Pemanfaatan Limbah Serbuk Gergaji Kayu Dengan Campuran Batu Bara Aceh Barat Sebagai Bahan Baku Pembuatan Briket
Briket merupakan salah satu bahan bakar alternatif padat dari bahan organik. Bahan baku pembuatan briket yang memiliki nilai kalor tinggi dapat diperoleh dari limbah peternakan dan pertanian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memproduksi briket dari serbuk gergaji dan batubara Aceh dengan penambahan oksidator KMnO₄ 0,1 N. Proses penelitian meliputi persiapan bahan baku, karbonisasi serbuk kayu pada suhu 400 °C, pembuatan perekat dengan penambahan oksidator KMnO₄ 0,1 N, serta pembuatan briket dengan variasi komposisi serbuk gergaji : batubara (0:100, 25:75, 50:50, 75:25, 100:0) dan variasi konsentrasi oksidator KMnO₄ (4%, 5%, 6%). Karakterisasi briket dilakukan berdasarkan laju pembakaran, kadar air, kadar abu, kadar volatil, kadar karbon tetap, dan nilai kalor. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kondisi optimum diperoleh pada komposisi 100 g serbuk gergaji : 0 g batubara dengan penambahan oksidator KMnO₄ 6%, yaitu menghasilkan nilai kalor 6784,691 kal/gr, kadar air 6,9435%, kadar abu 1,2209%, kadar volatile matter 0,2973%, kadar karbon tetap 91,5383%, serta laju pembakaran 0,1929 gr/menit. Hasil tersebut telah memenuhi standar mutu arang briket sesuai SNI No. 01-6235-2000
PENGARUH BEBAN KERJA DAN KAPASITAS WATT PEAK TERHADAP EFFISIENSI PLTS SISTEM OFF GRID MENGGUNAKAN DOUBLE BATTERY 12 V
Penelitian ini menganalisis efisiensi sistem Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Surya (PLTS) off-grid dengan konfigurasi double battery VRLA 12 V. Tujuannya adalah untuk mengkaji pengaruh variasi beban kerja (400–800 Watt) dan kapasitas panel surya (100–400 Wp) terhadap kinerja sistem secara menyeluruh. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif eksperimental dengan mengukur parameter listrik pada setiap komponen sistem, seperti panel surya, Solar Charge Controller (SCC), baterai, dan inverter. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa efisiensi panel surya dan SCC mengalami peningkatan seiring dengan penambahan kapasitas daya panel. Efisiensi panel meningkat dari 15% (100 Wp) menjadi lebih dari 18% (400 Wp), sementara efisiensi SCC naik dari 94% menjadi 97%. Efisiensi inverter juga meningkat seiring dengan peningkatan beban kerja, mencapai nilai optimal pada beban 800 Watt. Secara keseluruhan, efisiensi total sistem PLTS berkisar antara 12,47% hingga 16,70%, dengan efisiensi tertinggi tercapai pada kombinasi panel 400 Wp dan beban 800 Watt. Dari hasil tersebut, disimpulkan bahwa sistem PLTS off-grid yang diuji menunjukkan performa yang efisien dan stabil, menjadikannya alternatif energi terbarukan yang andal. Peningkatan kapasitas panel surya dan beban kerja berkorelasi positif dengan peningkatan efisiensi sistem
Pengaruh Degradasi Perlite Terhadap Peningkatan Heat Ingress dan Boil-Off Gas (BOG) pada Tangki LNG
Perlite merupakan material isolasi kriogenik yang berperan penting dalam menjaga suhu Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) tetap stabil pada –162°C di dalam tangki penyimpanan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh degradasi perlite terhadap peningkatan heat ingress dan pembentukan boil-off gas (BOG) pada tangki LNG. Studi dilakukan berdasarkan hasil pengujian termal pada LNG Storage Tank F-6004 di PT. Perta Arun Gas, yang menunjukkan nilai konduktivitas termal aktual perlite sebesar 0,11271 W/m·K, jauh di atas spesifikasi desain ≤ 0,044 W/m·K. Kenaikan nilai konduktivitas ini mengindikasikan penurunan kemampuan isolasi perlite akibat faktor kelembapan, usia material, dan distribusi densitas yang tidak seragam. Akibatnya, laju perpindahan panas ke dalam tangki meningkat, yang berimplikasi pada peningkatan pembentukan gas hasil penguapan (BOG) serta menurunnya efisiensi penyimpanan LNG. Upaya mitigasi yang direkomendasikan meliputi penggantian total perlite menggunakan metode vibration filling untuk mencapai kepadatan yang seragam serta pengujian ulang konduktivitas termal pasca-instalasi. Hasil penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa degradasi perlite memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap stabilitas suhu kriogenik dan keselamatan operasional tangki LNG
