    Transforming traffic surveillance: a YOLO-based approach to detecting helmetless riders through CCTV

    CCTV systems, while ubiquitous for traffic surveillance in Indonesian roadways, remain underutilized in their potential. The integration of AI and Computer Vision technologies can transform CCTV into a valuable tool for law enforcement, specifically in monitoring and addressing helmet non-compliance among motorcycle riders. This study aims to develop an intelligent system for the accurate detection of helmetless motorcyclists using image analysis. The approach relies on deep learning, involving the creation of a dataset with 764 training images and 102 testing images. A deep convolutional neural network with 23 layers is configured, trained with a batch size of 10 over ten epochs, and employs the YOLO method to identify objects in images and subsequently detect helmetless riders. Accuracy assessment is carried out using the mean Average Precision (mAP) method, resulting in a notable 82.81% detection accuracy for riders without helmets and 75.78% for helmeted riders. The overall mAP score is 79.29%, emphasizing the system's potential to substantially improve road safety and law enforcement effort

    Developing an integrated business model in the manufacturing industry – An AHP approach

    Due to the market competition in the current business environment, there are many pressures in the Small and Medium-sized Enterprise (SME) manufacturers. Most SMEs are facing challenges in the market change from Mass Production (MP) to Mass Customization (MC). The purpose of this study is mainly based on drilling down into an SME manufacturer, exploring the limitation in its current business model and determining the boundaries of its operation process. This research paper designs an Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) model to develop a new business model to resolve the MC issue in the SME manufacturers. The aims of the new business model should be to improve company profit. Thereby seven criteria in the AHP model are profit, Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ), flexibility, inventory control, delivery time, revenue from existing customers and revenue from new customers for customized products. The methodology is pilot-run the new business model and compares the results among the AHP, current and new business models. The results prove that the new business model not only solves the problems in MC but also create a synergic effect on the business. The study provides a method that uses an AHP model for developing an integrated business model for SME manufacturers

    The value of the Caci dance performance: changing the perspective of cultural violence on fighting dance performances in Manggarai Indonesia

    Caci dance is one of the traditional fighting dances that is unique and contains an intense value. Caci is often displayed during traditional events of the Manggarai tribe. This shows that Caci is an essential part of the journey of the Manggarai community. Caci dance is now widely known because of its uniqueness and because the dance moves are hazardous because they contain physical violence; this is undoubtedly very interesting to study more deeply. The main problem is How the value of Caci reduces the perspective of Violence in Caci perceived by the audience. This study aims to determine the values that exist in the Caci dance and how the true meaning of Caci is so that it can change the perspective of the broader community that Caci is not only a dance that teaches physical violence. This descriptive qualitative research is located in Lentang Village, Lelak District, Manggarai Regency. Data was collected directly from local sources through interviews with traditional leaders and conducting a content analysis on YouTube channels categorised as having many viewers, national television channels, and Caci performances. This study shows that the art of Caci dance does not teach physical violence. Still, Caci has strong historical values and influences the social life of the Manggarai community. Caci has a definite philosophical meaning, showing the character of the Caci players.     Manga matrix's approach to creating Indonesian ghost game visual characters on Dreadeye VR

    Visual imagery is the most important part of game design. Game designers should pay particular attention so that the visual character of the game can be effectively realized and able to convey the depth of its visual meanings. Taking use of the widespread fear of the Indonesian Ghost's appearance, the game is able to present challenges to its players. This study aims to develop the creation of character designs, especially by elevating visual images of Indonesian ghosts into visual characters' in-game media. The method for designing Indonesian ghost characters is to dismantle the visual image of Indonesian ghost characters in the Dreadeye VR game. The strategy is to consider the following three components: (1) the matrix of shapes, (2) the costume matrix, and (3) the matrix of traits. All three were analyzed with the approach of manga matrix theory. This research has led to the emergence of relatively distinct ghost figures that are frequently feared by Indonesians, such as pocong, kuntilanak, and tuyul. By examining the matrices of the shape, costume, and nature of each character of the three Indonesian ghosts, it is possible to conclude that to create visual characters of Indonesian ghosts, game designers must identify these three components, while the contribution of this research is to provide a visual image analysis model including shape imagery, costume imagery, and traits imagery of Indonesian ghosts used in the Dreadeye VR Game in Indonesia

    Type developing an Islamic education curriculum on outcomes-based education as a defensive strategy facing the challenges of industry revolution 4.0

    The Revolution of Industry 4.0 threatens the existence of the science of Islamic education if the curriculum is not outcomes based. The development of Islamic higher education curriculum allows the creation of new academic subjects which integrates learning, research and service to produce innovative and tested work. The aim of this research is to put forward a curriculum development model or prototype as a strategy to maintain the science of Islamic education learning programs in the era of Industry Revolution 4.0. The research approach is qualitative of the phenomenological type. The setting of the research is the learning program for the Masters in Islamic Education (Magister Pendidikan Agama Islam – MPAI), Faculty of Islam, Ahmad Dahlan University. The choice of this research setting is because the curriculum of this learning program has created new academic subjects which have an outcome-based integrated learning, research and service, as a result on reaching the three year point it has gained full accreditation from the Higher Education National Accreditation Board (Badan Akreditasi Nasional–Perguruan Tinggi – BAN-PT). Respondents in the research are the MPAI academic community which comprise six lecturers including the Chair of the Study Program and Secretariat of the Study Program together with eighty students studying at the masters level. The research results show that the MPAI learning program has created two new academic subjects that is, Islamic Education Studies and Intellectual Property Rights (Hak Kekayaan Intelektual – HKI) together with Neuroscience and Islamic Education Theory. Both new subjects have mobilized research which has produced innovative works obtaining more than sixty intellectual property rights and occupying the first rank in publications in national and international journals in the the Sinta Index 2020 data base. This shows that this learning program is able to maintain a scientific existence in the era of the industry revolution through outcome-based curriculum development

