    Classification system model for project sustainability

    One of the problems faced by the state-owned electricity company (PT. PLN) in Indonesia is the difficulty of monitoring the progress of an ongoing project so that it requires a technology that can help project managers in monitoring project implementation. The data in this study consisted of 117 Win project data and 89 Lose project data with a total of 206 data. The system development used extreme programming with algorithmic testing, namely the configuration matrix. The result of this research showed that the model could produce an accuracy of 92.68% with an error percentage of 7.32%, which means that the model produced good accuracy in implementing the C4.5 algorithm in recognizing patterns of project development.     Sentiment analysis of wayang climen using naive bayes method

    This research focuses on sentiment analysis of Wayang Climen performances in Indonesia using the Naïve Bayes algorithm. Wayang, a traditional puppet show, holds cultural significance and has persisted alongside modern entertainment options. The study collected public comments from Dalang Seno and Ki Seno Nugroho's YouTube channels, classified them into positive, negative, and neutral sentiments, and employed a translation process to align comments with program language objectives. Preprocessing steps included case folding, removing punctuation, tokenizing, stopword removal, and post-tagging. To address data class imbalances, resampling was performed using the Synthetic Minority Oversampling Technique (SMOTE). The Naïve Bayes algorithm was utilized for data classification, exploring various translation scenarios. Evaluation involved the confusion matrix method and metrics like accuracy, precision, recall, and f-measure. Results demonstrated that the Dalang Seno train data scenario outperformed Ki Seno Nugroho's, with higher precision, recall, accuracy, and f-measure values. Additionally, the translation scenario from Indonesian to English yielded the most effective results. In conclusion, this study highlights the suitability of the Naïve Bayes algorithm for sentiment analysis in the context of Wayang Climen performances, with practical implications for understanding public sentiment in the digital age

    Factors affecting students’ intentions toward green entrepreneurship in COVID-19 pandemic times: A case study of Egyptian universities

    The impact of government assistance, entrepreneurial self-efficacy, conceptual development support, and educational development support on green entrepreneurial aspirations through university curriculum during the COVID-19 epidemic is explored in this research. It is the first of its kind in Egypt and is based on a sample population of 502 undergraduate students from various faculties at five Egyptian universities (two public, two private, and one institution with international cooperation). It employs structural equation modelling via SmartPLS. This study can assist other Egyptian universities in creating strategic plans for environmental initiatives and ensuring that students are given the necessary skills to succeed. The study aims to evaluate the impact of conceptual development support offered by universities in terms of fostering interest and presenting novel ideas to students to start a new project, government support provided in terms of laws and programs to encourage entrepreneurship, development of university curriculum to promote entrepreneurial self-efficacy through regular courses, postgraduate practices, and networking with entrepreneurs. Academics, especially those in universities in Egypt or other Arab or African nations, as well as policymakers, can gain from this research's potential to build new standards to support green entrepreneurship and sustainable economies

    Evaluation of an Iranian ELT book series

    Evaluating textbooks to ensure their efficacy and consistency with the course objectives is imperative as they are considered as pivotal components in English language teaching. The present study was an attempt to analyze and evaluate a local Iranian ELT book series taught at the adult department of Iran Language Institute (the ILI). In doing so, 60 English language teachers teaching English at the ILI for at least three years were invited to check their opinions on each item of the Nativized Checklist to Evaluate General English Course Books in Iran developed by Shatery and Azargoon (2012) who adapted and validated Joshua Mickley’s Checklist (2005) for the Iranian context. The design of the study was descriptive, and the data obtained were subjected to descriptive statistics to determine the frequency and percentage of the participants’ responses. The findings revealed that, generally speaking, the participants held a negative standpoint toward the content of the books. It was concluded the books need thorough modification and change. More elements of communicative language teaching need to be implemented and incorporated into the books and they need to get closer and closer to the real-world needs of the learners. Besides, more cultural elements should be provided to reinforce the learners’ cultural awareness and understanding of the target language. The findings have implications for materials developers, syllabus designers and language teachers

    Adaptive PID Fault-Tolerant Tracking Controller for Takagi-Sugeno Fuzzy Systems with Actuator Faults: Application to Single-Link Flexible Joint Robot

    This paper considers the problem of Fault Tolerant Tracking Control (FTTC) strategy design for nonlinear systems using Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy models with measurable premise variables affected by actuator faults subject to unknown bounded disturbances (UBD). Firstly, the Adaptive Fuzzy Observer (AFO) is proposed to estimate the faults. Based on the information provided by this observer, an active fault tolerant tracking controller described by an adaptive Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) structure has been developed to compensate for the actuator fault effects and to guarantee the trajectory tracking of desired outputs to the reference model despite the presence of actuator faults. The stability and the trajectory tracking performances of the proposed approach are analyzed based on the Lyapunov theory. Sufficient conditions can be obtained and solved for the design of the controller, and the observer gains using Linear Matrix Inequalities (LMIs). Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed technique is illustrated by using a single-link flexible joint robot

    Comparison and Review of Face Recognition Methods Based on Gabor and Boosting Algorithms