THE EFFECT OF INFLATION AND EDUCATION LEVEL ON PER CAPITA EXPENDITURE IN NORTH SUMATRA
This study aims to determine the effect of inflation and the level of education on per capita expenditure in North Sumatra in 2004-2023. The research method used in this study is a multiple linear regression method. The results of this study indicate that partially the inflation rate has no effect on per capita expenditure in North Sumatra. While the level of education has a positive and significant effect on per capita expenditure in North Sumatra. Simultaneously showed that the rate of inflation and the level of education affect per capita spending in North Sumatra
Religiosity as a Coping Mechanism for Burnout: A Case Study of Women Experiencing Fatherlessness
This study examines the function of religiosity as a coping strategy for burnout in women who have experienced fatherlessness. Fatherlessness, characterized by the lack of a paternal figure either physically or emotionally, has been linked to heightened susceptibility to psychological distress, encompassing identity confusion, emotional instability, and burnout. A qualitative case study methodology was employed to gather data from two Muslim women aged 18–25 through comprehensive online interviews conducted via Google Meet. The data were subjected to thematic analysis to discern persistent patterns associated with religiosity and coping behavior. The results showed five main themes: (1) losing a father figure as a cause of burnout, (2) changes in identity and emotional dynamics after loss, (3) withdrawal as a first way to deal with loss, (4) religiosity as a way to deal with emotions and spirituality, and (5) crisis and spiritual acceptance. The findings suggest that religiosity serves a transformative function in assisting individuals to cope with burnout and emotional turmoil. Religious practices, including prayer, supplication, and Qur’anic reflection, offered emotional solace, a sense of connection, and a framework for meaning-making that culminated in acceptance and gratitude. The research concludes that religiosity functions as an emotional regulator and a source of psychological resilience for fatherless women, aiding their transition from emotional distress to spiritual tranquility. Exploring the Role of Optimism in Shaping Subjective Well-Being among Tahfidz Students
This study aims to examine the relationship between optimism and subjective well-being among Tahfidz Islamic boarding school students. Students in Tahfidz schools face unique academic and spiritual demands that may influence their psychological well-being. Using a quantitative correlational research design, data were collected from 165 students selected through quota sampling. The research instruments included the Subjective Well-Being Scale by Aliya (2020) and the Optimism Scale by Asfia (2017). Data analysis employed Pearson’s Product-Moment Correlation using SPSS 26.0. The results revealed a significant positive relationship between optimism and subjective well-being (r = 0.367, p < 0.05), indicating that higher optimism corresponds to higher well-being among Tahfidz students. Among the optimism aspects, permanence showed the strongest correlation with well-being. An Overview of Student Flow in Participating in HIMAPSI Organizational Activities Amidst Academic Demands
This study aims to describe the flow experience of students who are active in the Psychology Student Association (HIMAPSI) at Malikussaleh University, amidst the academic pressures they face. Using a descriptive quantitative approach, 50 students became the subjects of the study through a total sampling technique. The research instrument was a validated flow scale that showed high reliability (Cronbach\u27s Alpha= 0.930). The results showed that the majority of students (80%) were in the moderate flow category, 14% in the high category, and 6% in the low category. The Effect of Mild Digital Detox Intervention on Students’ Affective Balance
