The Effect of Instruction Based on "Embodiment" for University English Education
P(論文)This study aims to show how English instruction based on “embodiment” has an effect on the English learning of university students. It is shown that the approach based on embodiment gives a new insight into university English education, where the analytical approach has been mainly taken. It is suggested that the holistic approach could be useful for university students, while the analytical approach is more efficient in understanding grammar. Moreover, it will be claimed that the cognitive viewpoint of learning is useful not only in the English education of elementary, junior high and high schools but also in university English education.departmental bulletin pape

The Legal Status of Rights-of-way across Auctioned Land
P(論文)The owner of a piece of land had recognized the right-of-way of others to cross the land. A mortgage was set on the land, it was then auctioned and purchased by another person. The new owner refused to allow others to cross the land because their rights-of-way had not been registered. The problem could not be resolved by negotiation, so in order to get their rights of way recognized, the parties who wished to cross the land went to court.
The courts have not made clear rulings on this issue until recently, but in 2013 the Supreme Court delivered clear criteria in order to solve this problem. This article examines the history and theory of this interesting judgment by the Supreme Court.departmental bulletin pape

Self-oriented perfectionism was classified into two types: negative perfectionism and passive perfectionism. The Tokyo Marathon and Japan - Media Coverage -
P(論文)The Tokyo marathon has become the first full-scale urban marathon in Japan. People who previously took no interest in running have begun to show interest in the Tokyo marathon. Thus a second running boom is now taking place. This is different from that of the late 1970s because the media covers marathons on a large scale. I would like to consider how Japanese running culture has been built up by the media and how the culture has penetrated Japanese society. The results are as follows.
Newspapers covered ordinary participants and citizen runners in the Tokyo marathon and spotlighted them. Family ties was seen in the newspaper articles, and such words as Thanks, thank you and supporting appeared frequently. These words may be closely connected with the fact that marathons are extreme and that no one can run without the support of other people. They may also be connected with Japanese gregariousness and bonding.departmental bulletin pape