    The face plays an essential role in identifying people and showing their emotions in society. The human ability to recognize faces is remarkable. But face recognition is a fundamental problem in many computer programs. Due to the inherent complexities of the face and the many changes in its features, different algorithms for face recognition have been introduced in the last 20 years. Face recognition methods that are based on the structure of the face are unsupervised methods that produce good results compared to the linear changes that occur in the image. In this article, the Gabor algorithm, which is the origin of face recognition algorithms, has been described. Over the past decade, most of the research in the area of pattern classification has emphasized the use of the Gabor filter bank for extracting features. Because the Gabor algorithm has shortcomings, researchers have introduced a new method that is a combination of Gabor and PCA. After the introduction of the Gabor method, more complete and accurate algorithms have been introduced, such as Boosting algorithms, which we have briefly explained in this article. Also, here are the results of the comparison made by the researchers between Boosting and Gabor algorithms. The results show that Boosting-based algorithms have performed better compared to Gabor-based algorithms

    Technological, social, and environmental changes are occurring globally. The disruption of technology will impact all sectors of human life. Sociocultural changes occur in the demographics and socioeconomics of the world population. During this chaotic condition, the Indonesian nation, with a large population and natural resources, must inevitably adapt to the global environment. Statistics Center Agency and World Bank data show that Indonesian student enrollment rates are rising, but preschool and tertiary gaps remain. Despite rising student enrollment, Indonesian education remains in crisis. One of the backbones of the nation's civilization to face global competition is good and mature planning in the education sector that adapts to global demands. This paper reviews the future of Indonesian education based on the mapping between Ki Hadjar Dewantara’s education model, the Indonesian education roadmap 2020-2015, the disrupted education model in 2020, The WEF Education 4.0 Framework, and the Future of the classroom model. This paper results in a future Indonesian education model framework to realize Indonesia's education vision for 2035

    Cerita dari Blora;  Knitting the Wisdom of Sedulur Sikep was the festival title of its second year (2019) in Blora Regency, which was part of the Indonesiana Platform. The name of the festival is taken from the title of a short stories collection with the same title by a Blora-born author, namely Pramoedya Ananta Toer. This study aims to determine the festival format with the mutual cooperation (gotong royong) concept, which was carried out together by the Tourism and Culture Office of Blora Regency, the community and the Director General of Culture. This research is a qualitative research conducted during the preparation stage and during the festival in order to gain knowledge on how to strengthen the capacity of festival governance through the Indonesiana Platform. Cerita dari Blora Festival was part of the mutual cooperation platform to strengthen the management capacity of cultural activities, as a forum for strengthening cultural ecosystems, as well as to know the concept of tradition and local wisdom at the Temu Ageng Sedulur Sikep event. The results of the study show that through the Temu Ageng event, there is synergy between local governments, where the cultural services synergize and work together with communities, artists and the development of cultural ecosystems in the area, and also work together with the UPT (Technical Implementation Unit) of the Ministry of Education and Culture in the area such as Archaeological Halls, Museums, Cultural Heritage Preservation Centers, as well as various institutions, companies, and CSR in each regio

    A study of the covid-19 infographic design issued by Indonesian Ministries in online media

    The Indonesian Government Ministry has carried out a health campaign to prevent the spread of COVID-19. One of his campaign strategies is to publish infographics in online media. This study describes the existence of infographics produced by the Ministry of Government of the Republic of Indonesia during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research design is qualitative descriptive research with a case study approach. Data were obtained by random sampling through digital data browsing on the internet, recording, in-depth observation, and content analysis. The data obtained were analyzed using interactive analysis. The results of this study reveal that the infographics produced by the Ministry of the Government of Indonesia consist of various types and forms. Each type and form has a constituent structure, Vitruvius principles, and aspects, which are almost the same pattern. Furthermore, the research team found that the infographic aims to convey persuasive appeals, news, statistical data, and messages regarding preventing the spread of COVID-19. The various infographics also play a role in increasing public awareness about the dangers of COVID-19, being disciplined in implementing health protocols and playing a role in suppressing the spike in the spread of COVID-19 in all regions in Indonesi

    Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Self Tuned-PID Controller for Stabilization of Core Power in a Pressurized Water Reactor

    There has been a lot of interest in generating electricity using nuclear energy recently. This interest is due to the features of such a source of energy. The main part of the nuclear energy system is the reactor core, especially the most widely used Pressurized Water Reactor (PWR). This reactor is the hottest part of the nuclear system; security risks and economic possibilities must be considered. Controlling this reactor can increase the security and efficiency of nuclear power systems. This study presents a dynamic model of the (PWR), including the reactor's core, the plenums of the upper and lower, and the connecting piping between the reactor core and steam generator. In addition, an adaptive neuro-fuzzy (ANFIS) self-tuning PID Controller for the nuclear core reactor is presented. This adaptive controller is used to enhance the performance characteristics of PWR by supporting the profile of the reactor power, the coolant fuel, and hot leg temperatures. The suggested proposed ANFIS self-tuning controller is estimated through a comparison with the conventional PID, neural network, and fuzzy self-tuning controllers. The results showed that the proposed controller is best over traditional PID, neural network, and fuzzy self-tuning controllers. All simulations are throughout by using MATLAB/SIMULINK
