Here we investigate the achievements of the “Kansai Sports Network Exchange Meeting” and think about how we can contribute to the development of the Kansai region sports industry in the future.

Current Status and Issues of Training in Support of Job Seekers ― Analysis of Unemployment Rate for Each Prefecture ―
Get PDFWhen Lehman Brothers went bankrupt in 2008, as in previous global financial crises, many workers became unemployed. The situation required that the government support non-regular workers who were not qualified to receive employment insurance.
In 2011, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare established a law to support of employment of specified job seekers through the implementation of job training.
The support system for job seekers has been created by this law with the aim of helping them to find a job faster by improving their skills through job training.
Public Employment Security Offices or “Hello Work” gives job seekers “training in support of job seeking” for free in principle and increased benefits for doing the job training.
However, only a few percent of specified job seekers applied to join the system, and the attendance rate for them has decreased year by year. We investigate the actual conditions of training in support of job seekers for each prefecture, discuss the problems of the support system, and make suggestions for improvement.3P論文Articledepartmental bulletin pape

Get PDFFirstly this article deals with the history of sanatoriums for leprosy patients especially from the standpoint of famous leaders like Souichi Iwashita, Kensuke Mitsuda, who was called the father of leprosy patients, and Fumio Hayashi, who was a faithful disciple of Mitsuda.
Secondly it analyzes the attitude of Tadao Yanaihara toward leprosy patients.
He did not regard leprosy as a heavenly punishment, but as a heavenly grace and insisted on the hope of the resurrection of the body. He also esteemed the dignity of the patients and their right to live. He visited several sanatoriums like
Tama Zenshoen Sanatorium, the National Leprosarium（ 多摩全生園）, Nagashima Aiseien（ 愛生園）, and Hoshizuka Keiaien（ 敬愛園） and held lecture meetings for patients in each sanatorium.
Thirdly this article evaluates the problems of the compulsory segregation policy and the movement of“ no leprosy patients in each prefecture.” How did Yanaihara respond to such compulsory segregation? Although he did not resist
the segregation policy, at least before the antibiotic Promin was invented in 1943, he did not think that leprosy was a shameful disease or that the purity of the nation should be maintained. He preferred the dignity of patients to the

The Effect of the Guide Runner’s Methodology on the Blind Long distance runner’s form
Get PDFThe purpose of this study was to examine the Effect of “guide runner’s”(GR) Methodology on The “Long distance blind runner’s”(BR) form. BRs (4 males and 4 females) who needed a guide rope served and a BR (1 male) who participated
in Paralympic Game as subjects. The BRs ran in a six positional types with a GR, and we recorded running forms with a VTR camera and their forms were analyzed by the analysis system, and immediately after running we asked all the
BRs using a questionnaire about the guiding methodology. As the result, 8 out of 9 BRs responded that the best position was alongside, with the arm motion is synchronized (A-type). All BRs responded that the worst position was when the
GR position is diagonally behind and on the either side, with the arm motion is unsynchronized (F-type). Running speed of E-type (diagonally in front on either side, arm position unsynchronize) was significantly faster than the A-type. The
step length of the F-type was significantly shorter than the A-type (p<0.05). Our findings suggest that The Guide Runner’s Methodology have effect on Blind runner’s form.6P研究ノートResearch Notedepartmental bulletin pape
The Pros and Cons of Video Games as Recognized by University Students
Get PDFIn recent years, the harmful effects of video games accompanied by virtual reality in addition to violent imagery has been pointed out. This study uses the KJ method to undertake a qualitative study of how children are affected by video games that include violent imagery, focusing on university and college students as subjects who have many opportunities to interact with video games.
As a result, it was found that opportunities exist for children to engage with video games including violent imagery at an early age, and the possibility was suggested that this may have a negative effect over the long term. On the other hand, games including violent imagery also represent a means of interacting with others, and it is important to provide instruction on how to interact with video games including violent imagery at an early stage.1P論文Articledepartmental bulletin pape

This paper examines the Federalism in the Federal Republic of Austria,
chiefly the division of functions between Bund, the federal state, and Länder, the individual states.
Firstly, we see the main provisions of the Austrian Constitution (Bundes-Verfassungsgesetz 〔B-VG〕) related to these functions, namely Articles 10-15, which show clearly the centralization of Austrian Federalism in comparison with that of Germany or Switzerland.
Secondly, we see the participation of Länder in the legislation or administration of Bund, and the co-operation of Bund with the legislation or administration of Länder.
Thirdly, we see examine the control and compulsory execution of Bund on Länder.

Research Trends on the Effects of School Climate on Youth Civic Development:\nWith a Focus on Empirical Research in the U.S. built upon Political Socialization
Get PDFThis research note organizes the previous research on school climate, focusing on its effect on youth civic development, mainly based on the U.S. context. Political socialization research, which gives us some theoretical background to understand the relationship between schooling and youth civic development, implies that school influences students’ civic outcome not only through formal curriculum but also through informal/hidden curriculum. Next, various empirical research on school climate is reviewed. Based on the review, I showed that school climate related to civic outcome consists of both classroom-level and schoolwide-level, and its characteristics include general democratic climate and openness to social and political discussion. Such school climate influences students’ civic knowledge, civic disposition, and future social/political participation, and the effects are especially larger for socioeconomically disadvantaged students. Although the effects of school climate alone might be relatively small compared to more direct approach to civic education, we still need further research to investigate how school climate and other civic education initiatives interact each other and influence students’ civic development.6P研究ノートResearch Notedepartmental bulletin pape
