The Ought-to-be and to-be of the Construction of Social Psychological Service System: Based on the Evaluation of 12 Pilot Areas in China
Get PDFThe construction of social psychological service system is an important measure to innovate social governance in China, which aims to solve the problems of social mentality cultivation and psychological construction. However, whether the “meaning of oughtness” of this concept can be implemented in the construction practice all over the country remains to be discussed. This study collected the network text data of the actual work situation in 12 pilot areas of social psychological service system construction in China, and coded the data according to 6 primary indicators such as organizational structure and work mode and 23 secondary indicators under them to describe the “actual situation” of construction in various places. The text analysis results show that: (1) the content orientation of the construction of social psychological service system in each pilot area has a serious tendency of “mental health”; (2) on the whole, psychosocial services only focus on “risk prevention and control”; (3) the relationship between social psychological service and social governance is misplaced. In short, there is a big gap between the “actual situation” and “meaning of oughtness” of the construction of social psychological service system all over the country

Due to the complexity of this phenomenon, it is often challenging for organizations serving this population to identify the constantly emerging needs in a routine fashion. The aim of this study is to provide comprehensive guidance to service providers on existing needs in this field and assessing the gaps in response to trafficking in persons in United States. The results of this study reveal a number of components that have to be crucially addressed for creating a need based effective multi-disciplinary and multi-agency system of service provision for victims of human trafficking

The health and well-being of older adults can be enhanced by creating a psychosocial supportive environment by placing health-promoting environmental elements in the physical environment of an elderly care facility. Visualizing the knowledge domain of multimodal discourse analysis (2009-2019): A bibliometric review
Get PDFDifferent from traditional discourse analysis, multimodal discourse analysis (MDA), a systematic analysis of different semiotic modes, utilizing language, images, sounds in a discourse, emphasizes the coordination of both dynamic and static semiotic resources. This study presents the status quo and development trend of the research field through an objective, systematic, and comprehensive review of relevant publications available from the Web of Science Core Collection. Analysis techniques including a descriptive statistical method and a bibliometric method are used. The study quantitatively analyzes the publications in terms of general characteristics, geographical distribution, high-cited representatives, and topic discovery and distribution to illustrate the development and trend of MDA. The research findings are as follows: (1) In the past 10 years or so, international MDA research has presented a significant growth trend, with flourishing research output, interest and diversification of presented subjects; (2) New topics are constantly emerging, with research topics mainly focusing on the development of visual grammar, gesture, digital technologies, conference presentations, metonymy and metaphor, etc.; (3) Research focuses mainly on multimodality, semiotics, conversation analysis, critical discourse analysis etc.; (4) The article also listed a series of important and highly influential literature, countries, journals and authors on MDA during different periods. It is hoped that this paper can provide a reference for the further study of MDA
The Role of Social Support and Environment: The Mediating Effect of College Students’ Psychology and Behavior
Get PDFPurpose: explore the interaction mechanism among college students’ social support, environment, behavior and psychology, so as to provide reference for college students’ behavior guidance and mental health intervention. Methods: 2,510 college students were investigated by general situation questionnaire and college students' quality of life evaluation concise scale (QOLCS-23). Result: (1) social support has a significant positive correlation with environment, behavior and psychology; (2) behavior plays a partial mediating role between social support, environment and college students’ psychology. The mediating effect is significant, and the proportion of mediating effect is 55.22%; (3) compared with life behavior, time management contributes more to college students’ behavior ( β = 0.75, P < 0.001). Conclusion: social support and environment can directly predict the psychology of college students, and can also indirectly affect their psychology through behavior. To improve college students’ mental health level, we should pay attention to college students’ feelings and satisfaction of social support and environment, guide college students to build good behavior, especially establish the awareness of time management

Get PDFWith the rise of experimental philosophy in the twenty-first century, the past two decades have witnessed the experimental turn in the field of philosophy of language. We delineate in this paper the experimental turn in philosophy of language before distinguishing armchair theorizing from empirical testing and highlighting the complementarity between the two approaches, and then carry out an analysis of the experimental tools and methods available for philosophical experiments with examples by classifying them into three major types, viz., the method of survey, the method of big data, and the method of cognitive neuroscience.
