Rudimentary Study of Chien Lang Shan（ Midorino Takejirō）, Taiwanese Royally Appointed member of The House of peers.
Get PDF3848Chien Lang Shan（簡朗山）, born in 1872 in Taoyuan, was an entrepreneur,
local Governor and a Taiwanese Imperial Japanese government collaborator.
An unpopular governor, he supported the Japanese language education
movement. Later he supported the campaign to become a subject of the
Japanese Emperor. Through those actions, he was recognized as a collaborator
by the Imperial Japanese government and appointed as a member of the House
of Peers during the colonial occupation of Taiwan until the closing days of
WW2. His career demonstrates one of the types of relationships that existed
between the Japanese colonial rulers and members of local society in colonial

Word-Formation of Modern Japanese Adjectives
Get PDF3828For this article 458 adjectives of different length were collected from ten novels, including Ukigumo （Floating Clouds）, which is said to be the first modern novel in Japan, and attempted to discuss their word formation.
Firstly, I described the correlation between the theory of word composition and the theory of word structure in word formation. This paper argues that the emphasis should be placed on word structure theory, when discussing word formation.
Secondly, the word formation of modern adjectives was analyzed and examined for compound elements and modes.
Finally, the semantic relationships in the composition of compound adjectives were investigated while comparing them with the semantic relationships of compound nouns.departmental bulletin pape

Creating a Democratic Space in School ―The case of a seminar on“ Reconsidering School Together”―
Get PDF3830The purpose of this paper is to present the problem of school space, which has been designed as a place of education, and to reconsider it as a symbol of the local community. Currently, school consolidation is increasing rapidly in Japan due to the declining birthrate and financial problems. Such a situation not only leads to the loss of learning opportunities, but also to the deprivation of opportunities for interaction between local residents and encounters between adults and children. While many discussions on the educational effects of school consolidation have been covered in previous studies, the significance of retaining schools by compounding has not been discussed much. School compounding means incorporating non-school facilities into school facilities.
Therefore, in this paper, we will consider what kind of methods can be considered to create a diverse learning space, through the seminar on the theme of school compound held in 2019. Kanzo Uchimura and His Time（４） ― Second Coming Movement and Taisho Democracy ―
Get PDF3743After the First World War broke out and the United States of America
participated in the war, Kanzo Uchimura launched the Second Coming
Movement. Because Uchimura thought that the world was heading to disaster
and only Jesus’s second coming could bring perpetual world peace and the
Kingdom of God. Therefore Uchimura was critical of democracy and world
peace as set forth by the League of Nations.
In opposition to Uchimura, two Christian leaders, Danjo Ebina and Masahisa
Uemura−who belonged to the mainstrem protestant churches in Japan−
criticized the Second Coming Movement. Especially Ebina−a strong opponent
of Uchimura−characterrized the belief in the Second Coming of Christ as
destructive to national existence, unreasonable, unscientific, unbiblical and
unchristian. They supported the progress of democracy and the establishiment
of world peace by the League of Nations.
The difference between Uchimura and Ebina or Uemura can be summarized
in two key points, Firstly while the former held a pessimistic view of history,
the latter supported the evolution of history. Secondly Uchimura literally
believed in the prophecy of the Second Coming of Christ, whereas Ebina and
Uemura interpreted the Second Coming of Christ as figurative. and spiritual.
But contrary to the expectation of Ebina and Uemura,after the era of Taisho
democracy, Japan embarked on the road to fascism and war. Therefore the

many parts and materials production lines in China. However, China is
increasingly becoming a risky business environment due to issues such as the
huge Evergrande Group debt problem, a worsening economy, and countrywide
power outages. In addition to the Uighur human rights issue and the Taiwan
issue, China is engaged in territorial disputes in the South China Sea and the
Senkaku Islands. Affected by the strained US-China relations, China is under
pressure from strengthened US export control regulations and economic
sanctions. Thus, Toyota is currently faced with a difficult decision. If Toyota
invests in China, the United States will make excessive demands on it. On the
other hand, if it invests in the US, an already fragile relationship with China
may collapse. Toyota is now at a crossroads of important strategic choices. In
this paper, we try to clarify the internal and external environment in which

Froebel’s radical idea of“ Kindergarten” was banned by Prussian Government but became very popular in the U. S. during the 1870s and 1880s; childhood education being an urgent priority for the increasing numbers of immigrant children.
Froebelian education is based on theology and each material, called“ a gift”, had theological meaning. Gifts attracted many American educators, for their both profundity and practicality. However, the usage of the gift needed special training because they can readily become a tool to control children even though their original purpose was to enhance children’s creativity.
The Silver Street Kindergarten, which was established in San Francisco in 1878, researched organic ways to adopt the gifts in children’s daily program. Japanese Traditional Music in an Elementary School Music Course Concept Curriculum: A Starting Point for education to cultivate national cultural sensitivity

The starting point for cultivating this sensitivity is elementary education, where everyone receives education. In this paper, I envisioned a curriculum in which Japanese traditional music is systematically studied in elementary school music education. As a concrete example, I used the region of Kita-Kawachi in Osaka. In Japanese traditional music, there are regional performing arts, starting with warabeuta（traditional Japanese children’s song）, and there is art music. In the lower grades, we organized the basic rhythms and vocal techniques of Japanese folk songs, as well as warabeuta, which have been learnt since kindergarten. In the middle grades, we have organized local folk songs and performing arts. Specifically, through an interview with the designated manager of Park A in Osaka Prefecture, we will clarify how they are trying to secure financial resources and improve public services.
As a result of a survey, they tried to secure financial resources by adjusting the schedule of various sports groups, saving on utility bills, reducing outsourcing, and holding small-scale events. In addition, they had various public relations strategies in place to raise awareness of Park A.
It was also clarified that they are trying to improve citizen services by responding flexibly and individually to park users. As a result, it was also found that connections with local residents and organizations were gradually formed.