    Junior high school student perception of online learning in pandemic Covid-19: Gender, social media ownership, and internet access duration perspective

    This study aims to explore students’ perceptions of the implementation of online learning during the pandemic in terms of gender perspective, ownership of social media, and duration of internet access. This research was conducted by a survey involving 87 students (P = 51% and L = 49%) in junior high school. Data were analyzed using Logit Value of Item (LVI) and Wright map combined with Logit Value of Person (LVP). Students’ perceptions were reviewed based on gender, social media ownership, and duration of daily internet access. The results showed that, in general, students have a positive perception of online learning. Based on gender, male and female students have almost the same positive perception of online learning. In terms of ownership of social media accounts, students with one account or two social media accounts have a perception of online learning above the average logit person. Most students who access the internet for more than 5 hours have a perception above the average logit person. Students whose internet access duration is 3-4 hours have a perception above the average logit person. So, gender, social media ownership, and internet access duration of 3-4 hours have positive perceptions of online learning

    Digital literation of citizens neighborhood association’s WhatsApp group in response Covid-19 information

    This research aims to find out the competence of digital literacy of citizens to infodemic received through WAG neighborhood association 09 Dipowinatan. This research was conducted using qualitative interpretative research with research method of netgraph analysis. The data collection method used in this study was participant observation at the Dipowinatan neighborhood association on WAG. Research findings in this study are infodemic which occurred during the pandemic, also hit neighborhood association’s WAG 09 Dipowinatan. Two more years passed the Covid-19 Pandemic in Indonesia. The Indonesian people, especially the residents of neighborhood association 09 Dipowinatan, are taking a new order in dealing with Covid-19, including experiencing an infodemic. Infodemic occurs because of digital media and social media, which is very fast in disseminating information to receive the information quickly. The information regarding Covid-19 was no exception that the residents of neighborhood association 09 Dipowinatan received through the WhatsApp Group (WAG) Thus, digital literacy is needed for residents in dealing with this infodemic situation. This situation does not rule out that the information is disseminated, the information included in the disinformation group. However, this situation can anticipate with the digital literacy skills that residents must select and sort out the right information during the infodemic. State apparatus through the Head of neighborhood association / hamlet, and religious leaders in practice in neighborhood association’s WAG O9 can also be an alternative to mediating in situations if there is a debate in finding the truth regarding misinformation in WAG

    Stabilizing of Inverted Pendulum System Using Robust Sliding Mode Control

    The Inverted Pendulum is a highly nonlinear, unstable, and fast dynamic system. These characteristics make it a popular benchmark for building and testing novel controllers. Therefore, in this study, a sliding mode controller is proposed and tested on the inverted pendulum system. According to the results of the simulation experiments with a sine signal as a reference, the proposed controller can stabilize the system well and has so fast response. Moreover, we have tuned the parameters of the proposed sliding mode controller in order to eliminate the chattering effect, the overshoot, and the steadystate error

    Power Assist Rehabilitation Robot and Motion Intention Estimation

    This article attempts to review papers on power assist rehabilitation robots, human motion intention, control laws, and estimation of power assist rehabilitation robots based on human motion intention in recent years. This paper presents the various ways in which human motion intention in rehabilitation can be estimated. This paper also elaborates on the control laws for the estimation of motion intention of the power assist rehabilitation robot. From the review, it has been found that the motion intention estimation method includes: Artificial Intelligence-based motion intention and Model-based motion intention estimation. The controllers include hybrid force/position control, EMG control, and adaptive control. Furthermore, Artificial Intelligence based motion intention estimation can be subdivided into Electromyography (EMG), Surface Electromyography (SEMG), Extreme Learning Machine (ELM), and Electromyography-based Admittance Control (EAC). Also, Model-based motion intention estimation can be subdivided into Impedance and Admittance control interaction. Having reviewed several papers, EAC and ELM are proposed for efficient motion intention estimation under artificial-based motion intention. In future works, Impedance and Admittance control methods are suggested under model-based motion intention for efficient estimation of motion intention of power assist rehabilitation robot.  In addition, hybrid force/position control and adaptive control are suggested for the selection of control laws. The findings of this review paper can be used for developing an efficient power assist rehabilitation robot with motion intention to aid people with lower or upper limb impairment

    The possible application of intelligent systems in traditional courtyard houses in Iraq

    The focus on the Intelligent System (IS) in our existing types of building is a question of suitability, rather than creativity to enhance the building performance. This research explores the possible application of IS in improving the performance of courtyard houses in Baghdad, Iraq by answering the research two questions which are Q1: What does the traditional courtyard house (TCH) contain that should enhanced its performance? Q2: How (IS) could be added to the TCH in Iraq? The investigation which was done through literature review of courtyard houses type as seen beside intelligent building is supported by case studies investigation 12 (TCH) in Al-Kadhimiya through physical survey, observation, and documentation, in addition to 24 semi structure interviews with occupants of the same houses, and then using the qualitative method to analyse the data collection. The key findings highlight the need for adding new systems and architectural values to such TCH which is the basis of adding intelligence systems in such houses to enhance their performance. This could be improving the partial control of the environment related to structure and materials; decreasing the environmental challenges related to the ease of making modifications, the role of government regulations, and modernization requirements. Minimizing social struggles related to the idea of place psychology. Therefore, the current study concludes that the TCH could be as a contender of IS to enhance its performance through retrofit of such houses that contain high architectural value and re-build these houses with low architectural value and slum structure
