The Post-war Nanga Movement as Seen in: Commemorating the Establishment of the Japan Nanga-Institute
Get PDF2163Research on the Japan Nanga Institute （Nihon Nanga-in） has been slow to date. The reason for this is the lack of basic materials. This study examines the conditions of the early years of the Institute, using a newly discovered source, a volume commemorating its foundation. It shows that the Japan Nanga Institute was attempting to halt the decline of the art of nanga, and to nurture the artists of the next generation by introducing expression that would change with the times.departmental bulletin pape
Overcoming Difficulties Experienced by University Faculty and Staff Regarding Students’ Utilization of the Student Counseling Center
Get PDF3053This study aimed to find out how university faculty and staff encourage university students to use the student counseling center. A total of 78 university faculty and staff members participated. They were presented with the questions:“ What difficulties do you experience when encouraging students to use the student counseling center?” and “What do you do to encourage students to use the student counseling center?” The analysis of the open-ended responses indicated that the answers fell into seven categories: 1）Forming a trusting relationship regularly, 2）Involving other departments, 3）Lowering the barriers of use, 4）Explaining the benefits of use, 5）Emphasizing confidentiality, 6）Respecting autonomy, 7）Recommending actual student utilization. Furthermore, the result indicated the various ways of encouraging college students to use the student counseling center—before, during, and after recommending it. Effects of the Spread of COVID-19 infection on the Activities and Physical Fitness of Elderly People Living in the Community
Get PDF3814,76,3693,3815The purpose of this study was to clarify the physical and mental effects before and after the spread of a new coronavirus infection in communitydwelling elderly people with established exercise habits. The subjects of the study were elderly people with exercise habits. Eleven elderly women between the ages of 69 and 81 years（mean age: 76.64 ± 3.78 years）who were able to perform two fitness measurements were included in the study.
The survey was conducted twice, in February and November 2020. The results of the physical fitness measurement showed that flexibility improved significantly, but items related to lower limb muscle groups decreased significantly. In order to respond to situations such as a declaration of a state of emergency in the future, it is urgent to consider methods of support such as devising training menus and exercises with appropriate exercise intensity that can be implemented at home.departmental bulletin pape

Get PDF3759A federal state consists of smaller individual states, nine in Austria, and responsibility for legislation, administration and jurisdiction are divided between the states and the federation.
This paper examines the Federalism in the Federal Republic of Austria, chiefly the division of functions between Bund, the federal state, and Länder, the individual states.
Firstly, we see the main provisions of the Austrian Constitution（BundesVerfassungsgesetz〔B-VG〕） related to these functions, namely Articles 10-15, which show clearly the centralization of Austrian Federalism in comparison with that of Germany or Switzerland.
Secondly, we see the participation of Länder in the legislation or administration of Bund, and the co-operation of Bund with the legislation or administration of Länder. Thirdly, we see examine the control and compulsory execution of Bund on Länder.

Get PDF3827When five or six-year-old girls draw portraits, womanly characteristics appear prominently, for example, they have long hair eyelashes pink cheeks hair ornaments such as ribbons triangle-shaped bodies signifying skirts, and are wearing dresses with decorations, etc. These characteristics begin to appear when children become three years old and they appear more strongly when they are five. These phenomena are considered to be caused by relationships with other girls during their drawing activities.
For this study, I made a survey of drawing activities in the senior kindergarten class, and observed what changes were caused in drawing portraits by relationships with other girls through their conversations and videos taken in the class.departmental bulletin pape
Application Status and Issues of the Revised Corporate Governance Code: in connection with corporate governance reforms
Get PDF3785Efforts by corporations to strengthen governance are making steady progress overall as has been seen in the first section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange, JPX-Nikkei 400 companies, and companies with the highest market capitalization. However, the understanding of the necessity for supervision by external directors regarding the appointment and remuneration of management has not permeated.
On June 14, 2013, the government policy for reviewing corporate governance was announced. Also, on June 1, 2018, the corporate governance code was revised and items on the use of voluntary nomination committees, compensation committees, and the supervision of management succession plans for boards of directors were expanded.
Corporate governance reform is in the process of deepening from form to substance. For example, a few companies have systematized and practiced successor candidate development.
In this paper, we focus on the application status and issues of the revised corporate governance code. We also examine the status of nomination and compensation committees, the roles of and requirements for outside directors, and the development of managers.departmental bulletin pape
The Current Status and Prospects of Special Activities : Through the Descriptions by Students in a Teacher Training Course

As a result of the research, it was suggested that when dealing with the contents of class activities and homeroom activities in special activities, the importance and priority differ depending on the type of school.
In other words, especially for students who have written a learning guidance plan for elementary school, the item of ""career formation and self-actualization of each indivisual"" may not be a high priority in special activities. Regarding career formation, students may think that it is still early in elementary school due to timing issues.
On the other hand, for students who have written a high school learning guidance plan, it is time for them to think about a future course that is realistic and how to live their own lives, so there is more awareness of the need for special activities.departmental bulletin pape

A Re-examination of Media Effects Theory
Get PDF3798This article re-examines the strong effects theory, a popular theory in mass media studies. First of all, there is the theory of bullet effect, typified by Cantril's research on Orson Welles' The Invasion from Mars. However, this has been questioned and controversy continues to this day.
But in the first place, Cantril did not advocate bullet theory, nor was the Martian Riot intended by the radio station to panic people. Furthermore, the Martian invasion Riot itself was fake news.
Some kinds of hoaxes and also demythologization spread readily according to the media effects theory. In this paper, an overview of this is given and it is suggested that it would be better to reposition the media effects theory, which has been conducted as part of Media Studies, into the category of rumor studies.
