Un edículo republicano dedicado a Atargatis en Carthago Nova
Get PDFA group of architectural structures found at the NE sector of Molinete´s hill in Cartagena are estudied. Consisting on a sacred room and hydraulics installations with a opus signinum pavement where a dedication to Atargatis is written. Near, there is a large base that could be considered as a temple podium. The cronologhy at the end of the second century B.C. suggests the direct penetration of the cult from the Near East and its trasmission by Syrian slaves and freedmen, well-known in Charthago Nova.Se analiza un conjunto de estructuras halladas en el sector nororicntal del cerro del Molinete (Cartagena). Consisten en un edículo pavimentado con opus signinum en el que se halla inscrita una dedicación a Atargatis asociado a una serie de cubetas e instalaciones de carácter hídrico. Al lado, restos de un gran basamento que podrían constituir el podium de un templo. La cronología de finales del siglo II a.C. indica la penetración directa de estos cultos desde oriente y su trasmisión a través de los esclavos y libertos sirios, bien documentados en la epigrafía de la ciudad

Get PDFWe present the study of the amphorae found near the Tomb of Julie in Verona, as part of an investigation that we are carring out on the Baetican amphorae found in the Veneto región (Italy). Generally the Baetican amphorae studied here may be classified as a Dr 7 or 8 of incomplete amphorae Dr 7/8 should be verified.. Petrographical and mineralogical (XR Diffraction) analyses were made on the samples of Baetican amphorae. Usual statical methods, together with a new method called here «lpercubo» were applied for the elaboration of the same quantitative data of mineralogical analyses.. The most useful results were obtained by Discriminant Analysis and the «Ipercubo» method, proving that the majority of incomplete forms Dr 7/8 have pastes similar to the pastes of the Dr 7 group.Presentamos un estudio de las ánforas béticas halladas cerca de la Tumba de Julieta en Verona que forma parte de un trabajo general sobre todas las ánforas béticas procedentes de la región. La mayoría de ellas se clasifican como Dr.7 y 8 (Beltrán IA y B), dudándose a qué tipo pertenecían algunas ánforas incompletas. Para verificarlo se realizaron análisis Petrográficos y mineralógicos (difracción de RX), aplicándose para la elaboración de los datos cuantitativos de estos últimos, además delos normales métodos estadísticos, uno nuevo que denominamos «hipercubo». Los mejores resultados se han obtenido con el método discriminante y el «hipercubo» que muestra cómo las pastas de la mayoría de las ánforas incompletas se asemejan a las del grupo Dr 7

Resultan ser todos ellos piezas de importación procedentes de Egipto, y fechables entre fines del siglo IV y la primera mitad del S. V d. C. Con ellos, pueden reconstruirse hipotéticamente cofres o paneles decorativos

Get PDFThis article examines the recent proposal put forward by a group of Spanish and French archeologist of the Discovery and reconstruction of the trophies of Pompey at Panissars in the Eastern Pyrenees. Afther a revisión of the literary evidence about this monument and reexaming the contemporary triumphal monuments, the article suggets another reconstructions of the monument according to the similar monuments of the same period.Se examina en este artículo la reciente propuesta, realizada por un equipo de arqueólogos españoles y franceses, del descubrimiento y posterior reconstrucción de los trofeos de Pompeyo en Panissars (Pirineos Orientales). Consecuentemente se analiza toda la documentación literaria existente a este propósito y se estudian los monumentos triunfales contemporáneos. A la vista del análisis parece inaceptable la reconstrucción que se ha hecho hasta el momento de dicho monumento y se proponen alternativas que se consideran más acordes con monumentos contemporáneos similares
