem por objetivo analisar como o conceito de derivada foi abordado no livro Matemática: ciências e aplicações, na 2ª edição de 2004, destinado à 3ª série do Ensino Médio. Na perspectiva futura de alcançar tal objetivo, na elaboração do referido projeto de pesquisa, dialogamos com Bitencourt (2004) para compreender a complexidade do livro didático e consideramos os autores Lima, Dynnikov e Valente (2020) e Carvalho (1996) na construção da revisão de literatura sobre as tentativas de inserção do Cálculo Diferencial e Integral na escola básica.
O diálogo com tal literatura de apoio nos possibilitará interrogar o livro didático tomado como fonte
The Impact of Pesticides on the Antioxidant System of Apis Mellifera Bees - A Systematic Review
No full textDuring foraging, bees come into contact with different pesticides when collecting crop resources, affecting not only the bees but also the entire colony, resulting in damage to the antioxidant and immune system and a reduction in the number of individuals in the colony. An efficient antioxidant system is essential for bees due to their high metabolic rate, which produces significant free radicals under physiological conditions. Antioxidant enzymes such as superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), and glutathione S-transferase (GST) are essential for combating oxidative stress. To better understand these effects, we adopted a systematic approach to review existing research on the potential impacts of pesticides on the antioxidant system of honey bees. Therefore, this review aims to list the papers published between 2020-2023 and show the effects of pesticides (insecticides, herbicides, and fungicides) on the antioxidant system of honey bees, focusing on the enzymes CAT, SOD, and GST. A total of 19 articles were found that met the criteria of this review, of which approximately 89% of the experiments were conducted in the laboratory and only 11% in the field. All of the studies assessed the exposure of bees to pesticides through ingestion, highlighting the lack of studies using the contact exposure method and conducting experiments in the field. It was, therefore, possible to suggest several points for future research to improve the current knowledge base on the potential effects of pesticides on honey bees
Integrating Natural Nest Characteristics into the Design of Sustainable Hives and Trap Nests for Tetragonula iridipennis (Smith) in the Western Ghats, India
Full text linkThe stingless bee species Tetragonula iridipennis (Hymenoptera: Apidae: Meliponinae) is native to India’s Western Ghats, a biodiversity hotspot. It plays a critical role in pollination and ecosystem stability. This study aimed to develop suitable trap nests and hive designs for the sustainable maintenance of T. iridipennis by analyzing its natural nesting ecology and nest architecture. Seven trap nest designs and four hive types were evaluated based on parameters including brood size, the number of honey and pollen pots, honey pot segregation, brood temperature, and percentage increase in brood volume and storage pots. Among trap nests, reused Apis cerana hives performed best, followed by bamboo slits, wooden hives, and coconut shells. Hive design significantly influenced colony development. The rectangular box with two halves showed the highest brood volume and the greatest number of honey and pollen pots, while the rectangular box with two compartments had the lowest. However, honey pot segregation –important for hygienic honey harvesting – was observed only in the Utrecht University Tobago (UTOB) hive, which had two compartments. The best-performing design for colony growth lacked segregation. Brood temperature did not vary significantly across designs. These findings suggest the rectangular box with two halves is optimal for brood and resource production, but may not support clean honey harvesting. Future designs should combine the advantages of colony development and honey pot segregation. Such tailored hive models could support the conservation and sustainable beekeeping of T. iridipennis in the Western Ghats