In the digital age, students often suffer from mental health problems because they use their smartphones too much, which makes it hard for them to control their emotions and feel good about themselves. The objective of this study was to investigate the efficacy of a digital detox intervention in enhancing emotional regulation and promoting tranquility among university students. Employing a mixed-method approach with a quasi-experimental design, five participants (S1–S5) engaged in a seven-day digital detox program that limited social media and non-essential digital activities. Data were gathered via self-report scales and narrative reflection journals, subsequently analyzed descriptively and thematically. The findings demonstrated substantial enhancements in emotional stability, concentration, and sleep quality, suggesting that diminished screen exposure facilitated psychological equilibrium and inner tranquility. The results show that a digital detox can be a good way to improve mental health, especially for people who are prone to becoming dependent on technology. The Influence of Educational-Themed Films on the Learning Motivation of University Students
Learning motivation plays a vital role in achieving optimal learning outcomes. This study aimed to examine the effect of educational-themed films on enhancing students’ learning motivation. The research involved 14 psychology students from Malikussaleh University who were divided into an experimental group and a control group. The research design used was a pretest-posttest control group design. The experimental group was given an intervention using Nussa and Rara video media, while the control group was not. The results showed that the mean score of the experimental group (10.60) was higher than that of the control group (9.30). The significance value obtained was 0.015 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant difference in the gain scores between the two groups. These findings suggest that educational-themed films have a positive effect on increasing students’ learning motivation and can be used as an alternative media in the learning process to enhance motivation and engagement.Learning motivation plays a vital role in achieving optimal learning outcomes. Pelatihan Guru dalam Pengembangan Pembelajaran Matematika Berbasis Gamifikasi dan Multimedia Interaktif untuk Membangun Psychological Well-Being Siswa
Banyak siswa masih menghadapi berbagai tekanan psikologis dalam mengikuti pelajaran matematika. Matematika dianggap sulit, abstrak, dan menakutkan bagi sebagian besar siswa. Oleh karenanya diperlukan media dan strategi yang mampu mengajak siswa terlibat secara aktif, memberi umpan balik secara langsung, serta menghadirkan suasana belajar yang mendorong emosi positif seperti rasa senang, bangga, atau tertantang. Pendekatan yang tepat dalam mencapai kebutuhan tersebut dapat dilakukannya melalui pembelajaran berbasis gamifikasi dan multimedia interaktif, yang menggabungkan elemen permainan dan teknologi visual untuk menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang lebih dinamis, inklusif, dan menyenangkan. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian pada Masyarakat ini Adalah meningkatkan keterampilan guru dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis gamifikasi dan multimedia interaktif yang mampu mendukung psychological well-being siswa. Kegiatan ini dilakukan di SMPN 15 Lhokseumawe sebagai pusat sekretariat MGMP Matematika SMP Se-Kota Lhokseumawe dengan tiga tahapan, yaitu persiapan, pelaksanaan, pendampingan evaluasi. Kegiatan ini dapat memberikan dampak positif jangka panjang pada guru matematika sekota Lhokseumawe dan siswa yaitu meningkatkan keterampilan guru dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis gamifikasi dan multimedia interaktif yang mampu mendukung psychological well-being siswa. Pelatihan ini tidak hanya akan membekali guru secara teknis dalam membuat media digital, tetapi juga secara konseptual dalam merancang strategi pembelajaran yang lebih menarik, komunikatif, dan empatik terhadap kebutuhan siswa sehingga mendorong tercapainya keterlibatan belajar yang positif, perasaan kompeten terhadap tugas-tugas akademik, serta tumbuhnya rasa percaya diri dan makna dalam proses belajar
