The Social Effects and Challenges of Reexamination of School Rules Based on Student Participation and Dialogue among Stakeholders: A case study of“ Rulemaking Project” at Yasuda Girls’ Junior and Senior High School
Get PDF3767Schools have important roles in preparing students for civic life, and making them engage in examining and revising their school rules could be one way to fulfill such a mission. The purpose of this paper is to investigate what students learn from participating in reexamination of their school rules and engaging in dialogue with diverse stakeholders during the process. The paper utilizes a case of“ Rule-making project” at a Japanese girls’ junior and senior high school, supported by NPO staff and other experts.
The project yielded a variety of civic effects. Student members of the project became more confident in conveying their ideas to others and making a difference in their schools. They also deeply understood the value of dialogue and learned the importance of understanding others. In addition, there were some schoolwide effects on students’ efficacy, trust, and intention of civic engagement. However, there were also some issues and challenges, such as the power relationship between teachers（or other adults）and students, and inclusion of direrse students in the process.departmental bulletin pape

Therefore, we have to think about COVID-19 and cannot participate in activities as we did previously. Accordingly, the writer reconsiders the role of club managers.
The writer took office as a manager in O University Women’s Football Club and then had to think about this role because a manager has to consider both the sport and the team.

A Common Undergraduate First-year Seminar Course by Systematizing the "Research Project"
Get PDF3806In this paper, we focused on first-year university education in particular, we refactored the "research project" as a "project for developing oneself" and designed a specific class program. Three results were obtained. First, we were able to establish the "research project" as a pillar of the program while retaining a flexible range of operation. Second, the process of redesigning the
seminar contributed to the sharing of common views and knowledge within the faculty. Third, the "research project" provided a smooth connection to the introduction of BYOD （Bring Your Own Device）, which was brought forward due to the outbreak of COVID-19.
On the other hand, there are two issues that need to be addressed in the future: first, we were not able to verify the effects of the re-conceptualization of the learners. The second issue is the elaboration of the teaching materials. Effect of Seaweed Components on the Growth of Lactic Acid Bacteria −Comparison between animal lactic acid bacteria and plant origin lactic acid bacteria−
Get PDF3824,3831,3832,2376Many varieties of seaweed grow in Japan, and we have incorporated a large amount of seaweed into our diet. Many reports have been made on the bioactivity of seaweed. Seaweed is rich in water-soluble dietary fiber, and these fibers are known to be prebiotics that support the growth of good bacteria such as lactic acid bacteria. On the other hand, we have been ingesting lactic acid bacteria, one of the intestinal bacteria, as food for a long time. In this study, we investigated the effects of seaweed（kombu, wakame, nori）components on Lactobacillus bulgaricus, Streptococcus thermophilus）and Lactobacillus brevis KB290.
It was confirmed that the addition of kombu, wakame, and nori all affected the growth of lactic acid bacteria. Furthermore, it was also shown that there is a difference in response to seaweed components between lactic acid bacteria and plant origin lactic acid bacteria.departmental bulletin pape

This paper examines the Federalism in the Federal Republic of Austria,
chiefly the division of functions between Bund, the federal state, and Länder,
the individual states.
Firstly, we see the main provisions of the Austrian Constitution（Bundes-
Verfassungsgesetz〔B-VG〕）related to these functions, namely Articles 10-15,
which show clearly the centralization of Austrian Federalism in comparison
with that of Germany or Switzerland.
Secondly, we see the participation of Länder in the legislation or
administration of Bund, and the co-operation of Bund with the legislation or
administration of Länder.
Thirdly, we see examine the control and compulsory execution of Bund on
Länder.
Lastly, we examine the relations between the constitution of Bund and that
